Associated to a simple root of a finite-dimensional complex semisimple Lie algebra, there are several endofunctors (defined by Arkhipov, Enright, Frenkel, Irving, Jantzen, Joseph, Mathieu, Vogan and Zuckerman) on the BGG category $\mathcal{O}_0$. We study their relations, compute cohomologies of their derived functors and describe the monoid generated by Arkhipov's and Joseph's functors and the monoid generated by Irving's functors. It turns out that the endomorphism rings of all elements in these monoids are isomorphic. We prove that the functors give rise to an action of the singular braid monoid on the bounded derived category of $\mathcal{O}_0$. We also use Arkhipov's, Joseph's and Irving's functors to produce new generalized tilting modules.
This is the second paper of a series of papers on a version of categories $\mathcal{O}$ for root-reductive Lie algebras. Let $\mathfrak{g}$ be a root-reductive Lie algebra over an algebraically closed field $\mathbb{K}$ of characteristic $0$ with a splitting Borel subalgebra $\mathfrak{b}$ containing a splitting maximal toral subalgebra $\mathfrak{h}$. For some pairs of blocks $\overline{\mathcal{O}}[λ]$ and $\overline{\mathcal{O}}[μ]$, the subcategories whose objects have finite length are equivalence via functors obtained by the direct limits of translation functors. Tilting objects can also…
Let $Λ_Q$ be the preprojective algebra of a finite acyclic quiver $Q$ of non-Dynkin type and $D^b(\mathrm{rep}^n Λ_Q)$ be the bounded derived category of finite dimensional nilpotent $Λ_Q$-modules. We define spherical twist functors over the root category $\mathcal{R}_{Λ_Q}$ of $D^b(\mathrm{rep}^n Λ_Q)$ and then realize the Weyl group associated to $Q$ as certain subquotient of the automorphism group of the Ringel-Hall Lie algebra $\mathfrak{g}(\mathcal{R}_{Λ_Q})$ of $\mathcal{R}_{Λ_Q}$ induced by spherical twist functors. We also present a conjectural relation between certain Lie subalgebras …
We associate to an arbitrary positive root $α$ of a complex semisimple finite-dimensional Lie algebra $\mfrak{g}$ a twisting endofunctor $T_α$ of the category of $\mfrak{g}$-modules. We apply this functor to generalized Verma modules in the category $\mcal{O}(\mfrak{g})$ and construct a family of $α$-Gelfand--Tsetlin modules with finite $Γ_α$-multiplicities, where $Γ_α$ is a commutative $\C$-subalgebra of the universal enveloping algebra of $\mfrak{g}$ generated by a Cartan subalgebra of $\mfrak{g}$ and by the Casimir element of the $\mfrak{sl}(2)$-subalgebra corresponding to the root $α$. Thi…
In the case of rational Cherednik algebras associated with cyclic groups, we give an alternative proof that the projective object $P_{\text{KZ}}$ representing the KZ-functor is isomorphic to the $Δ$-module associated with the coinvariant algebra for a subset of parameter values from which all parameter values can be obtained by integral translations. We also specify the exact parameter values for which this isomorphism occurs. Furthermore, we determine the action of the cyclotomic Hecke algebra on $P_{\text{KZ}}$ for these parameter values, thereby giving a complete algebraic description of th…
In the previous article "Hearts of twin cotorsion pairs on exact categories", we introduced the notion of the heart for any cotorsion pair on an exact category with enough projectives and injectives, and showed that it is an abelian category. In this paper, we construct a half exact functor from the exact category to the heart. This is analog of the construction of Abe and Nakaoka for triangulated categories. We will also use this half exact functor to find out a sufficient condition when two different hearts are equivalent.
A correspondence functor is a functor from the category of finite sets and correspondences to the category of $k$-modules, where $k$ is a commutative ring. We determine exactly which simple correspondence functors are projective. Moreover, we analyze the occurrence of such simple projective functors inside the correspondence functor $F$ associated with a finite lattice and we deduce a direct sum decomposition of $F$.

We show that every simple transitive $2$-representation of the $2$-category of projective functors for a certain quotient of the quadratic dual of the preprojective algebra associated with a tree is equivalent to a cell $2$-representation.
A correspondence functor is a functor from the category of finite sets and correspondences to the category of k-modules, where k is a commu-tative ring. A main tool for this study is the construction of a correspondence functor associated to any finite lattice T. We prove for instance that this functor is projective if and only if the lattice T is distributive. Moreover, it has quotients which play a crucial role in the analysis of simple functors. The special case of total orders yields some more specific and complete results.
The chromatic functor of a simple graph is a functorization of the chromatic polynomial. M. Yoshinaga showed in \cite{Yoshinaga2015} that two finite graphs have isomorphic chromatic functors if and only if they have the same chromatic polynomial. The key ingredient in the proof is the use of stable partitions of graphs. The latter is shown to be closely related to chromatic functors. In this note, we further investigate some interesting properties of chromatic functors associated to simple graphs using stable partitions. Our first result is the determination of the group of natural automorphis…
For a semisimple complex Lie algebra $\mathfrak g$, the BGG category $\mathcal{O}$ is of particular interest in representation theory. It is known that Irving's shuffling functors $\mathrm{Sh}_{w}$, indexed by elements $w\in W$ of the Weyl group, induce an action of the braid group $B_W$ associated to $W$ on the derived categories $D^\mathrm{b}(\mathcal{O}_λ)$ of blocks of $\mathcal{O}$. We show that for maximal parabolic subalgebras $\mathfrak{p}$ of $\mathfrak{sl}_n$ corresponding to the parabolic subgroup $W_\mathfrak{p}=S_{n-1}\times S_1$ of $S_n$, the derived shuffling functors $\mathbf{L…
In this paper we study simple transitive $2$-representations of certain $2$-subcategories of the $2$-category of projective functors over a star algebra. We show that in the simplest case, which is associated to the Dynkin type $A_2$, simple transitive $2$-representations are classified by cell $2$-representations. In the general case we conjecture that there exist many simple transitive $2$-representations which are not cell $2$-representations and provide some evidence for our conjecture.
Let $G$ be a $p$-adic Lie group associated to a connected reductive group over $\mathbb{Q}_{p}$. Let $P$ be a parabolic subgroup of $G$ and let $M$ be a Levi quotient of $P$. In this paper, we define a $δ$-functor $H^{\star}J_{P}$ from the category of admissible locally analytic $G$-representations to the category of essentially admissible locally analytic $M$-representations that extends the Jacquet-Emerton module functor $J_{P}$ defined by Emerton.
We give the inversion formula and the Plancherel formula for the hypergeometric Fourier transform associated with a root system of type $BC$, when the multiplicity parameters are not necessarily nonnegative.
Ginzburg, Guay, Opdam and Rouquier established an equivalence of categories between a quotient category of the category $\mathcal{O}$ for the rational Cherednik algebra and the category of finite dimension modules of the Hecke algebra of a complex reflection group $W$. We establish two generalizations of this result. On the one hand to the extension of the Hecke algebra associated to the normaliser of a reflection subgroup and on the other hand to the extension of the Hecke algebra by a lattice.
We investigate correspondence functors, namely the functors from the category of finite sets and correspondences to the category of $k$-modules, where $k$ is a commutative ring. They have various specific properties which do not hold for other types of functors. In particular, if $k$ is a field and if $F$ is a correspondence functor, then $F$ is finitely generated if and only if the dimension of $F(X)$ grows exponentially in terms of the cardinality of the finite set $X$. In such a case, $F$ has finite length. Also, if $k$ is noetherian, then any subfunctor of a finitely generated functor is fin…
This paper focuses on a question raised by Holm and Jørgensen, who asked if the induced cotorsion pairs $(Φ({\sf X}),Φ({\sf X})^{\perp})$ and $(^{\perp}Ψ({\sf Y}),Ψ({\sf Y}))$ in $\mathrm{Rep}(Q,{\sf{A}})$ -- the category of all $\sf{A}$-valued representations of a quiver $Q$ -- are complete whenever $(\sf X,\sf Y)$ is a complete cotorsion pair in an abelian category $\sf{A}$ satisfying some mild conditions. Recently, Odabaşı gave an affirmative answer if the quiver $Q$ is rooted and the cotorsion pair $(\sf X,\sf Y)$ is further hereditary. In this paper, we improve Odabaşı's work by removing …
Let $G$ be a $p$-adic Lie group with reductive Lie algebra $\mathfrak{g}$. In analogy to the translation functors introduced by Bernstein and Gelfand on categories of $U(\mathfrak{g})$-modules we consider similarly defined functors on the category of coadmissible modules over the locally analytic distribution algebra $D(G)$ on which the center of $U(\mathfrak{g})$ acts locally finite. These functors induce equivalences between certain subcategories of the latter category. Furthermore, these translation functors are naturally related to those on category $\mathcal{O}$ via the functors from cate…
Given a non-semisimple braided tensor category, with oplax tensor functors from known braided tensor categories, we ask : How does this knowledge characterize the tensor product and the braiding? We develop tools that address this question. In particular we prove that the associator is fixed by the oplax tensor functors, and we show that a distinguished role is played by the coalgebra structure on the image of theses tensor functors. Our setup constrains the form of quasi bialgebras appearing in the logarithmic Kazhdan-Lusztig conjecture and it applies in particular to the representation categ…
Given a collection of $t$ subspaces in an $n$-dimensional $\mathbb{K} $-vector space $W$ we can associate to them $t$ vanishing ideals in the symmetric algebra $\mathcal{S}(W^*) = \mathbb{K}[x_1,x_2,\dots,x_n]$. As a subspace is defined by a set of linear equations, its vanishing ideal is generated by linear forms so it is a linear ideal. Conca and Herzog showed that the Castelnuovo-Mumford regularity of the product of $t$ linear ideals is equal to $t$. Derksen and Sidman showed that the Castelnuovo-Mumford regularity of the intersection of $t$ linear ideals is at most $t$ and they also showed…
