The present paper deals with the representation theory of the reflection equation algebra, connected with a Hecke type R-matrix. Up to some reasonable additional conditions the R-matrix is arbitrary (not necessary originated from quantum groups). We suggest a universal method of constructing finite dimensional irreducible non-commutative representations in the framework of the Weyl approach well known in the representation theory of classical Lie groups and algebras. With this method a series of irreducible modules is constructed which are parametrized by Young diagrams. The spectrum of central elements s(k)=Tr_q(L^k) is calculated in the single-row and single-column representations. A rule for the decomposition of the tensor product of modules into the direct sum of irreducible components is also suggested.
In this paper, we offer a presentation for the Weyl group of an affine reflection system $R$ of type $A_1$ as well as a presentation for the so called hyperbolic Weyl group associated with an affine reflection system of type $A_1$. Applying these presentations to extended affine Weyl groups, and using a description of the center of the hyperbolic Weyl group, we also give a new finite presentation for an extended affine Weyl group of type $A_1$. Our presentation for the (hyperbolic) Weyl group of an affine reflection system of type $A_1$ is the first non-trivial presentation given in such a gen…
We compute the center and Azumaya locus in the simplest non-abelian examples of quantized multiplicative quiver varieties at a root of unity: quantum Weyl algebras of rank $N$, and quantum differential operators on the quantum group $\mathrm{GL}_2$. These examples illustrate in elementary terms much more general phenomena explored further in [Ganev-Jordan-Safronov 2019].
Motivated by Brundan-Kleshchev's work on higher Schur-Weyl duality, we establish mixed Schur-Weyl duality between general linear Lie algebras and cyclotomic walled Brauer algebras in an arbitrary level. Using weakly cellular bases of cyclotomic walled Brauer algebras, we classify highest weight vectors of certain mixed tensor modules of general linear Lie algebras. This leads to an efficient way to compute decomposition matrices of cyclotomic walled Brauer algebras arising from mixed Schur-Weyl duality, which generalizes early results on level two walled Brauer algebras.
The notion of a Weyl module, previously defined for the untwisted affine algebras, is extended here to the twisted affine algebras. We describe an identification of the Weyl modules for the twisted affine algebras with suitably chosen Weyl modules for the untwisted affine algebras. This identification allows us to use known results in the untwisted case to compute the dimensions and characters of the Weyl modules for the twisted algebras.
In this paper, we introduce the sign q-permutation representation of the Iwahori-Hecke algebra on the tensor space of the graded vector space. We establish Schur-Weyl reciprocity between the quantum general super Lie algebra and the Iwahori-Hecke algebra. Our result includes Schur-Weyl reciprocity of both the super case and the quantum case, and unifies those two important cases.
We identify level one global Weyl modules for toroidal Lie algebras with certain twists of modules constructed by Moody-Eswara Rao-Yokonuma via vertex operators for type ADE and by Iohara-Saito-Wakimoto and Eswara Rao for general type. The twist is given by an action of $\mathrm{SL}_{2}(\mathbb{Z})$ on the toroidal Lie algebra. As a byproduct, we obtain a formula for the character of the level one local Weyl module over the toroidal Lie algebra and that for the graded character of the level one graded local Weyl module over an affine analog of the current Lie algebra.
We propose a general method to realize an arbitrary Weyl group of Kac-Moody type as a group of birational canonical transformations, by means of a nilpotent Poisson algebra. We also give a Lie theoretic interpretation of this realization in terms of Kac-Moody Lie algebras and Kac-Moody groups.
Equivariant map algebras are Lie algebras of algebraic maps from a scheme (or algebraic variety) to a target finite-dimensional Lie algebra (in the case of the current paper, we assume the latter is a simple Lie algebra) that are equivariant with respect to the action of a finite group. In the first part of this paper, we define global Weyl modules for equivariant map algebras satisfying a mild assumption. We then identify a commutative algebra A that acts naturally on the global Weyl modules, which leads to a Weyl functor from the category of A-modules to the category of modules for the equiv…
We present methods and explicit formulas for describing simple weight modules over twisted generalized Weyl algebras. When a certain commutative subalgebra is finitely generated over an algebraically closed field we obtain a classification of a class of locally finite simple weight modules as those induced from simple modules over a subalgebra isomorphic to a tensor product of noncommutative tori. As an application we describe simple weight modules over the quantized Weyl algebra.
We prove an integral version of the Schur--Weyl duality between the specialized Birman--Murakami--Wenzl algebra $B_n(-q^{2m+1},q)$ and the quantum algebra associated to the symplectic Lie algebra sp_{2m}. In particular, we deduce that this Schur--Weyl duality holds over arbitrary (commutative) ground rings, which answers a question of Lehrer and Zhang [Strongly multiplicity free modules for Lie algebras and quantum groups, J. Algebra (1) 306 (2006), 138--174] in the symplectic case. As a byproduct, we show that, as $Z[q,q^{-1}]$-algebra, the quantized coordinate algebra defined by Kashiwara is…
We compute all the spin fake degrees for the exceptional Weyl groups, which are by definition the graded multiplicities of the simple modules of a spin Weyl group in its spin coinvariant algebra. The spin fake degrees are all shown to be palindromic polynomials.
We present an independent short proof of the main result of arXiv:0706.3725 that the algebra of endomorphisms of a Weyl module of critical level is isomorphic to the algebra of functions on the space of monodromy-free opers on the disc with regular singularity and residue determined by the highest weight of the Weyl module. We derive this from the results of arXiv:0712.1183 about the shift of argument subalgebras.
We construct a family of homomorphisms between Weyl modules for affine Lie algebras in characteristic p, which supports our conjecture on the strong linkage principle in this context. We also exhibit a large class of reducible Weyl modules beyond level one, for p not necessarily small.
This paper presents a $q$-analogue of an extension of the tensor algebra given by the same author. This new algebra naturally contains the ordinary tensor algebra and the Iwahori-Hecke algebra type $A$ of infinite degree. Namely this algebra can be regarded as a natural mix of these two algebras. Moreover, we can consider natural "derivations" on this algebra. Using these derivations, we can easily prove the $q$-Schur-Weyl duality (the duality between the quantum enveloping algebra of the general linear Lie algebra and the Iwahori-Hecke algebra of type $A$).
We describe a new large class of Lorentzian Kac--Moody algebras. For all ranks, we classify 2-reflective hyperbolic lattices S with the group of 2-reflections of finite volume and with a lattice Weyl vector. They define the corresponding hyperbolic Kac--Moody algebras of restricted arithmetic type which are graded by S. For most of them, we construct Lorentzian Kac--Moody algebras which give their automorphic corrections: they are graded by the S, have the same simple real roots, but their denominator identities are given by automorphic forms with 2-reflective divisors. We give exact construct…
Deformation theory can be used to compute the cohomology of a deformed algebra with coefficients in itself from that of the original. Using the invariance of the Euler-Poincare characteristic under deformation, it is applied here to compute the cohomology of the Weyl algebra, the algebra of the quantum plane, and the q-Weyl algebra. The behavior of the cohomology when q is a root of unity may encode some number theoretic information.
We extend the classification of finite Weyl groupoids of rank two. Then we generalize these Weyl groupoids to `reflection groupoids' by admitting non-integral entries of the Cartan matrices. This leads to the unexpected observation that the spectrum of the cluster algebra of type $A_{n-3}$ completely describes the set of finite reflection groupoids of rank two with $2n$ objects.
We introduce a new family of twisted generalized Weyl algebras, called multiparameter twisted Weyl algebras, for which we parametrize all simple quotients of a certain kind. Both Jordan's simple localization of the multiparameter quantized Weyl algebra and Hayashi's q-analog of the Weyl algebra are special cases of this construction. We classify all simple weight modules over any multiparameter twisted Weyl algebra. Extending results by Benkart and Ondrus, we also describe all Whittaker pairs up to isomorphism over a class of twisted generalized Weyl algebras which includes the multiparameter …
We prove that any twisted generalized Weyl algebra satisfying certain consistency conditions can be embedded into a crossed product. We also introduce a new family of twisted generalized Weyl algebras, called multiparameter twisted Weyl algebras, for which we parametrize all simple quotients of a certain kind. Both Jordan's simple localization of the multiparameter quantized Weyl algebra and Hayashi's $q$-analog of the Weyl algebra are special cases of this construction. We classify all simple weight modules over any multiparameter twisted Weyl algebra. Extending results by Benkart and Ondrus,…
We study on Weyl modules of cyclotomic $q$-Schur algebras. In particular, we give the character formula of the Weyl modules by using the Kostka numbers and some numbers which are computed by a generalization of Littlewood-Richardson rule. We also study corresponding symmetric functions. Finally, we give some simple applications to modular representations of cyclotomic $q$-Schur algebras.
Belov-Kanel and Kontsevich conjectured that the group of automorphisms of the n'th Weyl algebra and the group of polynomial symplectomorphisms of C^2 are canonically isomorphic. We discuss how this conjecture can be approached by means of (second) quantized Weyl algebras at roots of unity.
We give a unified construction of quantum groups, q-Boson algebras and quantized Weyl algebras and an action of quantum groups on quantized Weyl algebras. This enables us to give a conceptual proof of the semi-simplicity of the category $\mathcal{O}(B_q)$ introduced by T.Nakashima and the classification of all simple objects in it.
On any Reflection Equation algebra corresponding to a skew-invertible Hecke symmetry (i.e. a special type solution of the Quantum Yang-Baxter Equation) we define analogs of the partial derivatives. Together with elements of the initial Reflection Equation algebra they generate a "braided analog" of the Weyl algebra. When $q\to 1$, the braided Weyl algebra corresponding to the Quantum Group $U_q(sl(2))$ goes to the Weyl algebra defined on the algebra $\Sym((u(2))$ or that $U(u(2))$ depending on the way of passing to the limit. Thus, we define partial derivatives on the algebra $U(u(2))$, find t…
Yetter--Drinfel'd modules of diagonal type admit an equivalence relation which conjecturally preserves dimension and Gel'fand--Kirillov dimension of the corresponding Nichols algebras. This relation is determined explicitly for all rank 2 Yetter--Drinfeld modules where the Gel'fand--Kirillov dimension is known to be finite. Key Words: Brandt groupoid, Hopf algebra, pseudo-reflections, Weyl group
We introduce a q-analogue MW_q for the meromorphic Weyl algebra, and study the normalization problem and the symmetric powers sym^n(MW_q) for such algebra from a combinatorial viewpoint.
For any complex reflection group $G=G(m,p,n)$, we prove that the $G$-invariants of the division ring of fractions of the $n$:th tensor power of the quantum plane is a quantum Weyl field and give explicit parameters for this quantum Weyl field. This shows that the $q$-Difference Noether Problem has a positive solution for such groups, generalizing previous work by Futorny and the author. Moreover, the new result is simultaneously a $q$-deformation of the classical commutative case, and of the Weyl algebra case recently obtained by Eshmatov et al. Secondly, we introduce a new family of algebras …
All -1-type pointed Hopf algebras and central quantum linear spaces with Weyl groups of exceptional type are found. It is proved that every non -1-type pointed Hopf algebra with real $G(H)$ is infinite dimensional and every central quantum linear space over finite group is finite dimensional. It is proved that except a few cases Nichols algebras of reducible Yetter-Drinfeld modules over Weyl groups of exceptional type are infinite dimensional.
We introduce nil-Hecke algebras for Weyl groupoids. We describe a basis and some properties of these algebras which lead to a notion of Bruhat order for Weyl groupoids.
Motivated by Weyl algebra analogues of the Jacobian conjecture and the Tame Generators problem, we prove quantum versions of these problems for a family of analogues to the Weyl algebras. In particular, our results cover the Weyl-Hayashi algebras and tensor powers of a quantization of the first Weyl algebra which arises as a primitive factor algebra of $U_q^+(\mathfrak{so}_5)$.
Motivated by work of Kac and Lusztig, we define a root system and a Weyl groupoid for a large class of semisimple Yetter-Drinfeld modules over an arbitrary Hopf algebra. The obtained combinatorial structure fits perfectly into an existing framework of generalized root systems associated to a family of Cartan matrices, and provides novel insight into Nichols algebras. We demonstrate the power of our construction with new results on Nichols algebras over finite non-abelian simple groups and symmetric groups. Key words: Hopf algebra, quantum group, root system, Weyl group
We prove that Nichols algebras of irreducible Yetter-Drinfeld modules over classical Weyl groups $A \rtimes \mathbb S_n$ supported by $\mathbb S_n$ are infinite dimensional, except in three cases. We give necessary and sufficient conditions for Nichols algebras of Yetter-Drinfeld modules over classical Weyl groups $A \rtimes \mathbb S_n$ supported by $A$ to be finite dimensional.
We construct a model of the affine nil-Hecke algebra as a subalgebra of the Nichols-Woronowicz algebra associated to a Yetter-Drinfeld module over the affine Weyl group. We also discuss the Peterson isomorphism between the homology of the affine Grassmannian and the small quantum cohomology ring of the flag variety in terms of the braided differential calculus.
The theory of Nichols algebras of diagonal type is known to be closely related to that of semisimple Lie algebras. In this paper the connection between both theories is made closer. For any Nichols algebra of diagonal type invertible transformations are introduced, which remind one of the action of the Weyl group on the root system associated to a semisimple Lie algebra. They give rise to the definition of a Brandt groupoid. As an application an alternative proof of classification results of Rosso, Andruskiewitsch, and Schneider is obtained without using any technical assumptions on the braidi…
We study some aspects of noncommutative differential geometry on a finite Weyl group in the sense of S. Woronowicz, K. Bresser {\it et al.}, and S. Majid. For any finite Weyl group $W$ we consider the subalgebra generated by flat connections in the left-invariant exterior differential algebra of $W.$ For root systems of type $A$ and $D$ we describe a set of relations between the flat connections, which conjecturally is a complete set.
All Lie bialgebra structures on the Heisenberg--Weyl algebra $[A_+,A_-]=M$ are classified and explicitly quantized. The complete list of quantum Heisenberg--Weyl algebras so obtained includes new multiparameter deformations, most of them being of the non-coboundary type.
The $κ-$Poincare group and its algebra in an arbitrary basis are constructed. The $κ-$de\-formation of the Weyl group and its algebra in any dimensions and in the reference frame in which $g_{00}=0$ are discussed.
We first prove that for a Weyl algebra over a field of positive characteristic, its norm based extension is locally Auslander regular. We then prove that given an algebra which is Zariski locally isomorphic to the Weyl algebra, its norm based extension similarly defined is locally Auslander regular if and only if it is isomorphic to the original Weyl algebra.
We study actions of pointed Hopf algebras in the $\ZZ$-graded setting. Our main result classifies inner-faithful actions of generalized Taft algebras on quantum generalized Weyl algebras which respect the $\ZZ$-grading. We also show that generically the invariant rings of Taft actions on quantum generalized Weyl algebras are commutative Kleinian singularities.
We study the symmetric powers of four algebras: $q$-oscillator algebra, $q$-Weyl algebra, $h$-Weyl algebra and $U({\mathfrak {sl}}_2)$. We provide explicit formulae as well as combinatorial interpretation for the normal coordinates of products of arbitrary elements in the above algebras.
In vertex algebra theory, fusion rules are described as the dimension of the vector space of intertwining operators between three irreducible modules. We describe fusion rules in the category of weight modules for the Weyl vertex algebra. This way we confirm the conjecture on fusion rules based on the Verlinde algebra. We explicitly construct intertwining operators appearing in the formula for fusion rules. We present a result which relates irreducible weight modules for the Weyl vertex algebra to the irreducible modules for the affine Lie superalgebra $\widehat{gl(1 \vert 1)}$.
We show that endomorphisms of Weyl algebras over fields of characteristic zero are flat and that birational endomorphisms are automorphisms by reducing to positive characteristic. We also give examples showing that endomorphisms of Weyl algebras are not in general flat over fields of positive characteristic.
A nonlinear transformation in the momentum space is constructed which converts the deformed action of Lorentz and Weyl generators on momenta into the standard one.
We give a necessary condition for Morita equivalence of simple Generalized Weyl algebras of classical type. We propose a reformulation of Hodges' result, which describes Morita equivalences in case the polynomial defining the Generalized Weyl algebra has degree 2, in terms of isomorphisms of quantum tori, inspired by similar considerations in noncommutative differential geometry. We study how far this link can be generalized for $n\ge 3$.
We apply Weyl $n$-algebras to prove formality theorems for higher Hochschild cohomology. We present two approaches: via propagators and via the factorization complex. It is shown that the second approach is equivalent to the first one taken with a new family of propagators we introduce.
In this note we solve the isomorphism problem for the multiparameter quantized Weyl algebras, in the case when none of the deformation parameters q_i is a root of unity, over an arbitrary field.
We show that except in several cases conjugacy classes of classical Weyl groups $W(B_n)$ and $W(D_n)$ are of type {\rm D}. We prove that except in three cases Nichols algebras of irreducible Yetter-Drinfeld ({\rm YD} in short )modules over the classical Weyl groups are infinite dimensional.
We introduce Weyl n-algebras and show how their factorization homology may be used to define invariants of manifolds. In the appendix we heuristically explain why these invariants must be perturbative Chern-Simons invariants.
In this paper a new quasi-triangular Hopf algebra as the quantum double of the Heisenberg-Weyl algebra is presented. Its universal R-matrix is built and the corresponding representation theory are studied with the explict construction for the representations of this quantum double. \newpage
We study actions of semisimple Hopf algebras H on Weyl algebras A over a field of characteristic zero. We show that the action of H on A must factor through a group algebra; in other words, if H acts inner faithfully on A, then H is cocommutative. The techniques used include reduction modulo a prime number and the study of semisimple cosemisimple Hopf actions on division algebras.
We study graded right coideal subalgebras of Nichols algebras of semisimple Yetter-Drinfeld modules. Assuming that the Yetter-Drinfeld module admits all reflections and the Nichols algebra is decomposable, we construct an injective order preserving and order reflecting map between morphisms of the Weyl groupoid and graded right coideal subalgebras of the Nichols algebra. Here morphisms are ordered with respect to right Duflo order and right coideal subalgebras are ordered with respect to inclusion. If the Weyl groupoid is finite, then we prove that the Nichols algebra is decomposable and the a…
We shall give some criteria for the existence of the Peter-Weyl type decomposition for modified quantum algebra, which is motivated by the fact that modified quantum algebra has commutative two crystal structures. We shall apply the criteria to the crystal base of the level 0 part of the modified quantum affine algebra $\widetilde U_q(\widehat{sl_2})_0$ and give more precise description of Peter-Weyl type decomposition.
For any Hecke symmetry $R$ there is a natural quantization $A_n(R)$ of the Weyl algebra $A_n$. The aim of this paper is to study some general ring-theoretic aspects of $A_n(R)$ and its relations to formal deformations of $A_n$. We also obtain further information on those quantizations obtained from some well-known Hecke symmetries.
Let $A_1=K < X, Y | [Y,X]=1>$ be the (first) Weyl algebra over a field $K$ of characteristic zero. It is known that the set of eigenvalues of the inner derivation $\ad (YX)$ of $A_1$ is $\Z$. Let $ A_1\ra A_1$, $X\mapsto x$, $Y\mapsto y$, be a $K$-algebra homomorphism, i.e. $[y,x]=1$. It is proved that the set of eigenvalues of the inner derivation $\ad (yx)$ of the Weyl algebra $A_1$ is $\Z$ and the eigenvector algebra of $\ad (yx)$ is $K< x,y> $ (this would be an easy corollary of the Problem/Conjecture of Dixmier of 1968 [still open]: {\em is an algebra endomorphism of $A_1$ an automorphism…
