We consider the exponential functional $A_{\infty}=\int_0^{\infty} e^{ξ_s} ds$ associated to a Levy process $(ξ_t)_{t \geq 0}$. We find the asymptotic behavior of the tail of this random variable, under some assumptions on the process $ξ$, the main one being Cramer's condition, that asserts the existence of a real $χ>0$ such that ${\Bbb E}(e^{χξ_1})=1$. Then there exists $C>0$ satisfying, when $t \to +\infty$ : $$ {\Bbb P} (A_{\infty}> t) \sim C t^{-χ} \quad . $$ This result can be applied for example to the process $ξ_t = at - S_α(t)$ where $S_α$ stands for the stable subordinator of index $α$ ($0 < α< 1$), and $a$ is a positive real (we have then $χ=a^{1/(α-1)}$).
We consider a Lévy process that starts from $x<0$ and conditioned on having a positive maximum. When Cramér's condition holds, we provide two weak limit theorems as $x\to -\infty$ for the law of the (two-sided) path shifted at the first instant when it enters $(0,\infty)$, respectively shifted at the instant when its overall maximum is reached. The comparison of these two asymptotic results yields some interesting identities related to time-reversal, insurance risk, and self-similar Markov processes.
The natural analogue for a Levy process of Cramer's estimate for a reflected random walk is a statement about the exponential rate of decay of the tail of the characteristic measure of the height of an excursion above the minimum. We establish this estimate for any Levy process with finite negative mean which satisfies Cramer's condition, and give an explicit formula for the limiting constant. Just as in the random walk case, this leads to a Poisson limit theorem for the number of ``high excursions.''
The reflected process of a random walk or Lévy process arises in many areas of applied probability, and a question of particular interest is how the tail of the distribution of the heights of the excursions away from zero behaves asymptotically. The Lévy analogue of this is the tail behaviour of the characteristic measure of the height of an excursion. Apparently the only case where this is known is when Cramér's condition hold. Here we establish the asymptotic behaviour for a large class of Lévy processes which have exponential moments but do not satisfy Cramér's condition. Our proof also app…
We investigate the upper tail probabilities of the all-time maximum of a stable Lévy process with a power negative drift. The asymptotic behaviour is shown to be exponential in the spectrally negative case and polynomial otherwise, with explicit exponents and constants. Analogous results are obtained, at a less precise level, for the fractionally integrated stable Lévy process. We also study the lower tail probabilities of the integrated stable Lévy process in the presence of a power positive drift.
The existence of moments of first downward passage times of a spectrally negative Lévy process is governed by the general dynamics of the Lévy process, i.e. whether the Lévy process is drifting to $+\infty$, $-\infty$ or oscillates. Whenever the Lévy process drifts to $+\infty$, we prove that the $κ$-th moment of the first passage time (conditioned to be finite) exists if and only if the $(κ+1)$-th moment of the Lévy jump measure exists. This generalises a result shown earlier by Delbaen for Cramér-Lundberg risk processes \cite{Delbaen1990}. Whenever the Lévy process drifts to $-\infty$, we pr…
We determine the rate of decrease of the right tail distribution of the exponential functional of a Levy process with a convolution equivalent Levy measure. Our main result establishes that it decreases as the right tail of the image under the exponential function of the Levy measure of the underlying Levy process. The method of proof relies on fluctuation theory of Levy processes and an explicit path-wise representation of the exponential functional as the exponential functional of a bivariate subordinator. Our techniques allow us to establish rather general estimates of the measure of the ex…
In the setting of the classical Cramer-Lundberg risk insurance model, Albrecher and Hipp (2007) introduced the idea of tax payments. More precisely, if $X = \{X_t : t\geq 0\}$ represents the Cramer-Lundberg process and, for all $t\geq 0$, $S_t = \sup_{s\leq t}X_s$, then Albrecher and Hipp (2007) study $X_t - γS_t$, $t\geq 0$, where $γ\in(0,1)$ is the rate at which tax is paid. This model has been generalised to the setting that $X$ is a spectrally negative Lévy process by Albrecher et al. \cite{albr_ren_zhou}. Finally Kyprianou and Zhou (2009) extend this model further by allowing the rate at …
We recall four open problems concerning constructing high-order matrix-exponential approximations for the infimum of a spectrally negative Levy process (with applications to first-passage/ruin probabilities, the waiting time distribution in the M/G/1 queue, pricing of barrier options, etc). On the way, we provide a new approximation, for the perturbed Cramer-Lundberg model, and recall a remarkable family of (not minimal order) approximations of Johnson and Taaffe, which fit an arbitrarily high number of moments, greatly generalizing the currently used approximations of Renyi, De Vylder and Whi…
We modify the coupling method established in [22, 20] and develop a technique to prove the exponential mixing of a 2D stochastic system forced by degenerate Levy noises. In particular, these Levy noises include $α$-stable noises (0 < $α$ < 2). Thanks to the stimulating discussion [14], this technique is promising to study the exponential mixing problem of SPDEs driven by degenerate symmetric $α$-stable noises.
This paper is concerned with the behaviour of a Lévy process when it crosses over a positive level, $u$, starting from 0, both as $u$ becomes large and as $u$ becomes small. Our main focus is on the time, $τ_u$, it takes the process to transit above the level, and in particular, on the {\it stability} of this passage time; thus, essentially, whether or not $τ_u$ behaves linearly as $u\dto 0$ or $u\to\infty$. We also consider conditional stability of $τ_u$ when the process drifts to $-\infty$, a.s. This provides information relevant to quantities associated with the ruin of an insurance risk pr…
Exponential functionals of Lévy processes appear as stationary distributions of generalized Ornstein-Uhlenbeck (GOU) processes. In this paper we obtain the infinitesimal generator of the GOU process and show that it is a Feller process. Further we use these results to investigate properties of the mapping Φ, which maps two independent Lévy processes to their corresponding exponential functional, where one of the processes is assumed to be fixed. We show that in many cases this mapping is injective and give the inverse mapping in terms of (Lévy) characteristics. Also, continuity of Φis treated …
Explicit coupling property and gradient estimates are investigated for the linear evolution equations on Hilbert spaces driven by an additive cylindrical Lévy process. The results are efficiently applied to establish the exponential ergodicity for the associated transition semigroups. In particular, our results extend recent developments on related topic for cylindrical symmetric $α$-stable processes.
We derive explicit formulas for the Mellin transform and the distribution of the exponential functional for Levy processes with rational Laplace exponent. This extends recent results by Cai and Kou on the processes with hyper-exponential jumps [N. Cai and S. Kou "Prising Asian options under a general jump diffusion model", (2010)].
For a bivariate \Levy process $(ξ_t,η_t)_{t\ge 0}$ and initial value $V_0$ define the Generalised Ornstein-Uhlenbeck (GOU) process \[ V_t:=e^{ξ_t}\Big(V_0+\int_0^t e^{-ξ_{s-}}\ud η_s\Big),\quad t\ge0,\] and the associated stochastic integral process \[Z_t:=\int_0^t e^{-ξ_{s-}}\ud η_s,\quad t\ge0.\] Let $T_z:=\inf\{t>0:V_t<0\mid V_0=z\}$ and $ψ(z):=P(T_z<\infty)$ for $z\ge 0$ be the ruin time and infinite horizon ruin probability of the GOU. Our results extend previous work of Nyrhinen (2001) and others to give asymptotic estimates for $ψ(z)$ and the distribution of $T_z$ as $z\to\infty$, under…
In this paper, BDG-type inequality for G-stochastic calculus with respect to G-Levy process is obtained and solutions of stochastic differential equations driven by G-Levy process under non-Lipschitz condition are constructed. Moreover, we establish the mean square exponential stability and quasi sure exponential stability of the solutions be means of G-Lyapunov function method. An example is presented to illustrate the efficiency of the obtained results.
This paper provides a framework for investigations in fluctuation theory for Lévy processes with matrix-exponential jumps. We present a matrix form of the components of the infinitely divisible factorization. Using this representation we establish generalizations of some results known for compound Poisson processes with exponential jumps in one direction and generally distributed jumps in the other direction.
For a Lévy process on the real line, we provide complete criteria for the finiteness of exponential moments of the first passage time into the interval $(r,\infty)$, the sojourn time in the interval $(-\infty,r]$, and the last exit time from $(-\infty,r]$. Moreover, whenever these quantities are finite, we derive their respective asymptotic behavior as $r \to \infty$.
We characterize the support of the law of the exponential functional $\int_0^\infty e^{-ξ_{s-}} \, dη_s$ of two one-dimensional independent Lévy processes $ξ$ and $η$. Further, we study the range of the mapping $Φ_ξ$ for a fixed Lévy process $ξ$, which maps the law of $η_1$ to the law of the corresponding exponential functional $\int_0^\infty e^{-ξ_{s-}} \, dη_s$. It is shown that the range of this mapping is closed under weak convergence and in the special case of positive distributions several characterizations of laws in the range are given.
We consider the problem of valuation of American options written on dividend-paying assets whose price dynamics follows a multidimensional exponential Levy model. We carefully examine the relation between the option prices, related partial integro-differential variational inequalities and reflected backward stochastic differential equations. In particular, we prove regularity results for the value function and obtain the early exercise premium formula for broad class of payoff functions.
The existence-uniqueness theory for solutions to stochastic dynamic systems is always a significant theme and has received a huge attention. The objective of this article is to study the mentioned theory for stochastic functional differential equations (SFDEs) driven by G-Lévy process. The existence-uniqueness theorem for solutions to SFDEs driven by G-Lévy process has been determined. The error estimation between the exact solution and Picard approximate solutions has been shown. In addition, the exponential estimate has been derived.
We study the exponential functional $\int_0^\infty e^{-ξ_{s-}} \, dη_s$ of two one-dimensional independent Lévy processes $ξ$ and $η$, where $η$ is a subordinator. In particular, we derive an integro-differential equation for the density of the exponential functional whenever it exists. Further, we consider the mapping $Φ_ξ$ for a fixed Lévy process $ξ$, which maps the law of $η_1$ to the law of the corresponding exponential functional $\int_0^\infty e^{-ξ_{s-}} \, dη_s$, and study the behaviour of the range of $Φ_ξ$ for varying characteristics of $ξ$. Moreover, we derive conditions for selfde…
We present a unified approach to get explicit formulas for utility maximising strategies in Exponential Levy models. This approach is related to $f$-divergence minimal martingale measures and based on a new concept of preservation of the Levy property by $f$-divergence minimal martingale measures. For common $f$-divergences, i.e. functions which satisfy $f"(x)= ax^ γ,\, a>0, \, γ\in \mathbb R$, we give the conditions for the existence of corresponding $u_f$- maximising strategies, as well as explicit formulas.
In this paper we first provide several conditional limit theorems for Lévy processes with negative drift and regularly varying tail. Then we apply them to study the asymptotic behavior of expectations of some exponential functionals of heavy-tailed Lévy processes. As the key point, we observe that the asymptotics mainly depends on the sample paths with early arrival large jump. Both the polynomial decay rate and the exact expression of the limit coefficients are given. As an application, we give an exact description for the extinction speed of continuous-state branching processes in heavy-tail…
In this work we give a complete description to the asymptotic behaviors of exponential functionals of Lévy processes and divide them into five different types according to their convergence rates. Not only their exact convergence speeds are proved, the accurate limit constants are also given. As an application, we study the survival probabilities of continuous-state branching processes in random environment defined in He et al. (2016). Like the discrete case and branching diffusion in random environment, we classify them into five different types according to their extinction speeds.
In [16], under mild conditions, a Wiener-Hopf type factorization is derived for the exponential functional of proper Lévy processes. In this paper, we extend this factorization by relaxing a finite moment assumption as well as by considering the exponential functional for killed Lévy processes. As a by-product, we derive some interesting new distributional properties enjoyed by a large class of this random variable, such as the absolute continuity of its distribution and the smoothness, boundedness or complete monotonicity of its density. This type of results is then used to derive similar pro…
In this paper, we study the existence of the density associated to the exponential functional of the Lévy process $ξ$, \[ I_{\ee_q}:=\int_0^{\ee_q} e^{ξ_s} \, \mathrm{d}s, \] where $\ee_q$ is an independent exponential r.v. with parameter $q\geq 0$. In the case when $ξ$ is the negative of a subordinator, we prove that the density of $I_{\ee_q}$, here denoted by $k$, satisfies an integral equation that generalizes the one found by Carmona et al. \cite{Carmona97}. Finally when $q=0$, we describe explicitly the asymptotic behaviour at 0 of the density $k$ when $ξ$ is the negative of a subordinato…
We study the distribution of the exponential functional $I(ξ,η)=\int_0^{\infty} \exp(ξ_{t-}) \d η_t$, where $ξ$ and $η$ are independent Lévy processes. In the general setting using the theories of Markov processes and Schwartz distributions we prove that the law of this exponential functional satisfies an integral equation, which generalizes Proposition 2.1 in Carmona et al "On the distribution and asymptotic results for exponential functionals of Levy processes". In the special case when $η$ is a Brownian motion with drift we show that this integral equation leads to an important functional e…
We consider a Lévy process $Y(t)$ that is not permanently observed, but rather inspected at Poisson($ω$) moments only, over an exponentially distributed time $T_β$ with parameter $β$. The focus lies on the analysis of the distribution of the running maximum at such inspection moments up to $T_β$, denoted by $Y_{β,ω}$. Our main result is a decomposition: we derive a remarkable distributional equality that contains $Y_{β,ω}$ as well as the running maximum process $\bar Y(t)$ at the exponentially distributed times $T_β$ and $T_{β+ω}$. Concretely, $\overline{Y}(T_β)$ can be written the sum of the …
Let $ξ=(ξ_t, t\ge 0)$ be a real-valued Lévy process and define its associated exponential functional as follows \[ I_t(ξ):=\int_0^t \exp\{-ξ_s\}{\rm d} s, \qquad t\ge 0. \] Motivated by important applications to stochastic processes in random environment, we study the asymptotic behaviour of \[ \mathbb{E}\Big[F\big(I_t(ξ)\big)\Big] \qquad \textrm{as}\qquad t\to \infty, \] where $F$ is a non-increasing function with polynomial decay at infinity and under some exponential moment conditions on $ξ$. In particular, we find five different regimes that depend on the shape of the Laplace exponent of $…
For a Lévy process $ξ=(ξ_t)_{t\geq0}$ drifting to $-\infty$, we define the so-called exponential functional as follows \[{\rm{I}}_ξ=\int_0^{\infty}e^{ξ_t} dt.\] Under mild conditions on $ξ$, we show that the following factorization of exponential functionals \[{\rm{I}}_ξ\stackrel{d}={\rm{I}}_{H^-} \times {\rm{I}}_{Y}\] holds, where, $\times $ stands for the product of independent random variables, $H^-$ is the descending ladder height process of $ξ$ and $Y$ is a spectrally positive Lévy process with a negative mean constructed from its ascending ladder height process. As a by-product, we gener…
We study the distribution and various properties of exponential functionals of hypergeometric Levy processes. We derive an explicit formula for the Mellin transform of the exponential functional and give both convergent and asymptotic series expansions of its probability density function. As applications we present a new proof of some of the results on the density of the supremum of a stable process, which were recently obtained by Kuznetsov "On extrema of stable processes" (2010) and Hubalek and Kuznetsov "A convergent series representation for the density of the supremum of a stable process"…
We first introduce and derive some basic properties of a two-parameters family of one-sided Levy processes. Their Laplace exponents are given in terms of the Pochhammer symbol. This family includes, in a limit case, the family of Brownian motion with drifts. Then, we proceed by computing the density of the law of the exponential functional associated to some elements of this family (and their dual) and some transformations of these elements. These densities are expressed in terms of the Wright hypergeometric functions. By means of probabilistic arguments, we derive some interesting properties …
One method to compute the price of an arithmetic Asian option in a Levy driven model is based on the exponential functional of the underlying Levy process: If we know the distribution of the exponential functional, we can calculate the price of the Asian option via the inverse Laplace transform. In this paper we consider pricing Asian options in a model driven by a general meromorphic Levy process. We prove that the exponential functional is equal in distribution to an infinite product of indepedent beta random variables, and its Mellin transform can be expressed as an infinite product of gamm…
The improper stochastic integral $Z=\int_0^{\infty-}\exp(-X_{s-})dY_s$ is studied, where $\{(X_t, Y_t), t \geqslant 0 \}$ is a Lévy process on $\mathbb R ^{1+d}$ with $\{X_t \}$ and $\{Y_t \}$ being $\mathbb R$-valued and $\mathbb R ^d$-valued, respectively. The condition for existence and finiteness of $Z$ is given and then the law $\mathcal L(Z)$ of $Z$ is considered. Some sufficient conditions for $\mathcal L(Z)$ to be selfdecomposable and some sufficient conditions for $\mathcal L(Z)$ to be non-selfdecomposable but semi-selfdecomposable are given. Attention is paid to the case where $d=1$,…
We derive a product formula for the multiple stochastic integrals with respect to Levy process. The idea is to use exponential vectors and the polarization technique which greatly simplify the argument.
Let $L$ be a multidimensional Lévy process under $P$ in its own filtration. The $f^q$-minimal martingale measure $Q_q$ is defined as that equivalent local martingale measure for $\mathcal {E}(L)$ which minimizes the $f^q$-divergence $E[(dQ/dP)^q]$ for fixed $q\in(-\infty,0)\cup(1,\infty)$. We give necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of $Q_q$ and an explicit formula for its density. For $q=2$, we relate the sufficient conditions to the structure condition and discuss when the former are also necessary. Moreover, we show that $Q_q$ converges for $q\searrow1$ in entropy to the m…
Given a spectrally negative Lévy process, we predict, in a $L_1$ sense, the last passage time of the process below zero before an independent exponential time. This optimal prediction problem generalises Baurdoux and Pedraza (2020) where the infinite horizon problem is solved. Using a similar argument as that in Urusov (2005), we show that this optimal prediction problem is equivalent to solving an optimal prediction problem in a finite horizon setting. Surprisingly (unlike the infinite horizon problem) an optimal stopping time is based on a curve that is killed at the moment the mean of the e…
In this paper, we study the speed of extinction of continuous state branching processes in subcritical Lévy environments. More precisely, when the associated Lévy process to the environment drifts to $-\infty$ and, under a suitable exponential martingale change of measure (Esscher transform), the environment either drifts to $-\infty$ or oscillates. We extend recent results of Palau et al. (2016) and Li and Xu (2018), where the branching term is associated to a spectrally positive stable Lévy process and complement the recent article of Bansaye et al. (2021) where the critical case was studied…
Path decomposition is performed to analyze the pre-supremum, post-supremum, post-infimum and the intermediate processes of a spectrally negative Levy process taken up to an independent exponential time T as motivated by the aim of finding the joint distribution of the maximum loss and maximum gain. In addition, the joint distribution of the supremum and the infimum before an exponential time is displayed. As an application of path decomposition, the distributions of supremum of the post-infimum process and the maximum loss of the post-supremum process are obtained.
The purpose of this note is to describe, in terms of a power series, the distribution function of the exponential functional, taken at some independent exponential time, of a spectrally negative Lévy process ξwith unbounded variation. We also derive a Geman-Yor type formula for Asian options prices in a financial market driven by e^ξ.

In this paper, we study almost periodic solutions for semilinear stochastic differential equations driven by Lévy noise with exponential dichotomy property. Under suitable conditions on the coefficients, we obtain the existence and uniqueness of bounded solutions. Furthermore, this unique bounded solution is almost periodic in distribution under slightly stronger conditions. We also give two examples to illustrate our results.
Positive self-similar Markov processes (pssMp) are positive Markov processes that satisfy the scaling property and it is known that they can be represented as the exponential of a time-changed Lévy process via Lamperti representation. In this work, we are interested in the following problem: what happens if we consider Markov processes in dimension $1$ or $2$ that satisfy self-similarity properties of a more general form than a scaling property ? Can they all be represented as a function of a time-changed Lévy process ? If not, how can Lamperti representation be generalized ? We show that, not…
We consider a queuing model with the workload evolving between consecutive i.i.d.\ exponential timers $\{e_q^{(i)}\}_{i=1,2,...}$ according to a spectrally positive Lévy process $Y_i(t)$ that is reflected at zero, and where the environment $i$ equals 0 or 1. When the exponential clock $e_q^{(i)}$ ends, the workload, as well as the Lévy input process, are modified; this modification may depend on the current value of the workload, the maximum and the minimum workload observed during the previous cycle, and the environment $i$ of the Lévy input process itself during the previous cycle. We analys…
We develop a new Monte Carlo variance reduction method to estimate the expectation of two commonly encountered path-dependent functionals: first-passage times and occupation times of sets. The method is based on a recursive approximation of the first-passage time probability and expected occupation time of sets of a Levy bridge process that relies in part on a randomisation of the time parameter. We establish this recursion for general Levy processes and derive its explicit form for mixed-exponential jump-diffusions, a dense subclass (in the sense of weak approximation) of Levy processes, whic…
We provide equivalence of numerous no-free-lunch type conditions for financial markets where the asset prices are modeled as exponential Levy processes, under possible convex constraints in the use of investment strategies. The general message is the following: if any kind of free lunch exists in these models it has to be of the most egregious type, generating an increasing ealth. Furthermore, we connect the previous to the existence of the numeraire portfolio, both for its particular expositional clarity in exponential Levy models and as a first step in obtaining analogues of the no-free-lunc…
For a given Lévy process $X=(X_t)_{t\in\mathbb{R}_+}$ and for fixed $s\in \mathbb{R}_{+}\cup\{\infty\}$ and $t\in\mathbb{R}_+$ we analyse the {\it future drawdown extremes} that are defined as follows: \begin{eqnarray*} \overline D^*_{t,s} = \sup_{0\leq u\leq t} \inf_{u\leq w < t+s}(X_w-X_u), \qquad\qquad \underline D^*_{t,s} = \inf_{0\leq u\leq t} \inf_{u\leq w < t+s}(X_w-X_u). \end{eqnarray*} The path-functionals $\overline D^*_{t,s}$ and $\underline D^*_{t,s}$ are of interest in various areas of application, including financial mathematics and queueing theory. In the case that $X$ has a str…
Several two-boundary problems are solved for a special Lévy process: the Poisson process with an exponential component. The jumps of this process are controlled by a homogeneous Poisson process, the positive jump size distribution is arbitrary, while the distribution of the negative jumps is exponential. Closed form expressions are obtained for the integral transforms of the joint distribution of the first exit time from an interval and the value of the overshoot through boundaries at the first exit time. Also the joint distribution of the first entry time into the interval and the value of th…
We consider expected utility maximisation problem for exponential Levy models and HARA utilities in presence of illiquid asset in portfolio. This illiquid asset is modelled by an option of European type on another risky asset which is correlated with the first one. Under some hypothesis on Levy processes, we give the expressions of information processes figured in maximum utility formula. As applications, we consider Black-Scholes models with correlated Brownian Motions, and also Black-Scholes models with jump part represented by Poisson process.
We present remarkably simple proofs of Burkholder-Davis-Gundy inequalities for stochastic integrals and maximal inequalities for stochastic convolutions in Banach spaces driven by Lévy-type processes. Exponential estimates for stochastic convolutions are obtained and two versions of Itô's formula in Banach spaces are also derived. Based on the obtained maximal inequality, the existence and uniqueness of mild solutions of stochastic quasi-geostrophic equation with Lévy noise is established.
Exponential functionals of Brownian motion have been extensively studied in financial and insurance mathematics due to their broad applications, for example, in the pricing of Asian options. The Black-Scholes model is appealing because of mathematical tractability, yet empirical evidence shows that geometric Brownian motion does not adequately capture features of market equity returns. One popular alternative for modeling equity returns consists in replacing the geometric Brownian motion by an exponential of a Levy process. In this paper we use this latter model to study variable annuity guara…
This paper considers stochastic population dynamics driven by Levy noise. The contributions of this paper lie in that (a) Using Khasminskii-Mao theorem, we show that the stochastic differential equation associated with the model has a unique global positive solution; (b) Applying an exponential martingale inequality with jumps, we discuss the asymptotic pathwise estimation of such model.
We consider a queuing model with the workload evolving between consecutive i.i.d. exponential timers $\{e_q^{(i)}\}_{i=1,2,...}$ according to a spectrally positive Lévy process $Y(t)$ which is reflected at 0. When the exponential clock $e_q^{(i)}$ ends, the additional state-dependent service requirement modifies the workload so that the latter is equal to $F_i(Y(e_q^{(i)}))$ at epoch $e^{(1)}_q+...+e^{(i)}_q$ for some random nonnegative i.i.d. functionals $F_i$. In particular, we focus on the case when $F_i(y)=(B_i-y)^+$, where $\{B_i\}_{i=1,2,...}$ are i.i.d. nonnegative random variables. We …
We study exponential Levy models with change-point which is a random variable, independent from initial Levy processes. On canonical space with initially enlarged filtration we describe all equivalent martingale measures for change-point model and we give the conditions for the existence of f-divergence minimal equivalent martingale measure. Using the connection between utility maximisation and $f$-divergence minimisation, we obtain a general formula for optimal strategy in change-point case for initially enlarged filtration and also for progressively enlarged filtration in the case of exponen…
Suppose Xt is either a regular exponential type Levy process or a Levy process with a bounded variation jumps measure. The distribution of the extrema of Xt play a crucial role in many financial and actuarial problems. This article employs the well known and powerful Riemann-Hilbert technique to derive the characteristic functions of the extrema for such Levy processes. An approximation technique along with several examples is given.

For a real càdlàg function $f$ defined on a compact interval, its truncated variation at the level $c>0$ is the infimum of total variations of functions uniformly approximating $f$ with accuracy $c/2$ and (in opposite to the total variation) is always finite. In this paper, we discuss exponential integrability and concentration properties of the truncated variation of fractional Brownian motions, diffusions and Lévy processes. We develop a special technique based on chaining approach and using it we prove Gaussian concentration of the truncated variation for certain class of diffusions. Furthe…
