We consider a classical Hamiltonian $H$ on $\mathbb{R}^{2d}$, invariant by a Lie group of symmetry $G$, whose Weyl quantization $\hat{H}$ is a selfadjoint operator on $L^2(\mathbb{R}^d)$. If $χ$ is an irreducible character of $G$, we investigate the spectrum of its restriction $\hat{H}\_χ$ to the symmetry subspace $L^2\_χ(\mathbb{R}^d)$ of $L^2(\mathbb{R}^d)$ coming from the decomposition of Peter-Weyl. We give semi-classical Weyl asymptotics for the eigenvalues counting function of $\hat{H}\_χ$ in an interval of $\mathbb{R}$, and interpret it geometrically in terms of dynamics in the reduced space $\mathbb{R}^{2d}/G$. Besides, oscillations of the spectral density of $\hat{H}\_χ$ are described by a Gutzwiller trace formula involving periodic orbits of the reduced space, corresponding to quasi-periodic orbits of $\mathbb{R}^{2d}$.
A Duistermaat-Guillemin-Gutzwiller trace formula for Dirac-type operators on a globally hyperbolic spatially compact stationary spacetime is achieved by generalising the recent construction by A. Strohmaier and S. Zelditch [Adv. Math. \textbf{376}, 107434 (2021)] to a vector bundle setting. We have analysed the spectrum of the Lie derivative with respect to a global timelike Killing vector field on the solution space of the Dirac equation and found that it consists of discrete real eigenvalues. The distributional trace of the time evolution operator has singularities at the periods of induced …

This paper studies the reduced dynamics of the three-vortex problem from the point of view of Lie-Poisson reduction on the dual of the Lie algebra of $ U(2) $. The algebraic study leading to this point of view has been given by Borisov and Lebedev 1998 (see also Bolsinov, Borisov and Mamaev 1999). The main contribution of this paper is to properly describe the dynamics as a Lie-Poisson reduced system on $ (\mathfrak{u}(2) ^\ast, \{\;,\,\}_{\text{LP}} ) $, giving a systematic construction of a one-parameter family of covectors $ \{ σ_1, σ_2, σ_3 \} $ closely related to Pauli spin matrices, and …
We use the quantum group approach for the investigation of correlation functions of integrable vertex models and spin chains. For the inhomogeneous reduced density matrix in case of an arbitrary simple Lie algebra we find functional equations of the form of the reduced quantum Knizhnik-Zamolodchikov equation. This equation is the starting point for the investigation of correlation functions at arbitrary temperature and notably for the ground state.
We present generalizations of the well-known trigonometric spin Sutherland models, which were derived by Hamiltonian reduction of `free motion' on cotangent bundles of compact simple Lie groups based on the conjugation action. Our models result by reducing the corresponding Heisenberg doubles with the aid of a Poisson-Lie analogue of the conjugation action. We describe the reduced symplectic structure and show that the `reduced main Hamiltonians' reproduce the spin Sutherland model by keeping only their leading terms. The solutions of the equations of motion emerge from geodesics on the compac…
Let $K$ be a simply connected compact Lie group and $T^{\ast}(K)$ its cotangent bundle. We consider the problem of "quantization commutes with reduction" for the adjoint action of $K$ on $T^{\ast}(K).$ We quantize both $T^{\ast}(K)$ and the reduced phase space using geometric quantization with half-forms. We then construct a geometrically natural map from the space of invariant elements in the quantization of $T^{\ast}(K)$ to the quantization of the reduced phase space. We show that this map is a constant multiple of a unitary map.
The Lie symmetry analysis for the study of a $1+n~$fourth-order Schrödinger equation inspired by the modification of the deformation algebra in the presence of a minimum length is applied. Specifically, we perform a detailed classification for the scalar field potential function where non-trivial Lie symmetries exist and simplify the Schrödinger equation. Then, a qualitative analysis allows for the reduced ordinary differential equation to be analyzed to understand the asymptotic dynamics.
The symmetry analysis of the Cheng Equation is performed. The Cheng Equation is reduced to a first-order equation of either Abel's Equations, the analytic solution of which is given in terms of special functions. Moreover, for a particular symmetry the system is reduced to the Riccati Equation or to the linear nonhomogeneous equation of Euler type. Henceforth, the general solution of the Cheng Equation with the use of the Lie theory is discussed, as also the application of Lie symmetries in a generalized Cheng equation.
A deformation of the classical trigonometric BC(n) Sutherland system is derived via Hamiltonian reduction of the Heisenberg double of SU(2n). We apply a natural Poisson-Lie analogue of the Kazhdan-Kostant-Sternberg type reduction of the free particle on SU(2n) that leads to the BC(n) Sutherland system. We prove that this yields a Liouville integrable Hamiltonian system and construct a globally valid model of the smooth reduced phase space wherein the commuting flows are complete. We point out that the reduced system, which contains 3 independent coupling constants besides the deformation param…
