We present a method to construct a basis of singular and non-singular common eigenvectors for Gaudin Hamiltonians in a tensor product module of the Lie algebra SL(2). The subset of singular vectors is completely described by analogy with covariant differential operators. The relation between singular eigenvectors and the Bethe Ansatz is discussed. In each weight subspace the set of singular eigenvectors is completed to a basis, by a family of non-singular eigenvectors. We discuss also the generalization of this method to the case of an arbitrary Lie algebra.
We propose new formulas for eigenvectors of the Gaudin model in the $\sl(3)$ case. The central point of the construction is the explicit form of some operator P, which is used for derivation of eigenvalues given by the formula $| w_1, w_2) = \sum_{n=0}^\infty P^n/n! | w_1, w_2,0>$, where $w_1$, $w_2$ fulfil the standard well-know Bethe Ansatz equations.
We consider a Gaudin model related to the q-deformed superalgebra ${\CU}_q(\mathfrak{osp}(1 | 2))$. We present an exact solution to that system diagonalizing a complete set of commuting observables, and providing the corresponding eigenvectors and eigenvalues. The approach used in this paper is based on the coalgebra supersymmetry of the model.
Eigenvectors of the reduced Bardeen-Cooper-Schrieffer Hamiltonian have recently been employed as a variational wavefunction ansatz in quantum chemistry. This wavefunction is a mean-field of pairs of electrons (geminals). In this contribution we report optimal expressions for their reduced density matrices in both the original physical basis and the basis of the Richardson-Gaudin pairs. Physical basis expressions were originally reported by Gorohovsky and Bettelheim. In each case, the expressions scale like $\mathcal{O}(N^4)$, with the most expensive step the solution of linear equations. Analy…
Consider a tensor product of finite-dimensional irreducible gl_{N+1}-modules and its decomposition into irreducible modules. The gl_{N+1} Gaudin model assigns to each multiplicity space of that decomposition a commutative (Bethe) algebra of linear operators acting on the multiplicity space. The Bethe ansatz method is a method to find eigenvectors and eigenvalues of the Bethe algebra. One starts with a critical point of a suitable (master) function and constructs an eigenvector of the Bethe algebra. In this paper we consider the algebra of functions on the critical set of the associated master …
We study the Gaudin models associated with $\mathfrak{gl}(1|1)$. We give an explicit description of the algebra of Hamiltonians (Gaudin Hamiltonians) acting on tensor products of polynomial evaluation $\mathfrak{gl}(1|1)[t]$-modules. It follows that there exists a bijection between common eigenvectors (up to proportionality) of the algebra of Hamiltonians and monic divisors of an explicit polynomial written in terms of the highest weights and evaluation parameters. In particular, our result implies that each common eigenspace of the algebra of Hamiltonians has dimension one. Therefore, we conf…
The note deals with the Gaudin model associated with the tensor product of n irreducible finite-dimensional sl_{N+1}-modules marked by distinct complex numbers z_1,..., z_n. The Bethe Ansatz is a method to construct common eigenvectors of the Gaudin hamiltonians by means of chosen singular vectors in the factors and z_j's. These vectors are called Bethe vectors. The question if the Bethe vectors are non-zero vectors is open. By the moment, the only way to verify that was based on a relation to critical points of the master function of the Gaudin model, and non-triviality of a Bethe vector was …
We propose an extension of the numerical approach for integrable Richardson-Gaudin models based on a new set of eigenvalue-based variables. Starting solely from the Gaudin algebra, the approach is generalized towards the full class of XXZ Richardson-Gaudin models. This allows for a fast and robust numerical determination of the spectral properties of these models, avoiding the singularities usually arising at the so-called singular points. We also provide different determinant expressions for the normalization of the Bethe Ansatz states and form factors of local spin operators, opening up poss…
We discuss the Bethe ansatz in the Gaudin model on the tensor product of finite-dimensional $sl_2$-modules over the field $F_p$ with $p$ elements, where $p$ is a prime number. We define the Bethe ansatz equations and show that if $(t^0_1,\dots,t^0_k)$ is a solution of the Bethe ansatz equations, then the corresponding Bethe vector is an eigenvector of the Gaudin Hamiltonians. We characterize solutions $(t^0_1,\dots,t^0_k)$ of the Bethe ansatz equations as certain two-dimensional subspaces of the space of polynomials $F_p[x]$. We consider the case when the number of parameters $k$ equals 1. In …
We present a detailed analysis of the classical Dicke-Jaynes-Cummings-Gaudin integrable model, which describes a system of $n$ spins coupled to a single harmonic oscillator. We focus on the singularities of the vector-valued moment map whose components are the $n+1$ mutually commuting conserved Hamiltonians. The level sets of the moment map corresponding to singular values may be viewed as degenerate and often singular Arnold-Liouville torii. A particularly interesting example of singularity corresponds to unstable equilibrium points where the rank of the moment map is zero, or singular lines …
We present a systematic procedure to extract the perturbative series for the ground state energy density in the Lieb-Liniger and Gaudin-Yang models, starting from the Bethe ansatz solution. This makes it possible to calculate explicitly the coefficients of these series and to study their large order behavior. We find that both series diverge factorially and are not Borel summable. In the case of the Gaudin-Yang model, the first Borel singularity is determined by the non-perturbative energy gap. This provides a new perspective on the Cooper instability.
The Bethe equations for the periodic XXX and XXZ spin chains admit singular solutions, for which the corresponding eigenvalues and eigenvectors are ill-defined. We use a twist regularization to derive conditions for such singular solutions to be physical, in which case they correspond to genuine eigenvalues and eigenvectors of the Hamiltonian.

Products and coproducts may be recognized as morphisms in a monoidal tensor category of vector spaces. To gain invariant data of these morphisms, we can use singular value decomposition which attaches singular values, ie generalized eigenvalues, to these maps. We show, for the case of Grassmann and Clifford products, that twist maps significantly alter these data reducing degeneracies. Since non group like coproducts give rise to non classical behavior of the algebra of functions, ie make them noncommutative, we hope to be able to learn more about such geometries. Remarkably the coproduct for …
We present a new formulation of the hyperbolic singular value decomposition (HSVD) for an arbitrary complex (or real) matrix without hyperexchange matrices and redundant invariant parameters. In our formulation, we use only the concept of pseudo-unitary (or pseudo-orthogonal) matrices. We show that computing the HSVD in the general case is reduced to calculation of eigenvalues, eigenvectors, and generalized eigenvectors of some auxiliary matrices. The new formulation is more natural and useful for some applications. It naturally includes the ordinary singular value decomposition.
A family of polynomial τ-functions for the NLS-Toda hierarchy is constructed. The hierarchy is associated with the homogeneous vertex operator representation of the affine algebra \g of type A_1^{(1)}. These τ-functions are given explicitly in terms of Schur functions that correspond to rectangular Young diagrams. It is shown that an arbitrary polynomial τ-function which is an eigenvector of d, the degree operator of \g, is contained in the family. By the construction, any τ-function in the family becomes a Virasoro singular vector. This consideration gives rise to a simple proof of known resu…
For each simple Lie algebra g consider the corresponding affine vertex algebra V_{crit}(g) at the critical level. The center of this vertex algebra is a commutative associative algebra whose structure was described by a remarkable theorem of Feigin and Frenkel about two decades ago. However, only recently simple formulas for the generators of the center were found for the Lie algebras of type A following Talalaev's discovery of explicit higher Gaudin Hamiltonians. We give explicit formulas for generators of the centers of the affine vertex algebras V_{crit}(g) associated with the simple Lie al…
