This study presents a systematic investigation of quasinormal modes (QNMs) for probe fields-massless/massive scalar and Dirac fields-around a charged loop quantum gravity black hole (LQG-BH) characterized by the quantum parameter $b_0$ and the charge parameter $Q$. Through spectral analysis of quasinormal frequencies (QNFs), we uncover a distinct overtone outburst driven by quantum gravity effects, prominently manifested in the scalar field spectrum with the multipole quantum number $l=0$. Both the outburst and its accompanying oscillatory patterns grow more pronounced with increasing overtone numbers. In contrast, massless scalar fields with $l>1$ and Dirac fields exhibit delayed outburst development, with non-monotonic behavior dominating the first two overtones. Notably, increasing the charge $Q$ universally suppresses quantum-gravity-induced features, including outbursts, non-monotonicity, and oscillations. Furthermore, we present evidence suggesting the presence of quasi-resonances in the massive scalar QNM spectrum, thereby illustrating the potential for the emergence of arbitrarily long-lived modes in this charged LQG spacetime. These findings establish a robust and universal interplay between quantum gravity effects and charge dynamics, providing new insights into the spectral properties of quantum-corrected BHs.
In this paper, we investigate the photon sphere, shadow radius and quasinormal modes of a charged black hole in presence of quintessence. The result shows that the shadow radius decreases with the increase of the electric charge. The quasinormal modes are derived by the sixth WKB approximation method and shadow radius, respectively. For the fixed electric charge and multipole number, the values of the real and imaginary parts of the quasinormal modes decrease with the increase of the quintessence charge. When the value of the multipole number is large, the quasinormal modes derived by the two …
We study the propagation of charged scalar fields in the background of $2+1$-dimensional Coulomb-like AdS black holes, and we show that such propagation is unstable under Dirichlet boundary conditions. However, all the unstable modes are superradiant and all the stable modes are non-superradiant, according with the superradiant condition. Mainly, we show that when the scalar field is charged the quasinormal frecuencies (QNFs) are always complex, contrary to the uncharged case, where for small values of the black hole charge the complex QNFs are dominant, while that for bigger values of the bla…
In this contribution, we study the quasinormal modes of a Generic--class of a regular black hole with a magnetic charge in nonlinear electrodynamics, considering scalar and electromagnetic perturbations. The Generic--class contains the Bardeen--class, Hayward--class, and New--class solutions. As the Generic--class can represent a black hole with two horizons or one horizon. First, we obtain the critical values of the magnetic charge and mass. Then, using the third--order WKB approximation, we can determine the dependence of the quasinormal modes with the parameters of the Generic--class. Final…
The quasinormal modes (QNMs) of a regular black hole with charge are calculated in the eikonal approximation. In the eikonal limit the QNMs of black hole are determined by the parameters of the unstable circular null geodesics. The behaviors of QNMs are compared with QNMs of Reisner-Nordström black hole, it is done by fixing some of the parameters that characterize the black holes and varying another. We observed that the parameter that is related one effective cosmological constant at small distances , determines the behaviors of the QNMs of regular black hole with charge.
The anomalous decay rate of the quasinormal modes occurs when the longest-lived modes are the ones with higher angular number. Such behaviour has been recently studied in different static spacetimes, for uncharged scalar and fermionic perturbations, being observed in both cases. In this work we consider the propagation of charged massive scalar fields in the background of Reissner-Nordström-de Sitter black holes and we mainly study the effect of the scalar field charge in the spectrum of quasinormal frequencies, as well as, its effect on the anomalous decay rate. Mainly, we show that the anoma…
We study quasinormal modes related to gravitational and electromagnetic perturbations of spherically symmetric charged black holes in nonlinear electrodynamics. Beyond the linear Maxwell electrodynamics, we consider a class of Lagrangian with higher-order corrections written by the electromagnetic field strength and its Hodge dual with arbitrary coefficients, and we parametrize the corrections for quasinormal frequencies in terms of the coefficients. It is confirmed that the isospectrality of quasinormal modes under parity is generally violated due to nonlinear electrodynamics. As applications…
We study the quasinormal frequencies of three effective geometries of nonrotating regular black holes derived from loop quantum gravity. Concretely, we consider the Ashtekar-Olmedo-Singh and two Gambini-Olmedo-Pullin prescriptions. We compute the quasinormal frequencies of axial and polar perturbations adopting a WKB method. We show that they differ from those of classical general relativity and, more importantly, that isospectrality is broken. Nevertheless, these deviations are tiny, even for microscopic black holes, and they decay following an inverse power law of the size of the mass of the…
We obtain the black hole solution for the Ayón - Beato - García (ABG) type black hole surrounded by a cloud of strings in Rastall gravity and calculate the scalar quasinormal modes of it for a massless scalar field. To have a better visualization of the results, we also introduce a new non-linear electrodynamic source and obtain a black hole solution surrounded by a cloud of strings in the Rastall gravity. We see that the quasinormal modes are affected by the type of non-linear electrodynamic sources in case of higher magnitudes of charge $q$. With increase in the magnitude of charge $q$, grav…
We compute the quasinormal frequencies for scalar perturbations of charged black holes in five-dimensional Einstein-power-Maxwell theory. The impact on the spectrum of the electric charge of the black holes, of the angular degree, of the overtone number, and of the mass of the test scalar field is investigated in detail. The quasinormal spectra in the eikonal limit are computed as well for several different space-time dimensionalities.
It was recently shown that the extremal charged black holes in STU supergravity suffer from superradiant instability owing to the existence of the unstable (low-frequency) quasibound states associated with a charged massive scalar field. In this paper, we show numerically that for some charge configurations, these black holes can also excite the (higher-frequency) superradiantly unstable quasinormal modes. We find empirically that the unstable modes are closely related to having a volcano-shaped effective potential in the Schrödinger-like wave equation.

In this paper, we investigate the shadow radius and quasinormal modes of a four-dimensional magnetically charged Einstein-Gauss-Bonnet Bardeen black hole and point out a simple connection between them in the eikonal limit. By studying a massless scalar field perturbation in this spacetime background and using the sixth-order Wentzel-Kramers-Brillouin(WKB) approximation, we get the quasinormal modes(QNMs) and perform a detailed analysis. It shows that the quasinormal modes are depend on the Gauss-Bonnet coupling constant and the magnetic charge. We also give a formula of the QNMs and shadow rad…
We study charged massless fermionic perturbations in the background of $4$-dimensional linear dilaton black holes in Einstein-Maxwell-dilaton theory with double Liouville-type potentials. We present the analytical fermionic quasinormal modes, whose Dirac equations are solved in terms of hypergeometric functions. We also discuss the stability of these black holes under the charged fermionic perturbations.
