In the literature there are two definitions of well formed varieties in weighted projective spaces. According to the first one, well formed variety is the one whose intersection with the singular locus of the ambient weighted projective space has codimension at least two, while, according to the second one, well formed variety is the one who does not contain in codimension one a singular stratum of the ambient weighted projective space. We show that these two definitions indeed differ, and show that they coincide for quasi-smooth weighted complete intersections of dimension at least 3.
Firstly we show a generalization of the (1,1)-Lefschetz theorem for projective toric orbifolds and secondly we prove that on 2k-dimensional quasi-smooth hypersurfaces coming from quasi-smooth intersection surfaces, under the Cayley trick, every rational (k,k)-cohomology class is algebraic, i.e., the Hodge conjecture holds on them.
In this article, we consider the projective bundle $\mathbb{P}_X(E)$ over a smooth complex projective variety $X$, where $E$ is a semistable bundle on $X$ with $c_2(End(E)) =0$. We give a necessary and sufficient condition to get the equality $ Nef^1\bigl(\mathbb{P}_X(E)\bigr) = \overline{Eff}^1\bigl(\mathbb{P}_X(E)\bigr)$ of nef cone and pseudoeffective cone of divisors in $\mathbb{P}_X(E)$. As an application of our result, we show the equality of nef and pseudoeffective cones of divisors of projective bundles over some special varieties. In particular, we show that weak Zariski decomposition…
A point $p\in\mathbb{P}^N$ of a projective space is $h$-identifiable, with respect to a variety $X\subset\mathbb{P}^N$, if it can be written as linear combination of $h$ elements of $X$ in a unique way. Identifiability is implied by conditions on the contact locus in $X$ of general linear spaces called non weak defectiveness and non tangential weak defectiveness. We give conditions ensuring non tangential weak defectiveness of an irreducible and non-degenerated projective variety $X\subset\mathbb{P}^N$, and we apply these results to Segre-Veronese varieties.
In a previous paper, the first two named authors established an isomorphism between the moduli space of framed flags of sheaves on the projective plane and the moduli space of stable representations of a certain quiver. In the present note, we substitute one of the claims made, namely [5, Theorem 17], for a weaker claim regarding the existence of unobstructed points in the quiver moduli space. We also extend some of the results of the cited paper, concerning the maximal stability chamber within which the isomorphism mentioned holds, and the existence of a perfect obstruction theory for the qui…
The goal of this article is to provide an explicit algorithmic construction of formal $F$-manifold structures, formal Frobenius manifold structures, and higher residue pairings on the primitive middle-dimensional cohomology $\mathbb{H}$ of a smooth projective Calabi-Yau complete intersection variety $X$ defined by homogeneous polynomials $G_1(\underline x), \dots, G_k(\underline x)$. Our main method is to analyze a certain dGBV (differential Gerstenhaber-Batalin-Vilkovisky) algebra $\mathcal{A}$ obtained from the twisted de Rham complex which computes $\mathbb{H}$. More explicitly, we introduc…
