In the context of the $AdS_{4}/CFT_{3}$ correspondence between higher spin fields and vector theories, we use the constructive bilocal fields based approach to this correspondence, to demonstrate, at the $IR$ critical point of the interacting vector theory and directly in the bulk, the removal of the $Δ=1$ ($s=0$) state from the higher spins field spectrum, and to exhibit simple Klein-Gordon higher spin Hamiltonians. The bulk variables and higher spin fields are obtained in a simple manner from boundary bilocals, by the change of variables previously derived for the $UV$ critical point (in momentum space), together with a field redefinition.
We construct a class of nonabelian superconformal (1,0) hypermultiplet theories in six dimensions by introducing an abelian auxiliary field. The gauge fields of this class of theories are non-dynamical, and this class of theories can be viewed as Chern-Simons-matter theories in 6D.
We construct classical theories for scalar fields in arbitrary Carroll spacetimes that are invariant under Carrollian diffeomorphisms and Weyl transformations. When the local symmetries are gauge fixed these theories become Carrollian conformal field theories. We show that generically there are at least two types of such theories: one in which only time derivatives of the fields appear and the other in which both space and time derivatives appear. A classification of such scalar field theories in three (and higher) dimensions up to two derivative order is provided. We show that only a special …
We perform a detailed analysis of black hole solutions in supergravity models. After a general introduction on black holes in general relativity and supersymmetric theories, we provide a detailed description of ungauged extended supergravities and their dualities. Therefore, we analyze the general form of black hole configurations for these models, their near-horizon behavior and characteristic of the solution. An explicit construction of a black hole solution with its physical implications is given for the STU-model. The second part of this review is dedicated to gauged supergravity theories.…
We consider the construction of operator bases for massless, relativistic quantum field theories, and show this is equivalent to obtaining the harmonic modes of a physical manifold (the kinematic Grassmannian), upon which observables have support. This enables us to recast the approach of effective field theory (EFT) through the lens of harmonic analysis. We explicitly construct harmonics corresponding to low mass dimension EFT operators.
We study, using the example of general covariance, to what extent a would-be non-abelian extension of free field abelian gauge theory can be helped by a field redefinition; answer - not much! However, models resulting from dimensional reduction also include non-gauge fields to be integrated out, thereby offering a wider choice of redefinitions whose effects may indeed prove useful.
We present a no-go result on consistent Noether interactions among higher-spin gauge fields on anti-de Sitter space-times. We show that there is a non-local obstruction at the classical level to consistent interacting field theory descriptions of massless higher-spin particles that are described in the free limit by the free Fronsdal action, under the assumption that such theories arise from the gauging of a global higher-spin symmetry. Our result suggests that the Fronsdal programme for introducing interactions among higher-spin gauge fields cannot be completed without introducing new guiding…
Holographic relationships between entanglement entropy on the boundary of a spacetime and the area of minimal surfaces in the bulk provide an important entry in the bulk/boundary dictionary. While constructing the necessary causal and entanglement wedges is well understood in asymptotically AdS spacetimes, less is known about the equivalent constructions in spacetimes with different asymptotics. In particular, recent attempts to construct entanglement and causal wedges for asymptotically Lifshitz solutions in relativistic gravitational theories have proven problematic. We note a simple observa…
We discuss some basic aspects of effective field theory applied to supergravity theories which arise in the low-energy limit of string theory. Our discussion is particularly relevant to the effective field theories of no-scale supergravities that break supersymmetry, including those that appear in constructing de Sitter solutions of string theory.

We exhibit a new method of constructing non-Lorentzian models by applying a method we refer to as starting from a so-called seed Lagrangian. This method typically produces additional constraints in the system that can drastically alter the physical content of the model. We demonstrate our method for particles, scalars and vector fields.
