Dynamical realizations of the Lifshitz group are studied within the group-theoretic framework. A generalization of the 1d conformal mechanics is constructed, which involves an arbitrary dynamical exponent z. A similar generalization of the Ermakov-Milne-Pinney equation is proposed. Invariant derivative and field combinations are introduced, which enable one to construct a plethora of dynamical systems enjoying the Lifshitz symmetry. A metric of the Lorentzian signature in (d+2)-dimensional spacetime and the energy-momentum tensor are constructed, which lead to the generalized Ermakov-Milne-Pinney equation upon imposing the Einstein equations. The method of nonlinear realizations is used for building Lorentzian metrics with the Lifshitz isometry group. In particular, a (2d+2)-dimensional metric is constructed, which enjoys an extra invariance under the Galilei boosts.
We discuss a new covariant scalar-tensor system aimed to realise Hořava proposal for a power-counting renormalizable theory of gravity, with the special feature of not propagating scalar degrees of freedom in an appropriate gauge. The theory is characterized by a new symmetry acting on the metric, that can protect the particular form of its interactions. The set-up spontaneously breaks Lorentz symmetry by means of a time-like scalar field profile. By selecting a unitary gauge for the scalar, we show that this theory describes the dynamics of a spin two degree of freedom, whose equations of mot…
We study the dynamical evolution of a massless scalar perturbation in the Hořava-Lifshitz black-hole spacetimes with the coupling constants $λ={1/3}$, $λ={1/2}$ and $λ=3$, respectively. Our calculation shows that, for the three cases, the scalar perturbations decay without any oscillation in which the decay rate imprints the parameter of the Hořava-Lifshitz black hole. The results are quite different from those in the Schwarzschild AdS black hole and can help us understand more about the Hořava-Lifshitz gravity.
We derive the projectable version of Horava - Lifshitz gravity from the localisation of the Galilean symmetry. Specifically we provide a dynamical construction of the metric, from first principles, that reproduces the transformations of the physical variables - lapse, shift and spatial component of the metric. Also, the measure defining the action is reproduced. The geometrical basis of the Horava-Lifshitz gravity is thereby revealed which also elucidates its difference from the Newton-Cartan geometry - the spacetime of Newtonian gravity. The connection of Newton's gravity with Horava-Lifshitz…
We consider time-dependent Lifshitz-type solutions in type IIB supergravity. The solutions describe a time evolution from Lifshitz spacetimes to AdS spaces. We argue the holographic relation of them to aging phenomena in condensed matter physics. The solutions have no time-translation invariance and possess the dynamical scaling symmetry with z_c=2. In addition, the time evolution corresponds to slow (nonexponential) dynamics from nonequilibrium states to the equilibrium. We also discuss a mechanism of quantum quench to generate nonequilibrium states.
We investigate the linear cosmological perturbations of Hořava-Lifshitz gravity in a FRW universe without any matter. Our results show that a new gauge invariant dynamical scalar mode emerges, due to the gauge transformation under the "foliation-preserving" diffeomorphism and "projectability condition", and it can produce a scale invariant power spectrum. In the infrared regime with $λ=1$, the dynamical scalar degree of freedom turns to be a non-dynamical one at the linear order level.
We extend the discrete Regge action of causal dynamical triangulations to include discrete versions of the curvature squared terms appearing in the continuum action of (2+1)-dimensional projectable Horava-Lifshitz gravity. Focusing on an ensemble of spacetimes whose spacelike hypersurfaces are 2-spheres, we employ Markov chain Monte Carlo simulations to study the path integral defined by this extended discrete action. We demonstrate the existence of known and novel macroscopic phases of spacetime geometry, and we present preliminary evidence for the consistency of these phases with solutions t…
We extend our earlier study of special double limits of `boosted' $AdS_5$ black hole solutions to include all black D$p$-branes of type II strings. We find that Lifshitz solutions can be obtained in generality, with varied dynamical exponents, by employing these limits. We then study such double limits for `boosted' D$p$-brane bubble solutions and find that the resulting non-relativistic solutions instead describe Schrödinger like spacetimes, having varied dynamical exponents. We get a simple map between these Lifshitz & Schrödinger solutions and a relationship between two types of dynamical e…
Recently it has been established that torsional Newton-Cartan (TNC) geometry is the appropriate geometrical framework to which non-relativistic field theories couple. We show that when these geometries are made dynamical they give rise to Horava-Lifshitz (HL) gravity. Projectable HL gravity corresponds to dynamical Newton-Cartan (NC) geometry without torsion and non-projectable HL gravity corresponds to dynamical NC geometry with twistless torsion (hypersurface orthogonal foliation). We build a precise dictionary relating all fields (including the scalar khronon), their transformations and oth…
We consider the four-fermion Lifshitz model, introduce in this model an auxiliary vector field, and generate an effective dynamics for this field. We explicitly demonstrate that within this dynamics, the effective bumblebee potential for the vector field naturally arises as a one-loop correction and allows for the dynamical breaking of the rotational symmetry.
Static asymptotically Lifshitz wormholes and black holes in vacuum are shown to exist for a class of Lovelock theories in d=2n+1>7 dimensions, selected by requiring that all but one of their n maximally symmetric vacua are AdS of radius l and degenerate. The wormhole geometry is regular everywhere and connects two Lifshitz spacetimes with a nontrivial geometry at the boundary. The dynamical exponent z is determined by the quotient of the curvature radii of the maximally symmetric vacua according to n(z^2-1)+1=(l/L)^2, where L corresponds to the curvature radius of the nondegenerate vacuum. Lig…
We introduce a new approach to understand magnetization dynamics in ferromagnets based on the holographic realization of ferromagnets. A Landau-Lifshitz equation describing the magnetization dynamics is derived from a Yang-Mills equation in the dual gravitational theory, and temperature dependences of the spin-wave stiffness and spin transfer torque appearing in the holographic Landau-Lifshitz equation are investigated by the holographic approach. The results are consistent with the known properties of magnetization dynamics in ferromagnets with conduction electrons.
In this paper, we develop studies of the dynamical symmetry breaking in the Horava-Lifshitz four-fermion model for the specific case $z=3$ and explicitly demonstrate that for various space-time dimensions, one could arrive at the theory displaying both dynamical generation of the Lorentz symmetry for the kinetic term and arising the positively defined potential at the same time. At the same time, for $D=3$, the Lorentz invariant Chern-Simons term is generated.
A Lifshitz black brane at generic dynamical critical exponent $z > 1$, with non-zero linear momentum along the boundary, provides a holographic dual description of a non-equilibrium steady state in a quantum critical fluid, with Lifshitz scale invariance but without boost symmetry. We consider moving Lifshitz branes in Einstein-Maxwell-Dilaton gravity and obtain the non-relativistic stress tensor complex of the dual field theory via a suitable holographic renormalisation procedure. The resulting black brane hydrodynamics and thermodynamics are a concrete holographic realization of a Lifshitz p…
Charged Lifshitz black holes for the Einstein-Proca-Maxwell system with a negative cosmological constant in arbitrary dimension $D$ are known only if the dynamical critical exponent is fixed as $z=2(D-2)$. In the present work, we show that these configurations can be extended to much more general charged black holes which in addition exist for any value of the dynamical exponent $z>1$ by considering a nonlinear electrodynamics instead of the Maxwell theory. More precisely, we introduce a two-parametric nonlinear electrodynamics defined in the more general, but less known, so-called $(\mathcal{…
We investigate the properties of holographic fermions in charged Lifshitz black holes at finite temperature through the AdS/CFT correspondence. In the charged Lifshitz background with the dynamical exponent $z=2$, we find that the dispersion relation is linear. The scaling behavior of the imaginal part of the Green function relative to $k_{\perp}=k-k_F$ is also discussed. We find, although the system has linear dispersion relation and quadratic quasi-particle width, it does not satisfy Luttinger's theorem. We also find that the variation of the scaling parameters $α$ and $β$ is small as the ch…
We study the Lifshitz black hole in 4-dimensions with dynamical exponent z=2 and we calculate analytically the quasinormal modes of scalar perturbations. These quasinormal modes allows to study the stability of the Lifshitz black hole and we have obtained that Lifshitz black hole is stable.
Causal Dynamical Triangulations (CDT) is a non-perturbative quantisation of general relativity. Hořava-Lifshitz gravity on the other hand modifies general relativity to allow for perturbative quan- tisation. Past work has given rise to the speculation that Hořava-Lifshitz gravity might correspond to the continuum limit of CDT. In this paper we add another piece to this puzzle by applying the CDT quantisation prescription directly to Hořava-Lifshitz gravity in 2 dimensions. We derive the continuum Hamiltonian and we show that it matches exactly the Hamiltonian one derives from canonically quant…
We analytically describe the properties of the s-wave holographic superconductor with the Exponential nonlinear electrodynamics in the Lifshitz black hole background in four-dimensions. Employing an assumption the scalar and gauge fields backreact on the background geometry, we calculate the critical temperature as well as the condensation operator. Based on Sturm-Liouville method, we show that the critical temperature decreases with increasing exponential nonlinear electrodynamics and Lifshitz dynamical exponent, z, indicating that condensation becomes difficult. Also we find that the effects…
We investigate analytically the properties of the Weyl holographic superconductor in the Lifshitz black hole background. We find that the critical temperature of the Weyl superconductor decreases with increasing Lifshitz dynamical exponent, $z$, indicating that condensation becomes difficult. In addition, it is found that the critical temperature and condensation operator could be affected by applying the Weyl coupling, $γ$. Moreover, we compute the critical magnetic field and investigate its dependence on the parameters $γ$ and $z$. Finally, we show numerically that the Weyl coupling paramete…
We study the Infra Red (IR) limit of dispersion relations for scalar and fermion fields in a Lifshitz-type Yukawa model, after dressing by quantum fluctuations. Relativistic-like dispersion relations emerge dynamically in the IR regime of the model, after quantum corrections are taken into account. In this regime, dynamical mass generation also takes place, but in such a way that the particle excitations remain massive, even if the bare masses vanish. The group velocities of the corresponding massive particles of course are smaller than the speed of light, in a way consistent with the IR regim…
In Horava-Lifshitz gravity, regularity of a solution requires smoothness of not only the spacetime geometry but also the foliation. As a result, the regularity condition at the center of a star is more restrictive than in general relativity. Assuming that the energy density is a piecewise-continuous, non-negative function of the pressure and that the pressure at the center is positive, we prove that the momentum conservation law is incompatible with the regularity at the center for any spherically-symmetric, static configurations. The proof is totally insensitive to the structure of higher spa…
We use the holographic duality to study quantum quenches of a strongly coupled CFT that drive the theory towards a non-relativistic fixed point with Lifshitz scaling. We consider the case of a Lifshitz dynamical exponent $z$ close to unity, where the non-relativistic field theory can be understood as a specific deformation of the corresponding CFT and, hence, the standard holographic dictionary can be applied. On the gravity side this amounts to finding a dynamical bulk solution which interpolates between AdS and Lishitz spacetimes as time evolves. We show that an asymptotically Lifshitz black…
Field theories with anisotropic scaling in 1+1 dimensions are considered. It is shown that the isomorphism between Lifshitz algebras with dynamical exponents z and 1/z naturally leads to a duality between low and high temperature regimes. Assuming the existence of gap in the spectrum, this duality allows to obtain a precise formula for the asymptotic growth of the number of states with a fixed energy which depends on z and the energy of the ground state, and reduces to the Cardy formula for z=1. The holographic realization of the duality can be naturally inferred from the fact that Euclidean L…
We analyse scale anomalies in Lifshitz field theories, formulated as the relative cohomology of the scaling operator with respect to foliation preserving diffeomorphisms. We construct a detailed framework that enables us to calculate the anomalies for any number of spatial dimensions, and for any value of the dynamical exponent. We derive selection rules, and establish the anomaly structure in diverse universal sectors. We present the complete cohomologies for various examples in one, two and three space dimensions for several values of the dynamical exponent. Our calculations indicate that al…
We prove that the z=1 and z=3 Lifshitz black hole solutions of New Massive Gravity in three dimensions are the only static axisymmetric solutions that can be cast in a Kerr-Schild form with a seed metric given by the Lifshitz spacetime. Correspondingly, we study the issue of uniqueness of Lifshitz solitons when considering an ansatz involving a single metric function. We show this problem can be mapped to the previous one and that the z=1 and z=1/3 Lifshitz soliton solutions are the only ones within this class. Finally, our approach suggests for the first time an explanation as to what is spec…
We discuss and compute entanglement entropy (EE) in (1+1)-dimensional free Lifshitz scalar field theories with arbitrary dynamical exponents. We consider both the subinterval and periodic sublattices in the discretized theory as subsystems. In both cases, we are able to analytically demonstrate that the EE grows linearly as a function of the dynamical exponent. Furthermore, for the subinterval case, we determine that as the dynamical exponent increases, there is a crossover from an area law to a volume law. Lastly, we deform Lifshitz field theories with certain relevant operators and show that…
We study black holes in the Hořava-Lifshitz gravity with a parameter $λ$. For $1/3 \le λ< 3$, the black holes behave the Lifshitz black holes with dynamical exponent $0 < z \le 4$, while for $λ> 3$, the black holes behave the Reissner-Nordström type black hole in asymptotically flat spacetimes. Hence, these all are quite different from the Schwarzschild-AdS black hole of Einstein gravity. The temperature, mass, entropy, and heat capacity are derived for investigating thermodynamic properties of these black holes.
We investigate the effects of Lifshitz dynamical critical exponent z on a family of minimal D=4+1 holographic superconducting models, with a particular focus on magnetic phenomena. We see that it is possible to have a consistent Ginzburg-Landau approach to holographic superconductivity in a Lifshitz background. By following this phenomenological approach we are able to compute a wide array of physical quantities. We also calculate the Ginzburg-Landau parameter for different condensates, and conclude that in systems with higher dynamical critical exponent, vortex formation is more strongly unfa…
We study Einstein-Maxwell-dilaton theories with a cosmological constant and U(1)^N gauge symmetry, considering metrics asymptotically approaching the Lifshiftz metric. We study the dependence of the phase diagram on the value of the dynamical exponent. Along the way, we apply holographic renormalization and propose a counterterm valid for arbitrary dimension and dynamical exponent in our setup.
We study the Lifshitz type extension of the standard model (SM) at UV, with dynamical critical exponent z=3. One loop radiative corrections to the Higgs mass in such a model is calculated. Our result shows that, the Hierarchy problem, which has initiated many excellent extension of the minimal SM, can be weakened in the z=3 Lifshitz type quantum field theory.
We consider holography for Lifshitz spacetimes with dynamical exponent z=1+epsilon^2, where epsilon is small. We show that the holographically dual field theory is a specific deformation of the relativistic CFT, corresponding to the z=1 theory. Treating epsilon as a small expansion parameter we set up the holographic dictionary for Einstein-Proca models up to order epsilon^2 in three and four bulk dimensions. We explain how renormalization turns the relativistic conformal invariance into non-relativistic Lifshitz invariance with dynamical exponent z=1+epsilon^2. We compute the two-point functi…
We construct analytically an asymptotically Lifshitz black brane with dynamical exponent z=1+epsilon^2 in an Einstein-Proca model, where epsilon is a small parameter. In previous work we showed that the holographic dual QFT is a deformation of a CFT by the time component of a vector operator and the parameter epsilon is the corresponding deformation parameter. In the black brane background this operator additionally acquires a vacuum expectation value. We explain how the QFT Ward identity associated with Lifshitz invariance leads to a conserved mass and compute analytically the thermodynamic q…
We find that the four dimensional cosmological Einstein-Yang-Mills theory with $SU(2)$ gauge group admits Lifshitz spacetime as a base solution for the dynamical exponent $z>1$. Motivated by this, we next demonstrate numerically that the field equations admit black hole solutions which behave regularly on the horizon and at spatial infinity for different horizon topologies. The solutions depend on one parameter, the strength of the gauge field at the horizon, which is fine-tuned to capture the Lifshitz asymptotics at infinity. We also discuss the behavior of solutions and the change in Hawking…
I provide a broad framework to embed gradient flow equations in non-relativistic field theory models that exhibit anisotropic scaling. The prime example is the heat equation arising from a Lifshitz scalar field theory; other examples include the Allen-Cahn equation that models the evolution of phase boundaries. Then, I review recent results reported in arXiv:1002.0062 describing instantons of Horava-Lifshitz gravity as eternal solutions of certain geometric flow equations on 3-manifolds. These instanton solutions are in general chiral when the anisotropic scaling exponent is z=3. Some general …
A proposal for a power-counting renormalizable theory of quantum gravity at a Lifshitz point was recently put forth by Horava (arXiv:0901.3775), and has been since dubbed as Horava-Lifshitz gravity. The theory explicitly breaks Lorentz invariance, which introduces an apparent extra scalar degree of freedom. In this note, we show that the low energy limit of (non-projectible) Horava-Lifshitz gravity is uniquely given by the quadratic cuscuton model: a covariant scalar field theory with an infinite speed of sound and a quadratic potential, which is minimally coupled to Einstein gravity. This imp…
The dynamics of the large-scale structure of the universe enjoys at all scales, even in the highly non-linear regime, a Lifshitz symmetry during the matter-dominated period. In this paper we propose a general class of six-dimensional spacetimes which could be a gravity dual to the four-dimensional large-scale structure of the universe. In this set-up, the Lifshitz symmetry manifests itself as an isometry in the bulk and our universe is a four-dimensional brane moving in such six-dimensional bulk. After finding the correspondence between the bulk and the brane dynamical Lifshitz exponents, we f…
In this short note, I present a generalization of a set of static D-dimensional (D >= 3) Lifshitz black holes, which are solutions of the gravitational model obtained by amending the cosmological Einstein theory with the addition of only the curvature-scalar-squared term and that are described by two parameters, to a more general class of exact, analytic solutions that involves an additional parameter which now renders them stationary. In the special D=3 and the dynamical exponent z=1 case, the parameters can be adjusted so that the solution becomes identical to the celebrated BTZ black hole m…
Using the Dirac Method, we study the Hamiltonian consistency for three field theories. First we study the electrodynamics a la Hořava and we show that this system is consistent for an arbitrary dynamical exponent $z.$ Second, we study a Lifshitz type electrodynamics, which was proposed in [1]. For this last system we found that the canonical momentum and the electrical field are related through a Proca type Green function, however this system is consistent. In addition, we show that the anisotropic Yang-Mills theory with dynamical exponent $z=2$ is consistent. Finally, we study a generalized a…
We construct infinite families of Lifshitz solutions of D=10 and D=11 supergravity with dynamical exponent z=2. The new solutions are based on five- and seven-dimensional Einstein manifolds and are dual to theories in 1+2 and 1+1 spacetime dimensions, respectively. When the Einstein spaces are Sasaki-Einstein, the solutions are supersymmetric.
We derive Lifshitz configurations in string theory for general dynamical exponents z \geq 1. We begin by obtaining simple Li x Omega solutions to supergravities in diverse dimensions, with Omega a compact constant curvature manifold. Then we uplift the solutions to ten dimensions, providing configurations that correspond to warped compactifications in Type II string theory.
Through the AdS/CFT correspondence, Lifshitz spacetimes describe field theories with dynamical scaling ($z \neq 1$). Although curvature invariants are small, the Lifshitz metric exhibits a null singularity in the IR with a large tidal force that excites string oscillator modes. However, Lifshitz is not a vacuum solution of the Einstein equations -- the metric is supported by nontrivial matter content which must be taken into account in analyzing the propagation of test objects. In this paper, we consider the interaction of a string with a D0-brane density in the IR which supports a class of UV…
We consider a 3+1 dimensional field theory at a Lifshitz point for a dynamical critical exponent z=3, with a scalar and a fermion field coupled via a Yukawa interaction. Using the non-perturbative Schwinger-Dyson approach we calculate quantum corrections to the effective action. We demonstrate that a first order derivative kinetic term as well as a mass term for the fermion arise dynamically. This signals the restoration of Lorentz symmetry in the IR regime of the single fermion model, although for theories with more than one fermionic species such a conclusion will require fine-tuning of coup…
We describe a Horava-Lifshitz-like reformulated four-fermion Gross-Neveu model describing the dynamics of two-component spinors in (2+1)-dimensional space-time. Within our study, we introduce the Lagrange multiplier, study the gap equation (including the finite temperature case) which turns out to display essentially distinct behaviors for even and odd values of the critical exponent z, and show that the dynamical parity breaking occurs only for the odd z. We demonstrate that for any odd z, there exists a critical temperature at which the dynamical parity breaking disappears. Besides of this, …
In this work we analyze the validity of Lifshitz's theory for the case of non-equilibrium scenarios from a full quantum dynamical approach. We show that Lifshitz's framework for the study of the Casimir pressure is the result of considering the long-time regime (or steady state) of a well-defined fully quantized problem, subjected to initial conditions for the electromagnetic field interacting with real materials. For this, we implement the closed time path formalism developed in previous works to study the case of two half spaces (modeled as composite environments, consisting in quantum degre…
Via the AdS/CFT correspondence, ground states of field theories at finite charge density are mapped to extremal black brane solutions. Studies of simple gravity + matter systems in this context have uncovered wide new classes of extremal geometries. The Lifshitz metrics characterising field theories with non-trivial dynamical critical exponent $z \neq 1$ emerge as one common endpoint in doped holographic toy models. However, the Lifshitz horizon exhibits mildly singular behaviour - while curvature invariants are finite, there are diverging tidal forces. Here we show that in some of the simples…
Using the dynamical system approach, properties of cosmological models based on the Horava-Lifshitz gravity are systematically studied. In particular, the cosmological phase space of the Horava-Lifshitz model is characterized. The analysis allows to compare some key physical consequences of the imposition (or not) of detailed balance. A result of the investigation is that in the detailed balance case one of the attractors in the theory corresponds to an oscillatory behavior. Such oscillations can be associated to a bouncing universe, as previously described by Brandenberger, and will prevent a…
Recently generalizations of the harmonic lattice model has been introduced as a discrete approximation of bosonic field theories with Lifshitz symmetry with a generic dynamical exponent z. In such models in (1+1) and (2+1)-dimensions, we study logarithmic negativity in the vacuum state and also finite temperature states. We investigate various features of logarithmic negativity such as the universal term, its z-dependence and also its temperature dependence in various configurations. We present both analytical and numerical evidences for linear z-dependence of logarithmic negativity in almost …
We solve a renormalized Wheeler-DeWitt equation for Einstein gravity in D+1 dimensions with D= odd in the strong coupling limit, which is expected to be suited to probe quantum geometry at short distances, in order to test Horava's idea that quantum gravity at short distances will be described by a nonrelativistic system with dynamical critical exponent z>1. Our results support the idea and show that the Wheeler-DeWitt equation possesses a solution associated with a z=2 Lifshitz point but no other z>2 solutions to leading order of the strong coupling expansion.
In the non-relativistic theory of gravitation recently proposed by Horava, the Hamiltonian constraint is not a local equation satisfied at each spatial point but an equation integrated over a whole space. The global Hamiltonian constraint is less restrictive than its local version, and allows a richer set of solutions than in general relativity. We show that a component which behaves like pressureless dust emerges as an "integration constant" of dynamical equations and momentum constraint equations. Consequently, classical solutions to the infrared limit of Horava-Lifshitz gravity can mimic ge…
The purpose of this paper is to present our study on the restoration of the Lorentz symmetry for a Lifshitz-type scalar theory in the infrared region by using nonperturbative methods. We apply the Wegner-Houghton equation, which is one of the exact renormalization group equations, to the Lifshitz-type theory. Analyzing the equation for a z=2, d=3+1 Lifshitz-type scalar model, and using some variable transformations, we found that broken symmetry terms vanish in the infrared region. This shows that the Lifshitz-type scalar model dynamically restores the Lorentz symmetry at low energy. Our resul…
We propose a construction of 1+1 integrable Heisenberg-Landau-Lifshitz type equations in the ${\rm gl}_N$ case. The dynamical variables are matrix elements of $N\times N$ matrix $S$ with the property $S^2={\rm const}\cdot S$. The Lax pair with spectral parameter is constructed by means of a quantum $R$-matrix satisfying the associative Yang-Baxter equation. Equations of motion for ${\rm gl}_N$ Landau-Lifshitz model are derived from the Zakharov-Shabat equations. The model is simplified when ${\rm rank}(S)=1$. In this case the Hamiltonian description is suggested. The described family of models…
We disclose the effects of Lifshitz dynamical exponent $z$ on the properties of holographic paramagnetic-ferromagnetic phase transition in the background of Lifshitz spacetime. To preserve the conformal invariance in higher dimensions, we consider the Power-Maxwell (PM) electrodynamics as our gauge field. We introduce a massive $2$-form coupled to the PM field and perform the numerical shooting method in the probe limit by assuming the PM and the $2$-form fields do not back-react on the background geometry. The obtained results indicate that the critical temperature decreases with increasing t…
Extending the background metric optimization procedure for Euclidean path integrals of two-dimensional conformal field theories, introduced by Caputa et al. (Phys. Rev. Lett. 119, 071602 (2017)), to a $z=2$ anisotropically scale-invariant $(2+1)$-dimensional Lifshitz field theory of a free massless scalar field, we find optimal geometries for static and dynamic correlation functions. For the static correlation functions, the optimal background metric is equivalent to an AdS metric on a Poincare patch, while for dynamical correlation functions, we find Lifshitz like metric. This results suggest…
