We calculate the first three Seeley-DeWitt coefficients for fluctuation of the massless fields of an $\mathcal{N}=2$ Einstein-Maxwell supergravity theory (EMSGT) distributed into different multiplets in $d=4$ space-time dimensions. By utilizing the Seeley-DeWitt data in the quantum entropy function formalism, we then obtain the logarithmic correction contribution of individual multiplets to the entropy of extremal Kerr-Newman family of black holes. Our results allow us to find the logarithmic entropy corrections for the extremal black holes in a fully matter coupled $\mathcal{N}=2,d=4$ EMSGT, in a particular class of $\mathcal{N}=1,d=4$ EMSGT as consistent decomposition of $\mathcal{N}=2$ multiplets ($\mathcal{N}=2 \to \mathcal{N}=1$) and in $\mathcal{N} \geq 3,d=4$ EMSGTs by decomposing them into $\mathcal{N}=2$ multiplets ($\mathcal{N} \geq 3 \to \mathcal{N}=2$). For completeness, we also obtain logarithmic entropy correction results for the non-extremal Kerr-Newman black holes in the matter coupled $\mathcal{N} \geq 1,d=4$ EMSGTs by employing the same Seeley-DeWitt data into a different Euclidean gravity approach developed in arXiv:1205.0971.
In this paper we derive the Anti de Sitter counterpart of the super-Maxwell algebra presented recently by Bonanos et.\ al. Then we gauge this algebra and derive the corresponding supergravity theory, which turns out to be described by the standard N=1 supergravity lagrangian, up to topological terms.
The construction of the three-dimensional Chern-Simons supergravity theory invariant under the minimal Maxwell superalgebra is presented. We obtain a supergravity action without cosmological constant term characterized by three coupling constants. We also show that the Maxwell supergravity presented here appears as a vanishing cosmological constant limit of a minimal AdS-Lorentz supergravity. The flat limit is applied at the level of the superalgebra, Chern-Simons action, supersymmetry transformation laws and field equations.
We present the construction of the $D=4$ supergravity action from the minimal Maxwell superalgebra $s\mathcal{M}_{4}$, which can be derived from the $\mathfrak{osp}\left( 4|1\right) $ superalgebra by applying the abelian semigroup expansion procedure. We show that $N=1$, $D=4$ pure supergravity can be obtained alternatively as the MacDowell-Mansouri like action built from the curvatures of the Maxwell superalgebra $s\mathcal{M}_{4}$. We extend this result to all minimal Maxwell superalgebras type $s\mathcal{M}_{m+2}$. The invariance under supersymmetry transformations is also analized.
Abstract We present the construction of the first-order $D=4$, $\mathcal{N}=1$ supergravity action by gauging the Maxwell-Weyl superalgebra. The four-form lagrangian is constructed by using the curvatures of the algebra and the local scale invariance of the action is achieved through the introduction of a compensating scalar field. Finally, we find the generalized Einstein equation with a coordinate dependent cosmological term.
We reviewed the field redefinition approach of Seeley-DeWitt expansion for the determination of Seeley-DeWitt coefficients from arXiv:1505.01156. We apply this approach to compute the first three Seeley-DeWitt coefficients for \say{non-minimal} $\mathcal{N}=1$ Einstein-Maxwell supergravity in four dimensions. Finally, we use the third coefficient for the computation of the logarithmic corrections to the Bekenstein-Hawking entropy of non-extremal black holes following arXiv:1205.0971. We determine the logarithmic corrections for non-extremal Kerr-Newman, Kerr, Reissner-Nordström and Schwarzschi…
We study one-loop covariant effective action of \say{non-minimally coupled} $\mathcal{N}=1$, $d=4$ Einstein-Maxwell supergravity theory by heat kernel tool. By fluctuating the fields around the classical background, we study the functional determinant of Laplacian differential operator following Seeley-DeWitt technique of heat kernel expansion in proper time. We then compute the Seeley-DeWitt coefficients obtained through the expansion. A particular Seeley-DeWitt coefficient is used for determining the logarithmic correction to Bekenstein-Hawking entropy of extremal black holes using quantum e…
We expose a double-copy structure in the scattering amplitudes of the generic Jordan family of N=2 Maxwell-Einstein and Yang-Mills/Einstein supergravity theories in four and five dimensions. The Maxwell-Einstein supergravity amplitudes are obtained through the color/kinematics duality as a product of two gauge-theory factors; one originating from pure N=2 super-Yang-Mills theory and the other from the dimensional reduction of a bosonic higher-dimensional pure Yang-Mills theory. We identify a specific symplectic frame in four dimensions for which the on-shell fields and amplitudes from the doub…
A necessary condition for partial breaking of N=2 global supersymmetry is the presence of nonlinear deformations of the field transformations which cannot be generated by background values of auxiliary fields. This work studies the simplest of these deformations which already occurs in N=1 global supersymmetry, and its coupling to supergravity. It can be viewed as an imaginary constant shift of the D-auxiliary real field of an abelian gauge multiplet. We show how this deformation describes the magnetic dual of a Fayet-Iliopoulos term, a result that remains valid in supergravity, using its new-…
In this work, we expand the hidden $AdS$-Lorentz superalgebra underlying $D=4$ supergravity, reaching a (hidden) Maxwell superalgebra. The latter can be viewed as an extension involving cosmological constant of the superalgebra underlying $D=4$ supergravity in flat spacetime. We write the Maurer-Cartan equations in this context and we find some interesting extensions of the antisymmetric $3$-form $A^{(3)}$ appearing in the Free Differential Algebra in Minkowski space. The structure of Free Differential Algebras is obtained by considering the zero curvature equations. We write the parametrizati…
The purpose of this paper is to show that the so-called Maxwell superalgebra in four dimensions, which naturally involves the presence of a nilpotent fermionic generator, can be interpreted as a hidden superalgebra underlying N = 1, D=4 supergravity extended to include a 2-form gauge potential associated to a 2-index antisymmetric tensor. In this scenario, the theory is appropriately discussed in the context of Free Differential Algebras (an extension of the Maurer-Cartan equations to involve higher-degree differential forms). The study is then extended to the Free Differential Algebra describ…
We compute the logarithmic correction to black hole entropy about exponentially suppressed saddle points of the Quantum Entropy Function corresponding to Z(N) orbifolds of the near horizon geometry of the extremal black hole under study. By carefully accounting for zero mode contributions we show that the logarithmic contributions for quarter--BPS black holes in N=4 supergravity and one--eighth BPS black holes in N=8 supergravity perfectly match with the prediction from the microstate counting. We also find that the logarithmic contribution for half--BPS black holes in N = 2 supergravity depen…
Six-dimensional N=(1,0) Einstein-Maxwell gauged supergravity is known to admit a (Minkowski)_4\times S^2 vacuum solution with four-dimensional N=1 supersymmetry. The massless sector comprises a supergravity multiplet, an SU(2) Yang-Mills vector multiplet, and a scalar multiplet. In this paper it is shown that, remarkably, the six-dimensional theory admits a fully consistent dimensional reduction on the 2-sphere, implying that all solutions of the four-dimensional N=1 supergravity can be lifted back to solutions in six dimensions. This provides a striking realisation of the idea, first proposed…
We present a new class of three-dimensional $\mathcal{N}$-extended supergravity theories based on the $\mathcal{N}$-extended Maxwell superalgebra with central charges and $\mathfrak{so}(\mathcal{N})$ internal symmetry generators. The presence of $\mathfrak{so}(\mathcal{N})$ generators is required in order to define a non-degenerate invariant inner product. Such symmetry allows us to construct an alternative supergravity action without cosmological constant term. Interestingly, the new theories can be obtained as a flat limit of a $\mathcal{N}$-extended AdS-Lorentz supergravity theories enlarge…
BPS and non-BPS orbits for extremal black-holes in N=2 Maxwell-Einstein supergravity theories (MESGT) in five dimensions were classified long ago by the present authors for the case of symmetric scalar manifolds. Motivated by these results and some recent work on non-supersymmetric attractors we show that attractor equations in N=2 MESGTs in d=5 do indeed possess the distinct families of solutions with finite Bekenstein-Hawking entropy. The new non-BPS solutions have non-vanishing central charge and matter charge which is invariant under the maximal compact subgroup of the stabilizer of the no…
We study the general gaugings of N=2 Maxwell-Einstein supergravity theories (MESGT) in five dimensions, extending and generalizing previous work. The global symmetries of these theories are of the form SU(2)_R X G, where SU(2)_R is the R-symmetry group of the N=2 Poincare superalgebra and G is the group of isometries of the scalar manifold that extend to symmetries of the full action. We first gauge a subgroup K of G by turning some of the vector fields into gauge fields of K while dualizing the remaining vector fields into tensor fields transforming in a non-trivial representation of K. Surpr…
We present a consolidated manual of Euclidean gravity approaches for finding the logarithmic corrections to the entropy of the full Kerr-Newman family of black holes in both extremal and non-extremal limits. Seeley-DeWitt coefficients for the quadratic fluctuations of a concern gravity theory appear to be the key ingredients in this manual. Following the manual, we calculate the first three Seeley-DeWitt coefficients and logarithmic corrections to the entropy of extremal and non-extremal black holes in a generalized Einstein-Maxwell theory minimally-coupled to additional massless scalar, vecto…
We study unified N=2 Maxwell-Einstein supergravity theories (MESGTs) and unified Yang-Mills Einstein supergravity theories (YMESGTs) in four dimensions. As their defining property, these theories admit the action of a global or local symmetry group that is (i) simple, and (ii) acts irreducibly on all the vector fields of the theory, including the ``graviphoton''. Restricting ourselves to the theories that originate from five dimensions via dimensional reduction, we find that the generic Jordan family of MESGTs with the scalar manifolds [SU(1,1)/U(1)] X [SO(2,n)/SO(2)X SO(n)] are all unified in…
We investigate the presence of vortex structures in a Maxwell model with a logarithmic generalization. This generalization becomes important because it generates stationary field solutions in models that describe the dynamics of a scalar field. In this work, we will choose to investigate the dynamics of the complex scalar field with the gauge field governed by Maxwell term. For this, we will investigate the Bogomol'nyi equations to describe the static field configurations. Then, we show numerically that the complex scalar field solutions that generate minimum energy configurations have interna…
We elucidate the mismatch between the $A$-anomaly coefficient and the coefficient of the logarithmic term in the entanglement entropy of a Maxwell field. In contrast to the usual assumptions about the protection of renormalization group charges at the infrared, the logarithmic term is different for a free Maxwell field and a Maxwell field interacting with heavy charges. This is possible because of the presence of superselection sectors in the IR theory. However, the correction due to the coupling with charged vacuum fluctuations, that restores the anomaly coefficient, is independent of the pre…
Unified N=2 Maxwell-Einstein supergravity theories (MESGTs) are supergravity theories in which all the vector fields, including the graviphoton, transform in an irreducible representation of a simple global symmetry group of the Lagrangian. As was established long time ago, in five dimensions there exist only four unified Maxwell-Einstein supergravity theories whose target manifolds are symmetric spaces. These theories are defined by the four simple Euclidean Jordan algebras of degree three. In this paper, we show that, in addition to these four unified MESGTs with symmetric target spaces, the…
We present the construction of the $D=3$ Chern-Simons supergravity action without cosmological constant from the minimal Maxwell superalgebra $s\mathcal{M}_{3}$. This superalgebra contains two Majorana fermionic charges and can be obtained from the $\mathfrak{osp}\left( 2|1\right) \otimes\mathfrak{sp}\left( 2\right) $ superalgebra using the abelian semigroup expansion procedure. The components of the Maxwell invariant tensor are explicitly derived.
In this letter is shown that it is possible to obtain scalar hypersurfaces in 5D N=2 SUGRA where the allowed regions with positive definite scalar metric have a non-trivial topology. This situation may aid in the construction of domain wall solutions which confine gravity to 4 dimensions.
The partition function on the three-sphere of ABJM theory and its generalizations has, at large N, a universal, subleading logarithmic term. Inspired by the success of one-loop quantum gravity for computing the logarithmic corrections to black hole entropy, we try to reproduce this universal term by a one-loop calculation in Euclidean eleven-dimensional supergravity on AdS_4 \times X_7. We find perfect agreement between the results of ABJM theory and the eleven dimensional supergravity.
In this paper we study the supermultiplet structure of $\mathcal{N}=(1,1)$ General Massive Supergravity at non-critical and critical points of its parameter space. To do this, we first linearize the theory around its maximally supersymmetric AdS$_3$ vacuum and obtain the full linearized Lagrangian including fermionic terms. At generic values, linearized modes can be organized as two massless and 2 massive multiplets where supersymmetry relates them in the standard way. At critical points logarithmic modes appear and we find that in three of such points some of the supersymmetry transformations…
The general structure of the scalar cosets of the Maxwell-Einstein supergravities is given. Following an introduction of the non-linear coset formalism of the supergravity theories a comparison of the coset algebras of the Maxwell-Einstein supergravities in various dimensions is discussed.
Seeley-DeWitt Coefficients in $\mathcal{N}=2$ Einstein-Maxwell Supergravity Theory and Logarithmic Corrections to $\mathcal{N}=2$ Extremal Black Hole Entropy
We study $N=2$ gauged supergravity with $U(1)$ gauge group coupled to $n_v$ vector multiplets and find quite general analytic solutions for quarter-BPS black holes with mass, NUT and dyonic Maxwell charges. The solutions we find have running scalar fields and flow in the IR region to a horizon geometry of the form AdS$_2\times Σ_g$.
We construct the 11-dimensional lift of the known N=2 supersymmetric RG flow solution in 4-dimensional N=8 gauged supergravity. The squashed and stretched 7-dimensional internal metric preserving SU(2) x U(1) x U(1)_R symmetry contains an Einstein-Kahler 2-fold which is a base manifold of 5-dimensional Sasaki-Einstein Y^{p, q} space found in 2004. The nontrivial r(transverse to the domain wall)-dependence of the AdS_4 supergravity fields makes the Einstein-Maxwell equations consistent not only at the critical points but also along the supersymmetric whole RG flow connecting two critical points…
In ungauged supergravity theories, the no-force condition for BPS states implies the existence of stable static multi-centered solutions. The first solutions to Einstein-Maxwell theory with a positive cosmological constant describing an arbitrary number of charged black holes were found by Kastor and Traschen. Generalisations to five and higher dimensional theories were obtained by London. Multi-centered solutions in gauged supergravity, even with time-dependence allowed, have yet to be constructed. In this letter we construct supersymmetry-preserving multi-centered solutions for the case of D…
We compute the logarithmic coefficient of the entanglement entropy on a sphere for a Maxwell field in $d=4$ dimensions. In spherical coordinates the problem decomposes into one dimensional ones along the radial coordinate for each angular momentum. We show the entanglement entropy of a Maxwell field is equivalent to the one of two identical massless scalars from which the mode of $l=0$ has been removed. This shows the relation $c^M_{\log}=2 (c^S_{\log}-c^{S_{l=0}}_{\log})$ between the logarithmic coefficient in the entropy for a Maxwell field $c^M_{\log}$, the one for a $d=4$ massless scalar $…
We investigate the presence of topological structures and multiple phase transitions in the O(3)-sigma model with the gauge field governed by Maxwell's term and subject to a so-called Gausson's self-dual potential. To carry out this study, it is numerically shown that this model supports topological solutions in 3-dimensional spacetime. In fact, to obtain the topological solutions, we assume a spherically symmetrical ansatz to find the solutions, as well as some physical behaviors of the vortex, as energy and magnetic field. It is presented a planar view of the magnetic field as an interesting…
Using the harmonic superspace method and the duality between real and complex representations of hypermultiplets, we compute the explicit scalar field expression of the quaternionic metric $G_{mn}$ of the moduli space SO(1,1)x[SO(4,k)/(SO(4)xSO(k))] of 6D N=2 supergravity with generic k Maxwell supermultiplets. The obtained metric includes the particular case k=20 associated with 10D type IIA superstring on K3. Uplifting to 7D N=2 supergravity is described and aspects of 6D/7D black attractor effective potentials are studied.
We study various aspects of four dimensional Einstein-Maxwell multicentred gravitational instantons. These are half-BPS Riemannian backgrounds of minimal N=2 supergravity, asymptotic to R^4, R^3 x S^1 or AdS_2 x S^2. Unlike for the Gibbons-Hawking solutions, the topology is not restricted by boundary conditions. We discuss the classical metric on the instanton moduli space. One class of these solutions may be lifted to causal and regular multi `solitonic strings', without horizons, of 4+1 dimensional N=2 supergravity, carrying null momentum.
This article reviews recent progress in formulating double-copy constructions for scattering amplitudes in supergravity theories with N=2 supersymmetry in five and four spacetime dimensions. Particular attention is devoted to infinite families of Maxwell-Einstein theories with symmetric and homogeneous target spaces and to Yang-Mills-Einstein theories with compact gauge groups. Extension of the construction to theories with spontaneously-broken gauge symmetry is also discussed.
We consider the bosonic and fermionic symmetries of five-dimensional Maxwell- and Yang-Mills-Einstein supergravity theories on a spacetime with boundaries (isomorphic to M x S1/Z2). Due to the appearance of the "Chern-Simons" term, the classical action is not generally invariant under gauge and supersymmetries. Once bulk vector fields are allowed to propagate on the boundaries, there is an "inflow" governed by the rank-3 symmetric tensor that defines the five-dimensional theories. We discuss the requirements that invariance of the action imposes on new matter content and boundary conditions.
We find new non-supersymmetric solutions of five-dimensional ungauged supergravity coupled to two vector multiplets. The solutions are regular, horizonless and have the same asymptotic charges as non-extremal charged black holes. An essential ingredient in our construction is a four-dimensional Euclidean base which is a solution to Einstein-Maxwell equations. We construct stationary solutions based on the Euclidean dyonic Reissner-Nordstrom black hole as well as a six-parameter family with a dyonic Kerr-Newman-NUT base. These solutions can be viewed as compactifications of eleven-dimensional s…
We construct charged generalizations of the dilaton C-metric in various four-dimensional theories, including STU gauged supergravity as well as a one-parameter family of Einstein-Maxwell-dilaton theories whose scalar potential can be expressed in terms of a superpotential. In addition, we present time-dependent generalizations of the dilaton C-metric and dilaton Ernst solutions, for which the time evolution is driven by the dilaton. These C-metric solutions provide holographic descriptions of a strongly-coupled three-dimensional field theory on the background of a black hole, a gravitational s…
We compute the leading logarithmic correction to black hole entropy on the non-BPS branch of 4D ${\cal N}\geq 2$ supergravity theories. This branch corresponds to finite temperature black holes whose extremal limit does not preserve supersymmetry, such as the $D0-D6$ system in string theory. Starting from a black hole in minimal Kaluza-Klein theory, we discuss in detail its embedding into ${\cal N}=8, 6, 4, 2$ supergravity, its spectrum of quadratic fluctuations in all these environments, and the resulting quantum corrections. We find that the $c$-anomaly vanishes only when ${\cal N}\geq 6$, i…
We calculate the logarithmic correction to the entropy of asymptotically flat and AdS black holes (rotating, non-rotating, charged, and uncharged) embedded in Einstein-Maxwell-dilaton (EMD) theories with $U(1)$-charged. The leading quantum gravitational corrections are achieved in both extremal and non-extremal limits of black hole temperature by designing a common Euclidean gravity setup that evaluates the "logarithmic term" from one-loop effective actions via heat kernel method-based calculations. EMD theories are universal building blocks of compactified string theory or supergravity models…
We investigate the hidden symmetries and existence of Killing spinors of D=5 minimal gauged supergravity solutions which admit a Killing-Maxwell system in the sense of Carter, such as the Chong-Cveti$\check{c}$-Lü-Pope (CCLP) Kerr-dS black hole spacetime and a 5-dimensional minimal gauged supergravity solution endowed with a Sasaki structure deformed by torsion, a limiting case of the generalization of the 5-dimensional toric Sasaki-Einstein $L^{a,b,c}$ spacetime. We note that when an electromagnetic tensor is present and an associated Killing-Maxwell system can be constructed in the sense of …
Asymptotic symmetry plays an important role in determining physical observables of a theory. Recently, in the context of four dimensional asymptotically flat pure gravity and $\mathcal{N}=1$ supergravity, it has been proposed that OPEs of appropriate celestial amplitudes can be used to find their asymptotic symmetries. In this paper we find the asymptotic symmetry algebras of four dimensional Einstein-Yang-Mills and Einstein-Maxwell theories using this alternative approach, namely using the OPEs of their respective celestial amplitudes. The algebra obtained here are in agreement with the known…
We investigate the hidden symmetries of the Kerr-Newman, of the D=5 minimal gauged supergravity which admits a Killing-Maxwell system in the sense of Carter and of higher dimensional spacetimes in the presence of Killing-Yano torsion. We note that when an electromagnetic tensor is present and an associated Killing-Maxwell system can be constructed in the sense of Carter, the Killing- Maxwell field becomes a PCKY (primary conformal Killing-Yano) tensor or a PGCKY (primary generalized conformal Killing-Yano) tensor, the latter in the presence of torsion. We point out the structure of the Dirac-t…
We use the superconformal method to construct a new formulation for pure off-shell D=5, N=2 Poincaré supergravity and present its internal gauging. The main difference between the traditional formulation and our new formulation is the choice of the Dilaton Weyl Multiplet as the background Weyl Multiplet and the choice of a Linear compensating Multiplet. We do not introduce an external vector multiplet to gauge the theory, but instead use the internal vector of the Dilaton Weyl Multiplet. We show that the corresponding on-shell theory is Einstein-Maxwell supergravity. We believe that this gaugi…
We show a uniqueness theorem for charged rotating black holes in the bosonic sector of five-dimensional minimal supergravity. More precisely, under the assumptions of the existence of two commuting axial isometries and spherical topology of horizon cross-sections, we prove that an asymptotically flat, stationary charged rotating black hole with finite temperature in five-dimensional Einstein-Maxwell-Chern-Simons theory is uniquely characterized by the mass, charge, and two independent angular momenta and therefore is described by the five-dimensional Cvetic-Youm solution with equal charges. We…
For the free massless spin-one and spin-two field theories one may write the action in a form which is manifestly invariant under electric-magnetic duality. This is achieved by introducing new potentials through solving the constraints of the Hamiltonian formulation. The price for making electric-magnetic duality invariance manifest through this direct procedure is losing manifest Lorentz invariance. Both theories admit supersymmetric extensions, which make the bosonic fields and their corresponding fermionic partners to be parts of the same geometrical object, a supermultiplet. We present in …
We study the interplay between graviton reggeization and double-logarithmic in energy contributions to four-graviton scattering in theories with and without supersymmetry. Predictions to all orders in the gravitational coupling are given for these double-logarithms. As the number of supersymmetries grows these terms generate a convergent behaviour for the amplitudes at very high energies. At two-loop level, we find agreement with previous exact results for N=8 supergravity and with those of Boucher-Veronneau and Dixon, who studied the N=4,5,6 supergravities using a conjectured double-copy stru…
We review some aspects of the attractor mechanism for extremal black holes of (not necessarily supersymmetric) theories coupling Einstein gravity to scalars and Maxwell vector fields. Thence, we consider N=2 and N=8, d=4 supergravities, reporting some recent advances on the moduli spaces associated to BPS and non-BPS attractor solutions supported by charge orbits with non-compact stabilizers.
We show that the first-order D=4, N=1 pure supergravity lagrangian four-form can be obtained geometrically as a quadratic expression in the curvatures of the Maxwell superalgebra. This is achieved by noticing that the relative coefficient between the two terms of the Lagrangian that makes the action locally supersymmetric also determines trivial field equations for the gauge fields associated with the extra generators of the Maxwell superalgebra. Along the way, a convenient geometric procedure to check the local supersymmetry of a class of lagrangians is developed.
We embed general solutions to 4D Einstein-Maxwell theory into $\mathcal{N} \geq 2$ supergravity and study quadratic fluctuations of the supergravity fields around the background. We compute one-loop quantum corrections for all fields and show that the $c$-anomaly vanishes for complete $\mathcal{N}=2$ multiplets. Logarithmic corrections to the entropy of Kerr-Newman black holes are therefore universal and independent of black hole parameters.
Using the SL(2,R)-duality in a dimensionally reduced spacetime in (the bosonic sector of) five-dimensional minimal supergravity, we construct general Kaluza-Klein black hole solutions which carry six independent charges, its mass, angular momentum along four dimensions, electric and magnetic charges of the Maxwell fields in addition to Kaluza-Klein electric and magnetic monopole charges.
We derive the U-duality charge orbits, as well as the related moduli spaces, of "large" and "small" extremal black holes in non-maximal ungauged Maxwell-Einstein supergravities with symmetric scalar manifolds in d=5 space-time dimensions. The stabilizer groups of the various classes of orbits are obtained by determining and solving suitable U-invariant sets of constraints, both in "bare" and "dressed" charges bases, with various methods. After a general treatment of attractors in real special geometry (also considering non-symmetric cases), the N=2 "magic" theories, as well as the N=2 Jordan s…
We present explicit solutions of the time-symmetric initial value constraints, expressed in terms of freely specfiable harmonic functions for examples of supergravity theories, which emerge as effective theories of compactified string theory. These results are a prequisite for the study of the time-evolution of topologically non-trivial initial data for supergravity theories, thus generalising the "Geometrodynamics" program of Einstein-Maxwell theory to that of supergravity theories. Specifically, we focus on examples of multiple electric Maxwell and scalar fields, and analyse the initial data…
We continue the effort of defining and evaluating the quantum entropy function for supersymmetric black holes in 4d ${\cal N} = 2$ gauged supergravity, initiated in [1803.05920]. The emphasis here is on the missing steps in the previous localization analysis, mainly dealing with one-loop determinants for abelian vector multiplets and hypermultiplets on the non-compact space $\mathbb{H}_2 \times Σ_{\rm g}$ with particular boundary conditions. We use several different techniques to arrive at consistent results, which have a most direct bearing on the logarithmic correction terms to the Bekenstei…
We present a twistor-like formula for the complete tree-level S matrix of 6D $(2,0)$ supergravity coupled to $21$ abelian tensor multiplets. This is the low-energy effective theory that corresponds to Type IIB superstring theory compactified on a $\mathrm{K}3$ surface. The formula is expressed as an integral over the moduli space of certain rational maps of the punctured Riemann sphere. By studying soft limits of the formula, we are able to explore the local moduli space of this theory, ${SO(5,21)\over SO(5)\times SO(21)}$. Finally, by dimensional reduction, we also obtain a new formula for th…
