We define Hardy spaces $\mathcal{H}^p$ for quasiregular mappings in the plane, and show that for a particular class of these mappings many of the classical properties that hold in the classical setting of analytic mappings still hold. This particular class of quasiregular mappings can be characterised in terms of composition operators when the symbol is quasiconformal. Relations between Carleson measures and Hardy spaces play an important role in the discussion. This program was initiated and developed for Hardy spaces of quasiconformal mappings by Astala and Koskela in 2011 in their paper $\mathcal{H}^p$-theory for Quasiconformal Mappings.
Suppose $p\geq1$, $w=P[F]$ is a harmonic mapping of the unit disk $\mathbb{D}$ satisfying $F$ is absolutely continuous and $\dot{F}\in L^p(0, 2π)$, where $\dot{F}(e^{it})=\frac{\mathrm{d}}{\mathrm{d}t}F(e^{it})$. In this paper, we obtain Bergman norm estimates of the partial derivatives for $w$, i.e., $\|w_z\|_{L^p}$ and $\|\overline{w_{\bar{z}}}\|_{L^p}$, where $1\leq p<2$. Furthermore, if $w$ is a harmonic quasiregular mapping of $\mathbb{D}$, then we show that $w_z$ and $\overline{w_{\bar{z}}}$ are in the Hardy space $H^p$, where $1\leq p\leq\infty$. The corresponding Hardy norm estimates, …

In this paper, we introduce a discrete analogue of weighted Hardy spaces on rooted trees and study weighted composition operators between them in detail. In particular, we characterize bounded and compact weighted composition operators between discrete Hardy spaces. We also consider isometric weighted composition operators between these spaces.
In this paper, we completely characterize the order boundedness of weighted composition operators between different weighted Dirichlet spaces and different derivative Hardy spaces.
In this work, we prove that weak compactness of composition operator on $H^{1}(U^{n})$ coincides with its compactness. We also characterize bounded and compact composition operators on $H^{1}(U^{n}).$\
We identify the semigroups consisting of bounded composition operators on the Hardy spaces $H^p(\U)$ of the upper half-plane. We show that any such semigroup is strongly continuous on $H^p(\U)$ but not uniformly continuous and we identify the infinitesimal generator.
In this paper, the boundedness and compactness of the difference of composition-differentiation operators $D_φ-D_ψ$ acting from Hardy spaces $H^p$ to weighted Bergman spaces $A^q_α$ are completely characterize for all $0<p,q<\infty$.
We show that the already known results for a composition operator to have closed range on H2 (Cima, Thomson, and Wogen (1974), Zorboska (1994)) can be extended to Hp for p>0 .
In this paper, we give some estimates for the essential norm and a new characterization for the boundedness and compactness of weighted composition operators from weighted Bergman spaces and Hardy spaces to the Bloch space.
Complex dynamics deals with the iteration of holomorphic functions. As is well- known, the first functions to be studied which gave non-trivial dynamics were quadratic polynomials, which produced beautiful computer generated pictures of Julia sets and the Mandelbrot set. In the same spirit, this article aims to study the dynamics of the simplest non-trivial quasiregular mappings. These are mappings in R^2 which are a composition of a quadratic polynomial and an affine stretch.
We prove that a composition operator is bounded on the Hardy space $H^2$ of the right half-plane if and only if the inducing map fixes the point at infinity non-tangentially, and has a finite angular derivative $λ$ there. In this case the norm, essential norm, and spectral radius of the operator are all equal to $\sqrtλ$.
In this paper, we investigate the complex symmetric structure of generalized weighted composition operators $D_{m,ψ,φ}$ on the weighted Hardy space $H^2(β)$. We obtain explicit conditions for $ D_{m,ψ,φ}$ to be complex symmetric with the conjugation $J_w$. Under the assumption that $ D_{m,ψ,φ}$ is $J_w$-symmetric, some sufficient and necessary conditions for $D_{m,ψ,φ}$ to be Hermitian and normal are given.
We prove that the weighted composition operator $W_{ϕ,φ}$ fixes an isomorphic copy of $\ell^p$ if the operator $W_{ϕ,φ}$ is not compact on the derivative Hardy space $S^p$. In particular, this implies that the strict singularity of the operator $W_{ϕ,φ}$ coincides with the compactness of it on $S^p$. Moreover, when $p\neq2$, we characterize the conditions for those weighted composition operators $W_{ϕ,φ}$ on $S^p$ which fix an isomorphic copy of $\ell^2$ .
We show that there exist non-compact composition operators in the connected component of the compact ones on the classical Hardy space $H^2$ on the unit disc. This answers a question posed by Shapiro and Sundberg in 1990. We also establish an improved version of a theorem of MacCluer, giving a lower bound for the essential norm of a difference of composition operators in terms of the angular derivatives of their symbols. As a main tool we use Aleksandrov-Clark measures.
Suppose $n\geq 3$ and let $B$ be the open unit ball in $\mathbb{R}^n$. Let $φ: B\to B$ be a $C^2$ map whose Jacobian does not change sign, and let $ψ$ be a $C^2$ function on $B$. We characterize bounded weighted composition operators $W_{φ,ψ}$ acting on harmonic Hardy spaces $h^p(B)$. In addition, we compute the operator norm of $W_{φ,ψ}$ on $h^p(B)$ when $φ$ is a Möbius transformation of $B$.
We consider the invariant subspace of composition operators on Hardy space $H^p$ where the composition operators corresponding to a function $φ$ that is a holomorphic self-map of $\mathbb D$. Firstly, we discuss composition operators $C_φ$ on subspace $H_{α,β}^p$ of Hardy space $H^p$. We will explore the invariant subspaces for $C_φ$ in various special cases. Secondly, we consider Beurling type invariant subspace for $C_φ$. When $θ$ is a inner function, we prove that $θH^p$ is invariant for $C_φ$ if and only if $\displaystyle{\frac{θ\circφ}θ}$ belongs to $\mathcal S(\mathbb D)$. Thirdly, we ob…
In this paper, we investigate the spectra of invertible weighted composition operators with automorphism symbols, on Hardy space $H^2(\mathbb{B}_N)$ and weighted Bergman spaces $A_α^2(\mathbb{B}_N)$, where $\mathbb{B}_N$ is the unit ball of the $N$-dimensional complex space. By taking $N=1$, $\mathbb{B}_N=\mathbb{D}$ the unit disc, we also complete the discussion about the spectrum of a weighted composition operator when it is invertible on $H^2(\mathbb{D})$ or $A_α^2(\mathbb{D})$.
It is well-known that a polynomial f(z)=a_d z^d(1+o(1)) can be conjugated by a holomorphic map phi to w \mapsto w^d in a neighbourhood of infinity. This map phi is called a Böttcher coordinate for f near infinity. In this paper we construct a Böttcher type coordinate for compositions of affine mappings and polynomials, a class of mappings first studied in "Quasiregular mappings of polynomial type in R^2" by A.Fletcher and D.Goodman. As an application, we prove that if h is affine and c is a complex number, then h(z)^2+c is not uniformly quasiregular.
Let $ϕ(z)=(ϕ_1(z),...,ϕ_n(z))$ be a holomorphic self-map of $B_n$ and $ψ(z)$ a holomorphic function on $B_n$, and $H(B_n)$ the class of all holomorphic functions on $B_n$, where $B_n$ is the unit ball of $C^n$, the weight composition operator $W_{ψ,ϕ}$ is defined by $W_{ψ,ϕ}=ψf(ϕ)$ for $f\in H(B_n)$. In this paper we estimate the essential norm for the weighted composition operator $W_{ψ,ϕ}$ acting from the Hardy space $H^p$ to $H^q$ ($0<p,q\leq \infty$). When $p=\infty$ and $q=2$, we give an exact formula for the essential norm. As their applications, we also obtain some sufficient and necess…
We show that the weighted Bergman-Orlicz space $A\_α^ψ$ coincides with some weighted Banach space of holomorphic functions if and only if the Orlicz function $ψ$ satisfies the so-called $Δ^{2}$--condition. In addition we prove that this condition characterizes those $A\_α^ψ$ on which every composition operator is bounded or order bounded into the Orlicz space $L\_α^ψ$. This provides us with estimates of the norm and the essential norm of composition operators on such spaces. We also prove that when $ψ$ satisfies the $Δ^{2}$--condition, a composition operator is compact on $A\_α^ψ$ if and only …
For any real $β$ let $H^2_β$ be the Hardy-Sobolev space on the unit disc $\mathbb{D}$. $H^2_β$ is a reproducing kernel Hilbert space and its reproducing kernel is bounded when $β>1/2$. In this paper, we characterize that for a non-constant analytic function $φ:\mathbb{D}\to\mathbb{D}$, when the composition operator $C_{φ}$ on $H^{2}_{β}$ is Fredholm. For $1/2<β<1$, we also prove that $C_{φ}$ has dense range in $H_{β}^{2}$ if and only if the polynomials are dense in a certain Dirichlet space of the domain $φ(\mathbb{D})$. It follows that if the range of $C_{φ}$ is dense in $H_{β}^{2}$, then $φ$…
In thius paper we introduce the Hardy and Bergman spaces on hyperconvex domains relative to a acontinuous exhaustion function. We prove their basic properties and study their composition operators induced by holomorphic mappings between domains.
In this paper, we study 2-complex symmetric composition operators with the conjugation $J$ on the Hardy space $H^2$. More precisely, we obtain the necessary and sufficient condition for the composition operator $C_ϕ$ to be 2-complex symmetric when the symbols $ϕ$ is an automorphism of $\mathbb D$. We also characterize the 2-complex symmetric composition operator $C_ϕ$ on the Hardy space $H^2$ when $ϕ$ is a linear fractional self-map of $\mathbb D$.
We realize norms of most composition operators acting on the Hardy space with linear fractional symbol as roots of hypergeometric functions. This realization leads to simple necessary and sufficient conditions on the symbol to exhibit extremal non-compactness, establishes equivalence of cohyponormality and cosubnormality of composition operators with linear fractional symbol, and yields a complete classification of those linear fractional that induce composition operators whose norms are determined by the action of the adjoint on the normalized reproducing kernels in the Hardy space.
In this paper we prove an invertibility criterion for certain operators which is given as a linear algebraic combination of Toeplitz operators and Fourier multipliers acting on the Hardy space of the unit disc. Very similar to the case of Toeplitz operators we prove that such operators are invertible if and only if they are Fredholm and their Fredholm index is zero. As an application we prove that for "quasi-parabolic" composition operators the spectra and the essential spectra are equal.
The main purpose of this paper is to discuss Hardy type spaces, Bloch type spaces and the composition operators of complex-valued harmonic functions. We first establish a sharp estimate of the Lipschitz continuity of complex-valued harmonic functions in Bloch type spaces with respect to the pseudo-hyperbolic metric, which gives an answer to an open problem. Then some classes of composition operators on Bloch and Hardy type spaces will be investigated. The obtained results improve and extend some corresponding known results.
In \cite{CO-Tp-spaces}, the present authors initiated the study of composition operators on discrete analogue of generalized Hardy space $\mathbb{T}_{p}$ defined on a homogeneous rooted tree. In this article, we give equivalent conditions for the composition operator $C_ϕ$ to be bounded on $\mathbb{T}_{p}$ and on $\mathbb{T}_{p,0}$ spaces and compute their operator norm. We also characterize invertible composition operators as well as isometric composition operators on $\mathbb{T}_{p}$ and on $\mathbb{T}_{p,0}$ spaces. Also, we discuss the compactness of $C_ϕ$ on $\mathbb{T}_{p}$ and finally p…

This paper provides a complete characterization of quasicontractive $C_0$-semigroups on Hardy and Dirichlet space with a prescribed generator of the form $Af=Gf'$. We show that such semigroups are semigroups of composition operators and we give simple sufficient and necessary condition on $G$. Our techniques are based on ideas from semigroup theory, such as the use of numerical ranges.
In this paper, we develop the foundations of the theory of quasiregular mappings in general metric measure spaces. In particular, nine definitions of quasiregularity for a discrete open mapping with locally bounded multiplicity are proved to be quantitatively equivalent when the metric measure spaces have locally bounded geometry. We also demonstrate that some, though not all, of these implications remain true under fairly general hypotheses. The major new tool appeared in our approach is a powerful factorization, termed the pullback factorization, of a quasiregular mapping into the compositio…
In this article we study the Cesàro operator $$ \mathcal{C}(f)(z)=\frac{1}{z}\int_{0}^{z}f(ζ)\,dζ, $$ and its companion operator $\mathcal{T}$ on Hardy spaces of the upper half plane. We identify $\mathcal{C}$ and $\mathcal{T}$ as resolvents for appropriate semigroups of composition operators and we find the norm and the spectrum in each case. The relation of $\mathcal{C}$ and $\mathcal{T}$ with the corresponding Cesàro operators on Lebesgue spaces $L^p(\R)$ of the boundary line is also discussed.
In this paper, we find complex symmetric composition operators on the classical Hardy space whose symbols are linear-fractional but not automorphic. In doing so, we answer a recent question of Noor, and partially answer the original problem posed by Garcia and Hammond.
We observe that local embedding problems for certain Hardy and Bergman spaces of Dirichlet series are equivalent to boundedness of a class of composition operators. Following this, we perform a careful study of such composition operators generated by polynomial symbols $φ$ on a scale of Bergman--type Hilbert spaces $\mathcal{D}_α$. We investigate the optimal $β$ such that the composition operator $\mathcal{C}_φ$ maps $\mathcal{D}_α$ boundedly into $\mathcal{D}_β$. We also prove a new embedding theorem for the non-Hilbertian Hardy space $\mathcal H^p$ into a Bergman space in the half-plane and …
We study a Toeplitz type operator $Q_μ$ between the holomorphic Hardy spaces $H^p$ and $H^q$ of the unit ball. Here the generating symbol $μ$ is assumed to a positive Borel measure. This kind of operator is related to many classical mappings acting on Hardy spaces, such as composition operators, the Volterra type integration operators and Carleson embeddings. We completely characterize the boundedness and compactness of $Q_μ:H^p\to H^q$ for the full range $1<p,q<\infty$; and also describe the membership in the Schatten classes of $H^2$. In the last section of the paper, we demonstrate the usef…
We study the boundedness of composition operators on the weighted Bergman spaces and the Hardy space over the polydisc. For arbitrary polydisc we prove the rank sufficiency theorem which, in particular, provides us with a simple criterion describing boundedness of composition operators on the spaces over the bidisc. Such a consistent characterization is obtained for the classical Bergman space over the tridisc.
We study composition operators on the Hardy space $\mathcal{H}^2$ of Dirichlet series with square summable coefficients. Our main result is a necessary condition, in terms of a Nevanlinna-type counting function, for a certain class of composition operators to be compact on $\mathcal{H}^2$. To do that we extend our notions to a Hardy space $\mathcal{H}_Λ^2$ of generalized Dirichlet series, induced in a natural way by a sequence of Beurling's primes.
It is shown that the property of being bounded below (having closed range) of weighted composition operators on Hardy and Bergman spaces can be tested by their action on a set of simple test functions, including reproducing kernels. The methods used in the analysis are based on the theory of reverse Carleson embeddings.

We give an elementary proof of a formula recently obtained by Hammond, Moorhouse, and Robbins for the adjoint of a rationally induced composition operator on the Hardy space H^2. We discuss some variants and implications of this formula, and use it to provide a sufficient condition for a rationally induced composition operator adjoint to be a compact perturbation of a weighted composition operator.
