We study the 2D-wave equation with a scaling-critical electromagnetic potential. This problem is doubly critical, because of the scaling invariance of the model and the singularities of the potentials, which are not locally integrable. In particular, the diamagnetic phenomenon allows to consider negative electric potential which can be singular in the same fashion as the inverse-square potential. We prove sharp time-decay estimates in the purely magnetic case, and Strichartz estimates for the complete model, involving a critical electromagnetic field.
We prove dispersive estimates at high frequency in dimension two for both the wave and the Schrodinger groupes for a very large class of real-valued potentials.
We consider surface quasi-geostrophic equation with dispersive forcing and critical dissipation. We prove global existence of smooth solutions given sufficiently smooth initial data. This is done using a maximum principle for the solutions involving conservation of a certain family of moduli of continuity.

This paper is devoted to the study of time-dependent hyperbolic systems and the derivation of dispersive estimates for their solutions. It is based on a diagonalisation of the full symbol within adapted symbol classes in order to extract the essential information about representations of solutions. This is combined with a multi-dimensional van der Corput lemma to derive dispersive estimates.
In this note we provide dispersive estimates for Fourier integrals with parameter-dependent phase functions in terms of geometric quantities of associated families of Fresnel surfaces. The results are based on a multi-dimensional van der Corput lemma due to the first author. Applications to dispersive estimates for hyperbolic systems and scalar higher order hyperbolic equations are also discussed.
We consider radial solutions to the Cauchy problem for the linear wave equation with a small short-range electromagnetic potential (the "square version" of the massless Dirac equation with a potential) and zero initial data. We prove two a priori estimates that imply, in particular, a dispersive estimate.
The aim of these notes is to describe some recent results concerning dispersive estimates for principally normal pseudodifferential operators. The main motivation for this comes from unique continuation problems. Such estimates can be used to prove Carleman inequalities, which in turn yield unique continuation results for various partial differential operators with rough potentials.
We prove a dispersive estimate for the solutions of the linearized Water-Waves equations in dimension 1 in presence of a flat bottom. We prove a decay with respect to time t of order 1/3 for solutions with initial data in weighted Sobolev spaces. We also give variants to this result with different decays for a more convenient use of the dispersive estimate. We then give an existence result for the full Water-Waves equations in weighted spaces for practical uses of the proven dispersive estimates.

The initial value problem for the homogeneous Schrödinger equation is investigated for radially symmetric initial data with slow decay rates and not too wild oscillations. Our global wellposedness results apply to initial data for which Strichartz estimates fail.

The aim of this article is to give an alternative proof of Tataru's dispersive estimates for wave equations posed on the hyperbolic space. Based on the formula for the wave kernel on hyperbolic spaces, in \cite{MR2743652}, we give the proof from the perspective of Bessel potentials, by exploiting various facts about Gamma functions, modified Bessel functions, and Bessel potentials. This leads to our proof being more self-contained than that in Tataru \cite{MR1804518}.
The purpose of this article is twofold. First we give a very robust method for proving sharp time decay estimates for the most classical three models of dispersive Partial Differential Equations, the wave, Klein-Gordon and Schr{ö}dinger equations, on curved geometries, showing under very general assumptions the exact same decay as for the Euclidean case. Then we also extend these decay properties to the case of boundary value problems.
The aim of this article is to extend previous works about the asymptotics of an ill-prepared fast rotating, highly stratified incompressible Navier-Stokes system. Thanks to improved Strichartz estimates, we are able not only to cover a case which was unanswered in our previous work (allowing bigger ill-prepared initial data) but also to reduce some assumptions on the initial data. In passing we also widen the range of some parameters and compare two methods to obtain dispersive estimates.
We prove a dispersive estimate for the evolution of Schroedinger operators H = -Δ+ V(x) in three dimensions. The potential should belong to the closure of bounded compactly-supported functions with respect to the golbal Kato norm. Some additional spectral conditions are imposed, namely that no resonances or eigenfunctions of H exist anywhere on the positive half-line. The proof is an application of a new version of Wiener's L^1 inversion theorem.
In this work, we obtain decay bounds for a class of ID dispersive equations that includes the linearized water wave. These decay bounds display a surprising growth factor, which we show is sharp, The proofs rely on careful analysis of certain oscillatory integral operators. In addition, these results have applications to the linearized water wave operator for low regularity data.

We prove a dispersive estimate for the time-independent Schrodinger operator H = -Δ+ V in three dimensions. The potential V(x) is assumed to lie in the intersection L^p(R^3) \cap L^q(R^3), p < 3/2 < q, and also to satisfy a generic zero-energy spectral condition. This class, which includes potentials that have pointwise decay |V(x)| < C(1+|x|)^{-2-ε}, is nearly critical with respect to the natural scaling of the Laplacian. No additional regularity, decay, or positivity of V is assumed.
We consider the Schroedinger operator in R^3 with N point interactions placed at Y=(y_1, ... ,y_N), y_j in R^3, of strength a=(a_1, ... ,a_N). Exploiting the spectral theorem and the rather explicit expression for the resolvent we prove a (weighted) dispersive estimate for the corresponding Schroedinger flow. We prove several dispersive estimates for the linear part of the Full Dispersion Kadomtsev-Petviashvili introduced by David Lannes to overcome some shortcomings of the classical Kadomtsev-Petviashvili equations. The proof of these estimates combines the stationary phase method with sharp asymptotics on asymmetric Bessel functions, which may be of independent interest. As a consequence, we prove that the initial value problem associated to the Full Dispersion Kadomtsev-Petviashvili is locally well-posed in $H^s(\mathbb R^2)$, for $s>\frac74$, in the capillary-gravity setting.
We study the dispersive behaviors of two-particles Schrödinger and wave equations in the Aharonov-Bohm field. In particular, we prove the Strichartz estimates for Schrödinger and wave equations in this setting. The key point is to construct spectral measure of Schrödinger operator with an Aharonov-Bohm type potential in $\R^4$. As applications, we finally prove a scattering theory for the nonlinear defocusing subcritical two-particles Schrödinger equation with Aharonov-Bohm potential.
In this article we consider variable coefficient, time-dependent wave equations. Using phase space methods we construct outgoing parametrices and prove Strichartz-type estimates globally in time. This is done in the context of C^2 metrics which satisfy a weak aymptotic flatness condition at infinity.
The present paper is dedicated to the proof of dispersive estimates on stratified Lie groups of step 2, for the linear Schrödinger equation involving a sublaplacian. It turns out that the propagator behaves like a wave operator on a space of the same dimension p as the center of the group, and like a Schrödinger operator on a space of the same dimension k as the radical of the canonical skew-symmetric form, which suggests a decay with exponant -(k+p-1)/2. Consider a bounded solution of the focusing, energy-critical wave equation that does not scatter to a linear solution. We prove that this solution converges in some weak sense, along a sequence of times and up to scaling and space translation, to a sum of solitary waves. This result is a consequence of a new general compactness/rigidity argument based on profile decomposition. We also give an application of this method to the energy-critical Schrödinger equation.
We consider the problem of establishing nonlinear smoothing as a general feature of nonlinear dispersive equations, i.e. the improved regularity of the integral term in Duhamel's formula, with respect to the initial data and the corresponding regularity of the linear evolution, and how this property relates to local well-posedness. We obtain estimates for the resolvent of the discrete operator and prove that it satisfies the limiting absorption principle. This paper is a survey article of results and arguments from several of authors' papers, and it describes a new approach to global smoothing problems for dispersive and non-dispersive evolution equations based on ideas of comparison principle and canonical transforms. For operators $a(D_x)$ of order $m$ satisfying the dispersiveness condition $\nabla a(ξ)\neq0$, a range of smoothing estimates is established. We prove smoothing estimates for Schrödinger equations $i\partial_t ϕ+\partial_x (a(x) \partial_x ϕ) =0$ with $a(x)\in \mathrm{BV}$, the space of functions with bounded total variation, real, positive and bounded from below. We then bootstrap these estimates to obtain optimal Strichartz and maximal function estimates, all of which turn out to be identical to the constant coefficient case. We also provide counterexamples showing $a\in \mathrm{BV}$ to be a minimal requirement. Finally, we provide an application to sharp wellposedness for a generalized Benjamin-Ono equation.
We revisit the proof of Landau damping near stable homogenous equilibria of Vlasov-Poisson systems with screened interactions in the whole space $\mathbb{R}^d$ (for $d\geq3$) that was first established by Bedrossian, Masmoudi and Mouhot.
