In this paper we prove two-weighted norm estimates for higher order commutator of singular integral and fractional type operators between weighted $L^p$ and certain spaces that include Lipschitz, BMO and Morrey spaces. We also give the optimal parameters involved with these results, where the optimality is understood in the sense that the parameters defining the corresponding spaces belong to certain region out of which the classes of weights are satisfied by trivial weights. We also exhibit pairs of non-trivial weights in the optimal region satisfying the conditions required.
This paper gives new two-weight bump conditions for the sparse operators related to iterated commutators of fractional integrals. As applications, the two-weight bounds for iterated commutators of fractional integrals under more general bump conditions are obtained. Meanwhile, the necessity of two-weight bump conditions as well as the converse of Bloom type estimates for iterated commutators of fractional integrals are also given.
We give new and elementary proofs of one weight norm inequalities for fractional integral operators and commutators. Our proofs are based on the machinery of dyadic grids and sparse operators used in the proof of the A2 conjecture.
In this article, we show that multilinear fractional type operators are bounded from product Hardy spaces with variable exponents into Lebesgue spaces with variable exponents via the atomic decomposition theory. We also study continuity properties of commutators of multilinear fractional type operators on product of certain Hardy spaces with variable exponents.
Commutators of a large class of bilinear operators and multiplication by functions in a certain subspace of the space of functions of bounded mean oscillations are shown to be jointly compact. Under a similar commutation, fractional integral versions of the bilinear Hilbert transform yield separately compact operators.
In this paper we prove two matrix weighted norm inequalities for the commutator of a fractional integral operator and multiplication by a matrix symbol. More precisely, we extend the recent results of the second author, Pott, and Treil on two matrix weighted norm inequalities for commutators of Calderon-Zygmund operators and multiplication by a matrix symbol to the fractional integral operator setting. In particular, we completely extend the fractional Bloom theory of Holmes, Rahm, and Spencer to the two matrix weighted setting with a matrix
In these lecture notes we describe some recent work on two weight norm inequalities for fractional integral operators, also known as Riesz potentials, and for commutators of fractional integrals. These notes are based on three lectures delivered at the 6th International Course of Mathematical Analysis in Andalucia, held in Antequera, Spain, September 8-12, 2014. They are, however, greatly expanded to include both new results and many details that I did not present in my lectures due to time constraints.
Let $0<α<n$ and $I_α$ be the fractional integral operator. In this paper, we shall use a unified approach to show some boundedness properties of commutators $[b,I_α]$ on the weighted Morrey spaces $L^{p,κ}(w)$ under appropriate conditions on the weight $w$, where the symbol $b$ belongs to weighted $BMO$ or Lipschitz space or weighted Lipschitz space.
In this paper we prove several weighted estimates for bilinear fractional integral operators and their commutators with BMO functions. We also prove maximal function control theorem for these operators, that is, we prove the weighted $L^p$ norm is bounded by the weighted $L^p$ norm of a natural maximal operator when the weight belongs to $A_\infty$. As a corollary we are able to obtain new weighted estimates for the bilinear maximal function associated to the bilinear Hilbert transform.
Let $L$ be the infinitesimal generator of an analytic semigroup on $L^2(\mathbb R^n)$ with Gaussian kernel bound, and let $L^{-α/2}$ be the fractional integrals of $L$ for $0<α<n$. In this paper, we will obtain some boundedness properties of commutators $\big[b,L^{-α/2}\big]$ on the weighted Morrey spaces $L^{p,κ}(w)$ when the symbol $b$ belongs to $BMO(\mathbb R^n)$ or homogeneous Lipschitz space.
Let $I_α$ be the linear and $\mathcal{I}_α$ be the bilinear fractional integral operators. In the linear setting, it is known that the two-weight inequality holds for the first order commutators of $I_α$. But the method can't be used to obtain the two weighted norm inequality for the higher order commutators of $I_α$. In this paper, we first give an alternative proof for the first order commutators of $I_α$. This new approach allows us to consider the higher order commutators. This was done by showing that the commutator $[b,I_α]$ can be represented as a finite linear combination of some parap…
Let $0<α<n$ and $M_α$ be the fractional maximal function. The nonlinear commutator of $M_α$ and a locally integrable function $b$ is given by $[b,M_α](f)=bM_α(f)-M_α(bf)$. In this paper, we mainly give some necessary and sufficient conditions for the boundedness of $[b,M_α]$ on variable Lebesgue spaces when $b$ belongs to Lipschitz or $BMO(\rn)$ spaces, by which some new characterizations for certain subclasses of Lipschitz and $BMO(\rn)$ spaces are obtained.
In this paper, we first introduce some new Morrey type spaces containing generalized Morrey space and weighted Morrey space with two weights as special cases. Then we give the weighted strong type and weak type estimates for fractional integral operators $I_α$ in these new Morrey type spaces. Furthermore, the weighted strong type estimate and endpoint estimate of linear commutators $[b,I_α]$ formed by $b$ and $I_α$ are established. Also we study related problems about two-weight, weak type inequalities for $I_α$ and $[b,I_α]$ in the Morrey type spaces and give partial results.
In this paper we study the commutators of fractional type integral operators. This operators are given by kernels of theform $$K(x,y)=k_1(x-A_1y)k_2(x-A_2y)\dots k_m(x-A_my),$$ where $A_i$ are invertibles matrices and each $k_i$ satisfies a fractional size condition and generalized fractional Hörmander condition. We obtain weighted Coifman estimates, weighted $L^p(w^p)$ - $L^q(w^q)$ estimates and weighted BMO estimates. We also give a two weight strong estimate for pair of weights of the form $(u,Su)$ where $u$ is an arbitrary non-negative function and $S$ is a maximal operator depending on th…
This paper mainly dedicates to prove a plethora of weighted estimates on Morrey spaces for bilinear fractional integral operators and their general commutators with BMO functions of the form $$B_α(f,g)(x)=\int_{\mathbb{R}^{n}}\frac{f(x-y)g(x+y)}{|y|^{n-α}}dy,\qquad 0<α<n.$$ We also prove some maximal function control theorems for these operators, that is, the weighted Morrey norm is bounded by the weighted Morrey norm of a natural maximal operator when the weight belongs to $A_{\infty}$. As a corollary, some new weighted estimates for the bilinear maximal function associated to the bilinear Hi…
In this paper we provide quantitative Bloom type estimates for iterated commutators of fractional integrals improving and extending results from a work of Holmes, Rahm and Spencer. We give new proofs for those inequalities relying upon a new sparse domination that we provide as well in this paper and also in techniques developed in a recent paper due to Lerner, Ombrosi and the third author. We extend as well the necessity established in the work of Holmes, Rahm and Spencer to iterated commutators providing a new proof. As a consequence of the preceding results we recover the one weight estimat…
In this paper, the following iterated commutators $T_{*,Πb}$ of maximal operator for multilinear singular integral operators and $I_{α, Πb}$ of multilinear fractional integral operator are introduced and studied $$\aligned T_{*,Πb}(\vec{f})(x)&=\sup_{δ>0}\bigg|[b_1,[b_2,...[b_{m-1},[b_m,T_δ]_m]_{m-1}...]_2]_1 (\vec{f})(x)\bigg|,$$ $$\aligned I_{α, Πb}(\vec{f})(x)&=[b_1,[b_2,...[b_{m-1},[b_m,I_α]_m]_{m-1}...]_2]_1 (\vec{f})(x),$$ where $T_δ$ are the smooth truncations of the multilinear singular integral operators and $I_α$ is the multilinear fractional integral operator, $b_i\in BMO$ for $i=1,…
We deal with the boundedness properties of higher order commutators related to some generalizations of the multilinear fractional integral operator of order $m$, $I_α^m$, from a product of weighted Lebesgue spaces into adequate weighted Lipschitz spaces, extending some previous estimates for the linear case. Our study includes two different types of commutators and sufficient conditions on the weights in order to guarantee the continuity properties described above. We also exhibit the optimal range of the parameters involved. The optimality is understood in the sense that the parameters defini…
Let $0<γ<n$ and $I_γ$ be the fractional integral operator of order $γ$, $I_γf(x)=\int_{\mathbb R^n}|x-y|^{γ-n}f(y)\,dy$, and let $[b,I_γ]$ be the linear commutator generated by a symbol function $b$ and $I_γ$, $[b,I_γ]f(x)=b(x)\cdot I_γf(x)-I_γ(bf)(x)$. This paper is concerned with two-weight, weak type norm estimates for such operators on the weighted Morrey and amalgam spaces. Based on weak-type norm inequalities on weighted Lebesgue spaces and certain $A_p$-type conditions on pairs of weights, we can establish the weak-type norm inequalities for fractional integral operator $I_γ$ as well as…
In this paper we investigate weighted norm inequalities for the commutator of a fractional integral operator and multiplication by a function. In particular, we show that, for $μ,λ\in A_{p,q}$ and $α/n+1/q=1/p$, the norm $\| [b,I_α]:L^p(μ^p)\to L^q(λ^q) \|$ is equivalent to the norm of $b$ in the weighted BMO space $BMO(ν)$, where $ν=μλ^{-1}$. This work extends some of the results on this topic existing in the literature, and continues a line of investigation which was initiated by Bloom in 1985 and was recently developed further by the first author, Lacey, and Wick.
Smoothness properties related to several commutators of fractional operators for values of $\boldsymbol{p}$ beyond the extreme in the multilinear setting
In this paper, we first introduce some new classes of weighted amalgam spaces. Then we give the weighted strong-type and weak-type estimates for fractional integral operators $I_γ$ on these new function spaces. Furthermore, the weighted strong-type estimate and endpoint estimate of linear commutators $[b,I_γ]$ generated by $b$ and $I_γ$ are established as well. In addition, we are going to study related problems about two-weight, weak type inequalities for $I_γ$ and $[b,I_γ]$ on the weighted amalgam spaces and give some results. Based on these results and pointwise domination, we can prove nor…
Characterizations for multilinear fractional maximal and integral operators and their commutators on generalized weighted Morrey spaces and applications
Let $({\mathcal X},d,μ)$ be a metric measure space satisfying both the upper doubling and the geometrically doubling conditions. In this paper, the authors establish some equivalent characterizations for the boundedness of fractional integrals over $({\mathcal X},d,μ)$. The authors also prove that multilinear commutators of fractional integrals with ${\mathop\mathrm{\,RBMO(μ)}}$ functions are bounded on Orlicz spaces over $({\mathcal X},d,μ)$, which include Lebesgue spaces as special cases. The weak type endpoint estimates for multilinear commutators of fractional integrals with functions in t…
We prove new sufficient bump conditions for general iterated commutators of Calderón-Zygmund operators and fractional integral operators. As an application of our results we derive two weight compactness theorems for higher order iterated commutators with a $CMO$ function.
Let $dγ(x)\equivπ^{-n/2}e^{-|x|^2}dx$ for all $x\in{\mathbb R}^n$ be the Gauss measure on ${\mathbb R}^n$. In this paper, the authors establish the characterizations of the space BMO$(γ)$ of Mauceri and Meda via commutators of either local fractional integral operators or local fractional maximal operators. To this end, the authors first prove that such a local fractional integral operator of order $β$ is bounded from $L^p(γ)$ to $L^{p/(1-pβ)}(γ)$, or from the Hardy space $H^1(γ)$ of Mauceri and Meda to $L^{1/(1-β)}(γ)$ or from $L^{1/β}(γ)$ to BMO$(γ)$, where $β\in(0, 1)$ and $p\in(1, 1/β)$.
In this paper, we establish a new characterization of weighted $\rm{VMO}$ spaces, which are essential different from the classical $\rm{VMO}$ spaces, via the compactness of sparse operators, commutators of Riesz potentials and fractional maximal operators. Some of our results are new even in unweighted setting.
In this paper we characterize BMO in terms of the boundedness of commutators of various bilinear singular integral operators with pointwise multiplication. In particular, we study commutators of a wide class of bilinear operators of convolution type, including bilinear Calderón-Zygmund operators and the bilinear fractional integral operators.
This master thesis is based on the paper "Sharp commutator estimates via harmonic extensions" by Lenzmann and Schikorra, in which they proposed a method to prove estimates for commutators involving Riesz transforms, fractional Laplacians and Riesz potentials, see arXiv:1609.08547. These proofs only involve harmonic extensions to the upper half-space and integration by parts next to some elementary transfromations, since the deeper theory is concentrated in a variety of trace characterization results which can be used as a blackbox. In the first half of this thesis, after collecting some elemen…
In this paper, the author studies the boundedness for a large class of sublinear operator $T_α, α\in[0,n)$ generated by Calder{ó}n-Zygmund operators ($α=0$) and generated by fractional integral operator ($α>0$) on generalized mixed Morrey spaces $M^φ_{\vec{q}}(\Bbb R^n)$. Moreover, the boundeness for the commutators of $T_α, α\in[0,n)$ on generalized mixed Morrey spaces $M^φ_{\vec{q}}(\Bbb R^n)$ is also studied. As applications, we obtain the boundedness for Hardy-Littlewood maximal operator, Calderón-Zygmund singular integral operators, fractional integral operator, fractional maximal operato…

In this paper, the main aim is to consider the boundedness of commutators of multilinear Calderón-Zygmund operators with Lipschitz functions in the context of the variable exponent Lebesgue spaces. Furthermore, the variable versions of the Lipschitz spaces are also discussed, and with the help of a key tool of a pointwise estimate involving the sharp maximal operator of the multilinear fractional commutator and certain associated maximal operators.
Let $L=-Δ+V$ with non-negative potential $V$ satisfying some appropriate reverse Hölder inequality. In this paper, we study the boundedness of the commutators of some singular integrals associated to $L$ such as Riesz transforms and fractional integrals with the new BMO functions introduced in \cite{BHS1} on the weighted spaces $L^p(w)$ where $w$ belongs to the new classes of weights introduced by \cite{BHS2}.
Let $M_{Ω,α}$ and $T_{Ω,α}$ be the fractional maximal and integral operators with rough kernels, where $0<α<n$. In this paper, we shall study the continuity properties of $M_{Ω,α}$ and $T_{Ω,α}$ on the weighted Morrey spaces $L^{p,κ}(w)$. The boundedness of their commutators with BMO functions is also obtained.
Let $\T (0\leq α<n)$ be the singular and fractional integrals with variable kernel $Ω(x,z)$, and $[b,\T]$ be the commutator generated by $\T$ and a Lipschitz function $b$. In this paper, the authors study the boundedness of $[b,\T]$ on the Hardy spaces, under some assumptions such as the $L^r$-Dini condition. Similar results and the weak type estimates at the end-point cases are also given for the homogeneous convolution operators $\tT (0\leq α<n)$. The smoothness conditions imposed on $\tOmega$ are weaker than the corresponding known results.
Let $(X,d,μ)$ be a non-homogeneous metric measure space satisfying both the geometrically doubling and the upper doubling measure conditions. In this paper, the boundedness of multilinear fractional integral operator in this setting is proved. Via a sharp maximal operator, the boundedness of commutators generated by multilinear fractional integral operator with $RBMO(μ)$ function on non-homogeneous metric measure spaces in Lebesgue spaces is obtained.
Let $α\in (0, 1]$, $β\in [0, n)$ and $T_{Ω,β}$ be a singular or fractional integral operator with homogeneous kernel $Ω$. In this article, a CMO type space ${\rm CMO}_α(\mathbb R^n)$ is introduced and studied. In particular, the relationship between ${\rm CMO}_α(\mathbb R^n)$ and the Lipchitz space $Lip_α(\mathbb R^n)$ is discussed. Moreover, a necessary condition of restricted boundedness of the iterated commutator $(T_{Ω,β})^m_b$ on weighted Lebesgue spaces via functions in $Lip_α(\mathbb R^n)$, and an equivalent characterization of the compactness for $(T_{Ω,β})^m_b$ via functions in ${\rm …
The goal of this note is to give, at least for a restricted range of indices, a short proof of homogeneous commutator estimates for fractional derivatives of a product, using classical tools. Both $L^{p}$ and weighted $L^{p}$ estimates can be proved by the same argument. When the space dimension is 1, we obtain some new estimates in the unexplored range $1/3<r\le1/2$.
We prove weighted norm inequalities for fractional powers of elliptic operators together with their commutators with BMO functions, encompassing what is known for the classical Riesz potentials and elliptic operators with Gaussian domination by the classical heat operator. The method relies upon a good-$λ$ method that does not use any size or smoothness estimates for the kernels.
We give a proof of commutator estimates for fractional powers of the sublaplacian on the Heisenberg group. Our approach is based on pointwise and $L^p$ estimates involving square fractional integrals and Littlewood-Paley square functions.
Let $\mathcal L=-Δ+V$ be a Schrödinger operator on $\mathbb R^d$, $d\geq3$, where $Δ$ is the Laplacian operator on $\mathbb R^d$ and the nonnegative potential $V$ belongs to the reverse Hölder class $RH_s$ for $s\geq d/2$. For given $0<α<d$, the fractional integrals associated to the Schrödinger operator $\mathcal L$ is defined by $\mathcal I_α={\mathcal L}^{-α/2}$.Suppose that $b$ is a locally integrable function on $\mathbb R^d$, the commutator generated by $b$ and $\mathcal I_α$ is defined by $[b,\mathcal I_α]f(x)=b(x)\cdot \mathcal I_αf(x)-\mathcal I_α(bf)(x)$. In this paper, we first intr…
We give an alternative proof of several sharp commutator estimates involving Riesz transforms, Riesz potentials, and fractional Laplacians. Our methods only involve harmonic extensions to the upper half-space, integration by parts, and trace space characterizations. The commutators we investigate are Jacobians, more generally Coifman-Rochberg-Weiss commutators, Chanillo's commutator with the Riesz potential, Coifman-Meyer or Kato-Ponce-Vega type commutators, and the Da Lio-Rivière three-term commutators. We also give a new limiting $L^1$-estimate for a double commutator of Coifman-Rochberg-Wei…
We give a constructive proof of the factorization theorem for the classical Hardy space in terms of fractional integral operator. Moreover, the result is extended to the multilinear case and weighted case. As an application, we obtain the characterization of $BMO$ via the weighted boundedness of commutators of the multilinear fractional integral operator, without individual conditions on the weights class.
