Let $({\mathcal X},d,μ)$ be a metric measure space satisfying both the upper doubling and the geometrically doubling conditions. In this paper, the authors establish some equivalent characterizations for the boundedness of fractional integrals over $({\mathcal X},d,μ)$. The authors also prove that multilinear commutators of fractional integrals with ${\mathop\mathrm{\,RBMO(μ)}}$ functions are bounded on Orlicz spaces over $({\mathcal X},d,μ)$, which include Lebesgue spaces as special cases. The weak type endpoint estimates for multilinear commutators of fractional integrals with functions in the Orlicz-type space ${\mathrm{Osc}_{\exp L^r}(μ)}$, where $r\in [1,\infty)$, are also presented. Finally, all these results are applied to a specific example of fractional integrals over non-homogeneous metric measure spaces.
We study the two weight quantitative estimates for the commutator of maximal functions and the maximal commutators with respect to the symbol in weighted BMO space on spaces of homogeneous type. These commutators turn out to be controlled by the sparse operators in the setting of space of homogeneous type. The lower bound of the maximal commutator is also obtained.
Characterizations for multilinear fractional maximal and integral operators and their commutators on generalized weighted Morrey spaces and applications
Let $dγ(x)\equivπ^{-n/2}e^{-|x|^2}dx$ for all $x\in{\mathbb R}^n$ be the Gauss measure on ${\mathbb R}^n$. In this paper, the authors establish the characterizations of the space BMO$(γ)$ of Mauceri and Meda via commutators of either local fractional integral operators or local fractional maximal operators. To this end, the authors first prove that such a local fractional integral operator of order $β$ is bounded from $L^p(γ)$ to $L^{p/(1-pβ)}(γ)$, or from the Hardy space $H^1(γ)$ of Mauceri and Meda to $L^{1/(1-β)}(γ)$ or from $L^{1/β}(γ)$ to BMO$(γ)$, where $β\in(0, 1)$ and $p\in(1, 1/β)$.
This paper gives new two-weight bump conditions for the sparse operators related to iterated commutators of fractional integrals. As applications, the two-weight bounds for iterated commutators of fractional integrals under more general bump conditions are obtained. Meanwhile, the necessity of two-weight bump conditions as well as the converse of Bloom type estimates for iterated commutators of fractional integrals are also given.
In this paper, the author studies the boundedness for a large class of sublinear operator $T_α, α\in[0,n)$ generated by Calder{ó}n-Zygmund operators ($α=0$) and generated by fractional integral operator ($α>0$) on generalized mixed Morrey spaces $M^φ_{\vec{q}}(\Bbb R^n)$. Moreover, the boundeness for the commutators of $T_α, α\in[0,n)$ on generalized mixed Morrey spaces $M^φ_{\vec{q}}(\Bbb R^n)$ is also studied. As applications, we obtain the boundedness for Hardy-Littlewood maximal operator, Calderón-Zygmund singular integral operators, fractional integral operator, fractional maximal operato…
We give new and elementary proofs of one weight norm inequalities for fractional integral operators and commutators. Our proofs are based on the machinery of dyadic grids and sparse operators used in the proof of the A2 conjecture.

In this article, we show that multilinear fractional type operators are bounded from product Hardy spaces with variable exponents into Lebesgue spaces with variable exponents via the atomic decomposition theory. We also study continuity properties of commutators of multilinear fractional type operators on product of certain Hardy spaces with variable exponents.
Commutators of a large class of bilinear operators and multiplication by functions in a certain subspace of the space of functions of bounded mean oscillations are shown to be jointly compact. Under a similar commutation, fractional integral versions of the bilinear Hilbert transform yield separately compact operators.
In this paper we prove two matrix weighted norm inequalities for the commutator of a fractional integral operator and multiplication by a matrix symbol. More precisely, we extend the recent results of the second author, Pott, and Treil on two matrix weighted norm inequalities for commutators of Calderon-Zygmund operators and multiplication by a matrix symbol to the fractional integral operator setting. In particular, we completely extend the fractional Bloom theory of Holmes, Rahm, and Spencer to the two matrix weighted setting with a matrix
In these lecture notes we describe some recent work on two weight norm inequalities for fractional integral operators, also known as Riesz potentials, and for commutators of fractional integrals. These notes are based on three lectures delivered at the 6th International Course of Mathematical Analysis in Andalucia, held in Antequera, Spain, September 8-12, 2014. They are, however, greatly expanded to include both new results and many details that I did not present in my lectures due to time constraints.
Let $0<α<n$ and $I_α$ be the fractional integral operator. In this paper, we shall use a unified approach to show some boundedness properties of commutators $[b,I_α]$ on the weighted Morrey spaces $L^{p,κ}(w)$ under appropriate conditions on the weight $w$, where the symbol $b$ belongs to weighted $BMO$ or Lipschitz space or weighted Lipschitz space.
In this paper we prove several weighted estimates for bilinear fractional integral operators and their commutators with BMO functions. We also prove maximal function control theorem for these operators, that is, we prove the weighted $L^p$ norm is bounded by the weighted $L^p$ norm of a natural maximal operator when the weight belongs to $A_\infty$. As a corollary we are able to obtain new weighted estimates for the bilinear maximal function associated to the bilinear Hilbert transform.
Let $L$ be the infinitesimal generator of an analytic semigroup on $L^2(\mathbb R^n)$ with Gaussian kernel bound, and let $L^{-α/2}$ be the fractional integrals of $L$ for $0<α<n$. In this paper, we will obtain some boundedness properties of commutators $\big[b,L^{-α/2}\big]$ on the weighted Morrey spaces $L^{p,κ}(w)$ when the symbol $b$ belongs to $BMO(\mathbb R^n)$ or homogeneous Lipschitz space.
Let $I_α$ be the linear and $\mathcal{I}_α$ be the bilinear fractional integral operators. In the linear setting, it is known that the two-weight inequality holds for the first order commutators of $I_α$. But the method can't be used to obtain the two weighted norm inequality for the higher order commutators of $I_α$. In this paper, we first give an alternative proof for the first order commutators of $I_α$. This new approach allows us to consider the higher order commutators. This was done by showing that the commutator $[b,I_α]$ can be represented as a finite linear combination of some parap…
Let $0<α<n$ and $M_α$ be the fractional maximal function. The nonlinear commutator of $M_α$ and a locally integrable function $b$ is given by $[b,M_α](f)=bM_α(f)-M_α(bf)$. In this paper, we mainly give some necessary and sufficient conditions for the boundedness of $[b,M_α]$ on variable Lebesgue spaces when $b$ belongs to Lipschitz or $BMO(\rn)$ spaces, by which some new characterizations for certain subclasses of Lipschitz and $BMO(\rn)$ spaces are obtained.
Let $(\mathcal{X},d,μ)$ be a metric measure space satisfying the so-called upper doubling condition and the geometrically doubling condition. Let $T$ be a Calderón-Zygmund operator with kernel satisfying only the size condition and some Hörmander-type condition, and $b\in\rm{\widetilde{RBMO}(μ)}$ (the regularized BMO space with the discrete coefficient). In this paper, the authors establish the boundedness of the commutator $T_b:=bT-Tb$ generated by $T$ and $b$ from the atomic Hardy space $\widetilde{H}^1(μ)$ with the discrete coefficient into the weak Lebesgue space $L^{1,\,\infty}(μ)$. The b…
In this paper we prove two-weighted norm estimates for higher order commutator of singular integral and fractional type operators between weighted $L^p$ and certain spaces that include Lipschitz, BMO and Morrey spaces. We also give the optimal parameters involved with these results, where the optimality is understood in the sense that the parameters defining the corresponding spaces belong to certain region out of which the classes of weights are satisfied by trivial weights. We also exhibit pairs of non-trivial weights in the optimal region satisfying the conditions required.
In this paper, we first introduce some new Morrey type spaces containing generalized Morrey space and weighted Morrey space with two weights as special cases. Then we give the weighted strong type and weak type estimates for fractional integral operators $I_α$ in these new Morrey type spaces. Furthermore, the weighted strong type estimate and endpoint estimate of linear commutators $[b,I_α]$ formed by $b$ and $I_α$ are established. Also we study related problems about two-weight, weak type inequalities for $I_α$ and $[b,I_α]$ in the Morrey type spaces and give partial results.
In this paper we study the commutators of fractional type integral operators. This operators are given by kernels of theform $$K(x,y)=k_1(x-A_1y)k_2(x-A_2y)\dots k_m(x-A_my),$$ where $A_i$ are invertibles matrices and each $k_i$ satisfies a fractional size condition and generalized fractional Hörmander condition. We obtain weighted Coifman estimates, weighted $L^p(w^p)$ - $L^q(w^q)$ estimates and weighted BMO estimates. We also give a two weight strong estimate for pair of weights of the form $(u,Su)$ where $u$ is an arbitrary non-negative function and $S$ is a maximal operator depending on th…
This paper mainly dedicates to prove a plethora of weighted estimates on Morrey spaces for bilinear fractional integral operators and their general commutators with BMO functions of the form $$B_α(f,g)(x)=\int_{\mathbb{R}^{n}}\frac{f(x-y)g(x+y)}{|y|^{n-α}}dy,\qquad 0<α<n.$$ We also prove some maximal function control theorems for these operators, that is, the weighted Morrey norm is bounded by the weighted Morrey norm of a natural maximal operator when the weight belongs to $A_{\infty}$. As a corollary, some new weighted estimates for the bilinear maximal function associated to the bilinear Hi…
In this paper we provide quantitative Bloom type estimates for iterated commutators of fractional integrals improving and extending results from a work of Holmes, Rahm and Spencer. We give new proofs for those inequalities relying upon a new sparse domination that we provide as well in this paper and also in techniques developed in a recent paper due to Lerner, Ombrosi and the third author. We extend as well the necessity established in the work of Holmes, Rahm and Spencer to iterated commutators providing a new proof. As a consequence of the preceding results we recover the one weight estimat…
The recent proof of the sharp weighted bound for Calderón-Zygmund operators has led to much investigation in sharp mixed bounds for operators and commutators, that is, a sharp weighted bound that is a product of at least two different $A_p$ weight constants. The reason why these are sought after is that the product will be strictly smaller than the original one-constant bound. We prove a variety of these bounds in spaces of homogeneous type, using the new techniques of Lerner, for both operators and commutators.
In this paper, the following iterated commutators $T_{*,Πb}$ of maximal operator for multilinear singular integral operators and $I_{α, Πb}$ of multilinear fractional integral operator are introduced and studied $$\aligned T_{*,Πb}(\vec{f})(x)&=\sup_{δ>0}\bigg|[b_1,[b_2,...[b_{m-1},[b_m,T_δ]_m]_{m-1}...]_2]_1 (\vec{f})(x)\bigg|,$$ $$\aligned I_{α, Πb}(\vec{f})(x)&=[b_1,[b_2,...[b_{m-1},[b_m,I_α]_m]_{m-1}...]_2]_1 (\vec{f})(x),$$ where $T_δ$ are the smooth truncations of the multilinear singular integral operators and $I_α$ is the multilinear fractional integral operator, $b_i\in BMO$ for $i=1,…
We deal with the boundedness properties of higher order commutators related to some generalizations of the multilinear fractional integral operator of order $m$, $I_α^m$, from a product of weighted Lebesgue spaces into adequate weighted Lipschitz spaces, extending some previous estimates for the linear case. Our study includes two different types of commutators and sufficient conditions on the weights in order to guarantee the continuity properties described above. We also exhibit the optimal range of the parameters involved. The optimality is understood in the sense that the parameters defini…
Let $0<γ<n$ and $I_γ$ be the fractional integral operator of order $γ$, $I_γf(x)=\int_{\mathbb R^n}|x-y|^{γ-n}f(y)\,dy$, and let $[b,I_γ]$ be the linear commutator generated by a symbol function $b$ and $I_γ$, $[b,I_γ]f(x)=b(x)\cdot I_γf(x)-I_γ(bf)(x)$. This paper is concerned with two-weight, weak type norm estimates for such operators on the weighted Morrey and amalgam spaces. Based on weak-type norm inequalities on weighted Lebesgue spaces and certain $A_p$-type conditions on pairs of weights, we can establish the weak-type norm inequalities for fractional integral operator $I_γ$ as well as…
In this paper we investigate weighted norm inequalities for the commutator of a fractional integral operator and multiplication by a function. In particular, we show that, for $μ,λ\in A_{p,q}$ and $α/n+1/q=1/p$, the norm $\| [b,I_α]:L^p(μ^p)\to L^q(λ^q) \|$ is equivalent to the norm of $b$ in the weighted BMO space $BMO(ν)$, where $ν=μλ^{-1}$. This work extends some of the results on this topic existing in the literature, and continues a line of investigation which was initiated by Bloom in 1985 and was recently developed further by the first author, Lacey, and Wick.
In this paper we investigate the relations between (martingale) BMO spaces, paraproducts and commutators in non-homogeneous martingale settings. Some new, and one might add unexpected, results are obtained. Some alternative proof of known results are also presented.
In this paper we study the boundedness and compactness characterizations of the commutator of Calderón-Zygmund operators $T$ on spaces of homogeneous type $(X,d,μ)$ in the sense of Coifman and Weiss. More precisely, We show that the commutator $[b, T]$ is bounded on weighted Morrey space $L_ω^{p,κ}(X)$ ($κ\in(0,1), ω\in A_{p}(X), 1<p<\infty$) if and only if $b$ is in the BMO space. Moreover, the commutator $[b, T]$ is compact on weighted Morrey space $L_ω^{p,κ}(X)$ ($κ\in(0,1), ω\in A_{p}(X), 1<p<\infty$) if and only if $b$ is in the VMO space.
Smoothness properties related to several commutators of fractional operators for values of $\boldsymbol{p}$ beyond the extreme in the multilinear setting
In this paper, we first introduce some new classes of weighted amalgam spaces. Then we give the weighted strong-type and weak-type estimates for fractional integral operators $I_γ$ on these new function spaces. Furthermore, the weighted strong-type estimate and endpoint estimate of linear commutators $[b,I_γ]$ generated by $b$ and $I_γ$ are established as well. In addition, we are going to study related problems about two-weight, weak type inequalities for $I_γ$ and $[b,I_γ]$ on the weighted amalgam spaces and give some results. Based on these results and pointwise domination, we can prove nor…
In this paper, we establish the two weight commutator of Calderón--Zygmund operators in the sense of Coifman--Weiss on spaces of homogeneous type, by studying the weighted Hardy and BMO space for $A_2$ weight and by proving the sparse operator domination of commutators. The main tool here is the Haar basis and the adjacent dyadic systems on spaces of homogeneous type, and the construction of a suitable version of a sparse operator on spaces of homogeneous type. As applications, we provide a two weight commutator theorem (including the high order commutator) for the following Calderón--Zygmund …
Quantitative $A_1-A_\infty$ estimates for rough homogeneous singular integrals $T_Ω$ and commutators of $BMO$ symbols and $T_Ω$ are obtained. In particular the following estimates are proved: % \[ \|T_Ω\|_{L^p(w)}\le c_{n,p}\|Ω\|_{L^\infty} [w]_{A_1}^{\frac{1}{p}}\,[w]_{A_{\infty}}^{1+\frac{1}{p'}}\|f\|_{L^p(w)} \] % and % \[ \| [b,T_Ω]f\|_{L^{p}(w)}\leq c_{n,p}\|b\|_{BMO}\|Ω\|_{L^{\infty}} [w]_{A_1}^{\frac{1}{p}}[w]_{A_{\infty}}^{2+\frac{1}{p'}}\|f\|_{L^{p}\left(w\right)}, \] % for $1<p<\infty$ and $1/p+1/p'=1$.
This master thesis is based on the paper "Sharp commutator estimates via harmonic extensions" by Lenzmann and Schikorra, in which they proposed a method to prove estimates for commutators involving Riesz transforms, fractional Laplacians and Riesz potentials, see arXiv:1609.08547. These proofs only involve harmonic extensions to the upper half-space and integration by parts next to some elementary transfromations, since the deeper theory is concentrated in a variety of trace characterization results which can be used as a blackbox. In the first half of this thesis, after collecting some elemen…
We give a constructive proof of the factorization theorem for the classical Hardy space in terms of fractional integral operator. Moreover, the result is extended to the multilinear case and weighted case. As an application, we obtain the characterization of $BMO$ via the weighted boundedness of commutators of the multilinear fractional integral operator, without individual conditions on the weights class.
In this paper, we establish a new characterization of weighted $\rm{VMO}$ spaces, which are essential different from the classical $\rm{VMO}$ spaces, via the compactness of sparse operators, commutators of Riesz potentials and fractional maximal operators. Some of our results are new even in unweighted setting.
Let $Ω$ be homogeneous of degree zero and have mean value zero on the unit sphere ${S}^{d-1}$, $T_Ω$ be the homogeneous singular integral operator with kernel $\frac{Ω(x)}{|x|^d}$ and $T_{Ω,\,b}$ be the commutator of $T_Ω$ with symbol $b$. In this paper, we prove that if $Ω\in L(\log L)^2(S^{d-1})$, then for $b\in {\rm BMO}(\mathbb{R}^d)$, $T_{Ω,\,b}$ satisfies an endpoint estimate of $L\log L$ type.
In this paper we characterize BMO in terms of the boundedness of commutators of various bilinear singular integral operators with pointwise multiplication. In particular, we study commutators of a wide class of bilinear operators of convolution type, including bilinear Calderón-Zygmund operators and the bilinear fractional integral operators.
In this paper, the main aim is to consider the boundedness of commutators of multilinear Calderón-Zygmund operators with Lipschitz functions in the context of the variable exponent Lebesgue spaces. Furthermore, the variable versions of the Lipschitz spaces are also discussed, and with the help of a key tool of a pointwise estimate involving the sharp maximal operator of the multilinear fractional commutator and certain associated maximal operators.
Let $L=-Δ+V$ with non-negative potential $V$ satisfying some appropriate reverse Hölder inequality. In this paper, we study the boundedness of the commutators of some singular integrals associated to $L$ such as Riesz transforms and fractional integrals with the new BMO functions introduced in \cite{BHS1} on the weighted spaces $L^p(w)$ where $w$ belongs to the new classes of weights introduced by \cite{BHS2}.
We prove several sharp weighted norm inequalities for commutators of classical operators in harmonic analysis. We find sufficient $A_p$-bump conditions on pairs of weights $(u,v)$ such that $[b,T]$, $b\in BMO$ and $T$ a singular integral operator (such as the Hilbert or Riesz transforms), maps $L^p(v)$ into $L^p(u)$. Because of the added degree of singularity, the commutators require a "double log bump" as opposed to that of singular integrals, which only require single log bumps. For the fractional integral operator $I_\al$ we find the sharp one-weight bound on $[b,I_\al]$, $b\in BMO$, in ter…
Fix $λ>0$. Consider the Bessel operator $\triangle_λ:=-\frac{d^2}{dx^2}-\frac{2λ}{x} \frac d{dx}$ on $\mathbb{R_+}$, where $\mathbb{R_+}:=(0,\infty)$ and $dm_λ:=x^{2λ}dx$ with $dx$ the Lebesgue measure. We provide a deeper study of the Bessel Riesz transform and fractional integral operator via the related Besov and Triebel--Lizorkin spaces associated with $\triangle_λ$. Moreover, we investigate some possible characterization of the commutator of fractional integral operator, which was missing in the literature of the Bessel setting.
