Using the properties of geometric mean, we shall show for any $0\le α,β\le 1$, \[f\left( A{{\nabla }_{α}}B \right)\le f\left( \left( A{{\nabla }_{α}}B \right){{\nabla }_{β}}A \right){{\sharp}_{α}}f\left( \left( A{{\nabla }_{α}}B \right){{\nabla }_{β}}B \right)\le f\left( A \right){{\sharp}_{α}}f\left( B \right)\] whenever $f$ is a non-negative operator log-convex function, $A,B\in \mathcal{B}\left( \mathcal{H} \right)$ are positive operators, and $0\le α,β\le 1$. As an application of this operator mean inequality, we present several refinements of the Aujla subadditive inequality for operator monotone decreasing functions.
Also, in a similar way, we consider some inequalities of Ando's type. Among other things, it is shown that if $Φ$ is a positive linear map, then \[Φ\left( A{{\sharp}_{α}}B \right)\le Φ\left( \left( A{{\sharp}_{α}}B \right){{\sharp}_{β}}A \right){{\sharp}_{α}}Φ\left( \left( A{{\sharp}_{α}}B \right){{\sharp}_{β}}B \right)\le Φ\left( A \right){{\sharp}_{α}}Φ\left( B \right).\]
We propose a new viewpoint on Hilbert scales extending them by means of all Hilbert spaces that are interpolation ones between spaces on the scale. We prove that this extension admits an explicit description with the help of $\mathrm{OR}$-varying functions of the operator generating the scale. We also show that this extended Hilbert scale is obtained by the quadratic interpolation (with function parameter) between the above spaces and is closed with respect to the quadratic interpolation between Hilbert spaces. We give applications of the extended Hilbert scale to interpolational inequalities,…
This article improves the triangle inequality for complex numbers, using the Hermite-Hadamard inequality for convex functions. Then, applications of the obtained refinement are presented to include some operator inequalities. The operator applications include numerical radius inequalities and operator mean inequalities.
In this paper, we prove some operator inequalities associated with an extension of the Kantorovich type inequality for $s$-convex function. We also give an application to the order preserving power inequality of three variables and find a better lower bound for the numerical radius of a positive operator under some conditions.
In this survey, we shall present characterizations of some distinguished classes of Hilbertian bounded linear operators (namely, normal operators, selfadjoint operators, and unitary operators) in terms of operator inequalities related to the arithmetic-geometric mean inequality. For the class of all normal operators, we shall present new general characterizations.
We improve the existing Ando-Hiai inequalities for operator means and present new ones for operator perspectives in several ways. We also provide the operator perspective version of the Lie-Trotter formula and consider the extension problem of operator perspectives to non-invertible positive operators.
In this paper we study various forms of the Hardy inequality for Dunkl operators, including the classical inequality, $L^p$ inequalities, an improved Hardy inequality, as well as the Rellich inequality and a special case of the Caffarelli-Kohn-Nirenberg inequality. As a consequence, one-dimensional many-particle Hardy inequalities for generalised root systems are proved, which in the particular case of root systems $A_{N-1}$ improve some well-known results.
In this article we study the Heinz and Hermite-Hadamard inequalities. We derive the whole series of refinements of these inequalities involving unitarily invariant norms, which improve some recent results, known from the literature. We also prove that if $A , B, X\in M_n(\mathbb{C})$ such that $A$ and $B$ are positive definite and $f$ is an operator monotone function on $(0,\infty)$. Then \begin{equation*} |||f(A)X-Xf(B)|||\leq \max\{||f'(A)||, ||f'(B)||\} |||AX-XB|||. \end{equation*} Finally we obtain a series of refinements of the Heinz operator inequalities, which were proved by Kittaneh an…
In this work, some generalizations and refinements inequalities for numerical radius of the product of Hilbert space operators are proved. New inequalities for numerical radius of block matrices of Hilbert space operators are also established.
The aim of this paper is to study the Harnack type logarithmic submajorisation and Fuglede-Kadison determinant inequalities for operators in a finite von Neumann algebra. In particular, the Harnack type determinant inequalities due to Lin-Zhang [15] and Yang-Zhang [27] are extended to the case of operators in a finite von Neumann algebra.
In this article, we employ a standard convex argument to obtain new and refined inequalities related to the matrix mean of two accretive matrices, the numerical radius and the Tsallis relative operator entropy.
The optimal constants in a class of exponential type inequalities for the Ornstein-Uhlenbeck operator in the Gauss space are detected. The existence of extremal functions in the relevant inequalities is also established. Our results disclose analogies and dissimilarities in comparison with Adams' inequality for the Laplace operator, a companion of our inequalities in the Euclidean space.
In this work we introduce a new measure for the dispersion of the spectral scale of a Hermitian (self-adjoint) operator acting on a separable infinite dimensional Hilbert space that we call spectral spread. Then, we obtain some submajorization inequalities involving the spectral spread of self-adjoint operators, that are related to Tao's inequalities for anti-diagonal blocks of positive operators, Kittaneh's commutator inequalities for positive operators and also related to the Arithmetic-Geometric mean inequality. In turn, these submajorization relations imply inequalities for unitarily invar…
In this article, we employ certain properties of the transform $C_{M,m}(A)=(MI-A^*)(A-mI)$ to obtain new inequalities for the bounded linear operator $A$ on a complex Hilbert space $\mathcal{H}$. In particular, we obtain new relations among $|A|,|A^*|,|\mathfrak{R}A|$ and $|\mathfrak{I}A|$. Further numerical radius inequalities that extend some known inequalities will be presented too.
In this paper, new equivalence theorems for the boundedness of the composition of a quasilinear operator $T$ with the Hardy and Copson operators in weighted Lebesgue spaces are proved. The usefulness of the obtained results is illustrated in the case of weighted Hardy-type and weighted iterated Hardy-type inequalities.
We present several sharp upper bounds and some extension for product operators. Among other inequalities, it is shown that if , , are non-negative continuous functions on such that , , then for all non-negative operator monotone decreasing function on , we obtain that As an application of the above inequality, it is shown that where, and .
We prove new inequalities for the spectral radius, essential spectral radius, operator norm, measure of noncompactness and numerical radius of Hadamard weighted geometric means of positive kernel operators on Banach function and sequence spaces. Several inequalities appear to be new even in the finite dimensional case.
Let $\mathbb{A}= \begin{pmatrix} A & 0 \\ 0 & A \\ \end{pmatrix} $ be a $2\times2$ diagonal operator matrix whose each diagonal entry is a bounded positive (semidefinite) linear operator $A$ acting on a complex Hilbert space $\mathcal{H}$. In this paper, we derive several $\mathbb{A}$-numerical radius inequalities for $2\times 2$ operator matrices whose entries are bounded with respect to the seminorm induced by the positive operator $A$ on $\mathcal{H}$. Some applications of our inequalities are also given.
In this work, generalizations of some inequalities for continuous $h$-synchronous ($h$-asynchronous) functions of linear bounded selfadjoint operators under positive linear maps in Hilbert spaces are proved.
We present unified approach to obtain sharp mean-squared and multiplicative inequalities of Hardy-Littlewood-Polyá and Taikov types for multiple closed operators acting on Hilbert space. We apply our results to establish new sharp inequalities for the norms of powers of the Laplace-Beltrami operators on compact Riemmanian manifolds and derive the well-known Taikov and Hardy-Littlewood-Polyá inequalities for functions defined on $d$-dimensional space in the limit case. Other applications include the best approximation of unbounded operators by linear bounded ones and the best approximation of o…
In this article we present some new comparisons between the Heinz and Heron operator means, which improve some recent results known from the literature. We derive some refinements of these inequalities for unitarily invariant norms with the help of the contractive maps.
Operator matrices have played a significant role in studying Hilbert space operators. In this paper, we discuss further properties of operator matrices and present new estimates for the operator norms and numerical radii of such operators. Moreover, operator matrices whose real and imaginary parts are positive will be discussed, and sharper bounds will be shown for such class.
The main goal of this article is to establish several new upper and lower bounds for the $\mathbb{A}$-numerical radius of $2\times 2$ operator matrices, where $\mathbb{A}$ be the $2\times 2$ diagonal operator matrix whose diagonal entries are positive bounded operator $A$.
