In this paper study the quantum deformation of the superflag Fl(2|0, 2|1,4|1), and its big cell, describing the complex conformal and Minkowski superspaces respectively. In particular, we realize their projective embedding via a generalization to the super world of the Segre map and we use it to construct a quantum deformation of the super line bundle realizing this embedding. This strategy allows us to obtain a description of the quantum coordinate superring of the superflag that is then naturally equipped with a coaction of the quantum complex conformal supergroup SL_q(4|1).
The superspace formalism for $\mathcal{N}=1$ supergravity in four dimensions is a powerful geometric setting to engineer off-shell supergravity-matter theories, including higher-derivative couplings. This review provides a unified description of the three superspace approaches to $\mathcal{N}=1$ conformal supergravity: (i) conformal superspace; (ii) $\mathsf{U}(1)$ superspace; and (iii) the Grimm-Wess-Zumino formalism. The prepotential formulation for the latter is discussed. We briefly describe the known off-shell formulations for Poincaré and anti-de Sitter supergravity theories as conformal…
We propose a superspace formulation for conformal $(p,q)$ supergravity in two dimensions as a gauge theory of the superconformal group $\mathsf{OSp}_0 (p|2; {\mathbb R} ) \times \mathsf{OSp}_0 (q|2; {\mathbb R} )$ with a flat connection. Upon degauging of certain local symmetries, this conformal superspace is shown to reduce to a conformally flat $\mathsf{SO}(p) \times \mathsf{SO}(q)$ superspace with the following properties: (i) its structure group is a direct product of the Lorentz group and $\mathsf{SO}(p) \times \mathsf{SO}(q)$; and (ii) the residual local scale symmetry is realised by sup…
Basics of ${\cal N}=2, 4D$ conformal and Einstein supergravities in the harmonic superspace approach are outlined. The crucial merit of this formulation consists in that the relevant off-shell supermultiplets, in particular ${\cal N}=2, 4D$ superconformal Weyl multiplet, are accommodated by the harmonic-analytic unconstrained prepotentials with a clear geometric meaning, like in the analogous formulation of ${\cal N}=2, 4D$ supersymmetric gauge theory. The fundamental gauge group of conformal supergravity is constituted by the analyticity-preserving diffeomorphisms of harmonic superspace. The …
In four spacetime dimensions, all ${\cal N} =1$ supergravity-matter systems can be formulated in the so-called $\mathsf{U}(1)$ superspace proposed by Howe in 1981. This paper is devoted to the study of those geometric structures which characterise a background $\mathsf{U}(1)$ superspace and are important in the context of supersymmetric field theory in curved space. We introduce (conformal) Killing tensor superfields $\ell_{(α_1 \dots α_m) ({\dot α}_1 \dots {\dot α}_n)}$, with $m$ and $n$ non-negative integers, $m+n>0$, and elaborate on their significance in the following cases: (i) $m=n=1$; (…
General $\mathcal{N}=(1,0)$ supergravity-matter systems in six dimensions may be described using one of the two fully fledged superspace formulations for conformal supergravity: (i) $\mathsf{SU}(2)$ superspace; and (ii) conformal superspace. With motivation to develop rigid supersymmetric field theories in curved space, this paper is devoted to the study of the geometric symmetries of supergravity backgrounds. In particular, we introduce the notion of a conformal Killing spinor superfield $ε^α$, which proves to generate extended superconformal transformations. Among its cousins are the conform…
The relativistic Lorentz-covariant quantum space-times obtained by Snyder can be described by the coset generators of (anti) de-Sitter algebras. Similarly, the Lorentz-covariant quantum phase spaces introduced by Yang, which contain additionally quantum curved fourmomenta and quantum-deformed relativistic Heisenberg algebra, can be defined by suitably chosen coset generators of conformal algebras. We extend such algebraic construction to the respective superalgebras, which provide quantum Lorentz-covariant superspaces (SUSY Snyder model) and indicate also how to obtain the quantum relativistic…
We shall develop a general technique to obtain the super heat kernel coefficients of an arbitrary second order operator in $N=1$ superspace. We focus on the space of conformal supergravity here but the method presented is equally applicable for other types of superspace. The first three coefficients which determine the one-loop divergence of the corresponding quantum theory will be calculated. As an application we shall present the one-loop logarithmic divergence of super Yang-Mills theory coupled to a string dilaton $S$. This is the first superfield calculation for SYM with a non-trivial gaug…
