In this paper, we give a generalization for weakly primary submodules called $I$-primary submodule and we study some properties of it. We give some characterizations of $I$-primary submodules. Also we establish the situation of $I$-primary submodules in module localizations and decomposition modules.
Let $R$ be a graded commutative ring with non-zero unity $1$ and $M$ be a graded unitary $R$-module. In this article, we introduce the concepts of graded $ϕ$-$2$-absorbing and graded $ϕ$-$2$-absorbing primary submodules as generalizations of the concepts of graded $2$-absorbing and graded $2$-absorbing primary submodules. Let $GS(M)$ be the set of all graded $R$-submodules of $M$ and $ϕ: GS(M)\rightarrow GS(M)\bigcup\{\emptyset\}$ be a function. A proper graded $R$-submodule $K$ of $M$ is said to be a graded $ϕ$-$2$-absorbing $R$-submodule of $M$ if whenever $x, y$ are homogeneous elements of …
Let $N$ be a submodule of a finitely generated module $M$ over a Noetherian ring. A method for the computation of the submodule generated by the envelope of $N$ is given. The relations between weakly prime submodules and their envelopes are investigated. Using these relations, a description of the weakly radical of a submodule is obtained. The results are illustrated by examples.
In this paper, we further study the theory of Intuitionistic fuzzy submodules and we will define intuitionistic fuzzy primary submodule with the help of the definition of a radical submodule, and we also study the properties of these submodules. Furthermore, homomorphic image and pre-image of intuitionistic fuzzy primary submodule are investigated.
Let $R$ be a commutative ring with identity and $M$ be a unitary $R$-module. By $J(R),$ we denote the Jacobson radical of $R$. The purpose of this paper is to introduce the concept of weakly $J$-submodules generalizing $J$-submodules. We call a proper submodule $N$ of $M$ a weakly $J$-submodule if whenever $0\neq rm\in N$ for $r\in R$ and $m\in M$, then $r\in(J(R)M:M)$ or $m\in N.$ Various properties and characterizations of weakly $J$-submodules are investigated especially in the case of multiplication modules.
In this paper, all rings are commutative with nonzero identity. Let $M$ be an $R$-module. A proper submodule $N$ of $M$ is called a classical prime submodule, if for each $m \in M$ and elements $a,b\in R$, $abm\in N$ implies that $am\in N$ or $bm\in N$. We introduce the concept of "weakly classical prime submodules." A proper submodule $N$ of $M$ is a weakly classical prime submodule if whenever $a,b\in R$ and $m\in M$ with $0\neq abm\in N$, then $am\in N$ or $bm\in N$.
In this study, all rings are commutative with non-zero identity and all modules are considered to be unital. Let $M$ be a left $R$-module. A proper submodule $N$ of $M$ is called an $S$-$weakly$ $prime$ submodule if $0_{M}\neq f(m)\in N$ implies that either $m\in N$ or $f(M)\subseteq N,$ where $f\in S=End(M)$ and $m\in M$. Some results concerning $S$-prime and $S$-weakly prime submodules are obtained. Then we study $S$-prime and $S$-weakly prime submodules of multiplication modules. Also for $R$-modules $M_{1}$ and $M_{2},$ we examine $S$-prime and $S$-weakly prime submodules of $M=M_{1}\times…
Let $R$ be a commutative ring with non-zero identity and $M$ be a unitary $R$-module. The goal of this paper is to extend the concept of 1-absorbing primary ideals to 1-absorbing primary submodules. A proper submodule $N$ of $M$ is said to be a 1-absorbing primary submodule if whenever non-unit elements $a,b\in R$ and $m\in M$ with $abm\in N$, then either $ab\in(N:_{R}M)$ or $m\in M-rad(N).$ Various properties and chacterizations of this class of submodules are considered. Moreover, 1-absorbing primary avoidance theorem is proved.
Let $G$ be a group with identity $e$. Let $R$ be a $G$-graded commutative ring and $M$ a graded $R$-module. In this paper, we introduce the concept of graded primary-like submodules as a new generalization of graded primary ideals and give some basic results about graded primary-like submodules of graded modules. Special attention has been paid, when graded submodules satisfies the gr-primeful property, to find extra properties of these graded submodules.
Let $R$ be a commutative ring with identity, $S$ a multiplicatively closed subset of $R$, and $M$ be an $R$-module. In this paper, we study and investigate some properties of $S$-primary submodules of $M$. Among the other results, it is shown that this class of modules contains the family of primary (resp. $S$-prime) submodules properly.
All rings are commutative with $1\neq0$, and all modules are unital. The purpose of this paper is to investigate the concept of $2$-absorbing primary submodules generalizing $2$-absorbing primary ideals of rings. Let $M$ be an $R$-module. A proper submodule $N$ of an $R$-module $M$ is called a $2$-absorbing primary submodule of $M$ if whenever $a,b\in R$ and $m\in M$ and $abm\in N$, then $am\in M$-$rad(N)$ or $bm\in M$-$rad(N)$ or $ab\in(N:_RM)$. It is shown that a proper submodule $N$ of $M$ is a $2$-absorbing primary submodule if and only if whenever $I_1I_2K\subseteq N$ for some ideals $I_1…
In this work, we introduce the notion of $S$-1-absorbing primary submodule as an extension of 1-absorbing primary submodule. Let $S$ be a multiplicatively closed subset of a ring $R$ and $M$ be an $R$-module. A submodule $N$ of $M$ with $(N:_{R}M)\cap S=\emptyset$ is said to be $S$-1-absorbing primary if whenever $abm\in N$ for some non-unit $a,b\in R$ and $m\in M$, then either $sab\in(N:_{R}M)$ or $sm\in M$-$rad(N)$. We examine several properties of this concept and provide some characterizations. In addition, $S$-1-absorbing primary avoidance theorem and $S $-1-absorbing primary property for…
Let $R$ be a commutative ring with a non-zero identity, $S$ be a multiplicatively closed subset of $R$ and $M$ be a unital $R$-module. In this paper, we define a submodule $N$ of $M$ with $(N:_{R}M)\cap S=ϕ$ to be weakly $S$-prime if there exists $s\in S$ such that whenever $a\in R$ and $m\in M$ with $0\neq am\in N$, then either $sa\in(N:_{R}M)$ or $sm\in N$. Many properties, examples and characterizations of weakly $S$-prime submodules are introduced, especially in multiplication modules. Moreover, we investigate the behavior of this structure under module homomorphisms, localizations, quotie…
We give an algebraic and self-contained proof of the existence of the so-called Noetherian operators for primary submodules over general classes of Noetherian commutative rings. The existence of Noetherian operators accounts to provide an equivalent description of primary submodules in terms of differential operators. As a consequence, we introduce a new notion of differential powers which coincides with symbolic powers in many interesting non-smooth settings, and so it could serve as a generalization of the Zariski-Nagata Theorem.
Let $R$ be a commutative ring with a non-zero identity, $S$ be a multiplicatively closed subset of $R$ and $M$ be a unital $R$-module. In this paper, we define a submodule $N$ of $M$ with $(N:_{R}M)\cap S=\emptyset$ to be weakly $S$-primary if there exists $s\in S$ such that whenever $a\in R$ and $m\in M$ with $0\neq am\in N$, then either $sa\in\sqrt{(N:_{R}M)}$ or $sm\in N$. We present various properties and characterizations of this concept (especially in finitely generated faithful multiplication modules). Moreover, the behavior of this structure under module homomorphisms, localizations, q…
We introduce the notion of Burch submodules and weakly $\mathfrak m$-full submodules of modules over local rings and study their properties. One of our main results shows that Burch submodules satisfy 2-Tor rigid and test property. We also show that over a local ring $(R,\mathfrak m)$ a submodule $M$ of a finitely generated $R$-module $X$, such that either $M=\mathfrak m X$ or $M(\subseteq \mathfrak m X$) is weakly $\mathfrak m$-full in $X$, is 1-Tor rigid and a test module provided that $X$ is faithful (and $X/M$ has finite length when $M$ is weakly $\mathfrak m$-full). As an application, we …
Recent results of Kahle and Miller give a method of constructing primary decompositions of binomial ideals by first constructing "mesoprimary decompositions" determined by their underlying monoid congruences. These mesoprimary decompositions are highly combinatorial in nature, and are designed to parallel standard primary decomposition over Noetherean rings. In this paper, we generalize mesoprimary decomposition from binomial ideals to "binomial submodules" of certain graded modules over the corresponding monoid algebra, analogous to the way primary decomposition of ideals over a Noetherean ri…
Let $R$ be a commutative ring with identity. For a finitely generated $R$-module $M$, the notion of associated prime submodules of $M$ is defined. It is shown that this notion inherits most of essential properties of the usual notion of associated prime ideals. In particular, it is proved that for a Noetherian multiplication module $M$, the set of associated prime submodules of $M$ coincides with the set of $M$-radicals of primary submodules of $M$ which appear in a minimal primary decomposition of the zero submodule of $M$. Also, Anderson's theorem [{\bf 2}] is extended to minimal prime submo…
We study primary submodules and primary decompositions from a differential and computational point of view. Our main theoretical contribution is a general structure theory and a representation theorem for primary submodules of an arbitrary finitely generated module over a polynomial ring. We characterize primary submodules in terms of differential operators and punctual Quot schemes. Moreover, we introduce and implement an algorithm that computes a minimal differential primary decomposition for a module.
A submodule $W$ of a p-primary module $M$ of bounded order is known to be regular if $W$ and $M$ have simultaneous bases. In this paper we derive necessary and sufficient conditions for regularity of a submodule.
The purpose of the present paper is to prove some properties of the strongly irreducible submodules in the arithmetical and Noetherian modules over a commutative ring. The relationship among the families of strongly irreducible submodules, irreducible submodules, prime submodules and primal submodules is proved. Also, several new characterizations of the arithmetical modules are given. In the case when $R$ is Noetherian and $M$ is finitely generated, several characterizations of strongly irreducible submodules are included. Among other things, it is shown that when $N$ is a submodule of $M$ su…
In this paper, we introduce the concepts of strongly 2-absorbing primary ideals (resp., submodules) and strongly 2-absorbing ideals (resp., submodules) as generalizations of strongly prime ideals. Furthermore, we investigate some basic properties of these classes of ideals.
Let $R$ be a $G$-graded ring and M be a $G$-graded $R$-module. We define the graded primary spectrum of $M$, denoted by $\mathcal{PS}_G(M)$, to be the set of all graded primary submodules $Q$ of M such that $(Gr_M(Q):_R M)=Gr((Q:_R M))$. In this paper, we define a topology on $\mathcal{PS}_G(M)$ having the Zariski topology on the graded prime spectrum $Spec_G(M)$ as a subspace topology, and investigate several topological properties of this topological space.
We present an algorithm to compute the primary decomposition of a submodule $\mathcal{N}$ of the free module $\Z[x_1, \ldots, x_n]^m$. For this purpose we use algorithms for primary decomposition of ideals in the polynomial ring over the integers. The idea is to compute first the minimal associated primes of $\mathcal{N}$, i.e. the minimal associated primes of the ideal $\Ann(\Z[x_1, \ldots, x_n]^m /\mathcal{N})$ in $\Z[x_1,\ldots,x_n]$ and then compute the primary components using pseudo-primary decomposition and extraction, following the ideas of Shimoyama-Yokoyama. The algorithms are implem…
Let $R$ be a commutative ring with $1\neq0$. In this article, we introduce the concept of weakly $(m,n)-$closed $δ-$primary ideals of $R$ and explore its basic properties. We show that $I\bowtie^{f}J$ is a weakly $(m,n)-$closed $δ_{\bowtie^{f}}-$primary ideal of $A\bowtie^{f}J$ that is not $(m,n)-$closed $δ_{\bowtie^{f}}-$primary if and only if $I$ is a weakly $(m,n)-$closed $δ-$primary ideal of $A$ that is not $(m,n)-$closed $δ-$primary and for every $δ$-$(m,n)$-unbreakable-zero element $a$ of $I$ we have $(f(a)+j)^{m}=0$ for every $j\in~J$, where $f:A\rightarrow B$ is a homomorphism of rings…
Let $R$ be a $G$-graded ring. In this article, we introduce two new concepts on graded rings, namely, weakly graded rings and invertible graded rings, and we discuss the relations between these concepts and several properties of graded rings. Also, we study the concept of weakly crossed products and study some properties defined on weakly crossed product and give the relationship between this new concept and several properties of graded rings. Moreover, in this article, we give a generalization for the concept of graded essential submodules, and introduce the concept of graded semi-uniform mod…
Let $\mathfrak a$ be an ideal of a commutative Noetherian ring $R$ and $t$ be a non-negative integer. Let $M$ and $N$ be two finitely generated $R$-modules. In certain cases, we give some bounds under inclusion for the annihilators of $\operatorname{Ext}^t_R(M, N)$ and $\operatorname{H}^t_{\mathfrak a}(M)$ in terms of minimal primary decomposition of the zero submodule of $M$ which are independent of the choice of minimal primary decomposition. Then, by using those bounds, we compute the annihilators of local cohomology and Ext modules in certain cases.
Let $R=\bigoplus_{\underline{n} \in \mathbb{N}^t}R_{\underline{n}}$ be a commutative Noetherian $\mathbb{N}^t$-graded ring, and $L = \bigoplus_{\underline{n}\in\mathbb{N}^t}L_{\underline{n}}$ be a finitely generated $\mathbb{N}^t$-graded $R$-module. We prove that there exists a positive integer $k$ such that for any $\underline{n} \in \mathbb{N}^t$ with $L_{\underline{n}} \neq 0$, there exists a primary decomposition of the zero submodule $O_{\underline{n}}$ of $L_{\underline{n}}$ such that for any $P \in {\rm Ass}_{R_0}(L_{\underline{n}})$, the $P$-primary component $Q$ in that primary decomp…
Let $R$ be a commutative Noetherian ring, $Φ$ a system of ideals of $R$ and $I\in Φ$. Let $M$ be an $R$-module (not necessary $I$-torsion) such that $\dim M\leq 1$, then the $R$-module $\Ext^i_{R}(R/I, M)$ is weakly Laskerian, for all $i\geq 0$, if and only if the $R$-module $\Ext^i_{R}(R/I, M)$ is weakly Laskerian, for $i=0, 1$. Let $t\in\Bbb{N}_0$ be an integer and $M$ an $R$-module such that $\Ext^i_R(R/I,M)$ is weakly Laskerian for all $i\leq t+1$. We prove that if the $R$-module $\lc^{i}_Φ(M)$ is ${\rm FD_{\leq 1}}$ for all $i<t$, then $\lc^{i}_Φ(M)$ is $Φ$-weakly cofinite for all $i<t$ a…
Let $I$ be an ideal of a Noetherian ring R and M be a finitely generated R-module. We introduce the class of extension modules of finitely generated modules by the class of all modules $T$ with $\dim T\leq n$ and we show it by ${\rm FD_{\leq n}}$ where $n\geq -1$ is an integer. We prove that for any ${\rm FD_{\leq 0}}$(or minimax) submodule N of $H^t_I(M)$ the R-modules ${\rm Hom}_R(R/I,H^{t}_I(M)/N) {\rm and} {\rm Ext}^1_R(R/I,H^{t}_I(M)/N)$ are finitely generated, whenever the modules $H^0_I(M)$, $H^1_I(M)$, ..., $H^{t-1}_I(M)$ are ${\rm FD_{\leq 1}}$ (or weakly Laskerian). As a consequence,…
The purpose of the present paper is to continue the study of modules cofinite and weakly cofinite with respect to an ideal $\frak a$ of a Noetherian ring $R$. It is shown that an $R$-module $M$ is cofinite with respect to $\frak a$, if and only if, $\Ext^i_R(R/\frak a,M)$ is finitely generated for all $i\leq {\rm cd}(\frak a,M)+1$, whenever $\dim R/\frak a=1$. In addition, we show that if $M$ is finitely generated and $H^i_{\frak a}(M)$ are weakly Laskerian for all $i\leq t-1$, then $H^i_{\frak a}(M)$ are ${\frak a}$-cofinite for all $i\leq t-1$ and for any minimax submodule $K$ of $H^{t}_{\fr…
Let $M$ be a finitely generated module over a Noetherian ring $R$ and $N$ a submodule. The index of reducibility ir$_M(N)$ is the number of irreducible submodules that appear in an irredundant irreducible decomposition of $N$ (this number is well defined by a classical result of Emmy Noether). Then the main results of this paper are: (1) $\mathrm{ir}_M(N) = \sum_{{\frak p} \in \mathrm{Ass}_R(M/N)} \dim_{k(\frak p)} \mathrm{Soc}(M/N)_{\frak p} $; (2) For an irredundant primary decomposition of $N = Q_1 \cap \cdots \cap Q_n$, where $Q_i$ is $\frak p_i$-primary, then $\mathrm{ir}_M(N) = \mathrm{i…
Let $R$ denote a commutative Noetherian (not necessarily local) ring, $M$ an arbitrary $R$-module and $I$ an ideal of $R$ of dimension one. It is shown that the $R$-module $\Ext^i_R(R/I,M)$ is finitely generated (resp. weakly Laskerian) for all $i\leq {\rm cd}(I,M)+1$ if and only if the local cohomology module $H^i_I(M)$ is $I$-cofinite (resp. $I$-weakly cofinite) for all $i$. Also, we show that when $I$ is an arbitrary ideal and $M$ is finitely generated module such that the $R$-module $H^i_I(M)$ is weakly Laskerian for all $i\leq t-1$, then $H^i_I(M)$ is $I$-cofinite for all $i\leq t-1$ and …
Among many generalizations of primary hyperideals, weakly $n$-ary primary hyperideals and $n$-ary $S$-primary hyperideals have been studied recently. Let $S$ be an $n$-ary multiplicative set of a commutative Krasner $(m,n)$-hyperring $K$ and, $ϕ$ and $δ$ be reduction and expansion functions of hyperideals of $K$, respectively. The purpose of this paper is to introduce $n$-ary $ϕ$-$δ$-$S$-primary hyperideals which serve as an extension of $S$-primary hyperideals with the help of $ϕ$ and $δ$. We present some main results and examples explaining the sructure of this concept. We examine the relati…
Let R be a multiplicative hyperring. In this paper, we define the concept of 1-absorbing prime hyperideals which is a generalization of the prime hyperideals. Several properties of the hyperideals are provided. Moreover, we introduce the notions of 1-absorbing primary hyperideals, strongly 1-absorbing primary hyperideals and weakly 1-absorbing primary hyperideals which are generalizations of the 1-absorbing prime hyperideals and then we will show some properties of them.
Let $R$ be a commutative ring, $M$ an $R$-module and $φ_a$ be the endomorphism of $M$ given by right multiplication by $a\in R$. We say that $M$ is {\it weakly-morphic} if $M/φ_a(M)\cong \ker(φ_a)$ as $R$-modules for every $a$. We study these modules and use them to characterise the rings $R/\text{Ann}_R(M)$, where $\text{Ann}_R(M)$ is the right annihilator of $M$. A kernel-direct or image-direct module $M$ is weakly-morphic if and only if each element of $R/\text{Ann}_R(M)$ is regular as an endomorphism element of $M$. If $M$ is a weakly-morphic module over an integral domain $R$, then $M$ is…
