In this work we investigate the spectral and transport properties of a single correlated layer attached to two metallic leads, with particular focus on the low-energy physics. A steady state current is driven across the layer by applying a bias voltage between the leads. Extending previous work we introduce a nonzero temperature in the leads, which enables us to study the influence of quasiparticle excitations on the transport characteristics in detail. Even though the system is clearly three dimensional we obtain current-voltage curves that closely resemble those of single quantum dots. Furthermore, a splitting of the quasiparticle excitation with bias voltage is observed in the spectral function.
The question about the existence of Bogoliubov's quasiparticles in the BCS wave functions underneath Gutzwiller's projection is of importance to strongly correlated systems. We develop a method to examine the two-particle excitations of Gutzwiller-projected BCS wave functions by using the variational Monte Carlo approach. We find that the exact Gutzwiller-projected quasiparticle (GQP) dispersions are quantitatively reproduced by the Gutzwiller-projected Bogoliubov quasiparticles (GBQP) except the regions where d-wave Cooper pairing is strong. Since GQP still shows higher energy than GBQP near …
We show that quasiparticles in a magnetic field of arbitrary strength $H$ can be described by field dependent parameters. We illustrate this approach in the case of an Anderson impurity model and use the numerical renormalization group (NRG) to calculate the renormalized parameters for the levels with spin $σ$, $\tildeε_{\mathrm{d},σ}(H)$, resonance width $\tildeΔ(H)$ and the effective local quasiparticle interaction $\tilde U(H)$. In the Kondo or strong correlation limit of the model the progressive de-renormalization of the quasiparticles can be followed as the magnetic field is increased. T…
Exploiting inversion symmetry breaking (ISB) in systems with strong spin-orbit coupling promises control of spin through electric fields - crucial to achieve miniaturization in spintronic devices. Delivering on this promise requires a two-dimensional electron gas with a spin precession length shorter than the spin coherence length and a large spin splitting so that spin manipulation can be achieved over length scales of nanometers. Recently, the transition metal oxide terminations of delafossite oxides were found to exhibit a large Rashba spin splitting dominated by ISB. In this limit, the Fer…
Strong interactions and topology drive a wide variety of correlated ground states. Some of the most interesting of these ground states, such as fractional quantum Hall states and fractional Chern insulators, have fractionally charged quasiparticles. Correlations in these phases are captured by the binding of electrons and vortices into emergent particles called composite fermions. Composite fermion quasiparticles are randomly localized at high levels of disorder and may exhibit charge order when there is not too much disorder in the system. However, more complex correlations were predicted whe…
We show that a strongly renormalized band of polaronic quasiparticle excitations is induced at the Fermi level of an interacting many-electron system on increasing the coupling of the electrons to local phonons. We give results for the local density of states at zero temperature both for the electrons and phonons. The polaronic quasiparticles satisfy Luttinger's theorem for all regimes considered, and their dispersion shows a kink similar to that observed experimentally in copper oxides. We calculate the quasiparticle weight factor $z$ and deduce the local effective inter-quasiparticle interac…
Basing on the density functional theory of fermion condensation, we analyze the non-Fermi liquid behavior of strongly correlated Fermi-systems such as heavy-fermion metals. When deriving equations for the effective mass of quasiparticles, we consider solids with a lattice and homogeneous systems. We show that the low-temperature thermodynamic and transport properties are formed by quasiparticles, while the dependence of the effective mass on temperature, number density, magnetic fields, etc gives rise to the non-Fermi liquid behavior. Our theoretical study of the heat capacity, magnetization, …
The variation in the quasiparticle weight $Z$ on moving around the fermi surface in correlated metals is studied theoretically. Our primary example is a heavy Fermi liquid treated within the standard hybridization mean field theory. The most dramatic variation in the quasiparticle weight happens in situations where the hybridization vanishes along certain directions in momentum space. Such a "hybridization node" is demonstrated for a simplified model of a Cerium-based cubic heavy electron metal. We show that the quasiparticle weight varies from almost unity in some directions, to values approa…
We extend the imaginary-time formulation of the equilibrium quantum many-body theory to steady-state nonequilibrium with an application to strongly correlated transport. By introducing Matsubara voltage, we keep the finite chemical potential shifts in the Fermi-Dirac function, in agreement with the Keldysh formulation. The formulation is applied to strongly correlated transport in the Kondo regime using the quantum Monte Carlo method.
We extend the renormalized quasiparticle description of the symmetric Anderson model in a magnetic field $H$, developed in earlier work, to the non-symmetric model. The renormalized parameters are deduced from the low energy NRG fixed point for arbitrary field values. We find quasiparticle resonance widths, $\tildeΔ_σ(H)$, which depend in general on the spin $σ$ as well as $H$. The low temperature static properties can be expressed completely in terms of these parameters, which can also be used as inputs for a renormalized perturbation theory. We show that taking into account repeated quasipar…
A brief account of the zero temperature magnetic response of a system of strongly correlated electrons in strong magnetic field is given in terms of its quasiparticle properties. The scenario is based on the paramagnetic phase of the half-filled Hubbard model, and the calculations are carried out with the dynamical mean field theory (DMFT) together with the numerical renormalization group (NRG). As well known, in a certain parameter regime one finds a magnetic susceptibility which increases with the field strength. Here, we analyze this metamagnetic response based on Fermi liquid parameters, w…
Strongly correlated Fermi systems are among the most intriguing, best experimentally studied and fundamental systems in physics. There is, however, lack of theoretical understanding in this field of physics. The ideas based on the concepts like Kondo lattice and involving quantum and thermal fluctuations at a quantum critical point have been used to explain the unusual physics. Alas, being suggested to describe one property, these approaches fail to explain the others. This means a real crisis in theory suggesting that there is a hidden fundamental law of nature. It turns out that the hidden f…
The self-consistent theory of the correlation effects in Highly Correlated Systems(HCS) is presented. The novel Irreducible Green's Functions(IGF) method is discused in detail for the Hubbard model and random Hubbard model. The interpolative solution for the quasiparticle spectrum, which is valid for both the atomic and band limit is obtained. The (IGF) method permits to calculate the quasiparticle spectra of many-particle systems with the complicated spectra and strong interaction in a very natural and compact way. The inelastic scattering corrections leads to the damping of the quasiparticle…
Fractionally charged quasiparticles in edge states, are expected to condense to a chiral Luttinger liquid (CLL). We studied their condensation by measuring the conductance and shot noise due to an artificial backscatterer embedded in their path. At sufficiently low temperatures backscattering events were found to be strongly correlated, producing a highly non-linear current-voltage characteristic and a non-classical shot noise - both are expected in a CLL. When, however, the impinging beam of quasiparticles was made dilute, either artificially via an additional weak backscatterer or by increas…
SmB6 is one of the candidate compounds for topological Kondo insulators, a class of materials which combines a non-trivial topological band structure with strong electronic correlations. Here we employ a multiband tight-binding description, supplemented by a slave-particle approach to account for strong interactions, to theoretically study the surface-state signatures in scanning tunneling spectroscopy (STS) and quasiparticle interference (QPI). We discuss the spin structure of the three surface Dirac cones of SmB6 and provide concrete predictions for the energy and momentum dependence of the …
We present analytic expressions for the exact density functional and Kohn-Sham Hamiltonian of simple tight-binding models of correlated electrons. These are the single- and double-site versions of the Anderson, Hubbard and spinless fermion models. The exact exchange and correlation potentials are fully non-local. The analytic expressions allow to compare the Kohn-Sham eigenstates of exact density functional theory with the many-body quasi-particle states of these correlated-electron systems. The exact Kohn-Sham spectrum describes correctly many of the non-trivial features of the many-body quas…
We analyze the effects of a momentum-dependent self-energy on the photoemission momentum distribution curve (MDC) lineshape, dispersion and linewidth. We illustrate this general analysis by a detailed examination of nodal quasiparticles in high Tc cuprates. We use variational results for the nodal quasiparticle weight Z (which varies rapidly with hole doping x) and the low energy Fermi velocity $v_F^{low}$ (which is independent of x), to show that the high energy MDC dispersion $v_{high} = v_F^{low}/Z$, so that it is much larger than the bare (band structure) velocity and also increases strong…
Using the variational cluster approximation (VCA) and the cluster perturbation theory, we study the finite temperature phase diagram of a half-depleted periodic Anderson model on the honeycomb lattice at half filling for a model of graphone, i.e., single-side hydrogenated graphene. The ground state of this model is found to be ferromagnetic (FM) semi-metal. The spin wave dispersion in the FM state is linear in momentum at zero temperature but becomes quadratic at finite temperatures, implying that the FM state is fragile against thermal fluctuations. Indeed, our VCA calculations find that the …
We have studied conductance ($\it{g}$) of butanedithiol-linked gold nanoparticle films across a percolation insulator-to-metal transition. As the transition proceeds, electrons become itinerant (i.e. Coulomb charging and kinetic effects are both significant), and films exhibit a previously unobserved zero-bias conductance peak (ZBCP). The peak is much more pronounced and easily observed using electromigration-induced break junction (BJ) contacts rather than macroscopic 4-probe electrodes. We attribute this ZBCP to quantum correlations amongst electrons, in view of other temperature- ($\it{T}$-…
We discuss a detailed phase diagram and other microscopic characteristics on the applied magnetic field - temperature (H_a-T) plane for a simple model of correlated fluid represented by a two-dimensional (2D) gas of heavy quasiparticles with masses dependent on the spin direction and the effective field generated by the electron correlations. The consecutive transitions between the Bardeen-Cooper-Schrieffer (BCS) and the Fulde-Ferrell-Larkin-Ovchinnikov (FFLO) phases are either continuous or discontinuous, depending on the values of H_a and T. In the latter case, weak metamagnetic transitions …
A model of a strongly correlated electron liquid based on the fermion condensation (FC) is extended to high-temperature superconductors. Within our model, the appearance of FC presents a boundary separating the region of a strongly interacting electron liquid from the region of a strongly correlated electron liquid. We study the superconductivity of a strongly correlated liquid and show that under certain conditions, the superconductivity vanishes at temperatures $T>T_c\simeq T_{node}$, with the superconducting gap being smoothly transformed into a pseudogap. As the result, the pseudogap occup…
In earlier work we showed how the low energy behavior of the symmetric Anderson model in a magnetic field $H$ could be described in terms of field dependent renormalized quasiparticles. Here we extend the approach to the non-symmetric Anderson impurity model and to the infinite dimensional Hubbard model within the DMFT approach. We present NRG results for the local spectral densities and the local longitudinal and transverse dynamic spin susceptibilities for the different parameter regimes and a sequence of values of the magnetic field. We calculate the renormalized parameters for the quasipar…
A quasiparticle pattern advanced in Landau's first article on Fermi liquid theory is adapted to elucidate the properties of a class of strongly correlated Fermi systems characterized by a Lifshitz phase diagram featuring a quantum critical point (QCP) where the density of states diverges. The necessary condition for stability of the Landau Fermi Liquid state is shown to break down in such systems, triggering a cascade of topological phase transitions that lead, without symmetry violation, to states with multi-connected Fermi surfaces. The end point of this evolution is found to be an exception…
By mapping steady-state nonequilibrium to an effective equilibrium, we formulate nonequilibrium problems within an equilibrium picture where we can apply existing equilibrium many-body techniques to steady-state electron transport problems. We study the analytic properties of many-body scattering states, reduce the boundary condition operator in a simple form and prove that this mapping is equivalent to the correct linear-response theory. In an example of infinite-U Anderson impurity model, we approximately solve for the scattering state creation operators, based on which we derive the bias op…
Recently Han and Heary proposed an approach to steady-state quantum transport through mesoscopic structures, which maps the non-equilibrium problem onto a family of auxiliary quantum impurity systems subject to imaginary voltages. We employ continuous-time quantum Monte-Carlo solvers to calculate accurate imaginary time data for the auxiliary models. The spectral function is obtained from a maximum entropy analytical continuation in both Matsubara frequency and complexified voltage. To enable the analytical continuation we construct a kernel which is compatible with the analytical structure of…
The correlated polar semimetal Ca$_3$Ru$_2$O$_7$ exhibits a rich phase diagram including two magnetic transitions ($T_N$=56 K and $T_C$=48 K) with the appearance of an insulating-like pseudogap (at $T_C$). In addition, there is a crossover back to metallic behavior at $T^*$=30 K, the origin of which is still under debate. We utilized ultrafast optical pump optical probe spectroscopy to investigate quasiparticle dynamics as a function of temperature in this enigmatic quantum material. We identify two dynamical processes, both of which are influenced by the onset of the pseudogap. This includes …

Motivated by recent experiments in the Kitaev honeycomb lattice, Kondo insulators, and the "Luttinger's theorem-violating" Fermi liquid phase of the underdoped cuprates, we extend the theoretical machinery of Landau-Fermi liquid theory to a system of itinerant, interacting Majorana-like particles. Building upon a previously introduced model of "nearly self-conjugate" fermionic polarons, a Landau-Majorana kinetic equation is introduced to describe the collective modes and Fermi surface instabilities in a fluid of particles whose fermionic degrees of freedom obey the Majorana reality condition. …
The alloying of first-principles calculations with quasiparticle methodologies for the converged solution of the quantum many-electron states in the correlated compound Iron monoxide
The formalism for exactly calculating the retarded and advanced Green's functions of strongly correlated lattice models in a uniform electric field is derived within dynamical mean-field theory. To illustrate the method, we solve for the nonequilibrium density of states of the Hubbard model in both the metallic and Mott insulating phases at half-filling (with an arbitrary strength electric field) by employing the numerical renormalization group as the impurity solver. This general approach can be applied to any strongly correlated lattice model in the limit of large dimensions.
Floquet engineering of closed quantum systems can lead to the formation of long-lived prethermal states that, in general, eventually thermalize to infinite temperature. Coupling these driven systems to dissipative baths can stabilize such states, establishing a true nonequilibrium steady state. We demonstrate that in a certain strongly interacting lattice model coupled to a bath and driven by an electric field, such steady states can have the remarkable property that the cycle-averaged rate of energy transfer between the lattice and the baths vanishes. Despite this, we show that these states r…
We present a framework to determine nonequilibrium steady states in strongly correlated electron systems in the presence of dissipation. This is demonstrated for a correlated electron (Falicov-Kimball) model attached to a heat bath and irradiated by an intense pump light, for which an exact solution is obtained with the Floquet method combined with the nonequilibrium dynamical mean-field theory. On top of a Drude-like peak indicative of photometallization as observed in recent pump-probe experiments, new nonequilibrium phenomena are predicted to emerge, where the optical conductivity exhibits …
A quantum phase transition in strongly correlated Fermi systems beyond the topological quantum critical point is studied within the Fermi liquid approach. The transition occurs between two topologically equivalent states, each with three sheets of the Fermi surface. One of these states possesses a quasiparticle halo in the quasiparticle momentum distribution $n(p)$, while the other, the hole pocket. The transition is found to be of the first order with respect to both the coupling constant $g$ and the temperature $T$. The phase diagram of the system in the vicinity of this transition is constr…
The spin susceptibility $χ(T)$ of strongly correlated Fermi systems is investigated in the density region where Fermi-liquid theory fails. We attribute this failure to a specific quantum phase transition associated with a rearrangement of the Landau state at low temperatures $T$, retaining the assumption that the Landau quasiparticle picture survives in a generic sense. Taking into account the resulting modification of the quasiparticle istribution function, the spin susceptibility $χ(T)$ is shown to contain a Curie-Weiss component $χ_{\rm CW}(T)\sim (T-Θ_{\rm W})^{-1}$, with the Weiss tempera…
A numerical approach is presented that allows to compute nonequilibrium steady state properties of strongly correlated quantum many-body systems. The method is imbedded in the Keldysh Green's function formalism and is based upon the idea of the variational cluster approach as far as the treatment of strong correlations is concerned. It appears that the variational aspect is crucial as it allows for a suitable optimization of a "reference" system to the nonequilibrium target state. The approach is neither perturbative in the many-body interaction nor in the field, that drives the system out of …

We use the recently developed critical quasiparticle theory to derive the scaling behavior associated with a quantum critical point (QCP) in a correlated metal. This is applied to the magnetic-field induced QCP observed in YbRh$_2$Si$_2$ (YRS), for which we also derive the critical behavior of the specific heat, resistivity, Gr{\" u}neisen coefficient, and the thermopower. The theory accounts very well for the experimental results
We discuss a general approach to a realistic theory of the electronic structure in materials containing correlated d- or f- electrons. The main feature of this approach is the taking into account the energy dependence of the electron self-energy with the momentum dependence being neglected (local approximation). In the case of strong interactions (U/W>>1 - rare-earth system) the Hubbard-I approach is the most suitable. Starting from an exact atomic Green function with the constrained density matrix the band structure problem is formulated as the functional problem on Nmm' for f-electrons and t…
Resonant tunneling through a quantum dot coupled to superconducting reservoirs in the presence of time-dependent external voltage has been studied. A general formula of the current is derived based on the nonequilibrium Green's function technique. Using this formula photon-assisted quasiparticle transport has been investigated for the quantum dot connected to superconductors. In addition, resonant Andreev transport through a strongly correlated quantum dot connected to a normal metallic lead and a superconducting lead is studied.
The semiclassical description of two-dimensional ($2d$) metals based on the quasiparticle picture suggests that there is a universal threshold of the resistivity: the resistivity of a $2d$ metal is bounded by the so called Mott-Ioffe-Regal (MIR) limit, which is at the order of $h/e^2$. If a system remains metallic while its resistivity is beyond the MIR limit, it is referred to as a "bad metal", which challenges our theoretical understanding as the very notion of quasiparticles is invalidated. The description of the system becomes even more challenging when there is also strong correlation bet…
The three band p-d model of strongly correlated electrons interacting with optical phonon via diagonal and off-diagonal electron-phonon interaction is considered within cluster perturbation theory. At first step the exact diagonalization of the Hamiltonian of CuO4 cluster results in the construction of local polaronic eigenstates |p> with hole numbers nh=0,1,2 per unit cell. The inter cluster hoppings and interactions are exactly written in terms of Hubbard operators X(pq)= |p><q| determined within the multielectron polaronic eigenstates |p>. The Fermi type single electron quasiparticle disper…
We present a method for investigating the steady-state transport properties of one-dimensional correlated quantum systems. Using a procedure based on our analysis of finite-size effects in a related classical model (LC line) we show that stationary currents can be obtained from transient currents in finite systems driven out of equilibrium. The non-equilibrium dynamics of correlated quantum systems is calculated using the time-evolving block decimation method. To demonstrate our method we determine the full I-V characteristic of the spinless fermion model with nearest-neighbour hopping t_H and…
Realistic electronic-structure calculations for correlated Mott insulators are notoriously hard. Here we present an ab initio multiconfiguration scheme that adequately describes strong correlation effects involving Cu 3d and O 2p electrons in layered cuprates. In particular, the O 2p states giving rise to the Zhang-Rice band are explicitly considered. Renormalization effects due to nonlocal spin interactions are also treated consistently. We show that the dispersion of the lowest band observed in photoemission is reproduced with quantitative accuracy. Additionally, the evolution of the Fermi s…
We study spectral properties of quasiparticles in the Kondo lattice model in one and two dimensions including the coherent quasiparticle dispersions, their spectral weights and the full two-quasiparticle spectrum using a cluster expansion scheme. We investigate the evolution of the quasiparticle band as antiferromagnetic correlations are enhanced towards the RKKY limit of the model. In both the 1D and the 2D model we find that a repulsive interaction between quasiparticles results in a distinct antibound state above the two-quasiparticle continuum. The repulsive interaction is correlated with …
We present a quasiparticle self-consistent $GW$ (QSGW) implementation for periodic systems based on crystalline Gaussian basis sets. Our QSGW approach is based on a full-frequency analytic continuation GW scheme with Brillouin zone sampling and employs the Gaussian density fitting technique. We benchmark our QSGW implementation on a set of weakly-correlated semiconductors and insulators as well as strongly correlated transition metal oxides including MnO, FeO, CoO, and NiO. Band gap, band structure, and density of states are evaluated using finite size corrected QSGW. We find that although QSG…
Recent experimental advances in ultrafast phenomena have triggered renewed interest in the dynamics of correlated quantum systems away from equilibrium. We review nonequilibrium dynamical mean-field theory studies of both the transient and the steady states of a DC field-driven correlated quantum system. In particular, we focus on the nonequilibrium behavior and how it relates to the fluctuation-dissipation theorem. The fluctuation-dissipation theorem emerges as an indicator for how the system thermalizes and for how it reaches a steady state. When the system thermalizes in an infinite tempera…
Quantum Monte Carlo (QMC) and Maximum Entropy (ME) techniques are used to study the spectral function $A({\bf p},ω)$ of the one band Hubbard model in strong coupling including a next-nearest-neighbor electronic hopping with amplitude $t'/t= -0.35$. These values of parameters are chosen to improve the comparison of the Hubbard model with angle-resolved photoemission (ARPES) data for $Sr_2 Cu O_2 Cl_2$. A narrow quasiparticle (q.p.) band is observed in the QMC analysis at the temperature of the simulation $T=t/3$, both at and away from half-filling. Such a narrow band produces a large accumulati…
We characterize the electron doping evolution of (Sr$_{1-x}$La$_x$)$_3$Ir$_2$O$_7$ by means of angle-resolved photoemission. Concomitant with the metal insulator transition around $x\approx0.05$ we find the emergence of coherent quasiparticle states forming a closed small Fermi surface of volume $3x/2$, where $x$ is the independently measured La concentration. The quasiparticle weight $Z$ remains large along the entire Fermi surface, consistent with the moderate renormalization of the low-energy dispersion. This indicates a conventional, weakly correlated Fermi liquid state with a momentum ind…
We study the electronic structure of a strongly correlated d-wave superconducting state. Combining a renormalized mean field theory with direct calculation of matrix elements, we obtain explicit analytical results for the nodal Fermi velocity, v_F, the Fermi wave vector, k_F, and the momentum distribution, n_k, as a function of hole doping in a Gutzwiller projected d-wave superconductor. We calculate the energy dispersion, E_k, and spectral weight of the Gutzwiller-Bogoliubov quasiparticles, and find that the spectral weight associated with the quasiparticle excitation at the antinodal point s…
We investigate a periodic Anderson model with interacting conduction electrons which are described by a Hubbard-type interaction of strength U_c. Within dynamical mean-field theory the total Hamiltonian is mapped onto an impurity model, which is solved by an extended non-crossing approximation. We consider the particle-hole symmetric case at half-filling. Similar to the case U_c=0, the low-energy behavior of the conduction electrons at high temperatures is essentially unaffected by the f-electrons and for small U_c a quasiparticle peak corresponding to the Hubbard model evolves first. These qu…
Resonant X-ray scattering (RXS) has recently become an increasingly important tool for the study of ordering phenomena in correlated electron systems. Yet, the interpretation of the RXS experiments remains theoretically challenging due to the complexity of the RXS cross-section. Central to this debate is the recent proposal that impurity-induced Friedel oscillations, akin to quasiparticle interference signals observed with the scanning tunneling microscope (STM), can lead to scattering peaks in the RXS experiments. The possibility that quasiparticle properties can be probed in RXS measurements…
A system of interacting, identical fermions described by standard Landau Fermi-liquid (FL) theory can experience a rearrangement of its Fermi surface if the correlations grow sufficiently strong, as occurs at a quantum critical point where the effective mass diverges. As yet, this phenomenon defies full understanding, but salient aspects of the non-Fermi-liquid (NFL) behavior observed beyond the quantum critical point are still accessible within the general framework of the Landau quasiparticle picture. Self-consistent solutions of the coupled Landau equations for the quasiparticle momentum di…
The problem of weakly correlated electrons on a square lattice is studied theoretically. A simple renormalization group scheme for the angle-resolved weight Z of the quasiparticles at the Fermi surface is presented and applied to the Hubbard model. Upon reduction of the cutoff the Fermi surface is progressively destroyed from the van Hove points toward the zone diagonals. Due to the renormalized Z, divergences of both antiferromagnetic and superconducting correlation functions are suppressed at the critical scale, where the interactions diverge.
Strongly correlated Fermi systems are fundamental systems in physics that are best studied experimentally, which until very recently have lacked theoretical explanations. This review discusses the construction of a theory and the analysis of phenomena occurring in strongly correlated Fermi systems such as heavy-fermion (HF) metals and two-dimensional (2D) Fermi systems. It is shown that the basic properties and the scaling behavior of HF metals can be described within the framework of a fermion condensation quantum phase transition (FCQPT) and extended quasiparticle paradigm that allow us to e…
Recently discovered class of cobaltate superconductors (Na0.3CoO2.nH2O) is a novel realization of interacting quantum electron systems in a triangular network with low-energy degrees of freedom. We employ angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy to uncover the nature of microscopic electron motion in the parent superconductors for the first time. Results reveal a large hole-like Fermi surface (consistent with Luttinger theorem) generated by the crossing of super-heavy quasiparticles. The measured quasiparticle parameters collectively suggest a two orders of magnitude departure from the conven…
