We consider a non-negative self-adjoint operator L satisfying generalized Gaussian estimates on a doubling metric measure space, and show that if L has a spectral gap then the local and global Hardy spaces defined by means of appropriate square functions coincide.
We give a direct proof of fractional Hardy inequality by means of Littlewood-Paley decomposition and properties of singular homogeneous kernels of degree -$d$. A refinement when $q>2$ is proved.
We present new estimate for Hardy-type inequality in variable exponent Lebesgue spaces. More precisely, by imposing regularity assumptions on the exponent, we prove that the estimations can be reduced to the fixed exponents.
In this note we formulate recent stability results for Hardy inequalities in the language of Folland and Stein's homogeneous groups. Consequently, we obtain remainder estimates for Rellich type inequalities on homogeneous groups. Main differences from the Euclidean results are that the obtained stability estimates hold for any homogeneous quasi-norm.
In this article, we present some results about Fourier multipliers on Hardy spaces in the product case. We mainly give descriptions of multipliers from the space $H^1(\mathbb{T}\times\mathbb{T})$ into the space $\ell^2$ and from the space $H^1(\mathbb{R}_+^2\times\mathbb{R}_+^2)$ into the space $L^1$.
This paper provides a class of complex symmetric weighted composition operators on $H^2(\mathbb{D})$ to includes the unitary subclass, the Hermitian subclass and the normal subclass obtained by Bourdon and Noor. A characterization of algebraic weighted composition operator with degree no more than two is provided to illustrate that the weight function of a complex symmetric weighted composition operator is not necessarily linear fractional. \end{abstract}
In this paper we prove that the Hardy-Littlewood maximal operator is bounded on Morrey spaces $\mathcal{M}_{1,λ}(\rn)$, $0 \le \la < n$ for radial, decreasing functions on $\rn$
In this work, we prove that weak compactness of composition operator on $H^{1}(U^{n})$ coincides with its compactness. We also characterize bounded and compact composition operators on $H^{1}(U^{n}).$\
We prove a characterization of Hardy's inequality in Sobolev-Slobodecki\uı spaces in terms of positive local weak supersolutions of the relevant Euler-Lagrange equation. This extends previous results by Ancona and Kinnunen & Korte for standard Sobolev spaces. The proof is based on variational methods.
A conjugation $C$ on a separable complex Hilbert space $\mathcal H$ is an antilinear operator that is isometric and involutive. In this notes, we characterize all conjugations on the Hardy-Hilbert space $H^{2}$ over the disk. In addition, we characterize complex symmetric Toeplitz operators with a special type of these conjugations.
In this note we present a version of Hardy's inequality on a measure space $(X,μ)$ endowed with a measurable function $N\colon X\to \mathbb R$ which replaces the absolute value on $\mathbb R$ or $\mathbb R^n$, and, more generally, the distance function from a given point when $X$ is a metric space.
Conditions for a composition operator on the Hardy space of the disk to have closed range or be similar to an isometry are well known. We provide such conditions for composition operators on the Hardy space of the upper half-plane. We also show that the operator of composition with an analytic self-map Φ of the upper half-plane can be similar to an isometry even when Φ is far from being an inner function.
In this note we study sub-Hardy Hilbert spaces on which the the action of the operator of multiplication by the coordinate function z is assumed to be weaker than that of an isometry. We identify such operators with a class of weighted shifts. The well known results of de Branges and Beurling are deduced as corollaries .
In this note we extend several integral inequalities to the context of noncommutative Vilenkin groups. We prove some sharp weak and strong type estimates for the Hardy operator and the Hardy-Littlewood-P{ó}lya operator on constant-order noncommutative Vilenkin groups. In particular for graded $\K$-Lie groups, where $\K$ is a non-archimedean local field, we additionally provide some functional inequalities, like the Hardy-Littlewood-Sobolev unequality and the Stein-Weiss inequality, linking some classes of homogeneous pseudo-differential operators, like the Vladimirov-Taibleson operator and the…
The aim of this note is to give the boundedness conditions for Hausdorff operators on Hardy spaces $H^{1}$ with the norm defined via $(1,q)$ atoms over homogeneous spaces of Lie groups with doubling property and to apply results we obtain to generalized Delsarte operators and to Hausdorff operators over multidimensional spheres.
Analytic functions defined on a tube domain $T^{C}\subset \mathbb{C}^{n}$ and taking values in a Banach space $X$ which are known to have $X$-valued distributional boundary values are shown to be in the Hardy space $H^{p}(T^{C},X)$ if the boundary value is in the vector valued Lebesgue space $L^{p}(\mathbb{R}^{n},X)$, where $1\leq p \leq \infty$ and $C$ is a regular open convex cone. Poisson integral transform representations of elements of $H^{p}(T^{C}, X)$ are also obtained for certain classes of Banach spaces, including reflexive Banach spaces.
In this short note we obtain new lower bounds for the constants of the real Hardy--Littlewood inequality for $m$-linear forms on $\ell_{p}^{2}$ spaces when $p=2m$ and for certain values of $m$. The real and complex cases for the general case $\ell_{p}^{n}$ were recently investigated by G. Araujo et al. When $n=2$ our results improve the best known estimates for these constants.
In this note, we establish the estimate on the Lorentz space $L(3/2,1)$ for vector fields in bounded domains under the assumption that the normal or the tangential component of the vector fields on the boundary vanishing. We prove that the $L(3/2,1)$ norm of the vector field can be controlled by the norms of its divergence and curl in the atomic Hardy spaces and the $L^1$ norm of the vector field itself.
The note shows that the operator-valued Hardy space $\sH^1$ introduced via Littlewood-Paley $g$-function coincides with the space of $H^1_R(\T, \sL^1)$ of all Bochner integrable operator-valued functions with integrable analytic part. The proof is based on the noncommutative maximal inequality for Poisson group.
In this paper, we study weighted local Hardy spaces $h^p_\wz(\rz)$ associated with local weights which include the classical Muckenhoupt weights. This setting includes the classical local Hardy space theory of Goldberg \cite{g}, and the weighted Hardy spaces of Bui \cite{bu}.
In this note, we completely characterize complex symmetric weighted composition differentiation operator on the Hardy space $H^2$ with respect to the conjugation operator $C_{λ,α}$. Meanwhile, the normal and self-adjoint of the weighted composition differentiation operators on the Hardy space $H^2$ are also studied. This note could be considered as a continuation of the work initiated by Fatehi and Hammond.
This note has a twofold purpose. To improve the best known lower estimates of the Hardy-Littlewood inequality for $m$-linear forms in $\ell_{p}$ spaces and to provide a closed formula encompassing the cases $p>2m$ and $% p=2m.$ Our approach is quite simpler than the previous and uses the best known constants of the Clarkson's inequalities.
In this paper, we give a characterization of weighted local Hardy spaces $h^1_\wz(\rz)$ associated with local weights by using the truncated Reisz transforms, which generalizes the corresponding result of Bui in \cite{b}.
This note contains two simple observations. First, by the weak factorization of product $H^1$ (Ferguson--Lacey, Lacey--Terwilleger), we obtain a multi-parameter analogue of Hardy's inequality. Second, as a dual statement, the Fourier transform of an essentially bounded function belongs to a certain product $\mathrm{BMO}$-Sobolev space.
This paper defines local weighted Hardy spaces with variable exponent. Local Hardy spaces permit atomic decomposition, which is one of the main themes in this paper. A consequence is that the atomic decomposition is obtained for the functions in the Lebesgue spaces with exponentially decaying exponent. As an application, we obtain the boundedness of singular integral operators, the Littlewood--Paley characterization and wavelet decomposition.
In this note we produce generalized versions of the classical inequalities of Hardy and of Hilbert and we establish their equivalence. Our methods rely on the H^1-BMOA duality. We produce a class of examples to establish that the generalizations are non-trivial.
This paper gives a systematic study of operator-valued local Hardy spaces. These spaces are localizations of the Hardy spaces defined by Tao Mei, and share many properties with Mei's Hardy spaces. We prove the ${\rm h}_1$-$\rm bmo$ duality, as well as the ${\rm h}_p$-${\rm h}_q$ duality for any conjugate pair $(p,q)$ when $1<p< \infty$. We show that ${\rm h}_1(\mathbb{R}^d, \mathcal M)$ and ${\rm bmo}(\mathbb{R}^d, \mathcal M)$ are also good endpoints of $L_p(L_\infty(\mathbb{R}^d) \overline{\otimes} \mathcal M)$ for interpolation. We obtain the local version of Calderón-Zygmund theory, and th…
We give conditions for boundedness of Hausdorff operators on real Hardy spaces $H^1$ over homogeneous spaces of locally compact groups with local doubling property. The special case of the hyperbolic plane is considered.
Let $\mathcal X$ be a complete space of homogeneous type. In this note, we prove that the weak$^*$-convergence is true in the Hardy space $H^1(\mathcal X)$ of Coifman and Weiss.
We prove fractional Hardy--Sobolev--Maz'ya inequality for balls and a half-space, partially answering the open problem posed by Frank and Seiringer [arXiv:0906.1561v1 [math.FA], 2009] We note that for half-spaces this inequality has been recently obtained by Sloane [arXiv:1004.4828v1 [math.FA], 2010].
Results of Liflyand and collaborators on the boundedness of Hausdorff operators on the Hardy space $H^1$ over finite-dimensional real space generalized to the case of locally compact groups that are spaces of homogeneous type. Special cases and examples of compact Lie groups, homogeneous groups (in particular the Heisenberg group) and finite-dimensional spaces over division rings are considered.
We prove a radial maximal function characterisation of the local atomic Hardy space h^1(M) on a Riemannian manifold M with positive injectivity radius and Ricci curvature bounded from below. As a consequence, we show that an integrable function belongs to h^1(M) if and only if either its local heat maximal function or its local Poisson maximal function are integrable. A key ingredient is a decomposition of Hölder cut-offs in terms of an appropriate class of approximations of the identity, which we obtain on arbitrary Ahlfors-regular metric measure spaces and generalises a previous result of A.…
Given a function in the Hardy space of inner harmonic gradients on the sphere, H+(S), we consider the problem of finding a corresponding function in the Hardy space of outer harmonic gradients on the sphere, H-(S), such that the sum of both functions differs from a locally supported vector field only by a tangential divergence-free contribution. We characterize the subspace of H+(S) that allows such a continuation and show that it is dense but not closed within H+(S). Furthermore, we derive the linear mapping that maps a vector field from this subspace of H+(S) to the corresponding unique vect…
We consider the Schrödinger operator $A_ł:=-\D -ł/|x|^2$, $ł\in \rr$, when the singularity is located on the boundary of a smooth domain $Ω\subset \rr^N$, $N\geq 1$ The aim of this Note is two folded. Firstly, we justify the extension of the classical Pohozaev identity for the Laplacian to this case. The problem we address is very much related to Hardy-Poincaré inequalities with boundary singularities. Secondly, the new Pohozaev identity allows to develop the multiplier method for the wave and the Schrödinger equations. In this way we extend to the case of boundary singularities well known obs…
Nonreflexive Banach spaces that are complemented in their bidual by an L-projection - like preduals of von Neumann algebras or the Hardy space $H^1$ - contain, roughly speaking, many copies of $l^1$ which are very close to isometric copies. Such $l^1$-copies are known to fail the fixed point property. Similar dual results hold for $c_0$.
Let $\{F_n\}$ be the sequence of the Fejér kernels on the unit circle $\mathbb{T}$. The first author recently proved that if $X$ is a separable Banach function space on $\mathbb{T}$ such that the Hardy-Littlewood maximal operator $M$ is bounded on its associate space $X'$, then $\|f*F_n-f\|_X\to 0$ for every $f\in X$ as $n\to\infty$. This implies that the set of analytic polynomials $\mathcal{P}_A$ is dense in the abstract Hardy space $H[X]$ built upon a separable Banach function space $X$ such that $M$ is bounded on $X'$. In this note we show that there exists a separable weighted $L^1$ space…
In this note we give several characterisations of weights for two-weight Hardy inequalities to hold on general metric measure spaces possessing polar decompositions. Since there may be no differentiable structure on such spaces, the inequalities are given in the integral form in the spirit of Hardy's original inequality. We give examples obtaining new weighted Hardy inequalities on $\mathbb R^n$, on homogeneous groups, on hyperbolic spaces, and on Cartan-Hadamard manifolds.
In this note we continue giving the characterisation of weights for two-weight Hardy inequalities to hold on general metric measure spaces possessing polar decompositions. Since there may be no differentiable structure on such spaces, the inequalities are given in the integral form in the spirit of Hardy's original inequality. This is a continuation of our paper [M. Ruzhansky and D. Verma. Hardy inequalities on metric measure spaces, Proc. R. Soc. A., 475(2223):20180310, 2018] where we treated the case $p\leq q$. Here the remaining range $p>q$ is considered, namely, $0<q<p$, $1<p<\infty.$ We g…
In this note we establish a vector-valued version of Beurling's Theorem (the Lax-Halmos Theorem) for the polydisc. As an application of the main result, we provide necessary and sufficient conditions for the completion problem in $H^\infty(\mathbb{D}^n)$.
In this paper we introduce variable exponent local Hardy spaces associated with a non-negative self-adjoint operator L. We define them by using an area square integral involving the heat semigroup associated to L. A molecular characterization is established and as an aplication of the molecular characterization we prove that our local Hardy space coincides with the (global) variable exponent Hardy space associated to L, provided that 0 does not belong to the spectrum of L. Also, we show that it coincides with the global variable exponent Hardy space associated to L+I.
Let $X$ be a space of homogeneous type and let $\mathfrak{L}$ be a nonnegative self-adjoint operator on $L^2(X)$ enjoying Gaussian estimates. The main aim of this paper is twofold. Firstly, we prove the (local) nontangential and radial maximal function charaterization for the local Hardy spaces associated to $\mathfrak{L}$. This deduces the maximal function charaterization for local Hardy spaces in the sense of Coifman and Weiss provided that $\mathfrak{L}$ satisfies certain extra conditions. Secondly, we introduce the local Hardy space associated to the critical function $ρ$ which is motivate…
The main aim of this paper is to investigate Paley type and Hardy-Littlewood type inequalities and strong convergence theorem of partial sums of Vilenkin-Fourier series.
We give necessary and sufficient conditions for inhomogeneous Calderón-Zgymund operators to be bounded on the local hardy spaces $h^p(\mathbb{R}^n)$. We then give applications to local and truncated Riesz transforms, as well as pseudo-differential operators defined by amplitudes.
This note presents a proof that the non-tangential maximal function of the Ornstein-Uhlenbeck semigroup is bounded almost surely by the Gaussian Hardy-Littlewood maximal function. In particular this entails improvement on a result by Pineda and Urbina who proved a similar result for a `trunctated' version of the non-tangential maximal function. We actually obtain boundedness of the maximal function on non-tangential cones of arbitrary aperture.
We investigate the class $\mathcal{B}^{loc}(\mathbb{R}^{n})$ of exponents $p(\cdot)$ for with local Hardy-Littlewood maximal operator is bounded in $L^{p(\cdot)}(\mathbb{R}^{n})$ space. Littlewood-Paley square-function characterization of $L^{p(\cdot)}(\mathbb{R}^{n})$ spaces with the above class of exponent are also obtained.
