The paper is revised, according to the referees' suggestions and comments. The definitions of $n$-translation quiver, admissibility are rewritten, and the results related to these definition are revised. The results concerning $n$-almost split sequence is revised. The Section 7 is removed and Section 6 is split into 3 sections. The mistake and typos pointed out are corrected
Motivated by Iyama's higher representation theory, we introduce $n$-translation quivers and $n$-translation algebras. The classical $\mathbb Z Q$ construction of the translation quiver is generalized to construct an $(n+1)$-translation quiver from an $n$-translation quiver, using trivial extension and smash product. We prove that the quadratic dual of $n$-translation algebras have $(n-1)$-almost splitting sequences in the category of its projective modules. We also present a non-Koszul $1$-translation algebra whose trivial extension is $2$-translation algebra, thus also provides a class of examples of $(3,m-1)$-Koszul algebras (and also a class of $(m-1,3)$-Koszul algebras) for all $m \ge 2$.
Koszul duality of translation--and Zuckerman functors
We extend the Koszul calculus defined on quadratic algebras by Berger, Lambre and Solotar, to N-homogeneous algebras. When N>2, the Koszul cup and cap products are defined by specific expressions, and they are compatible with the Koszul differentials, providing associative products on (co)homology classes. The N-Koszul calculus is calculated for the truncated polynomial algebras.
We give Braverman-Gaitsgory style conditions for general PBW deformations of skew group algebras formed from finite groups acting on Koszul algebras. When the characteristic divides the order of the group, this includes deformations of the group action as well as of the Koszul relations.
The universal enveloping algebra $U(\mathfrak{tr}_n)$ of a Lie algebra associated to the classical Yang-Baxter equation was introduced in [BEER06] where it was shown to be Koszul. This algebra appears as the $A_{n-1}$ case in a general class of braided Hopf algebras in [BB09] for any complex reflection group. In this paper, we show that the algebras corresponding to the series $B_n$ and $D_n$, which are again universal enveloping algebras, are Koszul. We further show how results of [BB09] can be used to produce pairs of adjoint functors between categories of rational Cherednik algebra represen…
In this note, we prove the Koszulity of the tensor product algebra defined in the author's previous work for sl(n) and a list of fundamental weights. This is achieved by constructing a graded Morita equivalence between the modules over this algebra and a sum of blocks of category O in type A.
The aim of this paper is to define and study some quasi-hereditary covers for higher zigzag algebras. We will show how these algebras satisfy three different Koszul properties: they are Koszul in the classical sense, standard Koszul and Koszul with respect to the standard module $Δ$, according with the definition given in \cite{Madsen1}. This last property gives rise to a well defined duality and the $Δ$-Koszul dual will be computed as the path algebra of a quiver with relations.
In this article we study higher preprojective algebras, showing that various known results for ordinary preprojective algebras generalize to the higher setting. We first show that the quiver of the higher preprojective algebra is obtained by adding arrows to the quiver of the original algebra, and these arrows can be read off from the last term of the bimodule resolution of the original algebra. In the Koszul case we are able to obtain the new relations of the higher preprojective algebra by differentiating a superpotential and we show that when our original algebra is $d$-hereditary all the r…
We show that the Brauer algebra over the complex numbers for an integral parameter delta can be equipped with a grading, in the case of delta being non-zero turning it into a graded quasi-hereditary algebra. In which case it is Morita equivalent to a Koszul algebra. This is done by realizing the Brauer algebra as an idempotent truncation of a certain level two VW-algebra for some large positive integral parameter N. The parameter delta appears then in the choice of a cyclotomic quotient. This cyclotomic VW-algebra arises naturally as an endomorphism algebra of a certain projective module in pa…
The $N$-Koszul algebras are $N$-homogeneous algebras which satisfy an homological property. These algebras are characterised by their Koszul complex: an $N$-homogeneous algebra is $N$-Koszul if and only if its Koszul complex is acyclic. Methods based on computational approaches were used to prove $N$-Koszulness: an algebra admitting a side-confluent presentation is $N$-Koszul if and only if the extra-condition holds. However, in general, these methods do not provide an explicit contracting homotopy for the Koszul complex. In this article we present a way to construct such a contracting homotop…
Let H be a Hopf algebra and let B be a Koszul H-module algebra. We provide necessary and sufficient conditions for a filtered algebra to be a Poincare-Birkhoff-Witt (PBW) deformation of the smash product algebra B#H. Many examples of these deformations are given.
We generalise Koszul and D-Koszul algebras by introducing a class of graded algebras called (D,A)-stacked algebras. We give a characterisation of (D,A)-stacked algebras and show that their Ext algebra is finitely generated as an algebra in degrees 0, 1, 2 and 3. In the monomial case, we give an explicit description of the Ext algebra by quiver and relations, and show that the ideal of relations has a quadratic Gröbner basis; this enables us to give a regrading of the Ext algebra under which the regraded Ext algebra is a Koszul algebra.
We introduce Koszul modules associated with (graded) Kac-Moody Lie algebras. We provide a precise criterion for when these modules are of finite length. As an exemplary application we deduce a bound on the dimension of the second graded component for a certain class of graded Kac-Moody Lie algebras. We also provide an exact description of all nilpotent Kac-Moody Koszul modules.
For any Koszul Artin-Schelter regular algebra A, we consider a version of the universal Hopf algebra aut(A) coacting on A, introduced by Manin. To study the representations (i.e. finite dimensional comodules) of this Hopf algebra, we use the Tannaka-Krein formalism. Specifically, we construct an explicit combinatorial rigid monoidal category U, equipped with a functor M to finite dimensional vector spaces such that aut(A)= coend_U(M). Using this pair (U,M) we show that aut(A) is quasi-hereditary as a coalgebra and in addition is derived equivalent to the representation category of U.
We introduce the Hochschild extensions of dg algebras, which are $A_\infty$-algebras. We show that all exact Hochschild extensions are symmetric Hochschild extensions, more precisely, every exact Hochschild extension of a finite dimensional complete typical dg algebra is a symmetric $A_\infty$-algebra. Moreover, we prove that the Koszul dual of trivial extension is Calabi-Yau completion and the Koszul dual of exact Hochschild extension is deformed Calabi-Yau completion, more precisely, the Koszul dual of the trivial extension of a finite dimensional complete dg algebra is the Calabi-Yau comple…
We formulate the (co)bar construction theory of dg $K$-(co)rings and the calculus theory of the Hochschild homology and cohomology of dg $K$-rings. As applications, we compare the Hochschild (co)homologies of a complete typical dg $K$-ring and its Koszul dual. Moreover, we show that the Koszul dual of a finite dimensional complete typical $d$-symmetric dg $K$-ring is a $d$-Calabi-Yau dg algebra whose Hochschild cohomology is a Batalin-Vilkovisky algebra. Furthermore, we prove that the Hochschild cohomologies of a finite dimensional complete typical $d$-symmetric dg $K$-ring and its Koszul dual…
In this paper, we define $A_{\infty}$-Koszul duals for directed $A_{\infty}$-categories in terms of twists in their $A_{\infty}$-derived categories. Then, we compute a concrete formula of $A_{\infty}$-Koszul duals for path algebras with directed $A_n$-type Gabriel quivers. To compute an $A_\infty$-Koszul dual of such an algebra $A$, we construct a directed subcategory of a Fukaya category which are $A_\infty$-derived equivalent to the category of $A$-modules and compute Dehn twists as twists. The formula unveils all the ext groups of simple modules of the parh algebras and their higher composi…
Given a finite-dimensional algebra $Λ$ and $A \geqslant 1$, we construct a new algebra $\tildeΛ_A$, called the stretched algebra, and relate the homological properties of $Λ$ and $\tildeΛ_A$. We investigate Hochschild cohomology and the finiteness condition (Fg), and use stratifying ideals to show that $Λ$ has (Fg) if and only if $\tildeΛ_A$ has (Fg). We also consider projective resolutions and apply our results in the case where $Λ$ is a $d$-Koszul algebra for some $d \geqslant 2$.
In this paper we prove that the linear Koszul duality isomorphism for convolution algebras in K-homology defined in a previous paper and the Fourier transform isomorphism for convolution algebras in Borel-Moore homology are related by the Chern character. So, Koszul duality appears as a categorical upgrade of Fourier transform of constructible sheaves. This result explains the connection between the categorification of the Iwahori-Matsumoto involution for graded affine Hecke algebras (due to Evens and the first author) and for usual affine Hecke algebras (obtained in a previous paper).
We show how the use of superalgebraic methods sheds new light on some classical themes of representation theory and it leads to significant simplifications of traditional proofs.
We are concerned with relating derived categories of all modules of two dual Koszul algebras defined by a locally bounded quiver. We first generalize the well known Acyclic Assembly Lemma and formalize an old method of extending a functor from an additive category into a complex category to its complex category. Applying this to the Koszul functor associated with a Koszul algebra defined by a gradable quiver, we obtain a Koszul complex functor, that descends to an equivalence of a continuous family of pairs of triangulated subcategories of doubly unbounded complexes of the respective derived c…
