We provide a simple method for writing the Dirac-Born-Infeld (DBI) equations of a Dp-brane in an arbitrary static background whose metric depends only on the holographic radial coordinate z. Using this method we revisit the Karch-O'Bannon's procedure to calculate the DC conductivity in the presence of constant electric and magnetic fields for backgrounds where the boundary is four or three dimensional and satisfies homogeneity and isotropy. We find a frame-independent expression for the DC conductivity tensor. For particular backgrounds we recover previous results on holographic metals and strange metals.
We investigate some phenomenological aspects of the holographic models based on the tachyon Dirac-Born-Infeld action in the AdS space-time. These holographic theories model strongly interacting fermions and feature dynamical mass generation and symmetry breaking. We show that they can be viewed as models of holographic walking technicolor and compute the Peskin-Takeuchi S-parameter and masses of lightest technimesons for a variety of the tachyon potentials. We also investigate the phase structure at finite temperature and charge density. Finally, we comment on the holographic Wilsonian RG in t…
We obtain precise temperature dependence of three transport coefficients that resembles strange metal: (a) longitudinal electrical conductivity (b) longitudinal thermoelectric conductivity (c) longitudinal thermal conductivity in the absence of magnetic field. This is achieved through one parameter, namely, when the dynamical exponent, $z=4$. Moreover, in the presence of magnetic field, we have cooked up a model where it exhibits the desired temperature dependence of the four transport quantities that resembles strange metal.
In the context of gauge/gravity duals with flavor, we examine heavy-light mesons which involve a heavy and a light quark. For this purpose we embed two D7 brane probes at different positions into the gravity background. We establish the non-Abelian Dirac-Born-Infeld (DBI) action for these probes, in which the U(2) matrix describing the embedding is diagonal. The fluctuations of the brane probes correspond to the mesons. In particular, the off-diagonal elements of the U(2) fluctuation matrix correspond to the heavy-light mesons, while the diagonal elements correspond to the light-light and heav…
We show the kinematic equivalence between cosmological models driven by Dirac-Born-Infeld fields $ϕ$ with constant proper velocity of the brane and exponential potential $V=V_0e^{-Bϕ}$ and interactive cosmological systems with Modified Holographic Ricci type fluids as dark energy in flat Friedmann-Robertson-Walker cosmologies.
We analyze electrostatic potentials in the holographic Schwinger effect. The potential barrier for the pair production is estimated by a static potential consisting of static mass energies, an electric potential from an external electric-field, and the Coulomb potential between a particle and an antiparticle. Given that the Coulomb potential is supposed to be evaluated by the minimal surface attaching on the conformal boundary as usual, the critical field, where the potential barrier vanishes, exhibits a deviation of 30% from the one obtained from the Dirac-Born-Infeld (DBI) action. We reconsi…
We calculate the thermoelectric and thermal conductivity of Einstein-DBI system without the translational symmetry. We show that strictly, the longitudinal component of the thermal conductivity in the vanishing dissipation limit, $k^2\rightarrow 0$, is determined only by the metric components evaluated at the horizon of the black hole in the same limit. The temperature dependence of the transport quantities are obtained for $AdS_4$ and $AdS_2\times R^2$ solutions. The Lorentz ratio and Hall-Lorentz ratio are found to be independent of temperature for $AdS_4$ solution in the low temperature lim…
The RG flow equation of various transport quantities are studied in arbitrary spacetime dimensions, in the fixed as well as fluctuating background geometry both for the Maxwellian and DBI type of actions. The regularity condition on the flow equation of the conductivity at the horizon for the DBI action reproduces naturally the leading order result of {\it Hartnoll et al.}, [{\it JHEP}, {\bf 04}, 120 (2010)]. Motivated by the result of {\it van der Marel et al.}, [{\it science}, {\bf 425}, 271 (2003], we studied, analytically, the conductivity versus frequency plane by dividing it into three d…
We use holography to study Conformal Phase Transitions, which are believed to be realized in four dimensional QCD and play an important role in walking technicolor models of electroweak symmetry breaking. At strong coupling they can be modeled by the non-linear dynamics of a tachyonic scalar field with mass close to the Breitenlohner-Freedman bound in anti de Sitter spacetime. Taking the action for this field to have a Tachyon-Dirac-Born-Infeld form gives rise to models that resemble hard and soft wall AdS/QCD, with a dynamically generated wall. For hard wall models, the highly excited spectru…
We employ gauge-gravity duality to study the backreaction effect of 4-dimensional large-$N$ quantum field theories on constant-curvature backgrounds, and in particular de Sitter space-time. The field theories considered are holographic QFTs, dual to RG flows between UV and IR CFTs. We compute the holographic QFT contribution to the gravitational effective action for 4d Einstein manifold backgrounds. We find that for a given value of the cosmological constant $λ$, there generically exist two backreacted constant-curvature solutions, as long as $λ< λ_{\textrm{max}} \sim M_p^2 / N^2$, otherwise n…
We examine transport in a holographic model in which the dynamics of the charged degrees of freedom is described by the nonlinear Dirac-Born-Infeld (DBI) action. Axionic scalar fields are included to break translational invariance and generate momentum dissipation in the system. Scaling exponents are introduced by using geometries which are nonrelativistic and hyperscaling-violating in the infrared. In the probe DBI limit the theory reproduces the anomalous temperature dependence of the resistivity and Hall angle of the cuprate strange metals, $ρ\sim T$ and $\cotΘ_H \sim T^2$. These scaling la…
D-branes with a U-shaped geometry, like the D8 flavor branes in the Sakai-Sugimoto model of QCD, are encountered frequently in holographic backgrounds. We argue that the commonly used DBI action is inadequate as an effective field theory description of these branes, because it misses a crucial component of the low-energy dynamics: a light complex scalar mode. Following an idea of Erkal, Kutasov and Lunin we elaborate on an effective description based on the abelian tachyon-DBI action which incorporates naturally the non-local physics of the complex scalar mode. We demonstrate its power in a co…
We study the optical conductivity of 1+1 dimensional systems using soft wall model in the bottom up approach of AdS/CFT (anti-de Sitter/conformal field theory) duality. We find the numerical results for optical conductivity and investigate the system using holographic model in the probe limit. The dependence of conductivity on chemical potential is also investigated. Further, we extend the soft wall model as a `no-wall' model by eliminating the dilaton background and study the response of the system in a simplified approach.
In this article we have analytically deduced the frequency dependent expression of conductivity and the band gap energy in $AdS_{4}$ Schwarzschild background for p-wave holographic superconductors considering Einstein-Yang-Mills theory. We also used the self consistent approach to obtain the expressions of conductivity for different frequency ranges at low temperature. We then compared the imaginary part of conductivity at low frequency region. The band gap energy obtained from these two methods seem to agree very well.
In this paper, we have analytically computed the conductivity of holographic superconductors in the framework of Born-Infeld electrodynamics taking into account the backreaction of the matter fields on the bulk spacetime metric. The effect of the Born-Infeld electrodynamics is incorporated in the metric. The band gap energy is found to be corrected by the backreaction and Born-Infeld parameters. The conductivity expression is then compared with that obtained from a self consistent approach.
The consequences of the Schwinger effect for conductivity is computed for strong coupling systems using holography. The one loop diagram on the flavor brane introduces an $O({λ\over N_c})$ imaginary part in the effective action for a Maxwell flavor gauge field. This in turn introduces a real conductivity in an otherwise insulating phase of the boundary theory. Moreover in certain regions of parameter space the differential conductivity is negative. This is computed in the context of the Sakai-Sugimoto model.
In this paper, we have investigated the Meissner effect of holographic superconductors in the presence of Dirac-Born-Infeld electrodynamics. The matching method is applied to obtain the critical magnetic field and the critical temperature. The critical magnetic field obtained from this investigation shows the effects of the DBI parameter $b$ and differs from that obtained from Born electrodynamics because of the extra $\vec{E}.\vec{B}$ term in the Dirac-Born-Infeld theory. It is observed that the critical magnetic field increases in Dirac-Born-Infeld theory compared to that in the Born theory.
In this paper we consider non-commutative Sakai-Sugimoto model by using D8-branes probing the background generated by D4-branes with an NSNS B-field turned on. We study response of the system to external electric field which could be parallel to orthogonal to the background B-field. We compute the conductivity as a function of temperature and non-commutativity parameters. Non-commutativity effect, depending on the relative orientation of external and background electromagnetic fields, may increase or decrease the conductivity.
The DC resistivity of charge density waves weakly-pinned by disorder is controlled by diffusive, incoherent processes rather than slow momentum relaxation. The corresponding incoherent conductivity can be computed in the limit of zero disorder. We compute this transport coefficient in holographic spatially modulated breaking translations spontaneously. As a by-product of our analysis, we clarify how the boundary heat current is obtained from a conserved bulk current, defined as a suitable generalization of the Iyer-Wald Noether current of the appropriate Killing vector.
We consider non-linear massive gravity with two Stückelberg fields in which the diffeomorphism invariance is broken spontaneously in two of the spacetime directions. This theory admits a charged anti-de Sitter black brane solution and has recently been used in holographic context as a bulk description of a boundary field theory with momentum dissipation. Here we study the stability of the black brane solution. We identify the physical degrees of freedom and determine the healthy regions of the parameter space of the theory. We find that there is a region in parameter space, where the theory su…
Using the recently found by G. Horowitz and M. Roberts (arXiv:0908.3677) numerical model of the ground state of holographic superconductors (at zero temperature), we calculate the conductivity for such models. The universal relation connecting conductivity with the reflection coefficient was used for finding the conductivity by the WKB approach. The dependence of the conductivity on the frequency and charge density is discussed. Numerical calculations confirm the general arguments of (arXiv:0908.3677) in favor of non-zero conductivity even at zero temperature. In addition to the Horowitz-Rober…
We study transport coefficients of strongly coupled gauge theory in the presence of multiple chemical potential which are dual to rotating D3, M2 and M5 brane. Using the general form of the perturbation equations, we compute DC-electrical conductivity at finite temperature as well as at zero temperature. We also study thermal conductivity for the same class of black holes and show that thermal conductivity and viscosity obeys Wiedemann-Franz like law even in the presence of multiple chemical potential.

We analyze the charge diffusion and conductivity in a Dp/Dq holographic setup that is dual to a supersymmetric Yang-Mills theory in p+1 dimensions with N_f<< N_c flavour degrees of freedom at finite temperature and nonvanishing U(1) baryon number chemical potential. We provide a new derivation of the results that generalize the membrane paradigm to the present context. We perform a numerical analysis in the particular case of the D3/D7 flavor system. The results obtained support the validity of the Einstein relation at finite chemical potential.
Within holography the DC conductivity can be obtained by solving a system of Stokes equations for an auxiliary fluid living on the black hole horizon. We show that these equations can be derived from a novel variational principle involving a functional that depends on the fluid variables of interest as well as the time reversed quantities. This leads to simple derivation of the Onsager relations for the conductivity. We also obtain the relevant Stokes equations for bulk theories of gravity in four dimensions including a $\vartheta F\wedge F$ term in the Lagrangian, where $\vartheta$ is a funct…
We analytically as well as numerically disclose the effects of the higher order correction terms in the gravity and in the gauge field on the properties of $s$-wave holographic superconductors. On the gravity side, we consider the higher curvature Gauss-Bonnet corrections and on the gauge field side, we add a quadratic correction term to the Maxwell Lagrangian. We show that for this system, one can still obtain an analytical relation between the critical temperature and the charge density. We also calculate the critical exponent and the condensation value both analytically and numerically. We …
We disclose the effects of the logarithmic nonlinear electrodynamics on the holographic conductivity of Lifshitz dilaton black holes/branes. We analyze thermodynamics of these solutions as a necessary requirement for applying gauge/gravity duality, by calculating conserved and thermodynamic quantities such as the temperature, entropy, electric potential and mass of the black holes/branes. We calculate the holographic conductivity for a $(2+1)$-dimensional brane boundary and study its behavior in terms of the frequency per temperature. Interestingly enough, we find out that, in contrast to the …
For conformal field theories which admit a dual gravitational description in anti-de Sitter space, electrical transport properties, such as conductivity and charge diffusion, are determined by the dynamics of a U(1) gauge field in the bulk and thus obey universality relations at the classical level due to the uniqueness of the Maxwell action. We analyze corrections to these transport parameters due to higher-dimension operators in the bulk action, beyond the leading Maxwell term, of which the most significant involves a coupling to the bulk Weyl tensor. We show that the ensuing corrections to …
We compute the longitudinal and Hall conductivities in the parallel phase of the Sakai-Sugimoto model with a transverse magnetic field. We find that the conductivities behave as if the charge of the system is made out of two different types; one behaves as charge carriers flowing through a dissipative neutral medium, while the other does not feel the dissipation. We also investigate the case of an electric field parallel to the magnetic field and find that in this case the system behaves as a perfect conductor. Both of the unusual behaviors stem from the axial anomaly.
We consider holographic superconductors related to the Schwarzschild black hole in the low energy limit of Hořava-Lifshitz spacetime. The non-relativistic electromagnetic and scalar fields are introduced to construct a holographic superconductor model in Hořava-Lifshitz gravity and the results show that the $α_2$ term plays an important role, modifying the conductivity curve line by means of an attenuation the conductivity.
The dynamics of a two-dimensional superconductor under a constant electric field $E$ is studied by using the gauge/gravity correspondence. The pair breaking current induced by $E$ first increases to a peak value and then decreases to a constant value at late time, where the superconducting gap goes to zero, corresponding to a normal conducting phase. The peak value of the current is found to increase linearly with respect to the electric field. Moreover, the nonlinear conductivity, defined as an average of the conductivity in the superconducting phase, scales as $\sim E^{-2/3}$ for large $E$ w…
We study the effects of the Chern-Simons term in the hydrodynamics of the five-dimensional Reissner-Nordstrom-AdS background. We work out the decoupling problem of the equations of motion and calculate the retarded Green functions explicitly. We then find that the Chern-Simons term induces the magnetic conductivity caused by the anomaly effect. It is increasing function of temperature running from a non-zero value at zero temperature to the twice the value at infinite temperature.
We give a review on our recent work arXiv:1006.0779 [hep-th] and arXiv:1006.1719 [hep-th], in which properties of holographic strange metals were investigated. The background is chosen to be anisotropic scaling solution in Einstein-Maxwell-Dilaton theory with a Liouville potential. The effects of bulk Maxwell field, an extra U(1) gauge field and probe D-branes on the DC conductivity, the DC Hall conductivity and the AC conductivity are extensively analyzed. We classify behaviors of the conductivities according to the parameter ranges in the bulk theory and characterize conditions when the holo…
We investigate analytically as well as numerically effects of nonlinear Born-Infeld (BI) electrodynamics on the properties of (1+1)-dimensional holographic $p$-wave superconductor in the context of gauge/gravity duality. We consider the case in which the gauge and vector fields backreact on the background geometry. We apply the Sturm-Liouville eigenvalue problem for the analytical approach as well as the shooting method for the numerical calculations. In both methods, we find out the relation between critical temperature $T_{c}$ and chemical potential $μ$ and show that both approaches are in g…
We present a simple holographic model of an insulator. Unlike most previous holographic insulators, the zero temperature infrared geometry is completely nonsingular. Both the low temperature DC conductivity and the optical conductivity at zero temperature satisfy power laws with the same exponent, given by the scaling dimension of an operator in the IR. Changing a parameter in the model converts it from an insulator to a conductor with a standard Drude peak.
The full description of a superconductor requires that it has an infinite DC conductivity (or zero electrical resistivity) as well as expels the external magnetic fields. Thus, for any holographic superconductor which is dual to a real superconductor, it is necessary to examine, simultaneously, these two features based on the gauge/gravity duality. In this paper, we explore numerically these two aspects of the higher dimensional holographic superconductors, in the presence of a Power-Maxwell electrodynamics as the gauge field. At first, we calculate the critical temperature, condensation, cond…
We obtain a new class of topological black hole solutions in $(n+1)$-dimensional massive gravity in the presence of the power-Maxwell electrodynamics. We calculate the conserved and thermodynamic quantities of the system and show that the first law of thermodynamics is satisfied on the horizon. Then, we investigate the holographic conductivity for the four and five dimensional black brane solutions. For completeness, we study the holographic conductivity for both massless ($m=0$) and massive ($m \neq 0$) gravities with power-Maxwell field. The massless gravity enjoys translational symmetry whe…
We consider a holographic model with the charge current dual to a general nonlinear electrodynamics (NLED) field. Taking into account the backreaction of the NLED field on the geometry and introducing axionic scalars to generate momentum dissipation, we obtain expressions for DC conductivities with a finite magnetic field. The properties of the in-plane resistance are examined in several NLED models. For Maxwell-Chern-Simons electrodynamics, negative magneto-resistance and Mott-like behavior could appear in some parameter space region. Depending on the sign of the parameters, we expect the NLE…
The main purpose of this paper is to holographically study the behavior of conductivity in 2+1 dimensional disordered systems. We analyze probe D-brane systems in AdS/CFT with random closed string and open string background fields. We give a prescription of calculating the DC conductivity holographically in disordered systems. In particular, we find an analytical formula of the conductivity in the presence of codimension one randomness. We also systematically study the AC conductivity in various probe brane setups without disorder and find analogues of Mott insulators.
We investigate the perturbative (in $g_s N_{D8}$) backreaction of localized D8 branes in D4-D8 systems including in particular the Sakai Sugimoto model. We write down the explicit expressions of the backreacted metric, dilaton and RR form. We find that the backreaction remains small up to a radial value of $u \ll \ell_s/(g_s N_{D8})$, and that the background functions are smooth except at the D8 sources. In this perturbative window, the original embedding remains a solution to the equations of motion. Furthermore, the fluctuations around the original embedding, describing scalar mesons, do not…
We calculate the ${α'}^4$ corrections to the non-Abelian DBI action on the D8-brane in the holographic dual of large N_c QCD proposed by Sakai and Sugimoto. These give rise to higher derivative terms, in particular, four derivative contact terms for the pion field with the coupling uniquely determined. We calculate the pion-pion scattering amplitude near threshold. The results respecting unitarity are in qualitative agreement with the experimental curves.
We investigate the holographic $p$-wave superconductors in the presence of the higher order corrections on the gravity as well as on the gauge field side. On the gravity side, we add the Gauss-Bonnet curvature correction terms, while on the gauge field side we take the nonlinear Lagrangian in the form $F + b F^2$, where F is the Maxwell Lagrangian and b indicates the strength of nonlinearity. We employ the shooting method for the numerical calculations in order to obtain the ratio of the critical temperature $T_c$ over $ρ^ {1/(d-2)}$. We observe that by increasing the values of the mass and th…
We consider the gravity dual of strongly coupled system at a Lifshitz-fixed point and finite temperature, which was constructed in a recent work arXiv:0909.0263. We construct an Abelian Higgs model in that background and calculate condensation and conductivity using holographic techniques. We find that condensation happens and DC conductivity blows up when temperature turns below a critical value.
We investigate properties of holographic strange metals in $p+2$-dimensions, generalizing the analysis performed in arXiv:0912.1061. The bulk spacetime is $p+2$-dimensional Lifshitz black hole, while the role of charge carriers is played by probe D-branes. We mainly focus on massless charge carriers, where most of the results can be obtained analytically. We obtain exact results for the free energy and calculate the entropy density, the heat capacity as well as the speed of sound at low temperature. We obtain the DC conductivity and DC Hall conductivity and find that the DC conductivity takes …
The electric conductivity and direct photons emission rate are considered in the holographic theory with two types of anisotropy. The electric conductivity is derived in two different ways, and their equivalence for the twice anisotropic theory is shown. Numerical calculations of the electric conductivity were done for Einstein-dilaton-three-Maxwell holographic model [29]. The dependence of the conductivity on the temperature, the chemical potential, the external magnetic field, and the spatial anisotropy of the heavy-ions collision (HIC) is studied. The electric conductivity jumps near the fi…
We study certain features of a strongly coupled theory whose gravitational dual is given by two-charge dilatonic black hole in AdS5 which has recently been used to study holographic Fermi liquids. By making use of the gravity description, we have studied conductivity, holographic entanglement entropy and dynamics of a charged scalar field. In particular at low energy we find that the temperature dependence of the real part of the conductivity goes as T^3 and the background is stable against scalar condensations.
In this paper we consider the holographic DC and Hall conductivity in Einstein-Maxwell-Dilaton in Gauss-Bonnet gravity with momentum dissipation. We analytically derived the DC conductivity and Hall conductivity from the black horizon data, and found that the conductivities are independent on the Gauss-Bonnet coupling. We also used the entropy function formalism to get the conductivities in terms of the charge of the black hole, even without knowing the explicit black hole solutions.
We clarify the mechanism for negative differential conductivity in holographic conductors. Negative differential conductivity is a phenomenon in which the electric field decreses with the increase of the current. This phenomenon is widely observed in strongly correlated insulators, and it has been known that some models of AdS/CFT correspondence (holographic conductors) reproduces this behaviour. We study the mechanism for negative differential conductivity in holographic conductors by analyzing the lifetime of the bound states of the charge carriers. We find that when the system exhibits nega…
We add a gravitational background lattice to the simplest holographic model of matter at finite density and calculate the optical conductivity. With the lattice, the zero frequency delta function found in previous calculations (resulting from translation invariance) is broadened and the DC conductivity is finite. The optical conductivity exhibits a Drude peak with a cross-over to power-law behavior at higher frequencies. Surprisingly, these results bear a strong resemblance to the properties of some of the cuprates.
We construct a holographic p-wave superconductor model in the framework of quasi-topological gravity in the probe limit. The relation between the critical temperature and the coupling parameters of higher curvature terms is investigated. The numerical results for conductivity are presented as well. It turns out that our data fits the Drude model very well in the low frequency limit, and the values of DC conductivity as well as the relaxation time are obtained numerically.
In this paper, we show universal relations among the transport coefficients by calculating the electrical conductivity, thermal conductivity and thermo-electric conductivity in the presence of a chemical potential and magnetic fields for Einstein-Maxwell-dilaton-axion system in arbitrary but even dimensional bulk spacetime as well as for Einstein-DBI-dilaton-axion system in $3+1$ dimensional bulk spacetime. Moreover, we have also obtained a new hyperscale violating black hole solution with finite charge density and magnetic fields but with a trivial dilaton field at IR.
In this work we discuss the low temperature ($T$) behavior of gauge field correlators with finite momentum (k) in a $AdS^4$ black hole background. At low temperature, a substantial non-zero conductivity is only possible for a frequency range $ω>ω_g=k$. This tallies with the simple fact that at least an amount of energy $ω_g$ is needed to create an excitation of momentum $k$. Due to the existence of this ``gap'',one may expect that at zero frequency limit the real part of momentum dependent conductivity falls exponentially with $\frac{1}{T}$. Using analytic methods, we found a $\exp(-\frac{ω_c}…
We consider a holographic superconductor with homogeneous impurities added. We start with the holographic Abelian-Higgs model for s-wave superconductivity, and turn on a coupling between the gauge field and a new massive gauge field that is introduced for impurities, whose effect is examined in the probe limit. We find that the condensation of the massive gauge field is induced in the superconducting phase. When the coupling is sufficiently large, the mass gap in the optical conductivity disappears. A resonance peak is found in the conductivity for the massive vector field.
We construct the Einstein-axions AdS black hole from Born-Infeld electrodynamics. Various DC transport coefficients of the dual boundary theory are computed. The DC electric conductivity depends on the temperature, which is a novel property comparing to that in RN-AdS black hole. The DC electric conductivity are positive at zero temperature while the thermal conductivity vanishes, which implies that the dual system is an electrical metal but thermal insulator. The effects of Born-Infeld parameter on the transport coefficients are analyzed. Finally, we study the AC electric conductivity from Bo…
Recent progress in the holographic approach makes it more transparent that each conductivity can be decomposed into the coherent contribution due to momentum relaxation and the incoherent contribution due to intrinsic current relaxation. In this paper we investigate this decomposition in the framework of Einstein-Maxwell-dilaton theory. We derive the perturbation equations, which are decoupled for a large class of background solutions, and then obtain the analytic results of conductivity with the slow momentum relaxation in low frequency approximation, which is consistent with the known result…
In this master's thesis the Einstein-Maxwell-Dilaton theory is used to model the dynamics of 2+1-dimensional, strongly coupled, large-$N$ quantum field theories with intrinsic T-violation, at finite density and temperature, in the presence of a magnetic field. We include axion fields in order to introduce momentum relaxation. We find analytic expressions for the DC conductivity and present numerical results for the AC conductivity. We also classify the IR-asymptotic hyperscaling violating solutions of the theory.
We examine magnetotransport in a holographic Dirac-Born-Infeld model, taking into account the effects of backreaction on the geometry. The theory we consider includes axionic scalars, introduced to break translational symmetry and generate momentum dissipation. The generic structure of the DC conductivity matrix for these theories is extremely rich, and is significantly more complex than that obtained in the probe approximation. We find new classes of black brane solutions, including geometries that exhibit Lifshitz scaling and hyperscaling violation, and examine their implications on the tran…
We present the new method to calculate the critical temperature as a function of $Δ$, conformal dimension of the cooper operator. We find that, in the regime $1/2\leq Δ<1$ where the AC conductivity does not show a gap, the critical temperature is not well defined. We also got expression of AC conductivity for $Δ=2$, which agrees with numerical result in the probe approximation.
