Crystalline graded rings are generalizations of certain classes of rings like generalized twisted group rings, generalized Weyl algebras, and generalized skew crossed products. When the base ring is a commutative Dedekind domain, two constructions are given for producing maximal graded orders. On the way, a new concept appears, so-called, spectrally twisted group. Some general properties of it are studied. At the end of the paper several examples are considered.
In the first section of the paper, we will give some basic definitions and properties about Crystalline Graded Rings. In the following section we will provide a general description of the center. Afterwards, the case where the grading group is Abelian finite will be handled. The center will have some properties of a crystalline graded ring, but not all. We will call this Arithmetically Crystalline Graded. The center is crystalline graded if the part of degree zero is a principal ideal domain. The last section deals with the case where the grading group is non-Abelian finite. Since this situati…
The global dimension of a ring governs many useful abilities. For example, it is semi-simple if the global dimension is 0, hereditary if it is 1 and so on. We will calculate the global dimension of a Crystalline Graded Ring, as defined in the paper by E. Nauwelaerts and F. Van Oystaeyen, Introducing Crystalline Graded Algebras, Algebras and Representation Theory vol 11(2008), no. 2, 133--148.. We will apply this to derive a condition for the Crystalline Graded Ring to be semiprime. In the last section, we give a little bit of attention to the Krull-dimension.
We introduce a new class of graded rings extending the class of generalized Weyl algebras. These rings are orders in crossed products of the most general type, and we introduce their basic structure theory. We provide an extensive list of examples, some completely new but also some considered earlier, and highlight some specific structure results. Many new and interesting problems about the crystalline graded rings may be identified.
The purpose of this paper is to determine all maximal graded subalgebras of the four infinite series of finite-dimensional graded Lie superalgebras of odd Cartan type over an algebraically closed field of characteristic $p>3$. All maximal graded subalgebras consist of three types (\MyRoman{1}), (\MyRoman{2}) and (\MyRoman{3}). Maximal graded subalgebras of type (\MyRoman{3}) fall into reducible maximal graded subalgebras and irreducible maximal graded subalgebras. In this paper we classify maximal graded subalgebras of types (\MyRoman{1}), (\MyRoman{2}) and reducible maximal g raded subalgebra…
We describe the isomorphism classes of infinite-dimensional graded Lie algebras of maximal class, generated by elements of weight one, over fields of odd characteristic.
We describe the isomorphism classes of certain infinite-dimensional graded Lie algebras of maximal class, generated by an element of weight one and an element of weight two, over fields of odd characteristic.
The present article is a part of the study of solvable Leibniz algebras with a given nilradical. In this paper solvable Leibniz algebras, whose nilradicals is naturally graded $p$-filiform non-Lie Leibniz algebra $(n-p\geq4)$ and the complemented space to nilradical has maximal dimension, are described up to isomorphism. Moreover, among obtained algebras we indicate the rigid and complete algebras
Let $E$ be an arbitrary directed graph and let $L$ be the Leavitt path algebra of the graph $E$ over a field $K$. The necessary and sufficient con- ditions are given to assure the existence of a maximal ideal in $L$ and also the necessary and sufficient conditions on the graph which assure that every ideal is contained in a maximal ideal is given. It is shown that if a maximal ideal $M$ of $L$ is non-graded, then the largest graded ideal in $M$ , namely $gr(M )$, is also maximal among the graded ideals of $L$. Moreover, if $L$ has a unique maximal ideal $M$ , then $M$ must be a graded ideal. T…
The motivation for this paper has been to study the relation between the zero component of the maximal graded algebra of quotients and the maximal graded algebra of quotients of the zero component, both in the Lie case and when considering Martindale algebras of quotients in the associative setting. We apply our results to prove that the finitary complex Lie algebras are (graded) strongly nondegenerate and compute their maximal algebras of quotients.
In Fialowski's classification for algebras of maximal class, there are three Lie algebras of maximal class with 1-dimensional homogeneous components: $\mathfrak{m}_0$, $L_1$ and $\mathfrak{m}_2$. In this paper, we studied their biderivations by considering the embedded mapping to derivation algebras. Then we determined commuting mappings on these algebras as an application of biderivations. Finally, local and 2-local derivations for these three algebras were characterized as the given gradings.
The maximal graded subalgebras for four families of Lie superalgebras of Cartan type over a field of prime characteristic are studied. All maximal reducible graded subalgebras are described completely and their isomorphism classes, dimension formulas are found. The classification of maximal irreducible graded subalgebras is reduced to the classification of the maximal irreducible subalgebras for the classical Lie superalgebras $\frak{gl}(m,n)$, $\frak{sl}(m,n)$ and $\frak{osp}(m,n)$.
We compute the cohomology with trivial coefficients of Lie algebras $\mathfrak{m}_0$ and $\mathfrak{m}_2$ of maximal class over the field $\mathbb{Z}_2$. In the infinite-dimensional case, we show that the cohomology rings $H^*(\mathfrak{m}_0)$ and $H^*(\mathfrak{m}_2)$ are isomorphic, in contrast with the case of the ground field of characteristic zero, and we obtain a complete description of them. In the finite-dimensional case, we find the first three Betti numbers of $\mathfrak{m}_0(n)$ and $\mathfrak{m}_2(n)$ over $\mathbb{Z}_2$.
We compute the cohomology with trivial coefficients of two graded infinite-dimensional Lie algebras of maximal class, give explicit formulas for their representative cocycles. Also we discuss the relations with combinatorics and representation theory.
In this paper we provide necessary and sufficient conditions for strongly group graded rings to be simple. For a strongly group graded ring $R = \bigoplus_{g\in G} R_g$ the grading group $G$ acts, in a natural way, as automorphisms of the commutant of the neutral component subring $R_e$ in $R$ and of the center of $R_e$. We show that if $R$ is a strongly $G$-graded ring where $R_e$ is maximal commutative in $R$, then $R$ is a simple ring if and only if $R_e$ is $G$-simple (i.e. there are no nontrivial $G$-invariant ideals). We also show that if $R_e$ is commutative (not necessarily maximal com…
In this paper solvable Leibniz algebras with naturally graded non-Lie $p$-filiform $(n-p\geq4)$ nilradical and with one-dimensional complemented space of nilradical are described. Moreover, solvable Leibniz algebras with abelian nilradical and extremal (minimal, maximal) dimensions of complemented space nilradical are studied. The rigidity of solvable Leibniz algebras with abelian nilradical and maximal dimension of its complemented space is proved.
We compute explicitly the adjoint cohomology of two N-graded Lie algebras of maximal class (infinite dimensional filiform Lie algebras) m_0 and m_2. It is known that up to an isomorphism there are only three N-graded Lie algebras of the maximal class. The third algebra from this list is the "positive" part L_1 of the Witt (or Virasoro) algebra and its adjoint cohomology was computed earlier by Feigin and Fukhs. We show that the total space H*(m_j,m_j) is "almost" isomorphic to the completed tensor product of the algebra m_j by scalar cohomology space H^*(m_j), j=0,2.
Tilting objects play a key role in the study of triangulated categories. A famous result due to Iyama and Takahashi asserts that the stable categories of graded maximal Cohen-Macaulay modules over quotient singularities have tilting objects. This paper proves a noncommutative generalization of Iyama and Takahashi's theorem using noncommutative algebraic geometry. Namely, if $S$ is a noetherian AS-regular Koszul algebra and $G$ is a finite group acting on $S$ such that $S^G$ is a "Gorenstein isolated singularity", then the stable category ${\underline {\operatorname {CM}}}^{\Bbb Z}(S^G)$ of gra…
Thin Lie algebras are infinite-dimensional graded Lie algebras $L=\bigoplus_{i=1}^{\infty}$, with $\dim(L_1)=2$ and satisfying a covering property: for each $i$, each nonzero $z\in L_i$ satisfies $[zL_1]=L_{i+1}$. It follows that each homogeneous components $L_i$ is either one- or two-dimensional, and in the latter case is called a diamond. Hence $L_1$ is a diamond, and if there are no other diamonds then $L$ is a graded Lie algebra of maximal class. We present simpler proofs of some fundamental facts on graded Lie algebras of maximal class, and on thin Lie algebras, based on a uniform method,…
For every field $F$ which has a quadratic extension $E$ we show there are non-metabelian infinite-dimensional thin graded Lie algebras all of whose homogeneous components, except the second one, have dimension $2$. We construct such Lie algebras as $F$-subalgebras of Lie algebras $M$ of maximal class over $E$. We characterise the thin Lie $F$-subalgebras of $M$ generated in degree $1$. Moreover we show that every thin Lie algebra $L$ whose ring of graded endomorphisms of degree zero of $L^3$ is a quadratic extension of $F$ can be obtained in this Lie algebra of maximal class over $E$ which are…
We study properties of graded maximal Cohen-Macaulay modules over an N-graded locally finite, Auslander Gorenstein, and Cohen-Macaulay algebra of dimension two. As a consequence, we extend a part of McKay correspondence in dimension two to a more general setting.
Let P a locally finite partially ordered set, F a field, G a group, and I(P,F) the incidence algebra of P over F. We describe all the inequivalent elementary G-gradings on this algebra. If P is bounded, F is a infinite field of characteristic zero, and A, B are both elementary G-graded incidence algebras satisfying the same G-graded polynomial identities, and the automorphisms group of P acts transitively on the maximal chains of P , we show that A and B are graded isomorphic.
We show that if a groupoid graded ring has a certain nonzero ideal property and the principal component of the ring is commutative, then the intersection of a nonzero twosided ideal of the ring with the commutant of the principal component of the ring is nonzero. Furthermore, we show that for a skew groupoid ring with commutative principal component, the principal component is maximal commutative if and only if it is intersected nontrivially by each nonzero ideal of the skew groupoid ring. We also determine the center of strongly groupoid graded rings in terms of an action on the ring induced …
We study the structure of a $3-$Leibniz algebra $T$ graded by an arbitrary abelian group $G,$ which is considered of arbitrary dimension and over an arbitrary base field $\bbbf.$ We show that $T$ is of the form $T=\uu\oplus\sum_jI_j,$ with $\uu$ a linear subspace of $T_1,$ the homogeneous component associated to the unit element $1$ in $G,$ and any $I_j$ a well described graded ideal of $T,$ satisfying $$ [I_j, T, I_k] = [I_j, I_k, T] = [T, I_j, I_k] = 0, $$ if $j\neq k.$ In the case of $T$ being of maximal length, we characterize the gr-simplicity of the algebra in terms of connections in the…
Any simple group-grading of a finite dimensional complex algebra induces a natural family of digraphs. We prove that $|E\circ E^{\text{op}}\cup E^{\text{op}}\circ E|\geq |E|$ for any digraph $Γ=(V,E)$ without parallel edges, and deduce that for any simple group-grading, the dimension of the trivial component is maximal.
We show that if a groupoid graded ring has a certain nonzero ideal property, then the commutant of the center of the principal component of the ring has the ideal intersection property, that is it intersects nontrivially every nonzero ideal of the ring. Furthermore, we show that for skew groupoid algebras with commutative principal component, the principal component is maximal commutative if and only if it has the ideal intersection property.
We study quantum Schubert varieties from the point of view of regularity conditions. More precisely, we show that these rings are domains which are maximal orders and are AS-Cohen-Macaulay and we determine which of them are AS-Gorenstein. One key fact that enables us to prove these results is that quantum Schubert varieties are quantum graded algebras with a straightening law that have a unique minimal element in the defining poset. We prove a general result showing when such quantum graded algebras are maximal orders. Finally, we exploit these results to show that quantum determinantal rings …
We study symplectic structures on filiform Lie algebras -- nilpotent Lie algebras of the maximal length of the descending central sequence. In the present article we classify the Lie algebras with the structure relations of the following form: $$[e_i,e_j]=(j-i)e_{i+j}+\sum_{l{=}1}c_{ij}^l e_{i+j+l}, i+j \le n.$$ In even dimensions the subspace of symplectic Lie algebras has the codimension one.
We continue our study of the McKay Correspondence for grading preserving actions of semisimple Hopf algebras H on (noncommutative) Artin-Schelter regular algebras A. Here, we establish correspondences between module categories over A^H, over A\#H, and over \End_{A^H} A. We also study homological properties of (endomorphism rings of) maximal Cohen-Macaulay modules over A^H.
We study complex projective varieties that parametrize (finite-dimensional) filiform Lie algebras over C, using equations derived by Millionshchikov. In the infinite-dimensional case we concentrate our attention on N-graded Lie algebras of maximal class. As shown by A. Fialowski (see also [shalev:97], [millionshchikov:04]) there are only three isomorphism types of N-graded Lie algebras $L=\oplus^{\infty}_{i=1} L_i$ of maximal class generated by L_1 and L_2, L=<L_1,L_2>. Vergne described the structure of these algebras with the property L=<L_1>. In this paper we study those generated by the fir…
The problem of determining when a (classical) crossed product $T=S^f*G$ of a finite group $G$ over a discrete valuation ring $S$ is a maximal order, was answered in the 1960's for the case where $S$ is tamely ramified over the subring of invariants $S^G$. The answer was given in terms of the conductor subgroup (with respect to $f$) of the inertia. In this paper we solve this problem in general when $S/S^G$ is residually separable. We show that the maximal order property entails a restrictive structure on the sub-crossed product graded by the inertia subgroup. In particular, the inertia is abel…
Let $X$ be a connected component of the maximal orthogonal grassmannian of a generic $n$-dimensional quadratic form $q$ with trivial Clifford invariant. Consider the canonical epimorphism $ϕ$ from the Chow ring of $X$ to the associated graded ring of the coniveau filtration on the Grothendieck ring of $X$. In \cite{Kar2018} Karpenko proved that $ϕ$ is an isomorphism for all $n\leq 12$ (conjecturally for all $n$). Recently, in \cite{Yagita} Yagita showed that $ϕ$ is not an isomorphism for $n=17, 18$. In the present paper, together with Yagita's results for $n=17,18$, we show that the map $ϕ$ is…
We develop the theory of a category ${\mathscr C}_A$ which is a generalisation to non-restricted ${\mathfrak g}$-modules of a category famously studied by Andersen, Jantzen and Soergel for restricted ${\mathfrak g}$-modules, where ${\mathfrak g}$ is the Lie algebra of a reductive group $G$ over an algebraically closed field ${\mathbb K}$ of characteristic $p>0$. Its objects are certain graded bimodules. On the left, they are graded modules over an algebra $U_χ$ associated to ${\mathfrak g}$ and to $χ\in{\mathfrak g}^{*}$ in standard Levi form. On the right, they are modules over a commutative …
We introduce the notion of the twisted Segre product $A\circ_ψB$ of $\mathbb Z$-graded algebras $A$ and $B$ with respect to a twisting map $ψ$. It is proved that if $A$ and $B$ are noetherian Koszul Artin-Schelter regular algebras and $ψ$ is a twisting map such that the twisted Segre product $A\circ_ψB$ is noetherian, then $A\circ_ψB$ is a noncommutative graded isolated singularity. To prove this result, the notion of densely (bi-)graded algebras is introduced. Moreover, we show that the twisted Segre product $A\circ_ψB$ of $A=k[u,v]$ and $B=k[x,y]$ with respect to a diagonal twisting map $ψ$ …
In this paper, we present a new connection between representation theory of noncommutative hypersurfaces and combinatorics. Let $S$ be a graded ($\pm 1$)-skew polynomial algebra in $n$ variables of degree $1$ and $f =x_1^2 + \cdots +x_n^2 \in S$. We prove that the stable category $\mathsf{\underline{CM}}^{\mathbb Z}(S/(f))$ of graded maximal Cohen--Macaulay module over $S/(f)$ can be completely computed using the four graphical operations. As a consequence, $\mathsf{\underline{CM}}^{\mathbb Z}(S/(f))$ is equivalent to the derived category $\mathsf{D^b}(\operatorname{\mathsf{mod}} k^{2^r})$, an…
