Both transport $τ_{tr}$ and elastic scattering times $τ_{e}$ are experimentally determined from the carrier density dependence of the magnetoconductance of monolayer and bilayer graphene. Both times and their dependences in carrier density are found to be very different in the monolayer and the bilayer. However their ratio $τ_{tr}/τ_{e} $is found to be of the order of $1.5 $ in both systems and independent of the carrier density. These measurements give insight on the nature (neutral or charged) and spatial extent of the scattering centers. Comparison with theoretical predictions yields that the main scattering mechanism in our graphene samples could be due to strong scatterers of short range, inducing resonant scattering, a likely candidate being vacancies.
We study the problem of non-magnetic impurities adsorbed on bilayer graphene in the diluted regime. We analyze the impurity spectral densities for various concentrations and gate fields. We also analyze the effect of the adsorbate on the local density of states (LDOS) of the different C atoms in the structure and present some evidence of strong localization for the electronic states with energies close to the Dirac point.
Anderson impurity problem is considered for a graphene bilayer subject to a gap-opening bias. In-gap localized states are produced even when the impurity level overlaps with the continuum of band electrons. The effect depends strongly on the polarity of the applied bias as long as hybridization with the impurity occurs within a single layer. For an impurity level inside the conduction band a positive bias creates the new localized in-gap state. A negative bias does not produce the same result and leads to a simple broadening of the impurity level. The implications for transport are discussed i…
We consider a double-layer system made of two parallel bilayer graphene sheets separated by a dielectric medium. We calculate the finite-temperature electrical conductivity of the first layer due to charged impurities located in two layers. We study the effects of temperature, interlayer distance, dielectric constants and impurity concentration, carrier concentration on the electrical conductivity. We show the importance of charged impurities located in layer II in determining electrical conductivity of the first layer for small interlayer distance. The results in this paper give us more under…
We use the T-matrix approximation to analyze the effect of a localized impurity on the local density of states in mono- and bilayer graphene. For monolayer graphene the Friedel oscillations generated by intranodal scattering obey an inverse-square law, while the internodal ones obey an inverse law. In the Fourier transform this translates into a filled circle of high intensity in the center of the Brillouin zone, and empty circular contours around its corners. For bilayer graphene both types of oscillations obey an inverse law.
We study both monolayer and bilayer graphene transport properties taking into account the presence of correlations in the spatial distribution of charged impurities. In particular we find that the experimentally observed sublinear scaling of the graphene conductivity can be naturally explained as arising from impurity correlation effects in the Coulomb disorder, with no need to assume the presence of short-range scattering centers in addition to charged impurities. We find that also in bilayer graphene correlations among impurities induce a crossover of the scaling of the conductivity at highe…
We have examined the impact of charged impurity scattering on charge carrier transport in bilayer graphene (BLG) by deposition of potassium in ultra-high vacuum at low temperature. Charged impurity scattering gives a conductivity which is supra-linear in carrier density, with a magnitude similar to single-layer graphene for the measured range of carrier densities of 2-4 x 10^12 cm^-2. Upon addition of charged impurities of concentration n_imp, the minimum conductivity Sigma_min decreases proportional to n_imp^-1/2, while the electron and hole puddle carrier density increases proportional to n_…
We theoretically calculate the impurity-scattering induced resistivity of twisted bilayer graphene at low twist angles where the graphene Fermi velocity is strongly suppressed. We consider, as a function of carrier density, twist angle, and temperature, both long-ranged Coulomb scattering and short-ranged defect scattering within a Boltzmann theory relaxation time approach. For experimentally relevant disorder, impurity scattering contributes a resistivity comparable to (much larger than) the phonon scattering contribution at high (low) temperatures. Decreasing twist angle leads to larger resi…
We study the localized magnetic states of impurity in biased bilayer and trilayer graphene. It is found that the magnetic boundary for bilayer and trilayer graphene presents the mixing features of Dirac and conventional fermion. For zero gate bias, as the impurity energy approaches the Dirac point, the impurity magnetization region diminishes for bilayer and trilayer graphene. When a gate bias is applied, the dependence of impurity magnetic states on the impurity energy exhibits a different behavior for bilayer and trilayer graphene due to the opening of a gap between the valence and the condu…
We study the problem of impurities and mid-gap states in a biased graphene bilayer. We show that the properties of the bound states, such as localization lengths and binding energies, can be controlled externally by an electric field effect. Moreover, the band gap is renormalized and impurity bands are created at finite impurity concentrations. Using the coherent potential approximation we calculate the electronic density of states and its dependence on the applied bias voltage.
The effect of impurities which induce local interlayer tunneling in bilayer exciton condensates is discussed. We show that a localized single fermion bound state emerges inside the gap for any strength of impurity scattering and calculate the dependence of the impurity state energy and wave function on the potential strength. We show that such an impurity induced single fermion state enhances the interlayer coherence around it, and is similar to the superconducting proximity effect. As a direct consequence of these single impurity states, we predict that a finite concentration of such impuriti…
Application of a perpendicular electric field induces a band gap in bilayer graphene, and it also creates a "Mexican hat" structure in the dispersion relation. This structure has unusual implications for the hydrogen-like bound state of an electron to a Coulomb impurity. We calculate the ground state energy of this hydrogen-like state as a function of the applied interlayer voltage and the effective fine structure constant. Unlike in the normal hydrogen atom, the resulting wavefunction has many nodes even in the ground state. Further, the electron state undergoes "atomic collapse" into the Dir…
Triple point fermions are elusive electronic excitations that generalize Dirac and Weyl modes beyond the conventional high energy paradigm. Yet, finding real materials naturally hosting these excitations at the Fermi energy has remained challenging. Here we show that twisted bilayer graphene is a versatile platform to realize robust triple point fermions in two dimensions. In particular, we establish that the introduction of localized impurities lifts one of the two degenerate Dirac cones, yielding triple point fermions at charge neutrality. Furthermore, we show that the valley polarization is…
The local properties of bilayer graphene (BLG) due to the spatial inhomogeneity of its sublattices are of interest. We apply Anderson impurity model to consider the local moment formation on a magnetic impurity which could be adsorbed on different sublattices of BLG. We find different features for the impurity magnetization when it is adsorbed A and B sublattices. The impurity adsorbed on A sublattice can magnetize even when the impurity level is above the Fermi level and the on-site coulomb energy is very small. But when the impurity is adsorbed on B sublattice the magnetization is possible f…
We analyze the electronic properties of bilayer graphene with Bernal stacking and a low concentration of adatoms. Assuming that the host bilayer lies on top of a substrate, we consider the case where impurities are adsorbed only on the upper layer. We describe non-magnetic impurities as a single orbital hybridized with carbon's pz states. The effect of impurity doping on the local density of states with and without a gated electric field perpendicular to the layers is analyzed. We look for Anderson localization in the different regimes and estimate the localization length. In the biased system…
In this work the effects of impurity in various insulating phases of the twisted bilayer graphene (TBG) are studied. The well-accepted continuum model\cite{b} is employed and the local density of states (DOS) is calculated. It is found that insulating phases breaking different symmetries proposed in previous theories\cite{pa,op1,Lee_2019} are distinguishable via the number and properties of in-gap bound state peaks induced by impurities in local DOS. Insulating phases breaking the same previously proposed symmetries can be further classified by the remaining anti-unitary symmetries and disting…
Electrons behave like a classical fluid with a momentum distribution function that varies slowly in space and time when the quantum mechanical carrier-carrier scattering dominates over all other scattering processes. Recent experiments in monolayer and bilayer graphene have reported signatures of such hydrodynamic electron behavior in ultra-clean devices. In this theoretical work, starting from a microscopic treatment of electron-electron, electron-phonon and electron-impurity interactions within the Random Phase Approximation, we demonstrate that monolayer and bilayer graphene both host two d…
We study the kinetics of 2D Bose gas cooling provided Bose particles interact with 3D phonons. At low temperatures phonon emission is prohibited by the energy and the momentum conservation. We show that both particle-particle scattering and impurity scattering assist the Bose gas cooling.
Magnetic impurity adsorbed on one of the carbon planes of a bilayer graphene is studied. The formation of the many-body SU(2) and SU(4) resonances close to the bandgap is analyzed within the mean field Kotliar-Ruckenstein slave boson approach. Impact of enhanced hybridization and magnetic instability of bilayer doped near the Van Hove singularity on the screening of magnetic moment is discussed.
We study local moment formation for adatoms on bilayer graphene (BLG) within a mean-field theory of the Anderson impurity model. The wavefunctions of the BLG electrons induce strong particle-hole asymmetry and band dependence of the hybridization, which is shown to result in unusual features in the impurity model phase diagram. We also study the effect of varying the chemical potential, as well as varying an electric field perpendicular to the bilayer; the latter modifies the density of states of electrons in BLG and, more significantly, shifts the impurity energy. We show that this leads to r…
We derive analytical expressions for the conductivity of bilayer graphene (BLG) using the Boltzmann approach within the the Born approximation for a model of Gaussian disorders describing both short- and long-range impurity scattering. The range of validity of the Born approximation is established by comparing the analytical results to exact tight-binding numerical calculations. A comparison of the obtained density dependencies of the conductivity with experimental data shows that the BLG samples investigated experimentally so far are in the quantum scattering regime where the Fermi wavelength…
Twisted graphene layers produce a moiré pattern (MP) structure with a predetermined wavelength for given twist angle. However, predicting the membrane corrugation amplitude for any angle other than pure AB-stacked or AA-stacked graphene is impossible using first-principles density functional theory (DFT) due to the large supercell. Here, within elasticity theory we define the MP structure as the minimum energy configuration, thereby leaving the height amplitude as the only unknown parameter. The latter is determined from DFT calculations for AB and AA stacked bilayer graphene in order to elimi…
We develop a theory for density, disorder, and temperature dependent electrical conductivity of bilayer graphene in the presence of long-range charged impurity scattering as well as an additional short-range disorder of independent origin, establishing that both scattering mechanisms contribute significantly to determining bilayer transport properties. We find that although strong screening properties of bilayer graphene lead to qualitative differences with the corresponding single layer situation, both systems exhibit the linearly density dependent conductivity at high density and the minimum…
We study semiconductor nanowires coupled to a bilayer of a disordered superconductor and a magnetic insulator, motivated by recent experiments reporting possible Majorana-zero-mode signatures in related architectures. Specifically, we pursue a quasiclassical Usadel equation approach that treats superconductivity in the bilayer self-consistently in the presence of spin-orbit scattering, magnetic-impurity scattering, and Zeeman splitting induced by both the magnetic insulator and a supplemental applied field. Within this framework we explore prospects for engineering topological superconductivit…
We calculate the spin relaxation time of mobile electrons due to spin precession between random impurity scattering (D'yakonov-Perel' mechanism) in electrically gated bilayer graphene analytically and numerically. Due to the trigonal warping of the bandstructure, the spin relaxation time exhibits an interesting non-monotonic behavior as a function of both the Fermi energy and the interlayer bias potential. Our results are in good agreement with recent four-probe measurements of the spin relaxation time in bilayer graphene and indicate the possibility of an electrically-switched spin device.
We measure electrically detected ferromagnetic resonance in microdevices patterned from ultra-thin Co/Pt bilayers. Spin pumping and rectification voltages are observed and distinguished via their angular dependence. The spin-pumping voltage shows an unexpected increase as the cobalt thickness is reduced below 2 nm. This enhancement allows more efficient conversion of spin to charge current and motivates a theory modelling the dependence of impurity scattering on surface roughness.
Similar to the Landauer electric dipole created around an impurity by the electric current, a spin polarized cloud of electrons can be induced by the intrinsic spin-Hall effect near a spin independent elastic scatterer. It is shown that in the ballistic range around the impurity, such a cloud appears in the case of Rashba spin-orbit interaction, even though the bulk spin-Hall current is absent.
In this work the effects of defects in the superconducting phases of the twisted bilayer graphene (TBG) are investigated. A will-accepted low energy effective model and a non-magnetic impurity potential to mimic defects are employed. Different superconducting pairing symmetries, including $s$-wave, $(d+id)$-wave and $(p+ip)$-wave pairing, are considered. In single impurity case, the local density of states (DOS) are calculated for the pairing symmetries above. For different pairing symmetries the number and property of bound states induced by defects are different. In multi-impurity case, the …
We identify the impurity interactions of the recently proposed CFT description of a bilayer Quantum Hall system at filling nu =m/(pm+2) in Mod. Phys. Lett. A 15 (2000) 1679. Such a CFT is obtained by m-reduction on the one layer system, with a resulting pairing symmetry and presence of quasi-holes. For the m=2 case boundary terms are shown to describe an impurity interaction which allows for a localized tunnel of the Kondo problem type. The presence of an anomalous fixed point is evidenced at finite coupling which is unstable with respect to unbalance and flows to a vacuum state with no quasi-…
It is shown that, although the major feature of the microwave-induced magnetoresistance oscillations in two-dimensional (2D) electron systems is insensitive to the behavior of the elastic scattering in the photon-assisted impurity scattering model [X.L. Lei and S.Y. Liu, Phys. Rev. Lett. 91, 226805 (2003)], the required microwave intensity to induce an effective oscillation depends strongly on the form of the impurity potential. A microwave electric field of a few Volts per cm in amplitude is sufficient to induce remarkable oscillations if the elastic scatterings are due to background charged …

We report anomalous quantum transport features in bilayer graphene in presence of a random distribution of structural vacancies. By using an efficient real-space Kubo-Greenwood transport methodology, the impact of a varying density of dimer versus non-dimer vacancies is investigated in very large scale disordered models. While non-dimer vacancies are shown to induce localization regimes, dimer vacancies result in an unexpected ballistic regime whose energy window surprisingly enlarges with increasing impurity density. Such counterintuitive phenomenon is explained by the formation of an effecti…
We calculate the Fermi energy dependence of the (time-averaged) current and shot noise in an impurity-free carbon bilayer (length $L\ll$ width $W$), and compare with known results for a monolayer. At the Dirac point of charge neutrality, the bilayer transmits as two independent monolayers in parallel: Both current and noise are resonant at twice the monolayer value, so that their ratio (the Fano factor) has the same 1/3 value as in a monolayer -- and the same value as in a diffusive metal. The range of Fermi energies around the Dirac point within which this pseudo-diffusive result holds is sma…
We discuss the effect of elastic deformations on the electronic properties of bilayer graphene membranes. Distortions of the lattice translate into fictitious gauge fields in the electronic Dirac Hamiltonian which are explicitly derived here for arbitrary elastic deformations. We include gauge fields associated to intra- as well as inter-layer hopping terms and discuss their effects in different contexts. As a first application, we use the gauge fields in order to study the recently predicted strain-induced Lifshitz transition for the Fermi surface at low energy. As a second application, we di…
A Drude-Boltzmann theory is used to calculate the transport properties of bilayer graphene. We find that for typical carrier densities accessible in graphene experiments, the dominant scattering mechanism is overscreened Coulomb impurities that behave like short-range scatterers. We anticipate that the conductivity $σ(n)$ is linear in $n$ at high density and has a plateau at low density corresponding to a residual density of $n^* = \sqrt{n_{\rm imp} {\tilde n}}$, where ${\tilde n}$ is a constant which we estimate using a self-consistent Thomas-Fermi screening approximation to be ${\tilde n} \a…
We calculate the temperature-dependent charge carrier transport of bilayer graphene (BLG) impacted by Coulomb impurity scattering within the random phase approximation. We find the polarizability is equal to the density of states at zero momentum transfer and is enhanced by a factor $\log{4}$ at large momentum transfer for arbitrary temperature. The sharp cusp of static polarizability at $q=2k_F$, due to the strong backward scattering, would be smooth by the increasing temperatures. We also obtain the asymptotic behaviors of conductivity of BLG at low and high temperature, and find it turns fr…
We investigate quantum pumping of massless Dirac fermions in an ideal (impurity free) double layer of graphene. The pumped current is generated by adiabatic variation of two gate voltages in the contact regions to a weakly doped double graphene sheet. At the Dirac point and for a wide bilayer with width W much larger then length L, we find that the pumped current scales linearly with the interlayer coupling length l_{perp} for L/l_{perp} << 1, is maximal for L/l_{perp} ~ 1, and crosses over to a log(L/l_{perp})/(L/l_{perp})-dependence for L/l_{perp} >> 1. We compare our results with the behavi…
Nanoindentation of bilayer graphene is studied using molecular dynamics simulations. We compared our simulation results with those from elasticity theory as based on the nonlinear Föppl-Hencky equations with rigid boundary condition. The force deflection values of bilayer graphene are compered to those of monolayer graphene. Young's modulus of bilayer graphene is estimated to be 0.8 TPa which is close to the value for graphite. Moreover, an almost flat bilayer membrane at low temperature under central load has a 14$%$ smaller Young's modulus as compared to the one at room temperature.
We study the ballistic conductivity of graphene bilayer in the presence of next-nearest neighbor hoppings between the layers. An undoped and unbiased system was found in Ref. [1] to show a nonuniversal (length-dependent) conductivity $σ(L)$, approaching the value of $σ_\star=3/π\simeq{}0.95$ for large $L$. Here we demonstrate one-parameter scaling and determine the scaling function $β(σ)=d\ln{}\!σ/d\ln{}\!L$. The scaling flow has an attractive fixed point [$\,β(σ_\star)=0$, $β'(σ_\star)<0\,$] reproducing the scenario predicted for random impurity scattering of Dirac fermions with Coulomb repul…
We investigate the electron properties of the monolayer and bilayer silicene which is the honeycomb lattice consist of silicon atoms, including the optical conductivity and charged impurity scattering, due to the quasipatricle Dirac-like behaviors near the K-point of silicene. The spin, valley, sublattice degrees of freedom are taken into consider in the multi-band tight-binding model. In momentum space, the scattering matrix which connects the two bare (without interaction) Green's functions in the quasiparticle momentum transport process, could be momentum-independent for the single impuirit…
The gapless energy band spectra make the structures based on graphene and graphene bilayers with the population inversion created by optical or injection pumping to be promising media for the interband terahertz (THz) lasing. However, a strong intraband absorption at THz frequencies still poses a challenge for efficient THz lasing. In this paper, we show that in the pumped graphene bilayer structures, the indirect interband radiative transitions accompanied by scattering of carriers caused by disorder can provide a substantial negative contribution to the THz conductivity (together with the di…
We demonstrate that electrostatic interactions between helical electrons at the edge of a quantum spin Hall insulator and a dynamical impurity can induce quasi-elastic backscattering. Modelling the impurity as a two-level system, we show that transitions between counterpropagating Kramers-degenerate electronic states can occur without breaking time-reversal symmetry, provided that the impurity also undergoes a transition. The associated electrical resistance has a weak temperature dependence down to a non-universal temperature scale. Our results extend the range of known backscattering mechani…
Adatom-decorated graphene offers a promising new path towards spintronics in the ultrathin limit. We combine experiment and theory to investigate the electronic properties of dilutely fluorinated bilayer graphene, where the fluorine adatoms covalently bond to the top graphene layer. We show that fluorine adatoms give rise to resonant impurity states near the charge neutrality point of the bilayer, leading to strong scattering of charge carriers and hopping conduction inside a field-induced band gap. Remarkably, the application of an electric field across the layers is shown to tune the resonan…
We investigate transport and Coulomb drag properties of semiconductor-based electron-hole bilayer systems. Our calculations are motivated by recent experiments in undoped electron-hole bilayer structures based on GaAs-AlGaAs gated double quantum well systems. Our results indicate that the background charged impurity scattering is the most dominant resistive scattering mechanism in the high-mobility bilyers. We also find that the drag transresistivity is significantly enhanced when the electron-hole layer separation is small due to the exchange induced renormalization of the single layer compre…
The charged and magnetic states of isolated impurities dissolved in amorphous metallic alloy are investigated. The Hamiltonian of the system under study is the generalization of Anderson impurity model. Namely, the processes of elastic and non-elastic scattering of conductive electrons on the ions of a metal and on a charged impurity are included. The configuration averaged one-particle Green's functions are obtained within Hartree-Fock approximation. A system of self-consistent equations is given for calculation of an electronic spectrum, the charged and the spin-polarized impurity states. Qu…
A non-equilibrium Green's function method is applied to model high-field quantum transport and electron-phonon resonances in semiconductor superlattices. The field-dependent density of states for elastic (impurity) scattering is found non-perturbatively in an approach which can be applied to both high and low electric fields. I-V curves, and specifically electron-phonon resonances, are calculated by treating the inelastic (LO phonon) scattering perturbatively. Calculations show how strong impurity scattering suppresses the electron-phonon resonance peaks in I-V curves, and their detailed sensi…
Transport by helical edge states of a quantum spin Hall insulator is experimentally characterized by a weakly temperature-dependent mean free path of a few microns and by reproducible conductance oscillations, challenging proposed theoretical explanations. We consider a model where edge electrons experience spatially random Rashba spin-orbit coupling and couple to a magnetic impurity with spin S >= 1/2. In a finite bias steady state, we find for S > 1/2 an impurity induced resistance with a temperature dependence in agreement with experiments. Since backscattering is elastic, interference betw…
Breakdown of the quantum Hall effect (QHE) is commonly associated with an electric field approaching the inter Landau-level (LL) Zener field, ratio of the Landau gap and cyclotron radius. Eluded in semiconducting heterostructures, in spite of extensive investigation, the intrinsic Zener limit is reported here using high-mobility bilayer graphene and high-frequency current noise. We show that collective excitations arising from electron-electron interactions are essential. Beyond a noiseless ballistic QHE regime a large superpoissonian shot noise signals the breakdown via inter-LL scattering. T…
We study superfluid behavior of a gas of spatially indirect magnetoexcitons with reference to a system of two graphene layers embedded in a multilayer dielectric structure. The system is considered as an alternative of a double quantum well in a GaAs haterostructure. We determine a range of parameters (interlayer distance, dielectric constant, magnetic field and gate voltage) where magnetoexciton superfluidity can be achieved. Temperature of superfluid transition is computed. A reduction of critical parameters caused by impurities is evaluated and critical impurity concentration is determined.

We investigate spin relaxation in graphene spin valves and observe strongly contrasting behavior for single layer graphene (SLG) and bilayer graphene (BLG). In SLG, the spin lifetime (τs) varies linearly with the momentum scattering time (τp) as carrier concentration is varied, indicating the dominance of Elliot-Yafet (EY) spin relaxation at low temperatures. In BLG, τs and τp exhibit an inverse dependence, which indicates the dominance of Dyakonov-Perel spin relaxation at low temperatures. The different behavior is due to enhanced screening and/or reduced surface sensitivity of BLG, which gre…
Recent experiments have reported evidence of dominant electron-hole scattering in the electric conductivity of suspended bilayer graphene near charge neutrality. According to these experiments, plots of the electric conductivity as a function of $μ/k_BT$ (chemical potential scaled with temperature) obtained for different temperatures in the range of $12\rm{K}\lesssim T \lesssim 40\rm{K}$ collapse on a single curve independent of $T$. In a recent theory, this observation has been taken as an indication that the main sub-dominant scattering process is not electron-impurity but electron-phonon. H…
We have surveyed the in-plane transport properties of the graphene twist bilayer using (i) a low-energy effective Hamiltonian for the underlying electronic structure, (ii) an isotropic elastic phonon model, and (iii) the linear Boltzmann equation for elastic electron-phonon scattering. We find that transport in the twist bilayer is profoundly sensitive to the rotation angle of the constituent layers. Similar to the electronic structure of the twist bilayer the transport is qualitatively different in three distinct angle regimes. At large angles ($θ> \,\approx\!\!10^\circ$) and at temperatures …
In twisted bilayer graphene, long-wavelength lattice fluctuations on the scale of the moiré period are dominated by phason modes, i.e., acoustic branches of the incommensurate lattice resulting from coherent superpositions of optical phonons. In the limit of small twist angles, these modes describe the sliding motion of stacking domain walls separating regions of partial commensuration. The resulting soliton network is a soft elastic manifold, whose reduced rigidity arises from the competition between intralayer (elastic) and interlayer (adhesion) forces governing lattice relaxation. Shear def…
The quantum theory of multiphoton stimulated bremsstrahlung of charged carriers on an arbitrary electrostatic potential of impurity ion in doped bilayer graphene at the presence of coherent electromagnetic radiation is developed. A terahertz wave field is considered exactly, while the electrostatic potential of doped ions as a perturbation. The essentially nonlinear response of bilayer graphene to a pump wave and significant differences from the case of a single layer graphene are shown, which can be associated to nonlinear parabolic dispersion. The latter opens new way to manipulate with the …
Spin transport properties of a coupled bilayer electron gas with Rashba spin-orbit coupling are studied. The definition of the spin currents in each layer as well as the corresponding continuity-like equations in the bilayer system are given. The curves of the spin Hall conductivities obtained in each layer exhibit sharp cusps around a particular value of the tunnelling strength and the conductivities undergo sign changes across this point. Our investigation on the impurity effect manifests that an arbitrarily small concentration of nonmagnetic impurities does not suppress the spin Hall conduc…
