We study Klein-Gordon chains with attractive nearest neighbour forces and convex on-site potential, and show that there exists a two-parameter family of periodic travelling waves (wave trains) with unimodal and even profile functions. Our existence proof is based on a saddle-point problem with constraints and exploits the invariance properties of an improvement operator. Finally, we discuss the numerical computation of wave trains.

In this article we introduce a new class of non-Archimedean pseudodifferential equations of Klein-Gordon type and study the corresponding Cauchy problem for these equations. A remarkable fact is that the non-Archimedean Klein-Gordon equations exhibit many similar properties to the classical Klein-Gordon equations.

A scheme stemming from the use of pseudospectral approximations to spatial derivatives followed by a time integrator based on trigonometric polynomials is proposed for the numerical solutions of the coupled nonlinear Klein--Gordon equations. Numerical tests on one- and three-coupled Klein--Gordon equations are presented, which are geared towards understanding the accuracy and stability, and demonstrating the efficiency and high resolution capacity in application.

We introduce the Dunkl--Klein--Gordon (DKG) equation in 2D by changing the standard partial derivatives by the Dunkl derivatives in the standard Klein--Gordon (KG) equation. We show that the generalization with Dunkl derivative of the $z$-component of the angular momentum is what allows the separation of variables of the DKG equation. Elliptic pseudoanalytic function theory was considered independently by Bers and Vekua decades ago. In this paper we develop a hyperbolic analogue of pseudoanalytic function theory using the algebra of hyperbolic numbers. We consider the Klein-Gordon equation with a potential. With the aid of one particular solution we factorize the Klein-Gordon operator in terms of two Vekua-type operators. We show that real parts of the solutions of one of these Vekua-type operators are solutions of the considered Klein-Gordon equation. The difference between a Klein-Gordon random field and the complex Klein-Gordon quantum field is characterized, explicitly comparing the roles played by negative frequency modes of test functions in creation and annihilation operator presentations of the two theories. The random field and the complex quantum field can both be constructed from the same creation and annihilation operator algebra, making them equivalent in that sense.

We show asymptotic completeness for the charged Klein-Gordon equation in the exterior De Sitter-Reissner-Nordström spacetime when the product of the charge of the black hole with the charge of Klein-Gordon field is small enough. We then interpret scattering as asymptotic transports along principal null geodesics in a Kaluza-Klein extension of the original spacetime.

We report on the well-posedness of the Feynman problem for the Klein-Gordon equation on asymptotically Minkowski spacetimes. This paper deals with the Klein-Gordon-Maxwell system in a bounded spatial domain. We study the existence of solutions having a specific form, namely standing waves in equilibrium with a purely electrostatic field. In this article we will develop some techniques aimed at the strong couplings in two-dimensional wave-Klein-Gordon system. We distinguish the roles of different type of decay factors and develop a method which permits us to "exchange" one type of decay into the other. Then a global existence result of a model problem is established. We also give a sketch of the Klein-Gordon-Zakharov system and establish the associate global existence result.

We consider a collisionless ensemble of classical particles coupled to a Klein-Gordon field. We obtain sharp decay estimates and asymptotics for small solutions to the one-dimensional Klein-Gordon equation with constant coefficient cubic and spatially localized, variable coefficient cubic nonlinearities. Vector-field techniques to deal with the long-range nature of the cubic nonlinearity become problematic in the presence of variable coefficients. We introduce a novel approach based on pointwise-in-time local decay estimates for the Klein-Gordon propagator to overcome this impasse.
We show how to deal with the generalized q-Schrödinger and q-Klein-Gordon fields in a variety of scenarios. These q-fields are meaningful at very high energies (TeVs) for for $q=1.15$, high ones (GeVs) for $q=1.001$, and low energies (MeVs)for $q=1.000001$ [Nucl. Phys. A {\bf 948} (2016) 19, Nucl. Phys. A {\bf 955} (2016) 16]. We develop here the quantum field theory (QFT) for the q-Schrödinger and q-Klein-Gordon fields, showing that both reduce to the customary Schrödinger and Klein-Gordon QFTs for q close to unity. We study small data scattering of solutions to Nonlinear Klein-Gordon equations with suitable pure power nonlinearities, posed on $\mathbb{R}^d\times \mathcal{M}^k$ with $k\leq2$ and $d\geq1$ and $\mathcal{M}^k$ a compact Riemannian manifold. As a special case we cover the $H^1-$critical NLKG on $\mathbb{R} \times M^2$.
In this paper we describe the integral transform that allows to write solutions of one partial differential equation via solution of another one. This transform was suggested by the author in the case when the last equation is a wave equation, and then it was used to investigate several well-known equations such as Tricomi-type equation, the Klein-Gordon equation in the de~Sitter and Einstein-de~Sitter spacetimes. A generalization given in this paper allows us to consider also the Klein-Gordon equations with coefficients depending on the spatial variables.
Using methods in the theory of semisimple Lie algebras, we can obtain all smooth solutions of the Klein-Gordon equation on the 4-dimensional de Sitter spacetime (dS^4). The mass of a Klein-Gordon scalar on dS^4 is related to an eigenvalue of the Casimir operator of so(1,4). Thus it is discrete, or quantized. Furthermore, the mass m of a Klein-Gordon scalar on dS^4 is imaginary: m^2 being proportional to -N(N+3), with N >= 0 an integer.
We construct one-parameter families of solutions to the Einstein--Klein--Gordon equations bifurcating off the Kerr solution such that the underlying family of spacetimes are each an asymptotically flat, stationary, axisymmetric, black hole spacetime, and such that the corresponding scalar fields are non-zero and time-periodic. An immediate corollary is that for these Klein--Gordon masses, the Kerr family is not asymptotically stable as a solution to the Einstein--Klein--Gordon equations.
