In this article we introduce a new class of non-Archimedean pseudodifferential equations of Klein-Gordon type and study the corresponding Cauchy problem for these equations. In this paper we develop a hyperbolic analogue of pseudoanalytic function theory using the algebra of hyperbolic numbers. We consider the Klein-Gordon equation with a potential.
