We analyze the lattice SU(2) Yang-Mills theory in Coulomb gauge. We show that the static gluon propagator is multiplicative renormalizable and takes the simple form $D(|\vec{p}|)^{-1}=\sqrt{|\vec{p}|^2+M^4/|\vec{p}|^2}$, proposed by Gribov through heuristic arguments many years ago. We find $M=0.88(1) {\rm GeV} \simeq 2 \sqrtσ$.
The effects of the Gribov copies on the gluon and ghost propagators are investigated in SU(2) Euclidean Yang-Mills theory quantized in the maximal Abelian gauge. The diagonal component of the gluon propagator displays the characteristic Gribov type behavior. The off-diagonal component of the gluon propagator is found to be of the Yukawa type, with a dynamical mass originating from the dimension two condensate <A^2>, which is also taken into account. Finally, the off-diagonal ghost propagator exhibits infrared enhancement.
So far, the infrared behavior of the gluon and ghost propagator based on the Gribov-Zwanziger approach predicted a positivity violating gluon propagator vanishing at zero momentum, and an infrared enhanced ghost propagator. However, recent data based on huge lattices have revealed a positivity violating gluon propagator which turns out to attain a finite nonvanishing value very close to zero momentum. At the same time the ghost propagator does not seem to be infrared enhanced anymore. We point out that these new features can be accounted for by yet unexploited dynamical effects within the Grib…
The infrared behavior of the gluon and ghost propagators is studied in SU(2) Euclidean Yang-Mills theory in the maximal Abelian gauge within the Gribov-Zwanziger framework. The nonperturbative effects associated with the Gribov copies and with the dimension two condensates are simultaneously encoded into a local and renormalizable Lagrangian. The resulting behavior turns out to be in good agreement with the lattice data.
Recent lattice data have reported an infrared suppressed, positivity violating gluon propagator which is nonvanishing at zero momentum and a ghost propagator which is no longer enhanced. This paper discusses how to obtain analytical results which are in qualitative agreement with these lattice data within the Gribov-Zwanziger framework. This framework allows one to take into account effects related to the existence of gauge copies, by restricting the domain of integration in the path integral to the Gribov region. We elaborate to great extent on a previous short paper by presenting additional …
The present work discusses an approach to access the physical spectrum of the Yang-Mills theory quantized in the Landau gauge. By using recent lattice data on the gluon propagator, it is possible to study the two-point functions of gauge invariant composite operators, from which masses of glueballs can be extracted. It turns out that the momentum dependence of the gluon propagator is very well reproduced by the corresponding tree-level gluon propagator obtained from the Refined Gribov-Zwanziger theory, which takes into account the presence of the Gribov horizon as well as the effect of condens…
This Ph.D. thesis presents a study of the Gribov-Zwanziger framework: from propagators to glueballs. The chapters 2 and 3 are meant as an introduction and only require a basic knowledge of quantum field theory. Chapter 2 explains the techniques behind algebraic renormalization, which shall be widely used throughout this thesis, while chapter 3 tries to give a pedagogic overview of the Gribov-Zwanziger framework as this is not available yet in the literature. The subsequent chapters contain own research. First in chapter 4, we shall dig a bit deeper in the Gribov-Zwanziger framework, by explori…
The construction of BRST invariant local operators with the quantum numbers of the lightest glueball states, $J^{PC}= 0^{++}, 2^{++}, 0^{-+}$, is worked out by making use of an Euclidean confining renormalizable gauge theory. The correlation functions of these operators are evaluated by employing a confining gluon propagator of the Gribov type and shown to display a spectral representation with positive spectral densities. An attempt to provide a first qualitative analysis of the ratios of the masses of the lightest glueballs is also discussed
Beyond perturbation theory the number of gauge copies drastically increases due to the Gribov-Singer ambiguity. Any way of treating them defines, in principle, a new, non-perturbative gauge, and the gauge-dependent correlation functions can vary between them. Herein various such gauges will be constructed as completions of the Landau gauge inside the first Gribov region. The dependence of the propagators and the running coupling on these gauges will be studied for SU(2) Yang-Mills theory in two, three, and four dimensions using lattice gauge theory, and for a wide range of lattice parameters. …
We study the gluon propagator in quenched lattice QCD using the Laplacian gauge which is free of lattice Gribov copies. We compare our results with those obtained in the Landau gauge on the lattice, as well as with various approximate solutions of the Dyson Schwinger equations. We find a finite value $\sim (445 \rm{MeV})^{-2}$ for the renormalized zero-momentum propagator (taking our renormalization point at 1.943 GeV), and a pole mass $\sim 640 \pm 140$ MeV.
The Gribov copies and their consequences on the infrared behavior of the gluon propagator are investigated in Euclidean Yang-Mills theories quantized in linear covariant gauges. Considering small values of the gauge parameter, it turns out that the transverse component of the gluon propagator is suppressed, while its longitudinal part is left unchanged. A Green function, G_{tr}, which displays infrared enhancement and which reduces to the ghost propagator in the Landau gauge is identified. The inclusion of the dimension two gluon condensate <A^2> is also considered. In this case, the transvers…
We recalculate the color-Coulomb potential to one-loop order, under the assumption that the effect of the Gribov horizon is to make i) the transverse gluon propagator less singular; and ii) the color-Coulomb potential more singular, than their perturbative behavior in the low-momentum limit. As a first guess, the effect of the Gribov horizon is mimicked by introducing a transverse momentum-dependent gluon mass term, leading to a propagator of the Gribov form, with the prescription that the mass parameter should be adjusted to the unique value where the infrared behavior of the Coulomb potentia…
The compatibility of the results from the Gribov-Zwanziger tree level prediction and lattice simulations, using large statistical ensembles, for the Landau gauge gluon propagator are investigated, thereby complementing earlier work using small-scale statistics. Our results show that the data is well described by the tree level estimate only up to momenta $p \lesssim 1$ GeV while clearly favoring the so-called Refined Gribov-Zwanziger scenario, implying particular relations between certain possible $d=2$ condensates. We also provide a global fit of the lattice data which interpolates between th…
We compute the two loop corrections to the gluon propagator for low momentum in a gluon mass model. This model has recently been proposed as an alternative to the Gribov construction in the way it handles Gribov copies in the gauge fixing. The corrections provide improvements for estimating the point where the gluon propagator freezes in relation to lattice data.
In this work, we study the propagators of matter fields within the framework of the Refined Gribov-Zwanziger theory, which takes into account the effects of the Gribov copies in the gauge-fixing quantization procedure of Yang-Mills theory. In full analogy with the pure gluon sector of the Refined Gribov-Zwanziger action, a non-local long-range term in the inverse of the Faddeev-Popov operator is added in the matter sector. Making use of the recent BRST invariant formulation of the Gribov-Zwanziger framework achieved in [Capri et al 2016], the propagators of scalar and quark fields in the adjoi…
We address the problem of Gribov copies in lattice QCD. The gluon propagator is computed, in the Landau gauge, using 302 ($β= 5.8$) $12^4$ configurations gauge fixed to different copies. The results of the simulation shows that: i) the effect of Gribov copies is small (less than 10%); ii) Gribov copies change essentially the lowest momenta components ($q < 2.6$ GeV); iii) within the statistical accuracy of our simulation, the effect of Gribov copies is resolved if statistical errors are multiplied by a factor of two or three. Moreover, when modelling the gluon propagator, different sets of Gri…
We reinvestigate the problem of Gribov ambiguities within the Landau (or Lorentz) gauge for the ghost and gluon propagators in pure SU(2) lattice gauge theory. We make use of the full symmetry group of the action taking into account {\it large}, i.e. non-periodic $\mathbb{Z}(2)$ gauge transformations leaving lattice plaquettes invariant. Enlarging in this way the gauge orbits for any given gauge field configuration the Landau gauge can be fixed at higher local extrema of the gauge functional in comparison with standard (overrelaxation) techniques. This has a clearly visible effect not only for…
The gluon and ghost propagators are computed using both quenched and dynamical configurations for the same lattice spacings. The Wilson fermions are simulated at several quark masses. Furthermore, the effect of the Gribov copies is evaluated for all sets of configurations.
We investigate the dimension two condensate $< {\bar ϕ}^{ab}_i ϕ^{ab}_i -{\bar ω}^{ab}_i ω^{ab}_i >$ within the Gribov-Zwanziger approach to Euclidean Yang-Mills theories in the Coulomb gauge, in both 3 and 4 dimensions. An explicit calculation shows that, at the first order, the condensate $< {\bar ϕ}^{ab}_i ϕ^{ab}_i -{\bar ω}^{ab}_i ω^{ab}_i >$ is plagued by a non-integrable IR divergence in 3D, while in 4D it exhibits a logarithmic UV divergence, being proportional to the Gribov parameter $γ^2$. These results indicate that in 3D the transverse spatial Coulomb gluon two-point correlation fun…
Fixing a gauge in the non-perturbative domain of Yang-Mills theory is a non-trivial problem due to the presence of Gribov copies. In particular, there are different gauges in the non-perturbative regime which all correspond to the same definition of a gauge in the perturbative domain. Gauge-dependent correlation functions may differ in these gauges. Two such gauges are the minimal and absolute Landau gauge, both corresponding to the perturbative Landau gauge. These, and their numerical implementation, are described and presented in detail. Other choices will also be discussed. This investigati…
The dependence of the Landau gauge gluon and ghost propagators on the choice of Gribov copies is studied in pure SU(3) lattice gauge theory. Whereas the influence on the gluon propagator is small, the ghost propagator becomes clearly affected by the copies in the infrared region. We compare our data with the infrared exponents predicted by the Dyson-Schwinger equation approach
The dependence of the gluon and ghost propagator in pure SU(3) gauge theory on the choice of Gribov copies in Landau gauge is studied. Simulations were performed on several lattice sizes at $β$=5.8, 6.0 and 6.2. In the infrared region the ghost propagator turns out to depend on the choice, while the impact on the gluon propagator is not resolvable. Also the eigenvalue distribution of the Faddeev-Popov operator is sensitive to Gribov copies.
Infrared behavior of the Landau gauge gluon propagators is studied numerically in the 3d SU(2) gauge theory on the lattice. A special accent is made on the study of Gribov copy effect. For this study we employ an efficient gauge-fixing algorithm and a large number of gauge copies (up to 280 copies per configuration). It is shown that, in the deep infrared region, the Gribov copy effects are very significant. Also we show that, in the infinite-volume limit, the zero-momentum value of the propagator does not vanish.
We extend our study of the gluon propagator in quenched lattice QCD using the Laplacian gauge to a finer lattice. We verify the existence of a pole mass as we take the continuum limit and deduce a value of $\sim 600^{+150}_{-30}$ MeV for this pole mass. We find a finite value of $(454(5){\rm MeV})^{-2}$ for the renormalized zero-momentum propagator, in agreement with results on coarser lattices.
We study the influence of Gribov copies on gluon and ghost propagators in lattice Landau gauge. For the gluon propagator, Gribov noise seems to be of the order of magnitude of the numerical accuracy. On the contrary, for the ghost propagator, Gribov noise is clearly observable, at least in the strong- coupling regime. We also observe, in the limit of large lattice volume, a gluon propagator decreasing as the momentum goes to zero. Finally, we introduce an implementation of the method of Fourier Acceleration which avoids the use of the fast Fourier transform, being well suited for parallel and …
We use the Gribov-Zwanziger Lagrangian in QCD to evaluate the one loop correction to the gluon propagator as a function of the Gribov volume and verify that the propagator vanishes in the infrared limit. Using the corresponding correction to the Faddeev-Popov ghost propagator we construct the renormalization group invariant coupling constant, alpha^eff_S(p^2), from the gluon and ghost form factors and verify, using the Gribov mass gap condition, that it freezes out at zero momentum to a non-zero value. This is qualitatively consistent with other approaches. We also show that there is an enhanc…
We construct the local Gribov-Zwanziger action for SU(2) Euclidean Yang-Mills theories in the maximally Abelian (MA) gauge with U(1)$_3$ Landau gauge fixing based on the Zwanziger's work in the Landau gauge. By the restriction of the functional integral region to the Gribov region in the MA gauge, we give the nonlocal action. We localize the action with new fields and obtain the action with the shift of the new scalar fields, which has the terms, corresponding to the localized action of the horizon function in the MA gauge. The diagonal gluon propagator in the MA gauge at tree level behaves li…
We consider the implications of the condensation of a general local BRST invariant dimension two operator built out of the localizing ghost fields of the Gribov-Zwanziger Lagrangian which is a localized Lagrangian incorporating the Gribov problem in the Landau gauge. For different colour tensor projections of the general operator, the properties of a frozen gluon propagator and unenhanced Faddeev-Popov ghost propagator, which are observed in lattice computations, can be reproduced. The alternative possibilities are distinguished by the infrared structure of the propagators of the spin-1 fields…
We study the approach, initiated by Marinari et al., to the static inter-quark potential based on Polyakov lines of finite temporal extent, evaluated in Coulomb gauge. We show that, at small spatial separations, the potential can be understood as being between two separately gauge invariant colour charges. At larger separations Gribov copies obstruct the non-perturbative identification of individually gauge invariant colour states. We demonstrate, for the first time, how gauge invariance can be maintained quite generally by averaging over Gribov copies. This allows us to extend the analysis of…
We present lattice results for the gluon propagator for SU(2) and SU(3) in the Laplacian gauge which avoids lattice Gribov copies. In SU(3) we compare with the most recent lattice calculation in Landau gauge and with various approximate solutions of the Dyson Schwinger equations (DSE).
We study the influence of Gribov copies on gluon and ghost propagators, evaluated numerically in pure SU(2) lattice gauge theory in the minimal Landau gauge. Simulations are done at four different values of $β$ (namely $β$ = 0, 0.8, 1.6 and 2.7) and for volumes up to $16^4$ (up to $24^4$ at $β$ = 1.6). For the gluon propagator, Gribov noise seems to be of the order of magnitude of the numerical accuracy, even at very small values of the coupling $β$. On the contrary, for the ghost propagator, Gribov noise is clearly observable for the three values of $β$ in the strong-coupling regime. In parti…
Lattice results for the gluon propagator in SU(2) pure gauge theory obtained on large lattices are presented. Simulated annealing is used throughout to fix the Landau gauge. We concentrate on checks for Gribov copy effects and for scaling properties. Our findings are similar to the ones in the SU(3) case, supporting the decoupling-type infrared behaviour of the gluon propagator.
We report a numerical study of SU(2) lattice gauge theory in the minimal Coulomb gauge at beta = 2.2 and 9 different volumes. After extrapolation to infinite volume, our fit agrees with a lattice discretization of Gribov's formula for the transverse equal-time would-be physical gluon propagator, that vanishes like |k| at k = 0, whereas the free equal-time propagator (2|k|)^{-1} diverges. Our fit lends reality to a confinement scenario in which the would-be physical gluons leave the physical spectrum while the long-range Coulomb force confines color.
We study numerically the SU(2) Landau gauge transverse and longitudinal gluon propagators at non-zero temperatures T both in confinement and deconfinement phases. The special attention is paid to the Gribov copy effects in the IR-region. Applying powerful gauge fixing algorithm we find that the Gribov copy effects for the transverse propagator D_T(p) are very strong in the infrared, while the longitudinal propagator D_L(p) shows very weak (if any) Gribov copy dependence. The value D_T(0) tends to decrease with growing lattice size; however, D_T(0) is non-zero in the infinite volume limit, in d…
We rewrite the Zwanziger horizon condition in terms of the Kugo-Ojima parameter for color confinement. This enables one to explain which value of the Kugo-Ojima parameter is allowed if the horizon condition is imposed. Although all the calculations are performed in the limit of vanishing Gribov parameter for simplicity, the obtained value is consistent with the result of numerical simulations. Consequently, the ghost propagator behaves like free and the gluon propagator is non-vanishing at low momenta, in harmony with recent lattice results and decoupling solution of the Schwinger-Dyson equati…
For SU(2) lattice gauge theory we study numerically the infrared behavior of the Landau gauge ghost and gluon propagators with the special accent on the Gribov copy dependence. Applying a very efficient gauge fixing procedure and generating up to 80 gauge copies we find that the Gribov copy effect for both propagators is essential in the infrared. In particular, our best copy dressing function of the ghost propagator approaches a plateau in the infrared, while for the random first copy it still grows. Our best copy zero-momentum gluon propagator shows a tendency to decrease with growing lattic…
Recent works have explored non-perturbative effects due to the existence of (infinitesimal) Gribov copies in Yang-Mills-Chern-Simons theories in three Euclidean dimensions. In particular, the removal of such copies modify the gauge field propagator by a self-consistent dynamically generated mass parameter, the Gribov parameter. Due to the interplay with the topological mass introduced by the Chern-Simons term, the propagator features a non-trivial set of phases with poles of different nature, leading to the possible interpretation of a confinfing to deconfining phase transition. Inhere, we res…
The SU(2) gluon propagator in Landau gauge is studied on the lattice. Our gauge fixing procedure employs simulated annealing and Z(2)-flips. It finds higher maxima of the gauge functional compared with those obtained with the standard overrelaxation and leads to systematic deviations of the gluon propagator in the infrared region. In particular, finite-size effects for lattice sizes from (1.7 fm)^4 up to (6.5 fm)^4 become weak. The propagator shows a plateau at p \approx 300 MeV.
In 1967, Faddeev and Popov were able to quantize the Yang-Mills theory by introducing new particles called ghost through the introduction of a gauge. Ever since, this quantization has become a standard textbook item. Some years later, Gribov discovered that the gauge fixing was not complete, gauge copies called Gribov copies were still present and could affect the infrared region of quantities like the gauge dependent gluon and ghost propagator. This feature was often in literature related to confinement. Some years later, the semi-classical approach of Gribov was generalized to all orders and…
We determine the two loop correction to Gribov's mass gap equation for quantum chromodynamics in the Landau gauge in the MSbar scheme by computing the two loop correction to the horizon condition derived from Zwanziger's local renormalizable Lagrangian which incorporates the Gribov parameter. We verify that with the explicit result, the two loop ghost propagator is enchanced in the infrared.
We study the Landau-gauge Gribov ghost form-factor sigma(p^2) for SU(N) Yang-Mills theories in the d-dimensional case. We find a qualitatively different behavior for d=3,4 w.r.t. d=2. In particular, considering any (sufficiently regular) gluon propagator D(p^2) and the one-loop-corrected ghost propagator G(p^2), we prove in the 2d case that sigma(p^2) blows up in the infrared limit p -> 0 as -D(0)\ln(p^2). Thus, for d=2, the no-pole condition σ(p^2) < 1 (for p^2 > 0) can be satisfied only if D(0) = 0. On the contrary, in d=3 and 4, sigma(p^2) is finite also if D(0) > 0. The same results are ob…
The continuum Yang-Mills functional integral within the first order formalism and in Coulomb gauge is studied. In particular, the temporal zero-modes of the Faddeev-Popov operator are explicitly accounted for. It is shown that the treatment of these zero-modes results in the constraint that the total color charge of the system vanishes at all times. Further, it is argued that the functional integral is effectively fully gauge-fixed once Gauss' law has been resolved in Coulomb gauge.
Using SU(2) lattice QCD in two dimensions, we study diagonal and off-diagonal gluon propagators in the maximally Abelian gauge (MAG) with U(1)$_3$ Landau gauge fixing. These propagators are investigated both in momentum space and coordinate space. The Monte Carlo simulation is performed at $β=7.99, 30.5,$ and $120$ on $62^2, 128^2,$ and $256^2$ at the quenched level. In the momentum space, the transverse component of the diagonal gluon propagator shows suppression with increasing $β$ in the infrared region and the dressing function at $β=120$ has a maximum at $p^2 \simeq 4$GeV, while the trans…
The infinite color-Coulomb energy of color-charged states is related to enhanced density of near-zero modes of the Faddeev-Popov operator in Coulomb gauge. We confirm the enhancement in numerical simulations and show that it is tied to the presence of percolating center vortex configurations.
I will review essential features of the Hamiltonian approach to QCD in Coulomb gauge showing that Gribov's confinement scenario is realized in this gauge. For this purpose I will discuss in detail the emergence of the horizon condition and the Coulomb string tension. I will show that both are induced by center vortex gauge field configurations, which establish the connection between Gribov's confinement scenario and the center vortex picture of confinement. I will then extend the Hamiltonian approach to QCD in Coulomb gauge to finite temperatures, first by the usual grand canonical ensemble an…
We study the Hamiltonian approach to 1+1 dimensional Yang-Mills theory in Coulomb gauge, considering both the pure Coulomb gauge and the gauge where in addition the remaining constant gauge field is restricted to the Cartan algebra. We evaluate the corresponding Faddeev-Popov determinants, resolve Gauss' law and derive the Hamiltonians, which differ in both gauges due to additional zero modes of the Faddeev-Popov kernel in the pure Coulomb gauge. By Gauss' law the zero modes of the Faddeev-Popov kernel constrain the physical wave functionals to zero colour charge states. We solve the Schroedin…
We consider the gluon propagator $D(p^2)$ at various lattice sizes and spacings in the case of pure SU(3) Yang-Mills gauge theories using the Landau gauge fixing. We discuss a class of fits in the infrared region in order to (in)validate the tree level analytical prediction in terms of the (Refined) Gribov-Zwanziger framework. It turns out that an important role is played by the presence of the widely studied dimension two gluon condensate $\braket{A^2}$. Including this effect allows to obtain an acceptable fit up to 1 á 1.5 GeV, while corroborating the Refined Gribov-Zwanziger prediction for …
Following a recent proposal by Cooper and Zwanziger we investigate via $SU(2)$ lattice simulations the effect on the Coulomb gauge propagators and on the Gribov-Zwanziger confinement mechanism of selecting the Gribov copy with the smallest non-trivial eigenvalue of the Faddeev-Popov operator, i.e.~the one closest to the Gribov horizon. Although such choice of gauge drives the ghost propagator towards the prediction of continuum calculations, we find that it actually overshoots the goal. With increasing computer time, we observe that Gribov copies with arbitrarily small eigenvalues can be found…
In this paper, we discuss the gluon propagator in the linear covariant gauges in $D=2,3,4$ Euclidean dimensions. Non-perturbative effects are taken into account via the so-called Refined Gribov-Zwanziger framework. We point out that, as in the Landau and maximal Abelian gauges, for $D=3,4$, the gluon propagator displays a massive (decoupling) behaviour, while for $D=2$, a scaling one emerges. All results are discussed in a setup that respects the Becchi-Rouet-Stora-Tyutin (BRST) symmetry, through a recently introduced non-perturbative BRST transformation. We also propose a minimizing functiona…
We prove that the Faddeev-Popov ghost dressing function in the Yang-Mills theory is non-zero and finite in the limit of vanishing momenta and hence the ghost propagator behaves like free in the deep infrared regime, within the Gribov-Zwanziger framework of the $D$-dimensional SU(N) Yang-Mills theory in the Landau gauge for any $D>2$. This result implies that the Kugo-Ojima color confinement criterion is not satisfied in its original form. We point out that the result crucially depends on the explicit form of the non-local horizon term adopted. The original Gribov prediction in the Landau gauge…
We show how the infinite color-Coulomb energy of color-charged states is related to enhanced density of near-zero modes of the Faddeev-Popov operator, and calculate this density numerically for both pure Yang-Mills and gauge-Higgs systems at zero temperature, and for pure gauge theory in the deconfined phase. We find that the enhancement of the eigenvalue density is tied to the presence of percolating center vortex configurations, and that this property disappears when center vortices are either removed from the lattice configurations, or cease to percolate. We further demonstrate that thin ce…
We present an analytical study of continuum 4d SU(2) gauge Higgs models with a single Higgs field with fixed length in either the fundamental or adjoint representation. We aim at analytically probing the renowned predictions of Fradkin & Shenker on the phase diagram in terms of confinement versus Higgs behaviour, obtained for the lattice version of the model. We work in the Landau version of the 't Hooft R_ξgauges in which case we can access potential nonperturbative physics related to the existence of the Gribov copies. In the fundamental case, we clearly show that in the perturbative regime …
I present a perturbative calculation of the spectrum of the Faddeev-Popov operator in Coulomb gauge in three dimensions, and Landau gauge in two and three dimensions, with an ansatz for the gluon propagator as the non-perturbative input. The results show how the low-lying Faddeev-Popov eigenvalue spectrum is modified as the first Gribov horizon is approached, and how the spectra can differ in Coulomb and Landau gauges.
We review the status of lattice simulations of gluon and ghost propagators in Landau gauge, testing predictions of the Gribov-Zwanziger confinement scenario.
Infrared features of gluon propagator, ghost propagator, QCD running coupling and the Kugo-Ojima parameter in lattice Landau gauge QCD are presented. The framework of PMS analysis suggests that there appear infrared, intermediate and ultraviolet regions specified by $Λ_{\bar{MS}}$, $β_0$ and $β_1$. The propagators and the running coupling of $q>1GeV$ are fitted by the $\widetilde{MOM}$ scheme using the factorization scale as the scale parameter. The running coupling data of $q<14GeV$ are fitted by the contour improved perturbation method. The Gribov copy problem is studied in SU(2), $β= 2.2$ s…
We study the gluon and ghost propagators of SU(2) lattice Landau gauge theory and find their low-momentum behavior being sensitive to the lowest non-trivial eigenvalue (λ_1) of the Faddeev-Popov operator. If the gauge-fixing favors Gribov copies with small (large) values for λ_1 both the ghost dressing function and the gluon propagator get enhanced (suppressed) at low momentum. For larger momenta no dependence on Gribov copies is seen. We compare our lattice data to the corresponding (decoupling) solutions from the DSE/FRGE study of Fischer, Maas and Pawlowski [Annals Phys. 324 (2009) 2408] an…
