We discuss the quantization of a class of relativistic fluid models defined in terms of one real and two complex conjugate potentials with values on a Kähler manifold, and parametrized by the Kähler potential $K(z,\bar{z})$ and a real number $λ$. In the hamiltonian formulation, the canonical conjugate momenta of the potentials are subjected to second class constraints which allow us to apply the symplectic projector method in order to find the physical degrees of freedom and the physical hamiltonian. We construct the quantum theory for that class of models by employing the canonical quantization methods. We also show that a semiclassical theory in which the Kähler and the complex potential are not quantized has a highly degenerate vacuum. Also, we define and compute the quantum topological number (quantum linking number) operator which has non-vanishing contributions from the Kähler and complex potentials only. Finally, we show that the vacuum and the states formed by tensoring the number operators eigenstates have zero linking number and show that linear combinations of the tensored number operators eigenstates which have the form of entangled states have non-zero linking number.
Relativistic Landau-He-McKellar-Wilkens quantization and relativistic bound states solutions for a Coulomb-like potential induced by the Lorentz symmetry breaking effects
It was shown recently that stochastic quantization can be made into a well defined quantization scheme on (pseudo-)Riemannian manifolds using second order differential geometry, which is an extension of the commonly used first order differential geometry. In this letter, we show that restrictions to relativistic theories can be obtained from this theory by imposing a stochastic energy-momentum relation. In the process, we derive non-perturbative quantum corrections to the line element as measured by scalar particles. Furthermore, we extend the framework of stochastic quantization to massless s…
We propose here a new symplectic quantization scheme, where quantum fluctuations of a scalar field theory stem from two main assumptions: relativistic invariance and equiprobability of the field configurations with identical value of the action. In this approach the fictitious time of stochastic quantization becomes a genuine additional time variable, with respect to the coordinate time of relativity. This proper time is associated to a symplectic evolution in the action space, which allows one to investigate not only asymptotic, i.e. equilibrium, properties of the theory, but also its non-equ…
We formulate Wilson loop observables as products of eikonal Wilson lines given in terms of on-shell scattering amplitudes. Using these, we derive the Dirac-Schwinger-Zwanziger quantization condition and its gravitational (Taub-NUT) double copy, where we find a relativistic generalisation of the usual non-relativistic gravitational quantization condition. We also compute the relativistic Wilson loop for an anyon-anyon system, obtaining a similar relativistic generalisation of the Aharonov-Bohm phase for gravitational anyons.
Inspired by recent connections between spectral theory and topological string theory, we propose exact quantization conditions for the relativistic Toda lattice of N particles. These conditions involve the Nekrasov-Shatashvili free energy, which resums the perturbative WKB expansion, but they require in addition a non-perturbative contribution, which is related to the perturbative result by an S-duality transformation of the Planck constant. We test the quantization conditions against explicit calculations of the spectrum for N=3. Our proposal can be generalized to arbitrary toric Calabi-Yau m…
An attempt is made to apply the pure spinor formalism to the non-relativistic IIA D2-brane. The fermionic constraints corresponding to the rescaled fermionic coordinates are given. Two commuting spinor fields are introduced, each one corresponding to a fermionic constraint. A BRST charge is constructed via the ansatz proposed by N. Berkovits. The nilpotency of the BRST charge leads to a set of constraints for the two spinor fields including pure spinor constraints. A novel non-trivial solution is given for one of the spinor fields which can be written as a sum of two pure spinors.
A system consisting of a point particle coupled to gravity is investigated. The set of constraints is derived. It was found that a suitable superposition of those constraints is the generator of the infinitesimal transformations of the time coordinate $t\equiv x^0$ and serves as the Hamiltonian which gives the correct equations of motion. Besides that, the system satisfies the mass shell constraint, $p^μp_μ- m^2 = 0$, which is the generator of the worldsheet reparametrizations, where the momenta $p_μ$, $μ=0,1,2,3$, generate infinitesimal changes of the particle's position $X^μ$ in spacetime. C…
A series of successive quantizations is considered, starting with the quantization of a non relativistic or relativistic point particle: 1) quantization of a particle's position, 2) quantization of wave function, 3) quantization of wave functional. The latter step implies that the wave packet profiles forming the states of quantum field theory are themselves quantized, which gives new physical states that are configurations of configurations. In the procedure of quantization, instead of the Schrödinger first order equation in time derivative for complex wave function (or functional), the equiv…

New approach to quantization of the relativistic Majorana field is presented. It is based on expansion of the field into eigenfunctions of the axial momentum -- a novel observable introduced recently. Relativistic invariance is used as the main guiding principle instead of canonical formalism. Hidden structure of the quantized Majorana field in the form of real Clifford algebra of Hermitian fermionic operators is unveiled. Generators of the Poincaré transformations in the Fock space are found as solutions of certain operator equations, without invoking the principle of correspondence with clas…
Gauge theories with general covariance are particularly reluctant to quantization. We discuss the example of the Hamiltonian formulation of the relativistic point particle that, despite its apparent simplicity, is of crucial importance since a number of point particle systems can be cast into this form on a higher dimensional Rindler background, as recently pointed out by Hojman. It is shown that this system can be equipped with a hidden local, symmetry generating, constraint which on the one hand does not bother the classical evolution and on the other hand simplifies the realization of the p…
The zigzag model is a relativistic integrable $N$-body system describing the leading high-energy semiclassical dynamics on the worldsheet of long confining strings in massive adjoint two-dimensional QCD. We discuss quantization of this model. We demonstrate that to achieve a consistent quantization of the model it is necessary to account for the non-trivial geometry of phase space. The resulting Poincaré invariant integrable quantum theory is a close cousin of $T\bar{T}$ deformed models.
