We describe various nonrelativistic contractions of two classes of twisted Poincare algebra: canonical one ($θ_{μν}$-deformation) and the one leading to Lie-algebraic models of noncommutative space-times. The cases of contraction-independent and contraction-dependent twist parameters are considered. We obtain five models of noncommutative nonrelativistic space-times, in particular, two new Lie-algebraic nonrelativistic deformations of space-time, respectively, with quantum time/classical space and with quantum space/classical time.
New Galilei quantum groups dual to the Hopf algebras proposed in [1] are obtained by the nonrelativistic contraction procedures. The corresponding Lie-algebraic and quadratic quantum space-times are identified with the translation sectors of considered algebras.
In this article we discus the energy-momentum conservation principle for two-particle system in the case of canonically and Lie-algebraically twist-deformed Galilei Hopf algebra. Particularly, we provide consistent with the coproducts energy and momentum addition law as well as its symmetric with respect the exchange of particles counterpart. Besides, we show that the vanishing of total fourmomentum for two Lie-algebraically deformed kinematical models leads to the discret values of energies and momenta only in the case of the symmetrized addition rules.
The three quantum groups dual to the generalized twist deformed Poincare Hopf algebras are provided with use of FRT procedure. Their Galilean counterparts are obtained by nonrelativistic contraction scheme.
The three new deformed Poincare Hopf algebras are constructed with use of twist procedure. The corresponding relativistic space-times providing the sum of canonical and Lie-algebraic type of noncommutativity are proposed. Finally, the nonrelativistic contraction limits to the corresponding Galilei Hopf algebras are performed.
We propose canonical and Lie-algebraic twist deformations of $κ$-deformed Poincare Hopf algebra which leads to the generalized $κ$-Minkowski space-time relations. The corresponding deformed $κ$-Poincare quantum groups are also calculated. Finally, we perform the nonrelativistic contraction limit to the corresponding twisted Galilean algebras and dual Galilean quantum groups.
We provide fifteen twist-deformed doubly enlarged Newton-Hooke quantum space-times. In $τ$ approaching infinity limit the twisted doubly enlarged Galilei spaces are obtained as well.
Ten Abelian twist deformations of acceleration-enlarged Newton-Hooke Hopf algebra are considered. The corresponding quantum space-times are derived as well. It is demonstrate that their contraction limit $τ\to \infty$ leads to the new twisted acceleration-enlarged Galilei spaces.
We characterise Lie groups with bi-invariant bargmannian, galilean or carrollian structures. Localising at the identity, we show that Lie algebras with ad-invariant bargmannian, carrollian or galilean structures are actually determined by the same data: a metric Lie algebra with a skew-symmetric derivation. This is the same data defining a one-dimensional double extension of the metric Lie algebra and, indeed, bargmannian Lie algebras coincide with such double extensions, containing carrollian Lie algebras as an ideal and projecting to galilean Lie algebras. This sets up a canonical correspond…
We introduce new purely twistorial scale-invariant action describing the composite bosonic D=4 Nambu-Goto string with target space parametrized by the pair of D=4 twistors. We show that by suitable gauge fixing of local scaling one gets the bilinear twistorial action and canonical quantization rules for the two-dimensional twistor-string fields. We consider the Poisson brackets of all constraints characterizing our model and we obtain four first class constraints describing two Virasoro constraints and two U(1)xU(1) Kac-Moody (KM) local phase transformations.
In two recent papers [N. Aizawa, Y. Kimura, J. Segar, J. Phys. A 46 (2013) 405204] and [N. Aizawa, Z. Kuznetsova, F. Toppan, J. Math. Phys. 56 (2015) 031701], representation theory of the centrally extended l-conformal Galilei algebra with half-integer l has been applied so as to construct second order differential equations exhibiting the corresponding group as kinematical symmetry. It was suggested to treat them as the Schrodinger equations which involve Hamiltonians describing dynamical systems without higher derivatives. The Hamiltonians possess two unusual features, however. First, they i…
We study the canonical quantization of a bosonic string in presence of N twist fields. This generalizes the quantization of the twisted string in two ways: the in and out states are not necessarily twisted and the number of twist fields N can be bigger than 2. In order to quantize the theory we need to find the normal modes. Then we need to define a product between two modes which is conserved. Because of this we need to use the Klein-Gordon product and to separate the string coordinate into the classical and the quantum part. The quantum part has different boundary conditions than the origina…
We twist the Hopf algebra of igl(n,R) to obtain the kappa-deformed spacetime coordinates. Coproducts of the twisted Hopf algebras are explicitly given. The kappa-deformed spacetime obtained this way satisfies the same commutation relation as that of the conventional kappa-Minkowski spacetime, but its Hopf algebra structure is different from the well known kappa-deformed Poincare algebra in that it has larger symmetry algebra than the kappa-Minkowski case. There are some physical models which consider this symmetry. Incidentally, we obtain the canonical (theta-deformed) non-commutative spacetim…
In this article we provide three new twist-deformed Newtonian Schwarzschild-(Anti-)de Sitter models. They are defined on the Lie-algebraically as well as on the canonically noncommutative space-times respectively. Particularly we find the corresponding Hamiltonian functions and the proper equations of motion. The relations between the models are discussed as well.
We provide the classical mechanics of many particles moving in canonically twist-deformed space-time. In particular, we consider two examples of such noncommutative systems - the set of N particles moving in gravitational field as well as the system of N interacting harmonic oscillators.
We introduce the D=4 twistorial tensionfull bosonic string by considering the canonical twistorial 2--form in two--twistor space. We demonstrate its equivalence to two bosonic string models: due to Siegel (with covariant worldsheet vectorial string momenta $P_μ^{m}(τ,σ)$) and the one with tensorial string momenta $P_{[μν]}(τ,σ)$. We show how to obtain in mixed space-time--twistor formulation the Soroka--Sorokin--Tkach--Volkov (SSTV) string model and subsequently by harmonic gauge fixing the Bandos--Zheltukhin (BZ) model, with constrained spinorial coordinates.
We derive twistorial tensionful bosonic string action by considering on the world sheet the canonical twistorial 2-form in two-twistor space. We demonstrate the equivalence of or model to two known momentum formulations of D=4 bosonic string, with covariant worldsheet vectorial string momenta $P_μ^m(τ,σ)$ and the one with tensorial string momenta $P_{[μν]}(τ,σ)$. All considered here string actions, in twistorial and mixed spinor-spacetime formulations, are classically equivalent to the Nambu-Goto action.
We construct a quantum field theory in noncommutative spacetime by twisting the algebra of quantum operators (especially, creation and annihilation operators) of the corresponding quantum field theory in commutative spacetime. The twisted Fock space and S-matrix consistent with this algebra have been constructed. The resultant S-matrix is consistent with that of Filk\cite{Filk}. We find from this formulation that the spin-statistics relation is not violated in the canonical noncommutative field theories.
We investigate deformed superconformal symmetries on non(anti)commutative (super)spaces from the point of view of the Drinfel'd twisted symmetries. We classify all possible twist elements derived from an abelian subsector of the superconformal algebra. The symmetry breaking caused by the non(anti)commutativity of the (super)spaces is naturally interpreted as the modification of their coproduct emerging from the corresponding twist element. The remaining unbroken symmetries are determined by the commutative properties of those symmetry generators possessing the twist element. We also comment on…
We consider the relativistic phase space coordinates (x_μ,p_μ) as composite, described by functions of the primary pair of twistor coordinates. It appears that if twistor coordinates are canonicaly quantized the composite space-time coordinates are becoming noncommutative. We obtain deformed Heisenberg algebra which in order to be closed should be enlarged by the Pauli-Lubanski four-vector components. We further comment on star-product quantization of derived algebraic structures which permit to introduce spin-extended deformed Heisenberg algebra.
Within the framework of the flux formulation of Double Field Theory (DFT) we employ a generalised Scherk-Schwarz ansatz and discuss the classification of the twists that in the presence of the strong constraint give rise to constant generalised fluxes interpreted as gaugings. We analyse the various possibilities of turning on the fluxes $H_{ijk}, F_{ij}{}^k, Q_i{}^{jk}$ and $R^{ijk}$, and the solutions for the twists allowed in each case. While we do not impose the DFT (or equivalently supergravity) equations of motion, our results provide solution-generating techniques in supergravity when ap…
Within the spirit of Dirac's canonical quantization, noncommutative spacetime field theories are introduced by making use of the reparametrization invariance of the action and of an arbitrary non-canonical symplectic structure. This construction implies that the constraints need to be deformed, resulting in an automatic Drinfeld twisting of the generators of the symmetries associated with the reparametrized theory. We illustrate our procedure for the case of a scalar field in 1+1- spacetime dimensions, but it can be readily generalized to arbitrary dimensions and arbitrary types of fields.
We study the general deformed conformal-Poincare (Galilean) symmetries consistent with relativistic (nonrelativistic) canonical noncommutative spaces. In either case we obtain deformed generators, containing arbitrary free parameters, which close to yield new algebraic structures. We show that a particular choice of these parameters reproduces the undeformed algebra. The modified coproduct rules and the associated Hopf algebra are also obtained. Finally, we show that for the choice of parameters leading to the undeformed algebra, the deformations are represented by twist functions.
The covariant two-point functions, derived from Ward identities in direct space, can be affected by consistency problems and can become unbounded for large time- or space-separations. This difficulty arises for several extensions of dynamical scaling, for example Schrödinger-invariance, conformal Galilei invariance or meta-conformal invariance, but not for standard ortho-conformal invariance. For meta-conformal invariance in 1+1 dimensions, these difficulties can be cured by going over to a dual space and an extension of these dynamical symmetries through the construction of a new generator in…
Twistor formulation of massive arbitrary spin particle has been constructed. Twistor space of such particle is formed two twistors and two complex scalars which form together 'bosonic supertwistor'. The formulation is deduced from space-time one for spinning particle by means of introducing auxiliary harmonic variables and consequent partial fixing of gauges. It is carried out the canonical quantization of twistor massive particle with nonzero spin. It is found the eigenvalues of Casimir operators on particle states and harmonic expansion of wave function in spectrum.
We develop in a systematic fashion the idea of gauging 1d-space translations with fixed Newtonian time for nonrelativistic matter (particles and fields). By starting with a nonrelativistic free theory we obtain its minimal gauge invariant extension by introducing two gauge fields with a Maxwellian self interaction. We fix the gauge so that the residual symmetry group is the Galilei group and construct a representation of the extended Galilei algebra. The reduced N-particle Lagrangian describes geodesic motion in a (N-1)-dimensional (Pseudo-) Riemannian space. The singularity of the metric for …
The sixteen real coordinates of two-twistor space are transformed by a nonlinear mapping into an enlarged space-time framework. The standard relativistic phase space of coordinates $(X_μ, P_μ)$ is supplemented by a six-parameter spin phase manifold (two pairs $(η_α,σ_α)$ and $(\barη_{\dotα}, \barσ_{\dotα})$ of canonically conjugated Weyl spinors constrained by two second class constraints) and the electric charge phase space ($e,ϕ$). The free two-twistor classical mechanics is rewritten in this enlarged relativistic phase space as a model for a relativistic particle. Definite values for the ma…
A twistor model of a free massless spinning particle in 4-dimensional Minkowski space is studied in terms of spacetime and spinor variables. This model is specified by a simple action, referred to here as the gauged Shirafuji action, that consists of twistor variables and gauge fields on the 1-dimensional parameter space. We consider the canonical formalism of the model by following the Dirac formulation for constrained Hamiltonian systems. In the subsequent quantization procedure, we obtain a plane-wave solution with momentum spinors. From this solution and coefficient functions, we construct…
We introduce a general theory of twisting algebraic structures based on actions of a bialgebra. These twists are closely related to algebraic deformations and also to the theory of quasi-triangular bialgebras. In particular, a deformation produced from a universal deformation formula (UDF) is a special case of a twist. The most familiar example of a deformation produced from a UDF is perhaps the "Moyal product" which (locally) is the canonical quantization of the algebra of functions on a symplectic manifold in the direction of the Poisson bracket. In this case, the derivations comprising the …
Recently, there has been provided two chaotic models based on the twist-deformation of classical Henon-Heiles system. First of them has been constructed on the well-known, canonical space-time noncommutativity, while the second one on the Lie-algebraically type of quantum space, with two spatial directions commuting to classical time. In this article, we find the direct link between mentioned above systems, by synchronization both of them in the framework of active control method. Particularly, we derive at the canonical phase-space level the corresponding active controllers as well as we perf…
Within the context of the twisted Poincaré algebra, there exists no noncommutative analogue of the Minkowski space interpreted as the homogeneous space of the Poincaré group quotiented by the Lorentz group. The usual definition of commutative classical fields as sections of associated vector bundles on the homogeneous space does not generalise to the noncommutative setting, and the twisted Poincaré algebra does not act on noncommutative fields in a canonical way. We make a tentative proposal for the definition of noncommutative classical fields of any spin over the Moyal space, which has the d…
In the context of a canonical quantization of general relativity, one can deform the loop gravity phase space on a graph by replacing the T*SU(2) phase space attached to each edge by SL(2,C) seen as a phase space. This deformation is supposed to encode the presence of a non-zero cosmological constant. Here we show how to parametrize this phase space in terms of spinor variables, thus obtaining deformed spinor networks for loop gravity, with a deformed action of the gauge group SU(2) at the vertices. These are to be formally interpreted as the generalization of loop gravity twisted geometries t…
