The usual brane world scenario with anti de Sitter bulk has been generalized by considering a general form of energy momentum tensor in the bulk. The modified Einstein equation on the brane has been constructed. Two examples have been cited of which, the first one shows the usual brane equations when matter in the bulk is a negative cosmological constant. In the second example, the bulk matter is in the form of perfect fluid and as a result, an effective perfect fluid is obtained in the brane. Also it is noted that the effect of the dust bulk on the brane shows a dark energy behaviour and may be a possible explanation of the dark energy from the present day observational point of view.
By considering the p-brane motion in G/K symmetric space bulk we identify the G-invariant bulk metric in the solvable lie algebra gauge of the brane action. After calculating the Levi-Civita connection of this bulk metric we use it in the Gauss equation to compute the braneworld curvature in terms of the bulk coordinates. Finally, by making use of the Gauss equation in the braneworld Einstein equation we present a geometrical method of implementing the first fundamental form in the gravitating brane dynamics for the specially chosen symmetric space bulk case leading to an Einstein equation sol…
We consider the cosmology of a 3-brane universe, in a five dimensional space time (Bulk). We present some solutions to the five-dimensional Einstein equation, where a perfect fluid is confined to the 3-brane. We investigate the evolution of brane for two models of bulk. We choose ordinary and modified polytropic gas in brane and it is seen that these models have some new features.
We study the effect of the inclusion of bulk brane viscosity on brane world (BW) cosmology in the framework of the Eckart's theory, we focus in the Randall-Sundrum model with negative tension on the brane.
We consider brane cosmology when the 4D Ricci scalar term is added to the 5D Einstein-Hilbert action and discuss the role that the addition of this term has on the brane-bulk system. The induced brane dynamics is shown to be the usual Einstein dynamics coupled to a modified energy-momentum tensor which is well defined once the 5D Einstein equations are solved in the bulk. The 5D Einstein equations valid everywhere in the bulk, but not in the brane, are projected on the brane. Then making use for the embedding of the brane in the bulk of the Israel junction conditions, modified by a source term…
We investigated the effects of bulk scalar field in the braneworld cosmological scenario. The Friedmann equations and acceleration condition in presence of the bulk scalar field for a zero tension brane and cosmological constant are studied. In DGP model the effective Einstein equation on the brane is obtained with bulk scalar field. The rescaled bulk scalar field on the brane in the DGP model behaves as an effective four dimensional field, thus standard type cosmology is recovered. In present study of the DGP model, the late-time accelerating phase of the universe can be explained .
We consider the five-dimensional bulk spacetime with negative Lambda described by the Nariai metric (which is not conformally flat) and match it with a vacuum brane satisfying the proper boundary conditions. It is shown that the brane metric corresponds to a cloud of string dust of constant energy density.
A model of a thick brane in 5D bulk supported by two phantom scalar fields is considered. The comparison with a thick brane supported by two usual scalar fields is carried out. The distinctions between a thick brane supported by one usual scalar field and our model have been pointed out.
The braneworld cosmological model was constructed by embedding a 3-brane into a higher dimensional bulk background geometry and the usual matter of our universe was assumed to be confined in the brane while the gravity can propagate in the bulk. By considering that the bulk geometry is anisotropic, after reviewed the separable solution for the bulk metric and the result that the anisotropic property of the bulk can support the perfect fluid kind of the matter in the brane, we develop a formalism of the cosmological perturbation for this kind of anisotropic braneworld model. As in isotropic cas…
It is very common to ignore the non-local bulk effects in the study of brane-world cosmologies using the brane-world approach. However, we shall illustrate through the use of three different scenarios, that the non-local bulk-effect ${\cal P}_{μν}$ does indeed have significant impact on both the initial and future behaviour of brane-world cosmologies.
We consider the agegraphic models of dark energy in a braneworld scenario with brane-bulk energy exchange. We assume that the adiabatic equation for the dark matter is satisfied while it is violated for the agegraphic dark energy due to the energy exchange between the brane and the bulk. Our study shows that with the brane-bulk interaction, the equation of state parameter of agegraphic dark energy on the brane, $w_D$, can have a transition from normal state where $w_D >-1 $ to the phantom regime where $w_D <-1 $, while the effective equation of state for dark energy always satisfies $w^{\mathr…
In this short note, five-dimensional brane world models with dS_{4} metric on the branes are discussed. The explicit coordinate transformations, which show the equivalence between the bulk metric of these brane world models and the metric induced on an appropriate submanifolds in the flat six-dimensional pseudo-Euclidean space-time, are presented. The cases of the zero and non-zero cosmological constant in the bulk are discussed in detail.
There is nothing to prevent a higher-dimensional anti-de Sitter bulk spacetime from containing various other branes in addition to hosting our universe, presumed to be a positive-tension 3-brane. In particular, it could contain closed, microscopic branes that form the boundary surfaces of void bubbles and thus violate the null energy condition in the bulk. The possible existence of such micro branes can be investigated by considering the properties of the ground state of a pseudo-Wheeler-DeWitt equation describing brane quantum dynamics in minisuperspace. If they exist, a concentration of thes…
In this work we find cosmological solutions in the brane-bulk system starting from a 5-D line element which is a simple extension, for cosmological applications, of the pioneering Randall-Sundrum line element. From the knowledge of the bulk metric, assumed to have the form of plane waves propagating in the fifth dimension, we solve the corresponding 4-D Einstein equations on the brane with a well defined energy-momentum tensor.
We derive the full projected Einstein-Brans-Dicke gravitational equations associated with a n-dimensional brane embedded in a (n+1)-dimensional bulk. By making use of general conditions, as the positivity of the Brans-Dicke parameter and the effective Newton gravitational constant as well, we are able to constrain the brane cosmological constant in terms of the brane tension, the Brans-Dicke scalar field, and the trace of the stress tensor on the brane, in order to achieve a $dS$ brane. Applying these constraints to a specific five-dimensional model, a lower bound for the scalar field on the b…
We find exact solution of the Einstein equations in the context of the brane world scenario. We have supposed a {generalized chaplygin gas} equation of state for bulk. This study display a constant energy density and pressure for bulk in late time. It is shown that our assumptions impose a specific equation of state on brane. {In this work, we have obtained a decelerate universe in early time and late time.} In the end, it is shown that under some assumption we have equation of state of cosmological constant for bulk.
The paper presents some solutions to the five dimensional Einstein equations due to a perfect fluid on the brane with pure dust filling the entire bulk in one case and a cosmological constant (or vacuum) in the bulk for the second case. In the first case, there is a linear relationship between isotropic pressure, energy density and the brane tension, while in the second case, the perfect fluid is assumed to be in the form of chaplygin gas. Cosmological solutions are found both for brane and bulk scenarios and some interesting features are obtained for the chaplygin gas on the brane which are d…
A model of an emergent universe is obtained in brane world. Here the bulk energy is in the form of cosmological constant, while the brane consists of a fluid satisfying an equation of state of the form $p_{b}={1/3} ρ_{b}$, which is effectively a radiation equation of state at high energies. It is shown that with the positive bulk cosmological constant, one of our models represents an emergent universe.
Recently, Borzou et al. (BSSY) generalized the Shiromizu-Maeda-Sasaki (SMS) formulation to f(R)-bulks. BSSY brane projected equation carries an additional stress tensor, besides SMS correction for Einstein's theory on the brane. If we change this perspective, by requiring BSSY tensor in the geometrical side acting as f(R)-brane generator, it is possible to relate f(R)-brane/bulk theories, by using curvature dynamical constraint (CDC), a concept that we developed. Since that brane and bulk are f(R), 5/4D scalar curvatures also play a dynamical role and, thus, a dynamical version to Gauss equati…
We propose the mechanism of spontaneous symmetry breaking of a bulk vector field as a way to generate the selection of bulk dimensions invisible to the standard model confined to the brane. By assigning a non-vanishing vacuum value to the vector field, a direction is singled out in the bulk vacuum, thus breaking the bulk Lorentz symmetry. We present the condition for induced Lorentz symmetry on the brane, as phenomenologically required.
We have developed a formalism to study an inflationary scenario driven by a bulk inflaton in the two-brane system. The 4-dimensional low energy effective action is obtained using the gradient expansion method. It is also found that the dark radiation and the dark scalar source are expressed by the radion. In the single-brane limit, we find these dark components disappear. Therefore, it turns out that the inflation due to the bulk inflaton successfully takes place. Kaluza-Klein corrections are also taken into account in this case.
Specific dark energy models with linear inhomogeneous time-dependent equation of state, within the framework of 4d Friedman-Robertson-Walker (FRW) cosmology, are investigated. It is demonstrated that the choice of such 4d inhomogeneous fluid models may lead to a brane FRW cosmology without any explicit account of higher dimensions at all. Effectively, we thus obtain a brane dark energy universe without introducing the brane concept explicitly. Several examples of brane Rip cosmology arising from 4d inhomogeneous dark fluid models are given.
We construct an asymmetric braneworld embedding with induced gravity on the brane, where stringy effects are taken into account by incorporation of the Gauss-Bonnet term in the bulk action. We derive the effective Friedmann equation of the brane and then we investigate the possible realization of the phantom-like behavior in this setup. We show that in the absence of the Gauss-Bonnet term in the bulk action (a pure induced gravity scenario), the phantom-like behavior in asymmetric case can be realized in smaller redshift than the corresponding symmetric case. We show also that in the general c…
We study the cosmology for a two branes model in a space-time of five dimensions where the extra coordinate is compactified on an orbifold. The hidden brane is filled with a real scalar field endowed with a quadratic potential that behaves as primordial dark matter field. This case is analyzed when the radion effects are negligible in comparison with the density energy; all possible solutions are found by means of a dynamical system approach.
We study gravity on an infinitely thin codimension-2 brane world, with purely conical singularities and in the presence of an induced gravity term on the brane. We show that in this approximation, the energy momentum tensor of the bulk is strongly related to the energy momentum tensor of the brane and thus the gravity dynamics on the brane are induced by the bulk content. This is in contrast with the gravity dynamics on a codimension-1 brane. We show how this strong result is relaxed after including a Gauss-Bonnet term in the bulk.
Solutions of geodesic equations describing propagation of gravitons in the bulk are studied in a cosmological model with one extra dimension. Brane with matter is embedded in the bulk. It is shown that in the period of early cosmology gravitons emitted from the brane to the bulk under certain conditions can return back to the brane. The model is discussed in two alternative approaches: (i) brane with static metric moving in the AdS space, and (ii) brane located at a fixed position in extra dimension with non-static metric. Transformation of coordinates from the one picture to another is perfor…
We show that for non-conformally flat bulk spacetime, there exist no bound modes for zero mass graviton on the 3-brane. The brane world model is therefore unstable for the bulk spacetime being different from the conformally flat anti - de Sitter space.
Starting with the Nambu-Goto action of the braneworld embedded in a curved bulk, we derive the precise expressions for the quantum induced effects due to small fluctuations of the brane. To define the brane fluctuations invariantly, we introduce the Riemannian coordinate system for the subspace normal to the braneworld. It will turn out that we can systematically incorporate the effects of bulk curvature, and that the induced effects depend on the extrinsic curvature and the normal-connection gauge field as well as on bulk curvature components at the brane.
There are two different approaches to handle brane-world models brane-based or bulk-based. In the brane-based approach, the brane is chosen to be fixed on a coordinate system, whereas in the bulk-based approach, it is no longer static as it moves along the extra dimension. It is aimed to get a general formalism of the equivalence between two approaches obtained for a specific model in Mukohyama et all [12]. We found that calculations driven by a general anisotropic bulk-based metric yields a brane-based metric in Gaussian Normal Coordinates by conserving spatial anisotropy.
We consider brane-world models with a Schwarzschild-AdS black hole bulk. In the particular case of a flat black hole horizon geometry, we study the behaviour of the brane cosmological equations when T-duality transformations act on the bulk. We find that the scale factor is inverted and that either the Friedmann equation or the energy conservation equation are unchanged. However, these become both invariant if we include a tension in the brane action. In this case, the T-duality in the bulk is completely equivalent to the scale factor duality on the brane.
The singularity structure and the corresponding asymptotic behavior of a 3-brane coupled to a scalar field in a five dimensional bulk is analyzed in full generality, using the method of asymptotic splittings. It is shown that the collapse singularity at a finite distance from the brane can be avoided only at the expense of making the brane world-volume positively or negatively curved.
We investigate the analogue of the Randall-Sundrum brane-world in the case when the bulk contains a black hole. Instead of the static vacuum Minkowski brane of the RS model, we have an Einstein static vacuum brane. We find that the presence of the bulk black hole has a dramatic effect on the gravity that is felt by brane observers. In the RS model, the 5D graviton has a stable localized zero-mode that reproduces 4D gravity on the brane at low energies. With a bulk black hole, there is no such solution -- gravity is delocalized by the 5D horizon. However, the brane does support a discrete spect…
We study the cosmology of a 5-dimensional brane, which represents a regularization of a 4-dimensional codimension-2 brane, embedded in a conical bulk. The brane is assumed to be tensional, and to contain a curvature term. Cosmology is obtained by letting the brane move trough the bulk, and implementing dynamical junction conditions. Our results shows that, with suitable choices of the parameters, the resulting cosmological dynamics mimics fairly well standard 4-dimensional cosmology.
We investigate the relation between the brane-based and the bulk-based approaches for anisotropic case in brane-world models. In the brane-based approach, the brane is chosen to be fixed on a coordinate system, whereas in the bulk-based approach it is no longer static as it moves along the extra dimension. It was shown that these two approaches are basicly equal for specific models Mukohyama et al., Bowcock et al. In this paper, it is aimed to get general formalism of the equivalence obtained in Mukohyama et al. We found that calculations driven by a general anisotropic bulk-based metric yield…
We explore the possibility to locate a brane in black hole bulks. We study explicitly the cases of BHTZ and Schwarzschild-anti de Sitter (AdS) black holes. Our result is that in these cases branes cannot be supported by brane tension alone and it is necessary to introduce other forms of matter on the brane. We find classes of perfect fluid solutions obeying to peculiar state equations. For the case of BHTZ bulk geometry the state equation takes exactly the form of a ``Chaplygin gas'', which is relevant in the brane context. In the Schwarzschild-AdS case we find new state equations which reduce…
Using a fully covariant treatment for the description of the bulk geometry, we study the brane cosmological evolution in the presence of a smooth bulk matter distribution. We focus on the case of a Friedmann-Robertson-Walker (FRW) brane, invariantly characterized by the existence of a six-dimensional group of isometries acting on 3D spacelike orbits. With a FRW brane, the bulk geometry can be regarded as the 5D generalization of the \emph{inhomogeneous orthogonal family of Locally Rotationally Symmetric (LRS)} spacetimes. We show that, for \emph{any bulk matter configuration}, the expansion ra…
We present recent results on the asymptotics of a brane-world that consists of a flat 3-brane embedded in a five-dimensional bulk. The bulk matter is modelled by a fluid that satisfies a nonlinear equation of state. We show that for appropriate ranges of the equation of state parameters, it is possible to construct a regular solution, compatible with energy conditions, that successfully localizes gravity on the brane. These results improve significantly previous findings on the study of a bulk fluid with a linear equation of state.
In this paper we study the dynamics of a 5D bulk space-time with our universe as a "test 3-brane" located in the bulk, an idealized model of a topological object whose physical properties is negligible in comparison with that of the bulk. Our universe experiences acceleration and its equation of state parameter crosses the phantom divide line due to the geometry of the bulk space-time.
We obtain the effective field equations in a brane-world scenario within the framework of a DGP model where the action on the brane is an arbitrary function of the Ricci scalar, ${\cal L}(R)$, and the bulk action includes a scalar field in the matter Lagrangian. We obtain the Friedmann equations and acceleration conditions in the presence of the bulk scalar field for the $R^n$ term in four-dimensional gravity.
The existence of envelopes is studied for systems of differential equations in connection with the method of asymptotic splittings which allows to determine the singularity structure of the solutions. The result is applied to braneworlds consisting of a 3-brane in a five-dimensional bulk, in the presence of an analog of a bulk perfect fluid parametrizing a generic class of bulk matter. We find that all flat brane solutions suffer from a finite distance singularity contrary to previous claims. We then study the possibility of avoiding finite distance singularities by cutting the bulk and gluing…
In the context of brane cosmology, a scenario where our universe is a 3+1-dimensional surface (the ``brane'') embedded in a five-dimensional spacetime (the ``bulk''), we study geometries for which the brane is anisotropic - more specifically Bianchi I - though still homogeneous. We first obtain explicit vacuum bulk solutions with anisotropic three-dimensional spatial slices. The bulk is assumed to be empty but endowed with a negative cosmological constant. We then embed Z_2-symmetric branes in the anisotropic spacetimes and discuss the constraints on the brane energy-momentum tensor due to the…
The consequences for the brane cosmological evolution of energy exchange between the brane and the bulk are analysed in detail, in the context of a non-factorizable background geometry with vanishing effective cosmological constant on the brane. A rich variety of brane cosmologies is obtained, depending on the precise mechanism of energy transfer, the equation of state of brane-matter and the spatial topology. An accelerating era is generically a feature of our solutions. In the case of low-density flat universe more dark matter than in the conventional FRW picture is predicted. Spatially comp…
We study the cosmology of a two-brane model in a five-dimensional spacetime, where the extra spatial coordinate is compactifed on an orbifold. Additionally, we consider the existence on each brane of matter fields that evolve in time. Solving the Einstein equations in a vacuum bulk, we can show how the matter fields in both branes are connected and they do not evolve independently
We derive the low-energy effective theory of gravity for a generalized Randall-Sundrum scenario, allowing for a third self-gravitating brane to live in the 5D bulk spacetime. At zero order the 5D spacetime is composed of two slices of anti-de Sitter spacetime, each with a different curvature scale, and the 5D Weyl tensor vanishes. Two boundary branes are at the fixed points of the orbifold whereas the third brane is free to move in the bulk. At first order, the third brane breaks the otherwise continuous evolution of the projection of the Weyl tensor normal to the branes. We derive a junction …
By extending previous analysis of the authors, a systematic study of the singularity structure and possible asymptotic behaviors of five-dimensional braneworld solutions is performed in the case where the bulk is a mixture of an analog of perfect fluid (with a density and pressure depending on the extra coordinate) and a massless scalar field. The two bulk components interact by exchanging energy so that the total energy is conserved. In a particular range of the interaction parameters, we find flat brane general solutions avoiding the singularity at finite distance from the brane, in the same…
We construct a regular five-dimensional brane-world with localised gravity on a flat 3-brane. The matter content in the bulk is parametrised by an analog of a non-linear fluid with equation of state $p=γρ^λ$ between the `pressure' $p$ and the `density' $ρ$ dependent on the 5th dimension. For $γ$ negative and $λ>1$, the null energy condition is satisfied, and the geometry is free of singularities within finite distance from the brane, while the induced four-dimensional Planck mass is finite.
We find new closed string couplings on Dp-branes for the bosonic string. These couplings are quadratic in derivatives and therefore take the form of induced kinetic terms on the brane. For the graviton in particular we find the induced Einstein-Hilbert term as well as terms quadratic in the second fundamental tensor. We comment on tachyon dependences of these brane-localized couplings.
We discuss a Brane World scenario where we live on a 3-brane with massive gravity in infinite-volume bulk. The bulk graviton can be much heavier than the inverse Hubble size, as heavy as the bulk Planck scale, whose lower bound is roughly the inverse of 0.1 mm. The 4D Einstein-Hilbert term on the brane shields the brane matter from both strong bulk gravity and large bulk graviton mass. Gravity on the brane does not become higher-dimensional at large distances. Instead, at distance scales above the bulk Planck length, gravity on the brane behaves as 4D gravity with small graviton mass roughly o…
The brane-world cosmological model in higher-dimensional spacetime with a bulk scalar field is investigated. We derive the $(4+n)$-dimensional gravitational field equations for the scalar field on the $(3+n)$-brane in a $(5+n)$-dimensional bulk with Einstein gravity plus a self-interacting scalar field. The $(4+n)$-dimensional gravitational field equations can be formulated to standard form with the extra component. Using this formalism we study the Kaluza-Klein brane cosmology. We derive the Friedmann equation and a possible energy leak out of the brane into the bulk. We present some exact so…
The five-dimensional description of generalized Randall-Sundrum cosmology is mapped via holography to a generalization of the Starobinsky model. This provides a holographic dual description of the cosmological brane-bulk energy exchange processes studied previously. Some simple solutions are presented in four dimensions.
We discuss black hole solutions in six-dimensional gravity with a Gauss-Bonnet term in the bulk and an induced gravity term on a thin 3-brane of codimension-2. We show that these black holes can be localized on the brane, and they can further be extended into the bulk by a warp function. These solutions have regular horizons and no other curvature singularities appear apart from the string-like ones. The projection of the Gauss-Bonnet term on the brane imposes a constraint relation which requires the presence of matter in the extra dimensions.
From the dynamics of a brane-world with matter fields present in the bulk, the bulk metric and the black string solution near the brane are generalized, when both the dynamics of inhomogeneous dust/generalized dark radiation on the brane-world and inhomogeneous dark radiation in the bulk as well are considered -- as exact dynamical collapse solutions. Based on the analysis on the inhomogeneous static exterior of a collapsing sphere of homogeneous dark radiation on the brane, the associated black string warped horizon is studied, as well as the 5D bulk metric near the brane. Moreover, the black…
We consider the evolution of a bulk scalar field in anti-de Sitter (AdS) spacetime linearly coupled to a scalar field on a de Sitter boundary brane. We present results of a spectral analysis of the system, and find that the model can exhibit both bound and continuum resonant modes. We find that zero, one, or two bound states may exist, depending upon the masses of the brane and bulk fields relative to the Hubble length and the AdS curvature scale and the coupling strength. In all cases, we find a critical coupling above which there exists a tachyonic bound state. We show how the 5-dimensional …
We present the study of a two 3-branes system embedded in a 5-dimensional space-time in which the fifth dimension is compacted on a $S^{1}/Z_{2}$ orbifold and the space between the two branes is vacuum. Assuming isotropic and homogeneous space time, we probe that the dynamics of the visible brane is affected by the dynamics of the hidden brane and the possible components which fills it. We study two different cases: assuming a constant equation of state and inflationary scalar field, and its possible consequences in the brane evolution.
We consider a recent proposal to solve the cosmological constant problem within the context of brane world scenarios with infinite volume extra dimensions. In such theories bulk can be supersymmetric even if brane supersymmetry is completely broken. We propose a setup where unbroken bulk supersymmetry appears to protect the brane cosmological constant. This is due to a non-trivial scalar potential in the bulk which implies a non-trivial profile for a bulk scalar field. In the presence of the latter bulk supersymmetry appears to be incompatible with non-vanishing brane cosmological constant. Mo…
In this work, we review and extend the so-called consistency conditions for the existence of a braneworld scenario in arbitrary dimensions in the Brans-Dicke (BD) gravitational theory. After that, we consider the particular case of a five-dimensional scenario which seems to have phenomenological interesting implications. We show that, in the BD framework, it is possible to achieve necessary conditions pointing to the possibility of accommodating branes with positive tensions in an AdS bulk by the presence of the additional BD scalar field, avoiding in this way the necessity of including unstab…
We study the fate of a collapsing star on the brane in a generalized braneworld gravity with bulk matter. Specifically, we investigate for the possibility of having a static exterior for a collapsing star in the radiative bulk scenario. Here, the nonlocal correction due to bulk matter is manifest in an induced mass that adds up to the physical mass of the star resulting in an effective mass. A Schwarzschild solution for the exterior in terms of this effective mass is obtained, which reveals that even if the star exchanges energy with the bulk, the exterior may appear to be static to a branewor…
In the standard brane world models, the bulk metric ansatz is usually assumed to be factorizable in brane and bulk coordinates. However, it is not self-evident that it is always possible to factorize the bulk metric. Using the gradient expansion scheme, which involves the expansion of bulk quantities in terms of the brane-to-bulk curvature ratio, as a perturbative parameter, we explicitly show that metric factorizability is a valid assumption upto second order in the perturbative expansion. We also argue from our result that the same should be true for all orders in the perturbation scheme. We…
We compute how bulk loops renormalize both bulk and brane effective interactions for codimension-two branes in 6D gauged chiral supergravity, as functions of the brane tension and brane-localized flux. We do so by explicitly integrating out hyper- and gauge-multiplets in 6D gauged chiral supergravity compactified to 4D on a flux-stabilized 2D rugby-ball geometry, specializing the results of a companion paper, arXiv:1210.3753, to the supersymmetric case. While the brane back-reaction generically breaks supersymmetry, we show that the bulk supersymmetry can be preserved if the amount of brane-lo…
Following a recent approach, complete and analytic solutions (brane and bulk) of regular black holes are shown in a brane context. The metrics are regular both on the four-dimensional brane and in the five-dimensional bulk. Like many brane world scenarios, the bulk spacetime is asymptotically anti-de Sitter. On the other hand, a de Sitter core on the brane avoids the singularity inside the event horizon, providing then well-known regular black holes on the brane. From the bulk perspective, the regular black holes are five-dimensional objects, with the event horizon extending to the extra dimen…
