We prove some conditions on the existence of natural boundaries of Dirichlet series. We show that generically the presumed boundary is the natural one. We also give an application of natural boundaries in determining asymptotic results.
We prove an analogue of the Lagrange Inversion Theorem for Dirichlet series. The proof is based on studying properties of Dirichlet convolution polynomials, which are analogues of convolution polynomials introduced by Knuth in [4].
This note deals with the relationship between the abscissas of simple, uniform and absolute convergence for the Dirichlet series $f(s) = \sum_{n=1}^\infty a_n n^{-s}$, when the coefficients $a_n$ are either multiplicative or completely multiplicative.
This paper establishes connections between the boundary behaviour of functions representable as absolutely convergent Dirichlet series in a half-plane and the convergence properties of partial sums of the Dirichlet series on the boundary. This yields insights into the boundary behaviour of Dirichlet series and Taylor series which have universal approximation properties.
We characterize the uniform limits of Dirichlet polynomials on a right half plane. In the Dirichlet setting, we find approximation results, with respect to the Euclidean distance and {to} the chordal one as well, analogous to classical results of Runge, Mergelyan and Vitushkin. We also strengthen the notion of universal Dirichlet series.
It is shown that the algebra of bounded Dirichlet series is not a coherent ring, and has infinite Bass stable rank. As corollaries of the latter result, it is derived that the algebra of bounded Dirichlet series has infinite topological stable rank and infinite Krull dimension.
Fundamental domains are found for functions defined by general Dirichlet series and using basic properties of conformal mappings the Great Riemann Hypothesis is studied.
This paper investigates lower bounds on the number of zeros and poles of a general Dirichlet series in a disk of radius $r$ and gives, as a consequence, an affirmative answer to an open problem of Bombieri and Perelli on the bound. Applications will also be given to Picard type theorems, global estimates on the symmetric difference of zeros, and uniqueness problems for Dirichlet series.
We establish necessary and sufficient conditions for boundedness of composition operators on the most general class of Hilbert spaces of entire Dirichlet series with real frequencies. Depending on whether or not the space contains any nonzero constant function, different criteria for boundedness are developed. Thus, we complete the characterization of bounded composition operators on all known Hilbert spaces of entire Dirichlet series of one variable.
For the Dirichlet series of the form $\displaystyle F(z,ω)=\sum\nolimits_{k=0}^{+\infty} f_k(ω)e^{zλ_k(ω)} $ $ (z\in\mathbb{C},$ $ω\inΩ)$ with pairwise independent real exponents $(λ_k(ω))$ on probability space $(Ω,\mathcal{A},P)$ an estimates of abscissas convergence and absolutely convergence are established.
In this paper we wish to study some growth properties of entire functions represented by a vector valued Dirichlet series on the basis of (p,q)th relative Ritt order, (p,q)th relative Ritt type and (p,q)th relative Ritt weak type.
We dealt in a series of previous publications with some geometric aspects of the mappings by functions obtained as analytic continuations to the whole complex plane of general Dirichlet series. Pictures illustrating those aspects contain a lot of other information which has been waiting for a rigorous proof. Such a task is partially fulfilled in this paper, where we succeeded among other things, to prove a theorem about general Dirichlet series having as corollary the Speiser's theorem. We have also proved that those functions do not possess multiple zeros of order higher than $2$ and the doub…
We characterize the space of multipliers from the Hardy space of Dirichlet series $\mathcal H_p$ into $\mathcal H_q$ for every $1 \leq p,q \leq \infty$. For a fixed Dirichlet series, we also investigate some structural properties of its associated multiplication operator. In particular, we study the norm, the essential norm, and the spectrum for an operator of this kind. We exploit the existing natural identification of spaces of Dirichlet series with spaces of holomorphic functions in infinitely many variables and apply several methods from complex and harmonic analysis to obtain our results.…
We show that, in every weighted Dirichlet space on the unit disk with superharmonic weight, the Taylor series of a function in the space is $(C,α)$-summable to the function in the norm of the space, provided that $α>1/2$. We further show that the constant $1/2$ is sharp, in marked contrast with the classical case of the disk algebra.
This paper is associated with Nevanlinna class, Dirichlet series and Szegö's problem in infinitely many variables. As we will see, there is a natural connection between these topics. The paper first introduces the Nevanlinna class and the Smirnov class in this context, and generalizes the classical theory in finitely many variables to the infinite-variable setting. These results applied to Szegö's problem on Hardy spaces in infinitely many variables. Moreover, this paper is also devoted to the study of the correspondence between the Nevanlinna functions and Dirichlet series.
We introduce a mean counting function for Dirichlet series, which plays the same role in the function theory of Hardy spaces of Dirichlet series as the Nevanlinna counting function does in the classical theory. The existence of the mean counting function is related to Jessen and Tornehave's resolution of the Lagrange mean motion problem. We use the mean counting function to describe all compact composition operators with Dirichlet series symbols on the Hardy--Hilbert space of Dirichlet series, thus resolving a problem which has been open since the bounded composition operators were described b…
We solve the classical Dirichlet problem for a general complex Hessian equation on a small ball in $\bC^n$. Then, we show that there is a continuous solution, in pluripotential theory sense, to the Dirichlet problem on compact Hermitian manifolds with boundary that equipped locally conformal Kähler metrics, provided a subsolution.
