Using colored superanalysis and epsilon-Lie superalgebras, we build the minimal Poincare superalgebra in the case of the Z_n^3-grading. We then build a representation of this algebra, and the corresponding Poincare supergroup.
Quantum mechanical systems whose symmetry is given by $\mathbb{Z}_2^3$-graded version of superconformal algebra are introduced. This is done by finding a realization of a $\mathbb{Z}_2^3$-graded Lie superalgebra in terms of a standard Lie superalgebra and the Clifford algebra. The realization allows us to map many models of superconformal quantum mechanics (SCQM) to their $\mathbb{Z}_2^3$-graded extensions. It is observed that for the simplest SCQM with $\mathfrak{osp}(1|2)$ symmetry there exist two inequivalent $\mathbb{Z}_2^3$-graded extensions. Applying the standard prescription of conforma…
Lowest weight representations of the ${\mathbb Z}_2 \otimes {\mathbb Z}_2$ graded superalgebra introduced by Rittenberg and Wyler are investigated. We give a explicit construction of Verma modules over the ${\mathbb Z}_2 \otimes {\mathbb Z}_2$ graded superalgebra and show their reducibility by using singular vectors. The explicit formula of singular vectors are given and are used to derive partial differential equations invariant under the color supergroup generated by the ${\mathbb Z}_2 \otimes {\mathbb Z}_2$ graded superalgebra.
In this paper we extend general results obtained by V. Kac and J. Liberati, in "Unitary quasifinite representations of $W_\infty$", (Letters Math. Phys., 53 (2000), 11-27), for quasifinite highest weight representations of $\Z$-graded Lie algebras to ${1/2}\Z$-graded Lie superalgebras, and we apply these to classify the irreducible quasifinite highest weight modules of the Lie superalgebra of quantum pseudo-differential operators.
We present a novel realisation of the $\mathbb{Z}_2\times\mathbb{Z}_2$-graded Lie superalgebra $\mathfrak{gl}(m_1,m_2|n_1,n_2)$ inside an algebraic extension of the enveloping algebra of the $\mathbb{Z}_2$-graded Lie superalgebra $\mathfrak{gl}(m|n)$, with $m=m_1+m_2$ and $n=n_1+n_2$. A consequence of this realisation is that the representations of $\mathfrak{gl}(m|n)$ "lift up" to representations of $\mathfrak{gl}(m_1,m_2|n_1,n_2)$, with matrix elements differing only by a sign, which we are able to characterise concisely.
We discuss a generalization of N=6 three-algebras to N=5 three-algebras in connection to anti-Lie triple systems and basic Lie superalgebras of type II. We then show that the structure constants defined in anti-Lie triple systems agree with those of N=5 superconformal theories in three dimensions.
Dual Pfaff equations (of the form \tilde D^a = 0, \tilde D^a some vector fields of degree -1) preserved by the exceptional infinite-dimensional simple Lie superalgebras ksle(5|10), vle(3|6) and mb(3|8) are constructed, yielding an intrinsic geometric definition of these algebras. This leads to conditions on the vector fields, which are solved explicitly. Expressions for preserved differential form equations (Pfaff equations), brackets (similar to contact brackets) and tensor modules are written down. The analogous construction for the contact superalgebra k(1|m) (a.k.a. the centerless N=m supe…
An algebra A not encountered in either the usual algebraic varieties or supervarieties is introduced. A is a graded and deformed version of the quaternions, with structure similar to that of a Jordan-Lie superalgebra as defined by Okubo and Kamiya, but it is shown to be neither that of a purely associative Lie superalgebra, nor that of a purely antiassociative Jordan-Lie superalgebra. Rather, it exhibits a novel kind of associativity, here called `ordered graded associativity', that is somewhat `in between' pure associativity and pure antiassociativity. In addition to graded associativity, the…
In the recent paper, Bruce and Duplij introduced a double-graded version of supersymmetric quantum mechanics (SQM). It is an extension of Lie superalgebraic nature of ${\cal N}=1$ SQM to a $\mathbb{Z}_2^2$-graded superalgebra. In this work, we propose an extension of Bruce-Duplij model to higher values of $\cal N.$ Furthermore, it is shown that our construction of double-graded SQM is a special case of the method which converts a given Lie superalgebra to a $\mathbb{Z}_2^2$-graded superalgebra. By employing this method one may convert a model of superconformal mechanics to its double-graded ve…
We consider a superextension of the extended Jordanian twist, describing nonstandard quantization of anti-de-Sitter ($AdS$) superalgebra $osp(1|4)$ in the form of Hopf superalgebra. The super-Jordanian twisting function and corresponding basic coproduct formulae for the generators of $osp(1|4)$ are given in explicit form. The nonlinear transformation of the classical superalgebra basis not modifying the defining algebraic relations but simplifying coproducts and antipodes is proposed. Our physical application is to interpret the new super-Jordanian deformation of $osp(1|4)$ superalgebra as def…
We present a large class of supersymmetric classical r-matrices, describing the supertwist deformations of Poincare and Euclidean superalgebras. We consider in detail new family of four supertwists of N=1 Poincare superalgebra and provide as well their Euclidean counterpart. The proposed supertwists are better adjusted to the description of deformed D=4 Euclidean supersymmetries with independent left-chiral and right-chiral supercharges. They lead to new quantum superspaces, obtained by the superextension of twist deformations of spacetime providing Lie-algebraic noncommutativity of space-time…
Tensor operators in graded representations of Z_{2}-graded Hopf algebras are defined and their elementary properties are derived. Wigner-Eckart theorem for irreducible tensor operators for U_{q}[osp(1\mid 2)] is proven. Examples of tensor operators in the irreducible representation space of Hopf algebra U_{q}[osp(1\mid 2)] are considered. The reduced matrix elements for the irreducible tensor operators are calculated. A construction of some elements of the center of U_{q}[osp(1\mid 2)] is given.
In this paper, we give a generalization of results in \cite{PU07} and \cite{DPU10} by applying the tools of graded Lie algebras to quadratic Lie superalgebras. In this way, we obtain a numerical invariant of quadratic Lie superalgebras and a classification of singular quadratic Lie superalgebras, i.e. those with a nonzero invariant. Finally, we study a class of quadratic Lie superalgebras obtained by the method of generalized double extensions.
The superalgebra of $\Z_2^2$-graded supersymmetric quantum mechanics is shown to be realizable in terms of a single bosonic degree of freedom. Such an approach is directly inspired by a description of the corresponding $\Z_2$-graded superalgebra in the framework of a Calogero-Vasiliev algebra or, more generally, of a generalized deformed oscillator algebra. In the case of the $\Z_2^2$-graded superalgebra, the central element $Z$ has the property of distinguishing between degenerate eigenstates of the Hamiltonian.
In this paper we define the degree of a morphism between (generalized) Verma modules over a graded Lie superalgebra and construct series of morphisms of various degrees between (generalized) Verma modules over the exceptional infinite-dimensional linearly compact simple Lie superalgebra E(5,10). We prove that all such morphisms of degree 1 are found.
This paper presents the classification, over the fields of real and complex numbers, of the minimal ${\mathbb Z}_2\times{\mathbb Z}_2$-graded Lie algebras and Lie superalgebras spanned by $4$ generators and with no empty graded sector. The inequivalent graded Lie (super)algebras are obtained by solving the constraints imposed by the respective graded Jacobi identities. A motivation for this mathematical result is to systematically investigate the properties of dynamical systems invariant under graded (super)algebras. Recent works only paid attention to the special case of the one-dimensional $…
We use the expansion of superalgebras procedure (summarized in the text) to derive Chern-Simons (CS) actions for the (p,q)-Poincare supergravities in three-dimensional spacetime. After deriving the action for the (p,0)-Poincare supergravity as a CS theory for the expansion osp(p|2;R)(2,1) of osp(p|2;R), we find the general (p,q)-Poincare superalgebras and their associated D=3 supergravity actions as CS gauge theories from an expansion of the simple osp(p+q|2,R) superalgebras, namely osp(p+q|2,R)(2,1,2).
When the relative commutation relations between a set of m parafermions and n parabosons are of ``relative parafermion type'', the underlying algebraic structure is the classical orthosymplectic Lie superalgebra osp(2m+1|2n). The relative commutation relations can also be chosen differently, of ``relative paraboson type''. In this second case, the underlying algebraic structure is no longer an ordinary Lie superalgebra, but a Z_2 x Z_2$-graded Lie superalgebra, denoted here by pso(2m+1|2n). The identification of this new algebraic structure was performed by Tolstoy, amongst others. In the pres…
A class of representations of the $\mathbb{Z}_2\times\mathbb{Z}_2$-graded special linear Lie superalgebra $\mathfrak{sl}(m_1+1,m_2|n_1,n_2)$ and quantum statistics
We generalize the real and chiral $ {\cal N} =2 $ super Schrödinger algebras to ${\mathbb Z}_2 \times {\mathbb Z}_2$-graded Lie superalgebras. This is done by $D$-module presentation and as a consequence, the $D$-module presentations of ${\mathbb Z}_2 \times {\mathbb Z}_2$-graded superalgebras are identical to the ones of super Schrödinger algebras. We then generalize the calculus over Grassmann number to ${\mathbb Z}_2 \times {\mathbb Z}_2 $ setting. Using it and the standard technique of Lie theory, we obtain a vector field realization of ${\mathbb Z}_2 \times {\mathbb Z}_2$-graded superalge…
We introduce a class of novel $\mathbb{Z}_2 \times \mathbb{Z}_2$-graded color superalgebras of infinite dimension. It is done by realizing each member of the class in the universal enveloping algebra of a Lie superalgebra which is a module extension of the Virasoro algebra. Then the complete classification of central extensions of the $\mathbb{Z}_2 \times \mathbb{Z}_2$-graded color superalgebras is presented. It turns out that infinitely many members of the class have non-trivial extensions. We also demonstrate that the color superalgebras (with and without central extensions) have adjoint and…
From the four normed division algebras--the real numbers, complex numbers, quaternions and octonions, of dimension k=1, 2, 4 and 8, respectively--a systematic procedure gives a 3-cocycle on the Poincare superalgebra in dimensions k+2=3, 4, 6 and 10, and a 4-cocycle on the Poincare superalgebra in dimensions k+3=4, 5, 7 and 11. The existence of these cocycles follow from spinor identities that hold only in these dimensions, and which are closely related to the existence of the superstring in dimensions k+2, and the super-2-brane in dimensions k+3. In general, an (n+1)-cocycle on a Lie superalge…
The deformed quantum Calogero-Moser-Sutherland problems related to the root systems of the contragredient Lie superalgebras are introduced. The construction is based on the notion of the generalized root systems suggested by V. Serganova. For the classical series a recurrent formula for the quantum integrals is found, which implies the integrability of these problems. The corresponding algebras of the quantum integrals are investigated, the explicit formulas for their Poincare series for generic values of the deformation parameter are presented.
The purpose of this paper is to generalize Zhu's theorem about characters of modules over a vertex operator algebra graded by integer conformal weights, to the setting of a vertex operator superalgebra graded by rational conformal weights. To recover SL_2(Z)-invariance of the characters it turns out to be necessary to consider twisted modules alongside ordinary ones. It also turns out to be necessary, in describing the space of conformal blocks in the supersymmetric case, to include certain `odd traces' on modules alongside traces and supertraces. We prove that the set of supertrace functions,…
We derive a general formulation for thermal Lie superalgebras motivated by thermofield dynamics formalism (TFD). Particularly, we construct the thermal Poincaré superalgebras. The operators in TFD are defined through the doubling of the degrees of freedom of the system and it can be related to Hopf algebras. In this way we explore the notion of quantum group associated with these superalgebras and we show the non-commutativity in this thermal scenario. Furthermore, the thermal M-superalgebra is also derived from TFD prescription.
F-Lie algebras are natural generalisations of Lie algebras (F=1) and Lie superalgebras (F=2). We give finite dimensional examples of F-Lie algebras obtained by an inductive process from Lie algebras and Lie superalgebras. Matrix realizations of the $F-$Lie algebras constructed in this way from osp(2|m) are given. We obtain a non-trivial extension of the Poincaré algebra by an Inönü-Wigner contraction of a certain $F-$Lie algebras with $F>2$.
We provide the classification of real forms of complex D=4 Euclidean algebra $\mathcalε(4; \mathbb{C}) = \mathfrak{o}(4;\mathbb{C})) \ltimes \mathbf{T}_{\mathbb{C}}^4$ as well as (pseudo)real forms of complex D=4 Euclidean superalgebras $\mathcalε(4|N; \mathbb{C})$ for N=1,2. Further we present our results: N=1 and N=2 supersymmetric D=4 Poincare and Euclidean r-matrices obtained by using D= 4 Poincare r-matrices provided by Zakrzewski [1]. For N=2 we shall consider the general superalgebras with two central charges.
We show that the maximal extension sl(2) times psl(2|2) times C3 of the sl(2|2) superalgebra can be obtained as a contraction limit of the semi-simple superalgebra d(2,1;epsilon) times sl(2). We reproduce earlier results on the corresponding q-deformed Hopf algebra and its universal R-matrix by means of contraction. We make the curious observation that the above algebra is related to kappa-Poincaré symmetry. When dropping the graded part psl(2|2) we find a novel one-parameter deformation of the 3D kappa-Poincaré algebra. Our construction also provides a concise exact expression for its univers…
We introduce the notion of a non--linear Lie conformal superalgebra and prove a PBW theorem for its universal enveloping vertex algebra. We also show that conversely any graded freely generated vertex algebra is the universal enveloping algebra of a non--linear Lie conformal superalgebra. This correspondence will be applied in the subsequent work to the problem of classification of finitely generated simple graded vertex algebras.
