Using vertex operators, we construct explicitly Lusztig's $\mathbb Z[q, q^{-1}]$-lattice for the level one irreducible representations of quantum affine algebras of ADE type. We then realize the level one irreducible modules at roots of unity and show that the q-dimension is still given by the Weyl-Kac character formula. As a consequence we also answer the corresponding question of realizing the affine Kac-Moody Lie algebras of simply laced type at level one in finite characteristic.
For the Klein group $K$, $k\in\mathbb{Z}_{\geqslant 1}$ and $m\in\mathbb{Z}_{\geqslant 4}$, we study the representations of the orbifold vertex operator algebra $L_{\hat{\mathfrak{sl}_2}}(k,0)^{K}$ and the commutant vertex operator algebra of $L_{\hat{\mathfrak{so}_m}}(3,0)$ in $L_{\hat{\mathfrak{so}_m}}(1,0)^{\otimes 3}$ which can be realized as the orbifold vertex operator subalgebra $L_{\hat{\mathfrak{sl}_2}}(2m,0)^{K}$ or its extension. All the irreducible modules for $L_{\hat{\mathfrak{sl}_2}}(k,0)^{K}$ and $C_{{L_{\hat{\mathfrak{so}_m}}(1,0)}^{\otimes 3}}({L_{\hat{\mathfrak{so}_m}}(3,0)}…
We consider imaginary Verma modules for quantum affine algebra $U_q(\hat{\mathfrak{g}})$, where $\hat{\mathfrak{g}}$ is of type 1 i.e. of non-twisted type, and construct Kashiwara type operators and the Kashiwara algebra $\mathcal K_q$. We show that a certain quotient $\mathcal N_q^-$ of $U_q(\hat{\mathfrak{g}})$ is a simple $\mathcal K_q$-module.
In this paper we study an approximation of tensor product of irreducible integrable $\hat{\mathfrak{sl}_2}$ representations by infinite fusion products. This gives an approximation of the corresponding coset theories. As an application we represent characters of spaces of these theories as limits of certain restricted Kostka polynomials. This leads to the bosonic (which is known) and fermionic (which is new) formulas for the $\hat{\mathfrak{sl}_2}$ branching functions.
Using the fusion product of the representations of the Lie algebra $\mathfrak{sl}_2$ we construct a set of the integrable highest weight $\hat{\mathfrak{sl}_2}$-modules $L^D$, depending on the vector $D\in\mathbb{N}^{k+1}$. In a special cases of $D$ our modules are isomorphic to the irreducible $\hat{\mathfrak{sl}_2}$-modules $L_{i,k}$. We construct a basis of the $L^D$ and study the decomposition of $L^D$ on the irreducible components. We also write a formulas for the characters of $L^D$.
We compare the reduced Drinfeld doubles of the composition subalgebras of the category of representations of the Kronecker quiver $\overr{Q}$ and of the category of coherent sheaves on ${\mathbb P}^1$. Using this approach, we show that the Drinfeld--Beck isomorphism for the quantized enveloping algebra $U_v(\hat{\mathfrak{sl}}_2)$ is a corollary of an equivalence between the derived categories $D^b\bigl(\Rep(\overr{Q})\bigr)$ and $D^b\bigl(\Coh({\mathbb P}^1)\bigr)$. This technique also allows to reprove several technical results on the integral form of $U_v(\hat{\mathfrak{sl}}_2)$.
For a finite-dimensional simple Lie algebra $\mathfrak{g}$, we use the vertex tensor category theory of Huang and Lepowsky to identify the category of standard modules for the affine Lie algebra $\hat{\mathfrak{g}}$ at a fixed level $\ell\in\mathbb{N}$ with a certain tensor category of finite-dimensional $\mathfrak{g}$-modules. More precisely, the category of level $\ell$ standard $\hat{\mathfrak{g}}$-modules is the module category for the simple vertex operator algebra $L_{\hat{\mathfrak{g}}}(\ell,0)$, and as is well known, this category is equivalent as an abelian category to $\mathbf{D}(\ma…
We consider imaginary Verma modules for quantum affine algebra $U_q(\hat{\mathfrak{sl}(2)})$ and construct Kashiwara type operators and the Kashiwara algebra $\mathcal K_q$. We show that a certain quotient $\mathcal N_q^-$ of $U_q(\hat{\mathfrak{sl}(2)})$ is a simple $\mathcal K_q$-module.
We consider fundamental facts from the theory of Hopf superalgebras. We use them to construct the quantum double of the quantum superalgebra $sl(2|1)$ at roots of unity. Thus we obtain a multiplicative formula for universal $R$-matrix. Next we construct an $R$-matrix to investigate parametrized family of centralizer algebras. We give multiplication laws in particular case and describe a structure of such algebras in the general case.
Let ${\boldsymbol{\mathfrak D}_{\vartriangle}}(n)$ be the double Ringel--Hall algebra of the cyclic quiver $\triangle(n)$ and let $\dot{\boldsymbol{\mathfrak D}_{\vartriangle}}(n)$ be the modified quantum affine algebra of ${\boldsymbol{\mathfrak D}_{\vartriangle}}(n)$. We will construct an integral form $\dot{{\mathfrak D}_{\vartriangle}}(n)$ for $\dot{\boldsymbol{\mathfrak D}_{\vartriangle}}(n)$ such that the natural algebra homomorphism from $\dot{{\mathfrak D}_{\vartriangle}}(n)$ to the integral affine quantum Schur algebra is surjective. Furthermore, we will use Hall algebras to construct…
We give a diagrammatic presentation of the category of $\textbf{U}_q(\mathfrak{sl}_2)$-tilting modules $\mathfrak{T}$ for $q$ being a root of unity and introduce a grading on $\mathfrak{T}$. This grading is a "root of unity phenomenon" and might lead to new insights about link and $3$-manifold invariants deduced from $\mathfrak{T}$. We also give a diagrammatic category for the (graded) projective endofunctors on $\mathfrak{T}$, indicate how our results could generalize and collect some "well-known" facts to give a reasonably self-contained exposition.
The structure of the tensor product representation v_{λ_1}(x)\otimes V_{λ_2}(y) of U_q(\hat sl_2) is investigated at roots of unity. A polynomial identity is derived as an outcome. Also, new bases of v_{λ_1}(x)\otimes V_{λ_2}(y) are established under certain conditions.
We decompose the $\hat{\mathfrak{sl}}(n)$-module $V(Λ_0) \otimes V(Λ_0)$ and give generating function identities for the outer multiplicities. In the process we discover some seemingly new partition identities in the cases $n=2,3$.
For a semisimple Lie algebra $\mathfrak{g}$ of rank $n$, let $\overline{U}_ζ(\mathfrak{g})$ be the restricted quantum group of $\mathfrak{g}$ at a primitive fourth root of unity. This quantum group admits a natural Borel-induced representation $V({\boldsymbol{t}})$, with ${\boldsymbol{t}}\in(\mathbb{C}^\times)^n$ determined by a character on the Cartan subalgebra. Ohtsuki showed that for $\mathfrak{g}=\mathfrak{sl}_2$, the braid group representation determined by tensor powers of $V({\boldsymbol{t}})$ is the exterior algebra of the Burau representation. In this paper, we generalize the tensor …
We give shuffle algebra realization of positive part of quantum affine superalgebra $U_{v}(\widehat{\mathfrak{D}}(2,1;θ))$ associated to any simple root systems. We also determine the shuffle algebra associated to $\widehat{\mathfrak{sl}}(2|1)$ with odd root system when $v$ is a primitive root of unity of even order, generalizing results in \cite{FJMMT03}.
We show how to define invariants of graphs related to quantum $\mathfrak{sl}(2)$ when the graph has more then one connected component and components are colored by blocks of representations with zero quantum dimensions.
In this article we construct link invariants and 3-manifold invariants from the quantum group associated with Lie superalgebra $\mathfrak{sl}(2|1)$. This construction based on nilpotent irreducible finite dimensional representations of quantum group $\mathcal{U}_ξ\mathfrak{sl}(2|1)$ where $ξ$ is a root of unity of odd order. These constructions use the notion of modified trace and relative $\mathit{G}$-modular category.
For each $n\geqslant3$, we construct an uncountable family of models of the crystal of the basic $U_q(\hat{\mathfrak{sl}}_n)$-module. These models are all based on partitions, and include the usual $n$-regular and $n$-restricted models, as well as Berg's ladder crystal, as special cases.
In this paper, for an arbitrary Kac-Moody Lie algebra $\mathfrak g$ and a diagram automorphism $μ$ of $\mathfrak g$ satisfying certain natural linking conditions, we introduce and study a $μ$-twisted quantum affinization algebra $\mathcal U_\hbar\left(\hat{\mathfrak g}_μ\right)$ of $\mathfrak g$. When $\mathfrak g$ is of finite type, $\mathcal U_\hbar\left(\hat{\mathfrak g}_μ\right)$ is Drinfeld's current algebra realization of the twisted quantum affine algebra. When $μ=\mathrm{id}$ and $\mathfrak g$ in affine type, $\mathcal U_\hbar\left(\hat{\mathfrak g}_μ\right)$ is the quantum toroidal al…
We study graded nonlocal $\underline{\mathsf{q}}$-vertex algebras and we prove that they can be generated by certain sets of vertex operators. As an application, we consider the family of graded nonlocal $\underline{\mathsf{q}}$-vertex algebras $V_{c,1}$, $c\geq 1$, associated with the principal subspaces $W(cΛ_0)$ of the integrable highest weight $U_q (\hat{\mathfrak{sl}}_2)$-modules $L(cΛ_0)$. Using quantum integrability, we derive combinatorial bases for $V_{c,1}$ and compute the corresponding character formulae.
The Witt group of nondegenerate braided fusion categories $\mathcal{W}$ contains a subgroup $\mathcal{W}_\text{un}$ consisting of Witt equivalence classes of pseudo-unitary nondegenerate braided fusion categories. For each finite-dimensional simple Lie algebra $\mathfrak{g}$ and positive integer $k$ there exists a pseudo-unitary category $\mathcal{C}(\mathfrak{g},k)$ consisting of highest weight integerable $\hat{g}$-modules of level $k$ where $\hat{\mathfrak{g}}$ is the corresponding affine Lie algebra. Relations between the classes $[\mathcal{C}(\mathfrak{sl}_2,k)]$, $k\geq1$ have been compl…
As a homomorphic image of the hyperalgebra $U_{q,R}(m|n)$ associated with the quantum linear supergroup $U_\upsilon(\mathfrak{gl}_{m|n})$, we first give a presentation for the $q$-Schur superalgebra $S_{q,R}(m|n,r)$ over a commutative ring $R$. We then develop a criterion for polynomial supermodules of $U_{q,F}(m|n)$ over a filed $F$ and use this to determine a classification of polynomial irreducible supermodules at roots of unity. This also gives classifications of irreducible $S_{q,F}(m|n,r)$-supermodules for all $r$. As an application when $m=n\geq r$ and motivated by the beautiful work \c…
Let $\hat{\mathfrak{g}}$ be an untwisted affine Kac-Moody algebra, with its Sklyanin-Drinfel'd structure of Lie bialgebra, and let $\hat{\mathfrak{h}}$ be the dual Lie bialgebra. By dualizing the quantum double construction - via formal Hopf algebras - we construct a new quantum group $U_q(\hat{\mathfrak{h}})$, dual of $U_q(\hat{\mathfrak{g}})$. Studying its restricted and unrestricted integer forms and their specializations at roots of 1 (in particular, their classical limits), we prove that $U_q(\hat{\mathfrak{h}})$ yields quantizations of $\hat{\mathfrak{h}}$ and $\hat{G}^\infty$ (the forma…
Let $U_\varepsilon({\mathfrak g})$ be the standard simply connected version of the Drinfeld-Jumbo quantum group at an odd primitive m-th root of unity $\varepsilon$. The center of $U_\varepsilon({\mathfrak g})$ contains a huge commutative subalgebra isomorphic to the algebra $Z_G$ of regular functions on (a finite covering of a big cell in) a complex connected, simply connected algebraic group $G$ with Lie algebra $\mathfrak g$. Let $V$ be a finite-dimensional representation of $U_\varepsilon({\mathfrak g})$ on which $Z_G$ acts according to a non-trivial character $η_g$ given by evaluation of …
We compute an universal weight function (off-shell Bethe vectors) in any representation with a weight singular vector of the quantum affine algebra $U_q(\hat{\mathfrak{gl}}_N)$ applying the method of projections of Drinfeld currents developed in arXiv:math/0610398.
We continue investigation of the universal weight function for the quantum affine algebra $U_q(\hat{\mathfrak{gl}}_N)$ started in arXiv:math/0610517 and arXiv:0711.2819. We obtain two recurrence relations for the universal weight function applying the method of projections developed in arXiv:math/0610398. On the level of the evaluation representation of $U_q(\hat{\mathfrak{gl}}_N)$ we reproduce both recurrence relations for the off-shell Bethe vectors calculated in arXiv:math/0702277 using combinatorial methods.
Notes on a homomorphism from the affine Yangian associated with $\hat{\mathfrak{sl}}(n)$ to the affine Yangian associated with $\widehat{\mathfrak{sl}}(n+1)$
We show that the action of universal $R$-matrix of affine $U_qsl_2$ quantum algebra, when $q$ is a root of unity, can be renormalized by some scalar factor to give a well defined nonsingular expression, satisfying Yang-Baxter equation. It reduced to intertwining operators of all representations, corresponding to Chiral Potts, if the parameters of these representations lie on well known algebraic curve. We also show that affine $U_qsl_2$ for $q$ is a root of unity form the autoquasitriangular Hopf algebra in the sence of Reshetikhin.
We give a simple description of the natural bijection between the set of FLOTW bipartitions and the set of Uglov bipartitions (which generalizes the set of Kleshchev bipartitions). These bipartitions, which label the crystal graphs of irreducible $\mathcal{U}\_v({\hat{\mathfrak{sl}}\_e})$-modules of level two, naturally appear in the context of the modular representation theory of Hecke algebras of type $B\_n$.
We consider two complexes. The first complex is the twisted de Rham complex of scalar meromorphic differential forms on projective line, holomorphic on the complement to a finite set of points. The second complex is the chain complex of the Lie algebra of $\mathfrak{sl}_2$-valued algebraic functions on the same complement, with coefficients in a tensor product of contragradient Verma modules over the affine Lie algebra $\hat{{\mathfrak{sl}_2}}$. In [Schechtman V., Varchenko A., Mosc. Math. J. 17 (2017), 787-802] a construction of a monomorphism of the first complex to the second was suggested …
The category of finite dimensional (type 1) representations of a quantum affine algebra $U_q(\hat{\mathfrak g})$ is not semisimple. However, as any abelian category with finite-length objects, it admits a unique decomposition into a direct sum of indecomposable subcategorie (blocks). We define the elliptic central character of a finite dimensional (type 1) representation of $U_q(\hat{\mathfrak g})$. Then we show that the block decomposition of this category is paramentrized by these elliptic central characters.
Let $U_ε(\mathfrak g)$ be the simply connected quantized enveloping algebra associated to a finite-dimensional complex simple Lie algebra $\mathfrak g$ at the roots of unity. The De Concini-Kac-Procesi conjecture on the dimension of the irreducible representations of $U_ε(\mathfrak g)$ is proved for representations corresponding to the spherical conjugacy classes of the simply connected algebraic group $G$ with Lie algebra $\mathfrak g$. We achieve this result by means of a new characterization of the spherical conjugacy classes of $G$ in terms of elements of the Weyl group.
It is known that the category $\mathscr{C}^H$ of nilpotent weight modules over the quantum group associated with the super Lie algebra $\mathfrak{sl}(2|1)$ is a relative pre-modular $G$-category. Its modified trace enables to define an invariant of $3$-manifolds. In this article we show that the category $\mathscr{C}^H$ is a relative modular $G$-category which allows one to construct a family of non-semi-simple extended topological quantum field theories which surprisingly are anomaly free. The quantum group associated with $\mathfrak{sl}(2|1)$ is considered at odd roots of unity.
Let $S$ be the spinor representation of $U_q\mathfrak{so}_N$, for $N$ odd and $q^2$ not a rooot of unity. We show that the commutant of its action on $S^{\otimes n}$ is given by a representation of the nonstandard quantum group $U'_{-q^2}\mathfrak{so}_n$. For $N$ even, an analogous statement also holds for $S=S_+\oplus S_-$ the direct sum of the irreducible spinor representations of $U'_q\mathfrak{so}_N$, with the commutant given by $U'_{-q}\mathfrak{o}_n$, a $\mathbb{Z}/2$-extension of $U'_{-q}\mathfrak{so}_n$. Similar statements also hold for fusion tensor categories with $q$ a root of unity…
We consider the quantum algebra $U_q(\mathfrak{sl}_2)$ with $q$ not a root of unity. We describe the finite-dimensional irreducible $U_q(\mathfrak{sl}_2)$-modules from the point of view of the equitable presentation.
We find sufficient conditions for the construction of vertex algebraic intertwining operators, among generalized Verma modules for an affine Lie algebra $\hat{\mathfrak{g}}$, from $\mathfrak{g}$-module homomorphisms. When $\mathfrak{g}=\mathfrak{sl}_2$, these results extend previous joint work with J. Yang, but the method used here is different. Here, we construct intertwining operators by solving Knizhnik-Zamolodchikov equations for three-point correlation functions associated to $\hat{\mathfrak{g}}$, and we identify obstructions to the construction arising from the possible non-existence of …
We give a geometric interpretation of the inner product on the modified quantum group of $\hat{\mathfrak{sl}}_n$. We also give some applications of this interpretation, including a positivity result for the inner product, and a new geometric construction of the canonical basis.
For each finite dimensional, simple, complex Lie algebra $\mathfrak g$ and each root of unity $ξ$ (with some mild restriction on the order) one can define the Witten-Reshetikhin-Turaev (WRT) quantum invariant $τ_M^{\mathfrak g}(ξ)\in \mathbb C$ of oriented 3-manifolds $M$. In the present paper we construct an invariant $J_M$ of integral homology spheres $M$ with values in the cyclotomic completion $\widehat {\mathbb Z [q]}$ of the polynomial ring $\mathbb Z [q]$, such that the evaluation of $J_M$ at each root of unity gives the WRT quantum invariant of $M$ at that root of unity. This result ge…
We define a family of the braid group representations via the action of the $R$-matrix (of the quasitriangular extension) of the restricted quantum $\mathfrak{sl}(2)$ on a tensor power of a simple projective module. This family is an extension of the Lawrence representation specialized at roots of unity. Although the center of the braid group has finite order on the specialized Laurence representations, this action is faithful for our extension.
The equitable presentation of $U_q(\mathfrak{sl}_2)$ was introduced in 2006 by Ito, Terwilliger, and Weng. This presentation involves some generators $x, y, y^{-1}, z$. It is known that $\{x^r y^s z^t : r, t \in \mathbb{N}, s \in \mathbb{Z}\}$ is a basis for the $\mathbb{K}$-vector space $U_q(\mathfrak{sl}_2)$. In 2013, Bockting-Conrad and Terwilliger introduced a subalgebra $\mathcal{A}$ of $U_q(\mathfrak{sl}_2)$ spanned by the elements $\{x^r y^s z^t : r, s, t \in \mathbb{N}, r+s+t \ {\rm even}\}$. We give a presentation of $\mathcal{A}$ by generators and relations. We also classify up to is…
In this paper, it is shown that the diagonal coset vertex operator algebra $C(L_{\mathfrak{g}}(k+2,0),L_{\mathfrak{g}}(k,0)\otimes L_{\mathfrak{g}}(2,0))$ is rational and $C_2$-cofinite in case $\mathfrak{g}=so(2n), n\geq 3$ and $k$ is an admissible number for $\hat{\mathfrak{g}}$. It is also shown that the diagonal coset vertex operator algebra $C(L_{sl_2}(k+4,0),L_{sl_2}(k,0)\otimes L_{sl_2}(4,0))$ is rational and $C_2$-cofinite in case $k$ is an admissible number for $\hat{sl_2}$. Furthermore, irreducible modules of $C(L_{sl_2}(k+4,0),L_{sl_2}(k,0)\otimes L_{sl_2}(4,0))$ are classified in c…
Kashina, Montgomery and Ng introduced the $n$-th indicator $ν_n(H)$ of a finite-dimensional Hopf algebra $H$ and showed that the indicators have some interesting properties such as the gauge invariance. The aim of this paper is to investigate the properties of $ν_n$'s. In particular, we obtain the cyclotomic integrality of $ν_n$ and a formula for $ν_n$ of the Drinfeld double. Our results are applied to the finite-dimensional pointed Hopf algebra $u(\mathcal{D}, λ, μ)$ introduced by Andruskiewitsch and Schneider. As an application, we obtain the second indicator of $u_q(\mathfrak{sl}_2)$ and sh…
We develop an elementary algebraic method to compute the center of the principal block of a small quantum group associated with a complex semisimple Lie algebra at a root of unity. The exemplary case of $\mathfrak{sl}_3$ is computed explicitly, and further evidence of $\mathfrak{sl}_4$ is sketched. This allows us to formulate the conjecture that, as a bigraded vector space, the center of a regular block of the small quantum $\mathfrak{sl}_m$ at a root of unity is isomorphic to Haiman's diagonal coinvariant algebra for the symmetric group $S_{m}$.
We determine the center of a localization of ${\mathcal U}_q({\mathfrak n}_ω)\subseteq {\mathcal U}^+_q({\mathfrak g})$ by the covariant elements (non-mutable elements) by means of constructions and results from quantum cluster algebras. In our set-up, ${\mathfrak g}$ is any finite-dimensional complex Lie algebra and $ω$ is any element in the Weyl group $W$. The non-zero complex parameter $q$ is mostly assumed not to be a root of unity, but our method also gives many details in case $q$ is a primitive root of unity. We point to a new and very useful direction of approach to a general set of pr…
