In this paper we employ the construction of Dirac bracket for the remaining current of $sl(2)_q$ deformed Kac-Moody algebra when constraints similar to those connecting the $sl(2)$-WZW model and the Liouville theory are imposed and show that it satisfy the q-Virasoro algebra proposed by Frenkel and Reshetikhin. The crucial assumption considered in our calculation is the existence of a classical Poisson bracket algebra induced, in a consistent manner by the correspondence principle, mapping the quantum generators into commuting objects of classical nature preserving their algebra.
An analog of the minimal unitary series representations for the deformed Virasoro algebra is constructed using vertex operators of the quantum affine algebra $U_q(\hat{sl}_2)$. A similar construction is proposed for the elliptic algebra $A_{q,p}(\hat{sl}_2)$.
In this lecture we discuss `beyond CFT' from symmetry point of view. After reviewing the Virasoro algebra, we introduce deformed Virasoro algebras and elliptic algebras. These algebras appear in solvable lattice models and we study them by free field approach.
We study an analog of the AGT relation in five dimensions. We conjecture that the instanton partition function of 5D N=1 pure SU(2) gauge theory coincides with the inner product of the Gaiotto-like state in the deformed Virasoro algebra. In four dimensional case, a relation between the Gaiotto construction and the theory of Braverman and Etingof is also discussed.
The work is devoted to a probably new connection between deformed Virasoro algebra and quantum $\widehat{\mathfrak{sl}}_2$. We give an explicit realization of Virasoro current via vertex operators of level 1 integrable representation of $\widehat{\mathfrak{sl}}_2$. The same is done for a twisted version of deformed Virasoro algebra.
We give a proof of the recursive formula on the norm of Whittaker vector of the deformed Virasoro algebra, which is an analog of the one for the Virasoro Lie algebra proposed by Al. Zamolodchikov. Our formula gives a proof of the pure SU(2) 5d AGT relation proposed by Awata and Yamada. We also give a summary of the structures of the deformed Virasoro algebra and the fundamental properties of the Verma module.
We revisit the construction of deformed Virasoro algebras from elliptic quantum algebras of vertex type, generalizing the bilinear trace procedure proposed in the 90's. It allows us to make contact with the vertex operator techniques that were introduced separately at the same period. As a by-product, the method pinpoints two critical values of the central charge for which the center of the algebra is extended, as well as (in the $gl(2)$ case) a Liouville formula.
As the Yangian double with center, which is deformed from affine algebra by the additive loop parameter $\hbar$ ,we get the commuting relation and the bosonization of quantum $\hbar$-deformed Virasoro algebra. The corresponding Miura transformation, associated screening operators and the BRST charge have been studied. Moreover, we also constructe the bosonization for type I and type II intertwiner vertex operators. Finally, we show that the commuting relation of these vertex operators in the case of $p'=r p=r-1$ and $\hbar =π$ actually gives the exact scattering matrix of the Restricted sine-Go…
We give a proof of Awata and Yamada's conjecture for the explicit formula of Whittaker vector of the deformed Virasoro algebra realized in the Fock space. The formula is expressed as a summation over Macdonald symmetric functions with factored coefficients. In the proof we fully use currents appearing in the Fock representation of Ding-Iohara-Miki quantum algebra. We also mention an interpretation of Whittaker vector in terms of the geometry of the Hilbert schemes of points on the affine plane.
We discuss some aspects of the representation theory of the deformed Virasoro algebra $\virpq$. In particular, we give a proof of the formula for the Kac determinant and then determine the center of $\virpq$ for $q$ a primitive N-th root of unity. We derive explicit expressions for the generators of the center in the limit $t=qp^{-1}\to \infty$ and elucidate the connection to the Hall-Littlewood symmetric functions. Furthermore, we argue that for $q=\sqrtN{1}$ the algebra describes `Gentile statistics' of order $N-1$, i.e., a situation in which at most $N-1$ particles can occupy the same state…
From the defining exchange relations of the A_{q,p}(gl_{N}) elliptic quantum algebra, we construct subalgebras which can be characterized as q-deformed W_N algebras. The consistency conditions relating the parameters p,q,N and the central charge c are shown to be related to the singularity structure of the functional coefficients defining the exchange relations of specific vertex operators representations of A_{q,p}({gl_{N}) available when N=2.
In this paper, we propose an elliptic algebra $A_{q,p;\hatπ}(\hat{gl_2})$ which is based on the relations $RLL=LLR^{*}$, where $R$ and $R^{*}$ are the dynamical R-maxtrices of $A^{(1)}_{1}$ type face model with the elliptic moduli shifted by the center of the algebra. From the Ding-Frenkel correspondence, we find that its corresponding (Drinfeld) current algebra at level one is the algebra of screening currents for q-deformed Virasoro algebra. We realize the elliptic algebra at level one by Miki's construction from the bosonization for the type I and type II vertex operators. We also show that t…
We study the fused currents of the deformed Virasoro algebra (DVA). By constructing a homotopy operator we show that for special values of the parameter of the algebra fused currents pairwise coincide on the cohomologies of the Felder resolution. Within the algebraic approach to lattice models these currents are known to describe neutral excitations of the solid-on-solid (SOS) models in the transfer-matrix picture. It allows us to prove the closeness of the system of excitations for a special nonunitary series of restricted SOS (RSOS) models. Though the results of the algebraic approach to lat…
Primary fields of the $q$-deformed Virasoro algebra are constructed. Commutation relations among the primary fields are studied. Adjoint actions of the deformed Virasoro current on the primary fields are represented by the shift operator $Θ_ξ f(x)=f(ξx)$. Four point functions of the primary fields enjoy the connection formula associated with the Boltzmann weights of the fusion Andrews-Baxter-Forrester model.
We define the q-deformed Gelfand-Dickey bracket on the space of q-pseudodifference symbols which agrees with the Poisson Virasoro algebra of E.Frenkel and N.Reshetikhin and its generalizations and prove its uniqueness (in a natural class of quadratic Poisson structures). The associated hierarchies of nonlinear q-difference equations are also constructed.
An hbar-deformed Virasoro Poisson algebra is obtained using the Wakimoto realization of the Sugawara operator for the Yangian double DY_\hbar(sl_2)_c at the critical level c=-2.
The purpose of this paper is to study Virasoro extensions of the q-deformed Witt Hom-Lie superalgebra. Moreover, we provide the cohomology and deformations of the Ramond Hom-superalgebra and special Ramond Hom-superalgebra.
Whenever the group $\R^n$ acts on an algebra $\calA$, there is a method to twist $\cal A$ to a new algebra $\calA_θ$ which depends on an antisymmetric matrix $θ$ ($θ^{μν}=-θ^{νμ}=\mathrm{constant}$). The Groenewold-Moyal plane $\calA_θ(\R^{d+1})$ is an example of such a twisted algebra. We give a general construction to realise this twist in terms of $\calA$ itself and certain ``charge'' operators $Q_μ$. For $\calA_θ(\R^{d+1})$, $Q_μ$ are translation generators. This construction is then applied to twist the oscillators realising the Kac-Moody (KM) algebra as well as the KM currents. They give…
We describe a new algebraic structure of "deformed chiral algebra" motivated by the study of the deformed W-algebras. We use it to gain some insights into the deformed Virasoro algebra.
We study the root of unity limit of $(\textbf{q}, \textbf{t})$-deformed Virasoro matrix models, for which we call the resulting model Uglov matrix model. We derive the associated Virasoro constraints on the partition function and find agreement of the central charge with the expression obtained from the level-rank duality associated with the parafermion CFT.
A quantum deformation of the Virasoro algebra is defined. The Kac determinants at arbitrary levels are conjectured. We construct a bosonic realization of the quantum deformed Virasoro algebra. Singular vectors are expressed by the Macdonald symmetric functions. This is proved by constructing screening currents acting on the bosonic Fock space.
Three examples of free field constructions for the vertex operators of the elliptic quantum group ${\cal A}_{q,p}(\hat{sl}_2)$ are obtained. Two of these (for $p^{1/2}=\pm q^{3/2},p^{1/2}=-q^2$) are based on representation theories of the deformed Virasoro algebra, which correspond to the level 4 and level 2 $Z$-algebra of Lepowsky and Wilson. The third one ($p^{1/2}=q^{3}$) is constructed over a tensor product of a bosonic and a fermionic Fock spaces. The algebraic structure at $p^{1/2}=q^{3}$, however, is not related to the deformed Virasoro algebra. Using these free field constructions, an …
In this paper we q-deform a construction of Kazhdan and Kostant from 1970's which produces quantum Toda Hamiltonians by considering the action of Casimirs of a simple Lie algebra on Whittaker functions on the corresponding Lie group. We also give the affine analog of this generalization. This is done by extending the notion of a Whittaker function to quantum groups and quantum affine algebras. We compute the q-deformed Toda Hamiltonians for Lie algebras of type A and show that they coincide with those known in the theory of integrable systems.
We define deformations of W-algebras associated to complex semi-simple Lie algebras by means of quantum Drinfeld-Sokolov reduction procedure for affine quantum groups. We also introduce Wakimoto modules for arbitrary affine quantum groups and construct free field resolutions and screening operators for the deformed W-algebras. We compare our results with earlier definitions of q-W-algebras and of the deformed screening operators due to Awata, Kubo, Odake, Shiraishi (q-alg/9507034, q-alg/9508011, q-alg/9612001), Feigin, E. Frenkel (q-alg/9508009) and E. Frenkel, Reshetikhin (q-alg/9708006). The…
The dynamical algebra of the q-deformed harmonic oscillator is constructed. As a result, we find the free deformed Hamiltonian as well as the Hamiltonian of the deformed oscillator as a complicated, momentum dependent interaction Hamiltonian in terms of the usual canonical variables. Furthermore we construct a well-defined algebra SU$_q$(1,1) with consistent conjugation properties and comultiplication. We obtain non lowest weight representations of this algebra.
Basically (2 + 1) dimensional Dirac equation with real deformed Lorentz scalar potential is investi gated in this study. The position dependent Fermi velocity function transforms Dirac Hamiltonian into a Klein-Gordon-like effective Hamiltonian system. The complex Hamiltonian and its real energy spectrum and eigenvectors are obtained analytically. Moreover, the Lie algebraic analysis is performed.
In this article we develop an approach to deformations of the Witt and Virasoro algebras based on $σ$-derivations. We show that $σ$-twisted Jacobi type identity holds for generators of such deformations. For the $σ$-twisted generalization of Lie algebras modeled by this construction, we develop a theory of central extensions. We show that our approach can be used to construct new deformations of Lie algebras and their central extensions, which in particular include naturally the $q$-deformations of the Witt and Virasoro algebras associated to $q$-difference operators, providing also correspond…
The unified $ (p,q; α,γ, l)$-deformation of a number of well-known deformed oscillator algebras is introduced. The deformation is constructed by imputing new free parameters into the structure functions and by generalizing the defining relations of these algebras. The generalized Jordan-Schwinger and Holstein-Primakoff realizations of the $U_{pq}^{αγl}(su(2))$ algebra by the generalized $ (p,q; α,γ, l)$-deformed operators are found. The generalized $ (p,q; α,γ, l)$-deformation of the two-dimensional conformal field theory is established. By introducing the $ (p,q; α,γ, l)$-operator product expa…
Known shape-invariant potentials for the constant-mass Schrodinger equation are taken as effective potentials in a position-dependent effective mass (PDEM) one. The corresponding shape-invariance condition turns out to be deformed. Its solvability imposes the form of both the deformed superpotential and the PDEM. A lot of new exactly solvable potentials associated with a PDEM background are generated in this way. A novel and important condition restricting the existence of bound states whenever the PDEM vanishes at an end point of the interval is identified. In some cases, the bound-state spec…
We examine the two parameter deformed superalgebra $U_{qs}(sl(1|2))$ and use the results in the construction of quantum chain Hamiltonians. This study is done both in the framework of the Serre presentation and in the $R$-matrix scheme of Faddeev, Reshetikhin and Takhtajan (FRT). We show that there exists an infinite number of Casimir operators, indexed by integers $p > 1$ in the undeformed case and by $p \in Z$ in the deformed case, which obey quadratic relations. The construction of the dual superalgebra of functions on $SL_{qs}(1|2)$ is also given and higher tensor product representations a…
The Richardson-Gaudin model describes strong pairing correlations of fermions confined to a finite chain. The integrability of the Hamiltonian allows for its eigenstates to be constructed algebraically. In this work we show that quantum group theory provides a possibility to deform the Hamiltonian while preserving integrability. More precisely, we use the so-called Jordanian r-matrix to deform the Hamiltonian of the Richardson-Gaudin model. In order to preserve its integrability, we need to insert a special nilpotent term into the auxiliary L-operator which generates integrals of motion of the…
