In this paper, we study the existence and uniqueness of solutions for several classes of stochastic evolution equations with non-Lipschitz coefficients, that is, backward stochastic evolution equations, stochastic Volterra type evolution equations and stochastic functional evolution equations. In particular, the results can be used to treat a large class of quasi-linear stochastic equations, which includes the reaction diffusion and porous medium equations.
We present several results on the smoothness in $L_{p}$ sense of filtering densities under the Lipschitz continuity assumption on the coefficients of a partially observable diffusion processes. We obtain them by rewriting in divergence form filtering equation which are usually considered in terms of formally adjoint to operators in nondivergence form.
In this paper, we consider a scalar stochastic balance law and gain the existence for stochastic entropy solutions. Our proof relies on the BGK approximation and the generalized Itô formula. Moreover, as an application, we derive the existence of stochastic entropy solutions for stochastic Buckley-Leverett type equations.
In this work we study the long time behavior of nonlinear stochastic functional-differential equations of neutral type in Hilbert spaces with non-Lipschitz nonlinearities. We establish the existence of invariant measures in the shift spaces for such equations. Our approach is based on Krylov-Bogoliubov theorem on the tightness of the family of measures.
We consider general stochastic systems of interacting particles with noise which are relevant as models for the collective behavior of animals, and rigorously prove that in the mean-field limit the system is close to the solution of a kinetic PDE. Our aim is to include models widely studied in the literature such as the Cucker-Smale model, adding noise to the behavior of individuals. The difficulty, as compared to the classical case of globally Lipschitz potentials, is that in several models the interaction potential between particles is only locally Lipschitz, the local Lipschitz constant gro…
We study McKean-Vlasov equations where the coefficients are locally Lipschitz continuous. We prove the strong well-posedness and a propagation of chaos property in this framework. These questions can be treated with classical arguments under the assumptions that the coefficients are globally Lipschitz continuous. In the locally Lipschitz case, we use truncation arguments and Osgood's lemma instead of Grönwall's lemma. This approach entails technical difficulties in the proofs, in particular for the existence of solution of the McKean-Vlasov equations that are considered. This proof relies on a…
We prove an existence and uniqueness result for generalized backward doubly stochastic differential equations driven by Lévy processes with non-Lipschitz assumptions.
In this paper, we deal with a class of one-dimensional reflected backward stochastic differential equations with stochastic Lipschitz coefficient. We derive the existence and uniqueness of the solutions for those equations via Snell envelope and the fixed point theorem.
We study a class of stochastic differential equations with non-Lipschitzian coefficients.A unique strong solution is obtained and a large deviation principle of Freidln-Wentzell type has been established.
This paper is concerned with strong convergence and almost sure convergence for neutral stochastic differential delay equations under non-globally Lipschitz continuous coefficients. Convergence rates of $θ$-EM schemes are given for these equations driven by Brownian motion and pure jumps respectively, where the drift terms satisfy locally one-sided Lipschitz conditions, and diffusion coefficients obey locally Lipschitz conditions, and the corresponding coefficients are highly nonlinear with respect to the delay terms.
By using coupling arguments, Harnack type inequalities are established for a class of stochastic (functional) differential equations with multiplicative noises and non-Lipschitzian coefficients. To construct the required couplings, two results on existence and uniqueness of solutions on an open domain are presented.
In this paper, the existence and pathwise uniqueness of strong solutions for jump-type stochastic differential equations are investigated under non-Lipschitz conditions. A sufficient condition is obtained for ensuring the non-confluent property of strong solutions of jump-type stochastic differential equations. Moreover, some examples are given to illustrate our results.
In this paper, we study the existence and uniqueness of solutions to stochastic differential equations driven by G-Brownian motion (GSDEs) with integral-Lipschitz conditions on their coefficients.
In this paper, we show the strong well-posedness of Mckean-Vlasov SDEs with non-Lipschitz coefficients. Moreover, propagation of chaos and the convergence rate for Euler's scheme of Mckean-Vlasov SDEs are also obtained.
We prove the existence of density for the solution to the multiplicative semilinear stochastic heat equation on an unbounded spatial domain, with drift term satisfying a half-Lipschitz type condition. The methodology is based on a careful analysis of differentiability for a map defined on weighted functional spaces.
We develop a higher regularity theory for general quasilinear elliptic equations and systems in divergence form with random coefficients. The main result is a large-scale $L^\infty$-type estimate for the gradient of a solution. The estimate is proved with optimal stochastic integrability under a one-parameter family of mixing assumptions, allowing for very weak mixing with non-integrable correlations to very strong mixing (e.g., finite range of dependence). We also prove a quenched $L^2$ estimate for the error in homogenization of Dirichlet problems. The approach is based on subadditive argume…
In this paper we study a type of stochastic McKean-Vlasov equations with non-Lipschitz coefficients. Firstly, by an Euler-Maruyama approximation existence of its weak solutions is proved. And then we observe pathwise uniqueness of its weak solutions. Finally, it is shown that the Euler-Maruyama approximation has an optimal strong convergence rate.
We obtain sufficient condition for SDEs to evolve in the positive orthant. We use comparison theorem arguments to achieve this. As a result we prove the existence of a unique strong solution for a class of multidimensional degenerate SDEs with non-Lipschitz diffusion coefficients.
This paper proves the existence and uniqueness of a solution to doubly reflected backward stochastic differential equations where the coefficient is stochastic Lipschitz, by means of the penalization method.
This paper considers multidimensional jump type stochastic differential equations with super linear growth and non-Lipschitz coefficients. After establishing a sufficient condition for nonexplosion, this paper presents sufficient non-Lipschitz conditions for pathwise uniqueness. The non confluence property for solutions is investigated. Feller and strong Feller properties under non-Lipschitz conditions are investigated via the coupling method. Sufficient conditions for irreducibility and exponential ergodicity are derived. As applications, this paper also studies multidimensional stochastic di…
This paper is concerned with existence and uniqueness of M-solutions of backward stochastic Volterra integral equations (BSVIEs for short), which Lipschitz coefficients are allowed to be random, which generalize the results in [15]. Then a class of continuous time dynamic dynamic coherent risk measures is derived, allowing the riskless interest rate to be random, which is different from the case in [15].
In this paper, we are interested in solving multidimensional backward stochastic differential equations (BSDEs) with a new kind of non-Lipschitz coefficients. We establish an existence and uniqueness result of solutions in $L^p\ (p>1)$, which includes some known results as its particular cases.
Stochastic Volterra integral equations with jumps (SVIEs) have become very common and widely used in numerous branches of science, due to their connections with mathematical finance, biology, engineering and so on. In this paper, we apply the successive approximation method to investigate the existence and uniqueness of solutions to the SVIEs driven by Brownian motion and compensated Poisson random measure under non-Lipschitz condition.
For stochastic reaction-diffusion equations with Lévy noises and non-Lipschitz reaction terms, we prove that $W_1H$ transportation cost inequalities hold for their invariant probability measures and for their process-level laws on the path space with respect to the $L^1$-metric. The proofs are based on the Galerkin approximations.
We prove a Freidlin-Wentzell result for stochastic differential equations in infinite-dimensional Hilbert spaces perturbed by a cylindrical Wiener process. We do not assume the drift to be Lipschitz continuous, but only continuous with at most linear growth. Our result applies, in particular, to a large class of nonlinear fractional diffusion equations perturbed by a space-time white noise.
We consider the existence and pathwise uniqueness of the stochastic heat equation with a multiplicative colored noise term on IR^d for d greater or equal to 1. We focus on the case of non-Lipschitz noise coefficients and singular spatial noise correlations. In the course of the proof a new result on Hoelder continuity of the solutions near zero is established.
We present several results on smoothness in $L_{p}$ sense of filtering densities under the Lipschitz continuity assumption on the coefficients of a partially observable diffusion processes. We obtain them by rewriting in divergence form filtering equation which are usually considered in terms of formally adjoint to operators in nondivergence form.
This paper is devoted to the study of the differentiability of solutions to real-valued backward stochastic differential equations (BSDEs for short) with quadratic generators driven by a cylindrical Wiener process. The main novelty of this problem consists in the fact that the gradient equation of a quadratic BSDE has generators which satisfy stochastic Lipschitz conditions involving BMO martingales. We show some applications to the nonlinear Kolmogorov equations.
The strong convergence of Euler approximations of stochastic delay differential equations is proved under general conditions. The assumptions on drift and diffusion coefficients have been relaxed to include polynomial growth and only continuity in the arguments corresponding to delays. Furthermore, the rate of convergence is obtained under one-sided and polynomial Lipschitz conditions. Finally, our findings are demonstrated with the help of numerical simulations.
We prove the existence and uniqueness of the mild solution for a nonlinear stochastic heat equation defined on an unbounded spatial domain. The nonlinearity is not assumed to be globally, or even locally, Lipschitz continuous. Instead the nonlinearity is assumed to satisfy a one-sided Lipschitz condition. First, a strengthened version of the Kolmogorov continuity theorem is introduced to prove that the stochastic convolutions of the fundamental solution of the heat equation and a spatially homogeneous noise grow no faster than polynomially. Second, a deterministic mapping that maps the stochas…
In this paper we show irreducibility and the strong Feller property for transition probabilities of stochastic differential equations with jumps and monotone coefficients. Thus, exponential ergodicity and the spectral gap for the corresponding transition semigroups are obtained.
We introduce a new distance, a Lipschitz-Prokhorov distance $d_{LP}$, on the set $\mathcal {PM}$ of isomorphism classes of pairs $(X, P)$ where $X$ is a compact metric space and $P$ is the law of a continuous stochastic process on $X$. We show that $(\mathcal {PM}, d_{LP})$ is a complete metric space. For Markov processes on Riemannian manifolds, we study relative compactness and convergence.
Here we study stochastic differential equations with a reflecting boundary condition. We provide sufficient conditions for pathwise uniqueness and non-explosion property of solutions in a framework admitting non-Lipschitz continuous coefficients and non-smooth domains.
In this paper, a probabilistic interpretation for the viscosity solution of a parabolic partial differential equation is obtained by virtue of the solution of a class of quadratic backward stochastic differential equations (BSDEs, for short). Furthermore, we prove the convergence and the large deviation principle for the solution of this class of quadratic BSDEs, which is associated with a family of Markov processes with the diffusion coefficients that tend to be zero.
In this paper, we continue in solving reflected generalized backward stochastic differential equations (RGBSDE for short) and fixed terminal time with use some new technical aspects of the stochastic calculus related to the reflected generalized BSDE. Here, existence and uniqueness of solution is proved under a non-Lipschitz condition on the coefficients.
In this paper we consider the stability for a type of stochastic McKean-Vlasov equations with non-Lipschitz coefficients. First, sufficient conditions are given for the exponential stability of the second moments for their solutions in terms of a Lyapunov function. Then we weaken the conditions and furthermore obtain exponentially 2-ultimate boundedness of their solutions. After this, the almost surely asymptotic stability of their solutions is proved. Finally we give an example to motivate the choice of Lyapunov functions.
In the paper, we consider the no-explosion condition and pathwise uniqueness for SDEs driven by a Poisson random measure with coefficients that are super-linear and non-Lipschitz. We give a comparison theorem in the one-dimensional case under some additional condition. Moreover, we study the non-contact property and the continuity with respect to the space variable of the stochastic flow. As an application, we will show that there exists a unique strong solution for SDEs with coefficients like $x\log|x|$.
In this paper the existence of a smooth density is proved for the solution of an SDE, with locally Lipschitz coefficients and semi-monotone drift, under Hörmander condition. We prove the nondegeneracy condition for the solution of the SDE, from it an integration by parts formula would result in the Wiener space. To this end we construct a sequence of SDEs with globally Lipschitz coefficients whose solutions converge to the original one and use some Lyapunov functions to show the uniformly boundedness of the p-moments of the solutions and their Malliavin derivatives.
We provide necessary and sufficient first order geometric conditions for the stochastic invariance of a closed subset of R^d with respect to a jump-diffusion under weak regularity assumptions on the coefficients. Our main result extends the recent characterization proved in Abi Jaber, Bouchard and Illand (2016) to jump-diffusions. We also derive an equivalent formulation in the semimartingale framework.
In this paper, a solution is given to reflected backward doubly stochastic differential equations when the barrier is not necessarily right-continuous, and the noise is driven by two independent Brownian motions and an independent Poisson random measure. The existence and uniqueness of the solution is shown, firstly when the coefficients are stochastic Lipschitz, and secondly by weakening the conditions on the stochastic growth coefficient.
In this paper we establish the strong existence, pathwise uniqueness and a comparison theorem to a stochastic partial differential equation driven by Gaussian colored noise with non-Lipschitz drift, Hölder continuous diffusion coefficients and the spatial domain in finite interval, $[0,1]$, and with Dirichlet, Neumann or mixed nonhomogeneous random conditions imposed on the endpoints. The Hölder continuity of the solution both in time and in space variables is also studied.
We consider stochastic differential equations driven by Wiener processes. The vector fields are supposed to satisfy only local Lipschitz conditions. The Lipschitz constants of the drift vector field, valid on balls of radius $R$, are supposed to grow not faster than $\log R$, while those of the diffusion vector fields are supposed to grow not faster than $\sqrt{\log R}.$ We regularize the stochastic differential equations by associating with them approximating ordinary differential equations obtained by discretization of the increments of the Wiener process on small intervals. By showing that …
We introduce the notion of stochastic logarithmic Lipschitz constants and use these constants to characterize stochastic contractivity of Itô stochastic differential equations (SDEs) with multiplicative noise. We find an upper bound for stochastic logarithmic Lipschitz constants based on known logarithmic norms (matrix measures) of the Jacobian of the drift and diffusion terms of the SDEs. We discuss noise-induced contractivity in SDEs and common noise-induced synchronization in network of SDEs and illustrate the theoretical results on a noisy Van der Pol oscillator. We show that a determinist…
The existence of the unique strong solution for a class of stochastic differential equations with non-Lipschitz coefficients was established recently. In this paper, we shall investigate the dependence with respect to the initial values. We shall prove that the non confluence of solutions holds under our general conditions. To obtain a continuous version, the modulus of continuity of coefficients is assumed to be less than $\dis |x-y|\log{1\over|x-y|}$. In this case, it will give rise to a flow of homeomorphisms if the coefficients are compactly supported.
This paper, is an attempt to extend the notion of stochastic viscosity solution to reflected semi-linear stochastic partial differential equations (RSPDEs, in short) with non-Lipschitz condition on the coefficients. Our method is fully probabilistic and use the recently developed theory on reflected backward doubly stochastic differential equations (RBDSDEs, in short). Among other, we prove the existence of the stochastic viscosity solution, and further extend the nonlinear Feynman-Kac formula to reflected SPDEs, like one appear in \cite{2}. Indeed, in their recent work, Aman and Mrhardy \cite…
Firstly, we investigate Euler-Maruyama approximation for solutions of stochastic differential equations (SDEs) driven by a symmetric α stable process under Komatsu condition for coefficients. The approximation implies naturally the existence of strong solutions. Secondly, we study the stability of solutions under Komatsu condition, and also discuss it under Belfadli-Ouknine condition.
We consider strong convergence of the finite differences approximation in space for stochastic reaction diffusion equations with multiplicative noise under a one-sided Lipschitz condition only. We derive convergence with an implicit rate depending on the regularity of the exact solution. This can be made explicit if the variational solution has more than its canonical spatial regularity. As an application, spatially extended FitzHugh-Nagumo systems with noise are considered.
We prove an $L^2$-regularity result for the solutions of Forward Backward Doubly Stochastic Differentiel Equations (FBDSDEs in short) under globally Lipschitz continuous assumptions on the coefficients. Therefore, we extend the well known regularity results established by Zhang (2004) for Forward Backward Stochastic Differential Equations (FBSDEs in short) to the doubly stochastic framework. To this end, we prove (by Malliavin calculus) a representation result for the martingale component of the solution of the F-BDSDE under the assumption that the coefficients are continuous in time and conti…
This paper is devoted to studying the averaging principle for stochastic differential equations with slow and fast time-scales, where the drift coefficients satisfy local Lipschitz conditions with respect to the slow and fast variables, and the coefficients in the slow equation depend on time $t$ and $ω$. Making use of the techniques of time discretization and truncation, we prove that the slow component strongly converges to the solution of the corresponding averaged equation.
In this paper we study the unique solvability of backward stochastic Volterra integral equations (BSVIEs in short), in terms of both the M-solutions introduced in [17] and the adapted solutions in [6], [12] or [14]. A general existence and uniqueness of M-solutions is proved under non-Lipschitz conditions by virtue of a briefer argument than the one in [17], which also extends the results in [17]. For the adapted solutions, the unique solvability of BSVIEs, under more general stochastic non-Lipschitz conditions, is obtained which generalizes the results in [6], [12] and [14].
This paper provides a new characterization of the stochastic invariance of a closed subset of R^d with respect to a diffusion. We extend the well-known inward pointing Stratonovich drift condition to the case where the diffusion matrix can fail to be differentiable: we only assume that the covariance matrix is. In particular, our result can be directly applied to construct affine diffusions and polynomial preserving diffusions on any arbitrary closed set.
In this paper, we are interested in solving multidimensional backward stochastic differential equations (BSDEs) in $L^p\ (p>1)$ under weaker assumptions on the coefficients, considering both a finite and an infinite time interval. We establish a general existence and uniqueness result of solutions in $L^p\ (p>1)$ to finite and infinite time interval BSDEs with non-Lipschitz coefficients, which includes the corresponding results in \citet{Par90}, \citet{Mao95}, \citet{Chen97}, \citet{Cons01}, \citet{Wang03}, \citet{Chen00} and \citet{Wang09} as its particular cases.
Localized sufficient conditions for the large deviation principle of the given stochastic differential equations will be presented for stochastic differential equations with non-Lipschitzian and time-inhomogeneous coefficients, which is weaker than those relevant conditions existing in the literature. We consider at first the large deviation principle when $\int_0^t\sup_{x\in\mathbb{R}^d}||σ(s,x)||\vee|b(s,x)|ds=:C_t<\infty$ for any fixed $t$, then we generalize the conclusion to unbounded case by using bounded approximation program.
