We compute $t$--analogs of $q$--characters of all $l$--fundamental representations of the quantum affine algebras of type $E_6^{(1)}$, $E_7^{(1)}$, $E_8^{(1)}$ by a supercomputer. In particular, we prove the fermionic formula for Kirillov-Reshetikhin modules conjectured by Hatayama et al. (math.QA/9812022) for these classes of representations. We also give explicitly the monomial realization of the crystal of the corresponding fundamental representations of the qunatum enveloping algebras associated with finite dimensional Lie algebras of types $E_6$, $E_7$, $E_8$. These are computations of Betti numbers of graded quiver varieties, quiver varieties and determination of all irreducible components of the lagrangian subvarities of quiver varieties of types $E_6$, $E_7$, $E_8$ respectively.
We give (conjectural) analogs of Berenstein-Zelevinsky data for affine type $A$. Moreover, by using these affine analogs of Berenstein-Zelevinsky data, we realize the crystal basis of the negative part of the quantized universal enveloping algebra of the (Langlands dual) Lie algebra of affine type $A$.
We prove the Kirillov-Reshetikhin conjecture concerning certain finite dimensional representations of a quantum affine algebra $\Ua$ when $\hat\g$ is an untwisted affine Lie algebra of type $ADE$. We use $t$--analog of $q$--characters introduced by the author in an essential way.
We give a tableaux sum expression of $t$--analog of $q$--characters of finite dimensional representations (standard modules) of quantum affine algebras $\Ul$ when $\g$ is of type $A_n$, $D_n$.
Let us consider a specialization of an untwisted quantum affine algebra of type $ADE$ at a nonzero complex number, which may or may not be a root of unity. The Grothendieck ring of its finite dimensional representations has two bases, simple modules and standard modules. We identify entries of the transition matrix with special values of ``computable'' polynomials, similar to Kazhdan-Lusztig polynomials. At the same time we ``compute'' $q$-characters for all simple modules. The result is based on ``computations'' of Betti numbers of graded/cyclic quiver varieties. (The reason why we put `` '' …
We construct quantized versions of generic bases in quantum cluster algebras of finite and affine types. Under the specialization of $q$ and coefficients to 1, these bases are generic bases of finite and affine cluster algebras.
Frenkel-Reshetikhin introduced $q$-characters of finite dimensional representations of quantum affine algebras. We give a combinatorial algorithm to compute them for all simple modules. Our tool is $t$-analogue of the $q$-characters, which is similar to Kazhdan-Lusztig polynomials, and our algorithm has a resemblance with their definition.
This paper is concerned with one-dimensional sums in classical affine types. We prove a conjecture of the third author and Zabrocki by showing they all decompose in terms of one-dimensional sums related to affine type A provided the rank of the root system considered is sufficiently large. As a consequence, any one-dimensional sum associated to a classical affine root system with sufficiently large rank can be regarded as a parabolic Lusztig q-analogue.
We consider an eigenvalue problem for a discrete analogue of the Hamiltonian of the non-ideal Bose gas with delta-potentials on a circle. It is a two-parameter deformation of the discrete Hamiltonian for joint moments of the partition function of the O'Connell-Yor semi-discrete polymer. We construct the propagation operator by using integral-reflection operators, which give a representation of the affine Hecke algebra. We also construct eigenfunctions by means of the Bethe ansatz method.
We study a $q$-deformation for the semi-direct product of the symmetric group $S_n$ with the Clifford algebra on $n$ anticommuting generators. We obtain a $q$-version of the projective analogue for the classical Young symmetrizer found by the second author [Adv. Math. 127(1997), 190-257]. Our main tool is an analogue of the Hecke algebra of complex valued functions on the group $GL_{n}$ over a $p$-adic field relative to the Iwahori subgroup.
We prove an analogue of the Sylvester theorem for the generator matrices of the quantum affine algebra ${\rm U}_q(\hat{\mathfrak{gl}}_n)$. We then use it to give an explicit realization of the skew representations of the quantum affine algebra. This allows one to identify them in a simple way by calculating their highest weight, Drinfeld polynomials and the Gelfand-Tsetlin character (or $q$-character). We also apply the quantum Sylvester theorem to construct a $q$-analogue of the Olshanski algebra as a projective limit of certain centralizers in ${\rm U}_q(\mathfrak{gl}_n)$ and show that this …
In the present paper, we give an explicit description of the affine analogs of Berenstein-Zelevinsky data constructed in our previous paper: Toward Berenstein-Zelevinsky data in affine type $A$, I: Construction of affine analogs (arXiv:1009.4526), in terms of certain collections of nonnegative integers, which we call Lusztig data of type $A_{l-1}^{(1)}$.
We give an interpretation of the double affine Hecke algebra of Cherednik as the (suitably regularized) algebra of double cosets of a group G by a subgroup J, extending the well known interpretations of finite and affine Hecke algebras. In this interpretation, G consists of K-points of a split reductive group where K is a 2-dimensional local field such as Q_p((t)) or F_q((t_1))((t_2)), and J is a certain analog of the Iwahori subgroup.
We prove the existence of a homomorphism of vertex algebras, from the vacuum Verma module over the loop algebra of an untwisted affine algebra, whose construction is analogous to that of the Feigin-Frenkel homomorphism from the vacuum Verma module at critical level over an affine algebra.
In this paper we complete the proof of the X=K conjecture, that for every family of nonexceptional affine algebras, the graded multiplicities of tensor products of symmetric power Kirillov-Reshetikhin modules known as one-dimensional sums, have a large rank stable limit X that has a simple expression (called the K-polynomial) as nonnegative integer combination of Kostka-Foulkes polynomials. We consider a subfamily of Lusztig's q-analogues of weight multiplicity which we call stable KL polynomials and denote by KL. We give a type-independent proof that K=KL. This proves that X=KL: the family of…
We give a construction of an affine Hecke algebra associated to any Coxeter group acting on an abelian variety by reflections; in the case of an affine Weyl group, the result is an elliptic analogue of the usual double affine Hecke algebra. As an application, we use a variant of the $\tilde{C}_n$ version of the construction to construct a flat noncommutative deformation of the $n$th symmetric power of any rational surface with a smooth anticanonical curve, and give a further construction which conjecturally is a corresponding deformation of the Hilbert scheme of points.
We present a fast version of the algorithm of Lascoux, Leclerc, and Thibon for the lower global crystal base for the Fock representation of quantum affine sl_n. We also show that the coefficients of the lower global crystal base coincide with certain affine Kazhdan-Lusztig polynomials. It is known that the coefficients of the global crystal base are q-analogues of decomposition numbers for Specht modules of the Hecke algebra of type A_n, and that the coefficients of the affine Kazhdan-Lusztig polynomials are q-analogues of decomposition numbers for tilting modules for quantum sl_k. Thus our al…
We describe a generalization of Drinfeld's description of the center of a quantum group to the case of quantum affine algebras. We use the obtained central elements to construct the affine analogue of Macdonald's difference operators.
The main goal of this review is to compare different approaches to constructing geometry associated with a Hecke type braiding (in particular, with that related to the quantum group U_q(sl(n))). We make an emphasis on affine braided geometry related to the so-called Reflection Equation Algebra (REA). All objects of such type geometry are defined in the spirit of affine algebraic geometry via polynomial relations on generators. We begin with comparing the Poisson counterparts of "quantum varieties" and describe different approaches to their quantization. Also, we exhibit two approaches to intro…
We categorify the extended affine Hecke algebra and the affine quantum Schur algebra S(n,r) for 2 < r < n, using Elias-Khovanov and Khovanov-Lauda type diagrams. We also define the affine analogue of the Elias-Khovanov and the Khovanov-Lauda 2-representations of these categorifications into an extension of the 2-category of affine (singular) Soergel bimodules.
We introduce certain raising and lowering operators for Macdonald polynomials (of type $A_{n-1}$) by means of Dunkl operators. The raising operators we discuss are a natural $q$-analogue of raising operators for Jack polynomials introduced by L.Lapointe and L.Vinet. As an application we prove the integrality of double Kostka coefficients. Double analog of the multinomial coefficients are introduced.
The q-characters were introduced by Frenkel and mReshetikhin to study finite dimensional representations of the untwisted quantum affine algebra for q generic. The $ε$-characters at roots of unity were constructed by Frenkel and Mukhin to study finite dimensional representations of various specializations of the quantum affine algebra at $q^s=1$. In the finite simply laced case Nakajima defined deformations of q-characters called q,t-characters, for q generic and also at roots of unity. The definition is combinatorial but the proof of the existence uses the geometric theory of quiver varieties…
We give some higher dimensional analogues of the Durfee square formula and point out their relation to dissections of multipartitions. We apply the results to write certain affine Lie algebra characters in terms of Universal Chiral Partition Functions.
We introduce an analogue of the $q$-Schur algebra associated to Coxeter systems of type $\hat A_{n-1}$. We give two constructions of this algebra. The first construction realizes the algebra as a certain endomorphism algebra arising from an affine Hecke algebra of type $\hat A_{r-1}$, where $n \geq r$. This generalizes the original $q$-Schur algebra as defined by Dipper and James, and the new algebra contains the ordinary $q$-Schur algebra and the affine Hecke algebra as subalgebras. Using this approach we can prove a double centralizer property. The second construction realizes the affine $q$…
Various constructions of the affine Lie algebra action on the homology group of moduli spaces of instantons on 4-manifolds are discussed. The analogy between the local-global principle and the role of mass is also explained. The detailed proofs are given in separated papers \cite{Na-algebra,Na-Hilbert}.
We obtain Drinfeld second realization of the quantum affine superalgebras associated with the affine Lie superalgebra $D^{(1)}(2,1;x)$. Our results are analogous to those obtained by Beck for the quantum affine algebras. Beck's analysis uses heavily the (extended) affine Weyl groups of the affine Lie algebras. In our approach the structures are based on a Weyl groupoid.
We prove the rank 1 case of a conjecture of Frenkel-Gaitsgory: critical level Kac-Moody representations with regular central characters localize onto the affine Grassmannian. The method uses an analogue in local geometric Langlands of the existence of Whittaker models for most representations of $GL_2$ over a non-Archimedean field.
We construct actions of the affine Yangian of type A on higher level Fock spaces by extending known actions of the Yangian of finite type A due to Uglov. This is a degenerate analog of a result by Takemura-Uglov, which constructed actions of the quantum toroidal algebra on higher level $q$-deformed Fock spaces.
A $q$-analog of the Clebsch Gordan rules for the tensor products of the fundamental representations of Yangian is introduced. Its relation to the crystal base theory and application to the spinon character formulas are discussed in case of $C_2^{(1)}$ explicitly.
Let X be a smooth projectibe curve over a finite field. We consider the Hall algebra H whose basis is formed by isomorphism classes of coherent sheaves on X and whose typical structure constant is the number of subsheaves in a given sheaf belonging to a given isomorphism class and with given isomorphism class of quotient. We study this algebra in detail. It turns out that its structure is strikingly similar to that of quantum affine algebras in their loop realization of Drinfeld. In this analogy the set of simple roots of a semisimple Lie algebra g corresponds to the set of cusp forms on X, th…
We consider principal subspace W(Λ) of integrable highest weight module L(Λ) for quantum affine algebra $U_q(\hat{\mathfrak{sl}}_{n+1})$. We introduce quantum analogues of the quasi-particles associated with the principal subspaces for $\hat{\mathfrak{sl}}_{n+1}$ and discover certain relations among them. By using these relations we find, for certain highest weight Λ, combinatorial bases of principal subspace W(Λ) in terms of monomials of quantum quasi-particles.
We study representations of the double affine Lie algebra associated to a simple Lie algebra. We construct a family of indecomposable integrable representations and identify their irreducible quotients. We also give a condition for the indecomposable modules to be irreducible, this is analogous to a result in the representation theory of quantum affine algebras. Finally, in the last section of the paper, we show, by using the notion of fusion product, that our modules are generically reducible.
A representation of the Quantum Toroidal Algebra of type sl(N) is constructed on every irreducible integrable highest weight module of the Quantum Affine Algebra of type gl(N). As an intermediate step in the construction, we obtain a quantum analogue of the classical level-rank duality, describing the reciprocal decomposition of the q-Fock space with respect to mutually commutative actions of U_q(gl(N)^) of level L, and U_q(sl(L)^) of level N.
We introduce and study an affine analogue of skew Young diagrams and tableaux on them. It turns out that the double affine Hecke algebra of type $A$ acts on the space spanned by standard tableaux on each diagram. It is shown that the modules obtained this way are irreducible, and they exhaust all irreducible modules of a certain class over the double affine Hecke algebra. In particular, the classification of irreducible modules of this class, announced by Cherednik, is recovered.
The coordinate ring $\mathcal{O}_{\mathbf{q}}(\mathbb{K}^n)$ of quantum affine space is the $\mathbb{K}$-algebra presented by generators $x_1,\cdots ,x_n$ and relations $x_ix_j=q_{ij}x_jx_i$ for all $i,j$. We construct simple $\mathcal{O}_{\mathbf{q}}(\mathbb{K}^n)$-modules in a more general setting where the entries $q_{ij}$ lie in a torsion subgroup of $\mathbb{K}^*$ and show analogous results hold as in single parameter case.
The Lascoux-Leclerc-Thibon conjecture, reformulated and solved by S. Ariki, asserts that the K-group of the representations of the affine Hecke algebras of type A is isomorphic to the algebra of functions on the maximal unipotent subgroup of the group associated with the Lie algebra $gl_\infty$ or the affine Lie algebra $A^{(1)}_\ell$, and the irreducible representations correspond to the upper global bases. In this note, we formulate analogous conjectures for certain classes of irreducible representations of affine Hecke algebras of type B. We corrected typos.
In this paper, we obtain affine analogues of Gindikin-Karpelevich formula and Casselman-Shalika formula as sums over Kashiwara-Lusztig's canonical bases. Suggested by these formulas, we define natural $q$-deformation of arithmetical functions such as (multi-)partition function and Ramanujan $τ$-function, and prove various identities among them. In some examples, we recover classical identities by taking limits. We also consider $q$-deformation of Kostant's function and study certain $q$-polynomials whose special values are weight multiplicities.
We propose a method of quantization of certain Lie bialgebra structures on the polynomial Lie algebras related to quasi-trigonometric solutions of the classical Yang--Baxter equation. The method is based on an affine realization of certain seaweed algebras and their quantum analogues. We also propose a method of $ω$-affinization, which enables us to quantize rational $r$-matrices of $\mathfrak{sl}(3)$.
Kerov, Kirillov, and Reshetikhin defined a bijection between highest weight vectors in the crystal graph of a tensor power of the vector representation, and combinatorial objects called rigged configurations, for type $A^{(1)}_n$. We define an analogous bijection for all nonexceptional affine types, thereby proving (in this special case) the fermionic formulas conjectured by Hatayama, Kuniba, Takagi, Tsuboi, Yamada, and the first author.
We examine two isomorphisms between affine Hecke algebras of type $A$ associated with parameters $q^{-1}$, $t^{-1}$ and $q$, $t$. One of them maps the non-symmetric Macdonald polynomials $E_η(x;q^{-1},t^{-1})$ onto $E_η(x;q,t)$, while the other maps them onto non-symmetric analogues of the multivariable Al-Salam & Carlitz polynomials. Using the properties of $E_η(x;q^{-1},t^{-1})$, the corresponding properties of these latter polynomials can then be elucidated.
We construct boundary type operators satisfying fused reflection equation for arbitrary representations of the Baxterized affine Hecke algebra. These operators are analogues of the fused reflection matrices in solvable half-line spin chain models. We show that these operators lead to a family of commuting transfer matrices of Sklyanin type. We derive fusion type functional relations for these operators for two families of representations.
The Demazure character formula is applied to the Verlinde formula for affine fusion rules. We follow Littelmann's derivation of a generalized Littlewood-Richardson rule from Demazure characters. A combinatorial rule for affine fusions does not result, however. Only a modified version of the Littlewood-Richardson rule is obtained that computes an (old) upper bound on the fusion coefficients of affine $A_r$ algebras. We argue that this is because the characters of simple Lie algebras appear in this treatment, instead of the corresponding affine characters. The Bruhat order on the affine Weyl gro…
We introduce and study holomorphically finitely generated (HFG) Fréchet algebras, which are analytic counterparts of affine (i.e., finitely generated) $\mathbb C$-algebras. Using a theorem of O. Forster, we prove that the category of commutative HFG algebras is anti-equivalent to the category of Stein spaces of finite embedding dimension. We also show that the class of HFG algebras is stable under some standard constructions. This enables us to give a series of concrete examples of HFG algebras, including Arens-Michael envelopes of affine algebras (such as the algebras of holomorphic functions…
