Let P be a quadratic operad. We determine an associated operad ~P such that for any P-algebra A and any ~P-algebra B then the tensor product $A \otimes B$ is a P-algebra.
We discuss the Kummer subspaces of tensor products of cyclic algebras, focusing mainly on the case of cyclic algebras of degree 3. We present a family of maximal spaces in the general case, classify all the monomial spaces in the case of tensor products of cyclic algebras of degree 3 using graph theory, and provide an upper bound for the dimension in the generic tensor product of cyclic algebras of degree 3.
We study BiHom-Novikov-Poisson algebras, which are twisted generalizations of Novikov-Poisson algebras and Hom-Novikov-Poisson algebras, and find that BiHom-Novikov-Poisson algebras are closed under tensor products and several kinds of perturbations. Necessary and sufficient conditions are given under which BiHom-Novikov-Poisson algebras give rise to BiHom-Poisson algebras.
Non-abelian tensor product of Hom-Lie algebras is constructed and studied. This tensor product is used to describe universal ($α$-)central extensions of Hom-Lie algebras and to establish a relation between cyclic and Milnor cyclic homologies of Hom-associative algebras satisfying certain additional condition.
Dimension effect algebras were introduced in (A. Jencova, S. Pulmannova, Rep. Math. Phys. 62 (2008), 205-218), and it was proved that they are unit intervals in dimension groups. We prove that the effect algebra tensor product of dimension effect algebras is a dimension effect algebra, which is the unit interval in the unital abelian po-groups tensor product of the corresponding dimension groups.
In this paper we introduce the concept of morphisms of Kähler-Poisson algebras and study their algebraic properties. In particular, we find conditions, in terms of the metric, for two algebras to be isomorphic, and we introduce direct sums and tensor products of Kähler-Poisson algebras. We provide detailed examples to illustrate the novel concepts.
The starting point of this work is that the class of evolution algebras over a fixed field is closed under tensor product. This arises questions about the inheritance of properties from the tensor product to the factors and conversely. For instance nondegeneracy, irreducibility, perfectness and simplicity are investigated. The four-dimensional case is illustrative and useful to contrast conjectures so we achieve a complete classification of four-dimensional perfect evolution algebras arising as tensor product of two-dimensional ones. We find that there are 4-dimensional evolution algebras whic…
We study some properties of the non-abelian tensor product of Hom-Lie algebras concerning the preservation of products and quotients, solvability and nilpotency, and describe compatibility with the universal central extensions of perfect Hom-Lie algebras.
In this paper, we study homological properties of twisted tensor products of connected graded algebras. We focus on the Ext-algebras of twisted tensor products with a certain form of twisting maps firstly. We show those Ext-algebras are also twisted tensor products, and depict the twisting maps for such Ext-algebras in-depth. With those preparations, we describe Nakayama automorphisms of twisted tensor products of noetherian Artin-Schelter regular algebras.
We study the tensor product of an associative and a nonassociative cyclic algebra. The condition for the tensor product to be a division algebra equals the classical one for the tensor product of two associative cyclic algebras by Albert or Jacobson, if the base field contains a suitable root of unity. Stronger conditions are obtained in special cases. Applications to space-time block coding are discussed.
We introduce an algorithm to decide isomorphism between tensors. The algorithm uses the Lie algebra of derivations of a tensor to compress the space in which the search takes place to a so-called densor space. To make the method practicable we give a polynomial-time algorithm to solve a generalization of module isomorphism for a common class of Lie modules. As a consequence, we show that isomorphism testing is in polynomial time for tensors whose derivation algebras are classical Lie algebras and whose densor spaces are 1-dimensional. The method has been implemented in the Magma computer algeb…
We introduce what we call "alternative twisted tensor products" for not necessarily associative algebras, as a common generalization of several different constructions: the Cayley-Dickson process, the Clifford process and the twisted tensor product of two associative algebras, one of them being commutative. We show that some very basic facts concerning the Cayley-Dickson process (the equivalence between the two different formulations of it and the lifting of the involution) are particular cases of general results about alternative twisted tensor products of algebras. As a class of examples of …
We study possible decompositions of totally decomposable algebras with involution, that is, tensor products of quaternion algebras with involution. In particular, we are interested in decompositions in which one or several factors are the split quaternion algebra $M_2(F)$, endowed with an orthogonal involution. Using the theory of gauges, developed by Tignol-Wadsworth, we construct examples of algebras isomorphic to a tensor product of quaternion algebras with $k$ split factors, endowed with an involution which is totally decomposable, but does not admit any decomposition with $k$ factors $M_2…
In this paper, the tensor product of highest weight modules with intermediate series modules over the Neveu-Schwarz algebra is studied. The weight spaces of such tensor products are all infinitely dimensional if the highest weight module is nontrivial. We find that all such tensor products are indecomposable. We give the necessary and sufficient conditions for these tensor product modules to be irreducible by using shifting technique established for the Virasoro case in [13]. The necessary and sufficient conditions for any two such tensor products to be isomorphic are also determined.
We give classifications of group gradings, up to equivalence and up to isomorphism, on the tensor product of a Cayley algebra $\mathcal{C}$ and a Hurwitz algebra over a field of characteristic different from 2. We also prove that the automorphism group schemes of $\mathcal{C}^{\otimes n}$ and $\mathcal{C}^n$ are isomorphic. On the other hand, we prove that the automorphism group schemes of a Smirnov algebra (a $35$-dimensional simple exceptional structurable algebra constructed from a Cayley algebra $\mathcal{C}$) and $\mathcal{C}$ are isomorphic. This is used to obtain classifications, up to …
In this paper, we establish Composition-Diamond lemma for tensor product $k< X> \otimes k< Y>$ of two free algebras over a field. As an application, we construct a Groebner-Shirshov basis in $k< X> \otimes k< Y>$ by lifting a Groebner-Shirshov basis in $k[X] \otimes k< Y>$, where $k[X]$ is a commutative algebra.
This paper introduces methods for classifying actions of finite-dimensional Hopf algebras on path algebras of quivers, and more generally on tensor algebras $T_B(V)$ where $B$ is semisimple. We work within the broader framework of finite (multi-)tensor categories $\mathcal{C}$, classifying tensor algebras in $\mathcal{C}$ in terms of $\mathcal{C}$-module categories. We obtain two classification results for actions of semisimple Hopf algebras: the first for actions which preserve the ascending filtration on tensor algebras, and the second for actions which preserve the descending filtration on …
The tensor product algebra TA(n) for the complex general linear group GL(n), introduced by Howe et al., describes the decomposition of tensor products of irreducible polynomial representations of GL(n). Using the hive model for the Littlewood-Richardson coefficients, we provide a finite presentation of the algebra TA(n) for n=2, 3, 4 in terms of generators and relations, thereby giving a description of highest weight vectors of irreducible representations in the tensor products. We also compute the generating function of certain sums of Littlewood-Richardson coefficients.
We define the class of non-decomposable $N$-ary operations in the mixed tensor algebra $\bigoplus\limits_{i,j=0}^\infty A_i^j$. There are higher Jacobi-like identities for (binary) deformed matrix commutator and a 3-ary operation which is non-decomposable into binary ones.
We study new coalgebra structures on the tensor product of two coalgebras $C$ and $D$ by twisting the tensor product coalgebra via a twist map $Ψ: C \otimes D \rightarrow D \otimes C$. We deal with the general case in which the counit of the tensor product coalgebra is deformed as well. Some classes of such deformations are analyzed and a notion of equivalence of twists is discussed. We also present the dual deformation of tensor product algebras and provide examples.
In this paper, we give the oriented quantum algebra (abbr. OQA) structures on the tensor product of two different OQAs by using Chen's weak $\mathfrak{R}$-matrix in [J. Algebra 204(1998):504-531]. As a special case, the OQA structures on the tensor product of an OQA with itself are provided, which are different from Radford's results in [J. Knot Theory Ramifications 16(2007):929-957].
In this note, we prove the Koszulity of the tensor product algebra defined in the author's previous work for sl(n) and a list of fundamental weights. This is achieved by constructing a graded Morita equivalence between the modules over this algebra and a sum of blocks of category O in type A.
In this paper we study universal central extensions and non-abelian tensor product of hom-Lie-Rinehart algebras. We discuss about universal $α$- central extensions, and, lifting of automorphisms and $α$-derivations to central extensions for hom-Lie-Rinehart algebras. This is in turn provide such lifting of automorphisms and $α^k$-derivations to the central extensions for hom-Lie algebras.
We introduce a decomposition of associative algebras into a tensor product of cyclic modules. This produces a means to encode a basis with logarithmic information and thus extends the reach of calculation with large algebras. Our technique is an analogue to the Schreier-Sims algorithm for permutation groups and is a by-product of Frobenius reciprocity.
The affine and degenerate affine Birman-Murakami-Wenzl (BMW) algebras arise naturally in the context of Schur-Weyl duality for orthogonal and symplectic quantum groups and Lie algebras, respectively. Cyclotomic BMW algebras, affine and cyclotomic Hecke algebras, and their degenerate versions are quotients. In this paper we explain how the affine and degenerate affine BMW algebras are tantalizers (tensor power centralizer algebras) by defining actions of the affine braid group and the degenerate affine braid algebra on tensor space and showing that, in important cases, these actions induce acti…
In this paper, first we introduce the notion of a nonabelian embedding tensor, which is a nonabelian generalization of an embedding tensor. Then we introduce the notion of a Leibniz-Lie algebra, which is the underlying algebraic structure of a nonabelian embedding tensor, and can also be viewed as a nonabelian generalization of a Leibniz algebra. Next using the derived bracket, we construct a differential graded Lie algebra, whose Maurer-Cartan elements are exactly nonabelian embedding tensors. Consequently, we obtain the differential graded Lie algebra that governs deformations of a nonabelia…
In this paper, we first construct the controlling algebras of embedding tensors and Lie-Leibniz triples, which turn out to be a graded Lie algebra and an $L_\infty$-algebra respectively. Then we introduce representations and cohomologies of embedding tensors and Lie-Leibniz triples, and show that there is a long exact sequence connecting various cohomologies. As applications, we classify infinitesimal deformations and central extensions using the second cohomology groups. Finally, we introduce the notion of a homotopy embedding tensor which will induce a Leibniz$_\infty$-algebra. We realize Ko…
