We discuss the asymptotic expansions of certain products of Bernoulli numbers and factorials, e.g., \[ \prod_{ν=1}^n |B_{2ν}| \quad \text{and} \quad \prod_{ν=1}^n (k ν)!^{ν^r} \quad \text{as} \quad n \to \infty \] for integers $k \geq 1$ and $r \geq 0$. Our main interest is to determine exact expressions, in terms of known constants, for the asymptotic constants of these expansions and to show some relations among them.
A number of identities are proved by using Stirling transforms. These identities involve Stirling numbers of the first and second kinds, hyperharmonic and derangement numbers, Bernoulli and Euler numbers and polynomials, powers, power sums, and factorials.
We introduce multi-poly-Bernoulli-Carlitz numbers, function field analogues of multi-poly-Bernoulli numbers of Imatomi-Kaneko-Takeda. We explicitly describe multi-poly-Bernoulli Carlitz numbers in terms of the Carlitz factorial and the Stirling-Carlitz numbers of the second kind and also show their relationships with function field analogues of finite multiple zeta values.
In recent years, many authors have studied Changhee and Dae- hee polynomials in connection with many special numbers and polynomials. In this paper, we investigate type 2 Changhee and Daehee numbers and polynomials and give some identities for these numbers and polynomials in relation to type 2 Euler and Bernoulli numbers and polynomials. In addition, we express the central factorial numbers of the second kind in terms of type 2 Bernoulli, type 2 Changhee and type 2 Daehee numbers of negative integral orders.
Let $f$ be a real-valued function of a single variable such that it is positive over the primes. In this article, we construct a factorial, $n!_f$, associated to $f$, called the associated Legendre formula, or $f$-factorial, and show, subject to certain criteria, that $n!_f$ satisfies a weak Stirling approximation. As an application, we will give weak approximations to the Bhargava factorial over the set of primes and to a less well-known Legendre formula.
We study inverse factorial series and their relation to Stirling numbers of the first kind. We prove a special representation of the polylogarithm function in terms of series with such numbers. Using various identities for Stirling numbers of the first kind we construct a number of expansions of functions in terms of inverse factorial series where the coefficients are special numbers. These results are used to prove/reprove the asymptotic expansion of some classical functions. We also prove a binomial formula involving inverse factorials.
We study the asymptotic density of the set of subscripts of the Bernoulli numbers having a given denominator. We also study the distribution of distinct Bernoulli denominators and some related problems.
Several new estimates for the 2-adic valuations of Stirling numbers of the second kind are proved. These estimates, together with criteria for when they are sharp, lead to improvements in several known theorems and their proofs, as well as to new theorems. The estimates and criteria all depend on our previous analysis of powers of 2 in the denominators of coefficients of higher order Bernoulli polynomials. The corresponding estimates for Stirling numbers of the first kind are also proved. Some attention is given to asymptotic cases, which will be further explored in subsequent publications.

We provide a multidimensional weighted Euler--MacLaurin summation formula on polytopes and a multidimensional generalization of a result due to L. J. Mordell on the series expansion in Bernoulli polynomials. These results are consequences of a more general series expansion; namely, if $χ_{τ\mathcal{P}}$ denotes the characteristic function of a dilated integer convex polytope $\mathcal{P}$ and $q$ is a function with suitable regularity, we prove that the periodization of $qχ_{τ\mathcal{P}}$ admits an expansion in terms of multivariate Bernoulli polynomials. These multivariate polynomials are re…
