We study homological mirror symmetry for Del Pezzo surfaces and their mirror Landau-Ginzburg models. In particular, we show that the derived category of coherent sheaves on a Del Pezzo surface X_k obtained by blowing up CP^2 at k points is equivalent to the derived category of vanishing cycles of a certain elliptic fibration W_k:M_k\to\C with k+3 singular fibers, equipped with a suitable symplectic form. Moreover, we also show that this mirror correspondence between derived categories can be extended to noncommutative deformations of X_k, and give an explicit correspondence between the deformation parameters for X_k and the cohomology class [B+iω]\in H^2(M_k,C).
Let A be a del Pezzo order on the projective plane over the field of complex numbers. We prove that every torsion-free A-module of rank one can be deformed into a locally free A-module of rank one.
We investigate torsion exceptional sheaves on a weak del Pezzo surface of degree greater than two whose anticanonical model has at most $A_n$-singularities. We show that every torsion exceptional sheaf can be obtained from a line bundle on a $(-1)$-curve by acting spherical twist functors successively.
On certain del Pezzo surfaces with large automorphism groups, it is shown that the solution to the Kähler-Ricci flow with a certain initial value converges in $C^\infty$-norm exponentially fast to a Kähler-Einstein metric. The proof is based on the method of multiplier ideal sheaves.
Let $X$ be a del Pezzo surface. When the degree of $X$ is at least 4, we compute the cohomology of a general sheaf in the moduli space of Gieseker semistable sheaves. We also classify the Chern characters for which the general sheaf in the moduli space is non-special, i.e. has at most one nonzero cohomology group. Our results hold for arbitrary polarizations, slope semistability, and semi-exceptional moduli spaces. When the degree of $X$ is at least 3, we further show our construction of certain vector bundles implies the existence of stable and semistable sheaves with respect to the anti-cano…
We apply Nadel's method of multiplier ideal sheaves to show that every complex del Pezzo surface of degree at most six whose automorphism group acts without fixed points has a Kähler-Einstein metric. In particular, all del Pezzo surfaces of degree $4,5$, or $6$ and certain special del Pezzo surfaces of lower degree are shown to have a Kähler-Einstein metric. This result is not new, but the proofs given in the present paper are less involved than earlier ones by Siu, Tian and Tian-Yau.
We prove the homological mirror conjecture for toric del Pezzo surfaces. In this case, the mirror object is a regular function on an algebraic torus. We show that the derived Fukaya category of this mirror coincides with the derived category of coherent sheaves on the original manifold.
In this paper we deal with semistable sheaves which can be represented as the cokernel of an injective (or as the kernel of a surjective) morphism $E_1\otimes\CC^m\longrightarrow E_2\otimes\CC^n$ , where $E_1$ and $E_2$ are exceptional bundles. To each such a sheaf we assign the linear map $\CC^m\otimes\hom^*(E_1,E_2)\longrightarrow \CC^n$. We obtain sufficient conditions on the topological invariants of the sheaves for the moduli space of the sheaves to be isomorphic to the quotient of an open subset in $\PP{\cal L}(\CC^m\otimes\hom^*(E_1,E_2),\CC^n)$ under the action of SL$(\CC^m)\times$SL$(…
In this paper we construct a full exceptional collection of sheaves on some family of log Del Pezzo surfaces, viewed as a smooth stack. These surfaces can be embedded as a quasi-smooth hypersurfaces into a certain weighted projective space, and they are not toric.
We investigate exceptional sheaves on the Hirzebruch surface $\mathbb{F}_2$, as the first attempt toward the classification of exceptional objects on weak del Pezzo surfaces.
We study complete exceptional collections of coherent sheaves over Del Pezzo surfaces, which consist of three blocks such that inside each block all Ext groups between the sheaves are zero. We show that the ranks of all sheaves in such a block are the same and the three ranks corresponding to a complete 3-block exceptional collection satisfy a Markov-type Diophantine equation that is quadratic in each variable. For each Del Pezzo surface, there is a finite number of these equations; the complete list is given. The 3-string braid group acts by mutations on the set of complete 3-block exceptiona…
We study Le Potier's strange duality on del Pezzo surfaces using quot schemes to construct independent sections of theta line bundles on moduli spaces of sheaves, one of which is the Hilbert scheme of n points. For n at most 7, we use multiple point formulas to count the length of the quot scheme, which agrees with the dimension of the space of sections on the Hilbert scheme. When the surface is the projective plane and n is arbitrary, we use nice resolutions of general stable sheaves to show that the quot schemes that arise are finite and reduced. Combining our results, we obtain a lower boun…
We classify morphisms from proper varieties to Brauer-Severi varieties, which generalizes the classical correspondence between morphisms to projective space and globally generated invertible sheaves. As an application, we study del Pezzo surfaces of large degree with a view towards Brauer-Severi varieties, and recover classical results on rational points, the Hasse principle, and weak approximation.
For a smooth Del Pezzo surface the direct sum of global sections of all isomorphism classes of invertible sheaves on it can be almost canonically endowed with a ring structure, called the Cox ring. We show that in characteristic 0 this ring is Gorenstein and its spectrum has rational singularities. Also a gap in math.AG/0309111 is pointed out.
We study del Pezzo varieties, higher-dimensional analogues of del Pezzo surfaces. In particular, we introduce ADE classification of del Pezzo varieties, show that in type A the dimension of non-conical del Pezzo varieties is bounded by $12 - d - r$, where $d$ is the degree and $r$ is the rank of the class group, and classify maximal del Pezzo varieties.
We address weak approximation for certain del Pezzo surfaces defined over the function field of a curve. We study the rational connectivity of the smooth locus of degree two del Pezzo surfaces with two A1 singularities in order to prove weak approximation for degree two del Pezzo surfaces with square-free discriminant.
In the present paper we completely classify locally free sheaves of rank $2$ with vanishing intermediate cohomology modules on the image of the Segre embedding $\mathbb{P}^2\times\mathbb{P}^2\subseteq\mathbb{P}^8$ and its general hyperplane sections. Such a classification extends similar already known results regarding del Pezzo varieties with Picard numbers $1$ and $3$ and dimension at least $3$.
Let k be an algebraically closed field of characteristic 0. A del Pezzo threefold F with maximal Picard number is isomorphic to P^1xP^1xP^1, where P^1 is the projective line over k. In the present paper we completely classify locally free sheaves of rank 2 with vanishing intermediate cohomology over such an F. Such a classification extends similar results proved by E. Arrondo and L. Costa regarding del Pezzo threefolds with Picard number 1.
We study del Pezzo fibrations of degree 1 with terminal singularities. A connection between singularities on del Pezzo surfaces of degree 1 and Kodaira's classification of elliptic singular fibers will be studied in this paper. By this investigation we obtain several results on birational maps of del Pezzo fibrations of degree 1 with terminal singularities.
We consider the problem of interpolating projective varieties through points and linear spaces. We show that del Pezzo surfaces satisfy weak interpolation.
We discuss the rational points on del Pezzo surface of degree 1 and 2 over any finite field $\mathbb F_q$, and give out the explicit equations of del Pezzo surfaces that have unique rational point.
We consider del Pezzo surfaces with du Val singularities. We'll prove that a del Pezzo surface $X$ with du Val singularities has a $-K_X$-polar cylinder if and only if there exist tiger such that the support of this tiger does not contain anti-canonical divisor. Also we classify all del Pezzo surfaces $X$ such that $X$ has not any cylinders.
We estimate $δ$-invariants of some singular del Pezzo surfaces with quotient singularities, which we studied ten years ago. As a result, we show that each of these surfaces admits an orbifold Kähler--Einstein metric.
We classify del Pezzo surfaces with Du Val singularities that have infinite automorphism groups, and describe the connected components of their automorphisms groups.
We classify RDP del Pezzo surfaces with global vector fields over arbitrary algebraically closed fields of characteristic $p \neq 2$. In characteristic $0$, every RDP del Pezzo surface $X$ is equivariant, that is, ${\rm Aut}_X = {\rm Aut}_{\widetilde{X}}$, where $\widetilde{X}$ is the minimal resolution of $X$, hence the classification of RDP del Pezzo surfaces with global vector fields is equivalent to the classification of weak del Pezzo surfaces with global vector fields. In this article, we show that if $p \neq 2,3,5,7$, then it is still true that every RDP del Pezzo surface is equivariant…
In this paper we prove that there are exactly two $G$-minimal surfaces which are $G$-birational to the quintic del Pezzo surface, where $G \cong C_5 \rtimes C_4$. These surfaces are the quintic del Pezzo surface itself and the surface $\mathbb{P}^1 \times \mathbb{P}^1$.
Log del Pezzo surfaces play the role of the opposite of surfaces of general type. We will completely classify all the log del Pezzo surfaces of rank 2 and Cartier index 3 with a unique singularity.
In this paper, we classify del Pezzo foliations on projective manifolds of rank at least 3 and with log canonical singularities in the sense of McQuillan.
We study admissible subcategories of derived categories of coherent sheaves on del Pezzo surfaces and rational elliptic surfaces. Using a relation between admissible subcategories and anticanonical divisors we prove the following results. First, we classify all admissible subcategories of the projective plane by showing that each is generated by a subcollection of a full exceptional collection. Second, we show that the derived categories of del Pezzo surfaces do not contain any phantom subcategories. This provides first examples of varieties of dimension larger than one that have some nontrivi…
In this paper we prove that del Pezzo fibrations admit $\mathbb{G}_{a}^{3}$-structures if and only if they are $\mathbb{P}^2$-bundles over $\mathbb{P}^{1}$.
We classify almost del Pezzo manifolds in arbitrary dimension n, i.e., projective manifolds X with big and nef anticanonical bundle -K_X, such that -K_X is divisible by n-1.
In this paper we classify nodal rational non-$\mathbb{Q}$-factorial del Pezzo threefolds of degree 2 which can be $G$-birationally rigid for some subgroup $G\subset \operatorname{Aut}(X)$.
We classify Galois actions on Picard lattices of del Pezzo surfaces of degrees 1,2, and 3 giving rise to minimal surfaces with no cohomological obstructions to stable rationality.
For a log del Pezzo surface $S$, the fractional index $r(S)\in\mathbb{Q}_{>0}$ is the maximum of $r$ with which $-K_S$ can be written as $r$ times some Cartier divisor. We classify all the log del Pezzo surfaces $S$ with $r(S)\geq 1/2$, after the technique of Nakayama.
We classify all the effective anticanonical divisors on weak del Pezzo surfaces. Through this classification we obtain the smallest number among the log canonical thresholds of effective anticanonical divisors on a given Gorenstein canonical del Pezzo surface.
