Let $X$ be a germ of holomorphic vector field at the origin of ${\bf C}^n$ and vanishing there. We assume that $X$ is a "nondegenerate" good perturbation of a singular completely integrable system. The latter is associated to a family of linear diagonal vector fields which is assumed to have nontrivial polynomial first integrals. We show that $X$ admits many invariant analytic subsets in a neighborhood of the origin. These are biholomorphic to the intersection of a polydisc with an analytic set of the form ``resonant monomials = constants". Such a biholomorphism conjugates the restriction of $X$ to one of its invariant varieties to the restriction of a linear diagonal vector field to a toric variety. Moreover, we show that the set of "frequencies" defining the invariant sets is of positive measure.
This article is concerned with the geometry of germs of real analytic surfaces in $(\mathbb{C}^2,0)$ having an isolated Cauchy-Riemann (CR) singularity at the origin. These are perturbations of {\it Bishop quadrics}. There are two kinds of CR singularities stable under perturbation~: {\it elliptic} and {\it hyperbolic}. Elliptic case was studied by Moser-Webster \cite{moser-webster} who showed that such a surface is locally, near the CR singularity, holomorphically equivalent to {\it normal form} from which lots of geometric features can be read off. In this article we focus on perturbations o…
For mechanical Hamiltonian systems on the torus, we study the dynamical properties of the generalized characteristics semiflows associated with certain Hamilton-Jacobi equations, and build the relation between the $ω$-limit set of this semiflow and the projected Aubry set.
We give a new proof of the classification of normal singular surface germs admitting non-invertible holomorphic self-maps and due to J. Wahl. We then draw an analogy between the birational classification of singular holomorphic foliations on surfaces, and the dynamics of holomorphic maps. Following this analogy, we introduce the notion of minimal holomorphic model for holomorphic maps. We give sufficient conditions which ensure the uniqueness of such a model.
Consider a complex one dimensional foliation on a complex surface near a singularity $p$. If $\mathcal{I}$ is a closed invariant set containing the singularity $p$, then $\mathcal{I}$ contains either a separatrix at $p$ or an invariant real three dimensional manifold singular at $p$.
We consider germs of holomorphic vector fields with an isolated singularity at the origin $0\in\mathbb{C}^2$. We introduce a notion of stability, similar to "Lyapunov stability". For such a germ, called $L$-stable singularity, either the corresponding foliation admits a holomorphic first integral, or it is a real logarithmic foliation singularity. A notion of $L$-stability is also naturally introduced for a leaf of a foliation. In the complex codimension one case, for holomorphic foliations, the holonomy groups of $L$-stable leaves are proved to be abelian, of a suitable type. This implies the…
The Separatrix Theorem of C. Camacho and P. Sad guarantees the existence of invariant curve (separatrix) passing through the singularity of germ of holomorphic foliation on complex surface, when the surface underlying the foliation is smooth or when it is singular and the dual graph of resolution surface singularity is a tree. Under some assumptions, we obtain existence of separatrix even when the resolution dual graph of the surface singular point is not a tree. It will be necessary to require an extra condition of the foliation, namely, absence of saddle-node in its reduction of singularitie…
We study the holonomy cocycle H of a holomorphic foliation \Fc by Riemann surfaces defined on a compact complex projective surface X satisfying the following two conditions: 1) its singularities E are all hyperbolic; 2) there is no holomorphic non-constant map \C\to X such that out of E the image of \C is locally contained in a leaf. Let T be a harmonic current tangent to \Fc which does not give mass to any invariant analytic curve. Using the leafwise Poincaré metric, we show that H is integrable with respect to T. Consequently, we infer the existence of the Lyapunov exponent function of T.
Let \Fc be a holomorphic foliation by Riemann surfaces defined on a compact complex projective surface X satisfying the following two conditions: (1) the singular points of \Fc are all hyperbolic; (2) \Fc is Brody hyperbolic. Then we establish cohomological formulas for the Lyapunov exponent and the Poincaré mass of an extremal positive \ddc-closed current tangent to \Fc. If, moreover, there is no nonzero positive closed current tangent to \Fc, then we show that the Lyapunov exponent χ(\Fc) of \Fc, which is, by definition, the Lyapunov exponent of the unique normalized positive \ddc-closed cur…
Let $\mathcal{F}$ be a singular codimension one holomorphic foliation on a compact complex manifold $X$ of dimension at least three such that its singular set has codimension at least two. In this paper, we determine Lehmann-Suwa residues of $\mathcal{F}$ as multiples of complex numbers by integration currents along irreducible complex subvarieties of $X$. We then prove a formula that determines the Baum-Bott residue of simple almost Liouvillian foliations of codimension one, in terms of Lehmann-Suwa residues, generalizing a result of Marco Brunella. As an application, we give sufficient condi…
By introducing a new invariant called the set of slidings, we give a complete strict classification of the class of germs of non-dicritical holomorphic foliations in the plan whose Camacho-Sad indices are not rational. Moreover, we will show that, in this class, the new invariant is finitely determined. Consequently, the finite determination of the class of isoholonomic non-dicritical foliations and absolutely dicritical foliations that have the same Dulac maps are proved.
We consider a singular holomorphic foliation $\uF$ defined near a compact curve $\uC$ of a complex surface. Under some hypothesis on $(\uF,\uC)$ we prove that there exists a system of tubular neighborhoods $U$ of a curve $\underline{\mc D}$ containing $\uC$ such that every leaf $L$ of $\uF_{|(U\setminus \underline{\mc D})}$ is incompressible in $U\setminus \underline{\mc D}$. We also construct a representation of the fundamental group of the complementary of $\underline{\mc D}$ into a suitable automorphism group, which allows to state the topological classification of the germ of $(\uF,\uD)$, …
This manuscript is an introduction to the theory of holomorphic foliations on the complex projective plane. Historically the subject has emerged from the theory of ODEs in the complex domain and various attempts to solve Hilbert's 16th Problem, but with the introduction of complex algebraic geometry, foliation theory and dynamical systems, it has now become an interesting subject of its own.
We show that the set of singular holomorphic foliations of the projective spaces with split tangent sheaf and with good singular set is open in the space of holomorphic foliations. As applications we present a generalization of a result by Camacho-Lins Neto about linear pull-back foliations, we give a criterium for the rigidity of $\mathcal L$-foliations of codimension $k \ge 2$ and prove a conjecture by Cerveau-Deserti about the rigidity of a codimension one $\mathcal L$-foliation of $\mathbb P^4$. These results allow us to exhibit some previously unknown irreducible components of the spaces …
Starting from some remarkable singularities of holomorphic vector fields, we construct (open) complex surfaces over which the singularities in question are realized by complete vector fields. Our constructions lead to manifolds and vector fields beyond the algebraic setting and provide examples of complete vector fields with some new dynamical phenomena.
We study analytic integrable deformations of the germ of a holomorphic foliation given by $df=0$ at the origin $0 \in \mathbb C^n, n \geq 3$. We consider the case where $f$ is a germ of an irreducible and reduced holomorphic function. Our central hypotheses is that, {\em outside of a dimension $\leq n-3$ analytic subset $Y\subset X$, the analytic hypersurface $X_f : (f=0)$ has only normal crossings singularities}. We then prove that, as germs, such deformations also exhibit a holomorphic first integral, depending analytically on the parameter of the deformation. This applies to the study of in…
We are interested in analytic singular Poisson structures with a non zero linear part at the singularity. Using recent work of the author about holomorphic normalization of commutative familly of singular vector fields, we obtain results about normalization of holomorphic Poisson structures.

We prove that for any holomorphic map, and any bounded orbit which does not accumulate to a singular set or to an attracting cycle, its lower Lyapunov exponent is non-negative. The same result holds for unbounded orbits, for maps with a bounded singular set. Furthermore, the orbit may accumulate to infinity or to a singular set, as long as it is slow enough.
In this work, we begin by showing that a holomorphic foliation with singularities is reduced if and only if its normal sheaf is torsion free. In addition, when the codimension of the singular locus is at least two, it is shown that being reduced is equivalent to the reflexivity of the tangent sheaf. Our main results state on one hand, that the tangent sheaf of a codimension one foliation in P^3 is locally free if and only the singular scheme is a curve, and that it splits if and only if that curve is arithmetically Cohen-Macaulay. On the other hand, we discuss when a split foliation in P^3 is …
We consider closed positive currents invariant by a singular holomorphic foliation on an algebraic surface. We show that under some conditions the foliation must leave invariant an algebraic curve.
This paper is about the integrability of complex vector fields in dimension three in a neighborhood of a singular point. More precisely, we study the existence of holomorphic first integrals for isolated singularities of holomorphic vector fields in complex dimension three, pursuing the discussion started in \cite{CaSc2009}. Under generic conditions, we prove a topological criteria for the existence of a holomorphic first integral. Our result may be seen as a kind of Reeb stability result for the framework of vector fields singularities in complex dimension three. As a consequence, we prove th…
One of the various versions of the classical Lyapunov-Poincaré center theorem states that a nondegenerate real analytic center type planar vector field singularity admits an analytic first integral. In a more proof of this result, R. Moussu establishes important connection between this result and the theory of singularities of holomorphic foliations (\cite{moussu}). In this paper we consider generalizations for two main frameworks: (i) planar real analytic vector fields with "many" periodic orbits near the singularity and (ii) germs of holomorphic foliations having a suitable singularity in di…
The aim of this article is twofold: First we study holomorphic germs of parabolic diffeomorphisms of $(\mathbb{C}^2,0)$ that are reversed by a holomorphic reflection and posses an analytic first integral with non-degenerate critical point at the origin. We find a canonical formal normal form and provide a complete analytic classification (in formal generic cases) in terms of a collection of functional invariants. Their restriction to an irreductible component of the zero locus of the first integral reduces to the Birkhoff--Écalle--Voronin modulus of the 1-dimensional restricted parabolic germ.…
In this paper we study bilipschitz equivalences of germs of holomorphic foliations in $(\mathbb{C}^2,0)$. We prove that the algebraic multiplicity of a singularity is invariant by such equivalences. Moreover, for a large class of singularities, we show that the projective holonomy representation is also a bilipschitz invariant.
We study the behaviour (in the infinitesimal neighbourhood of the singularity) of a singular plane branch under the action of holomorphic flows. The techniques we develop provide a new elementary, geometric and dynamical solution to Zariski's moduli problem for singular branches in $({\mathbb C}^{2},0)$. Furthermore, we study whether elements of the same class of analytic conjugacy are conjugated by a holomorphic flow; in particular we show that there exists an analytic class that is not complete: meaning that there are two elements of the class that are not analytically conjugated by a local …
We prove a general theorem on the persistence of Whitney infinitely smooth families of invariant tori in the reversible context 2 of KAM theory. This context refers to the situation where dim Fix G < (codim T)/2 where Fix G is the fixed point manifold of the reversing involution G and T is the invariant torus in question. Our result is obtained as a corollary of the theorem by H.W.Broer, M.-C.Ciocci, H.Hanssmann, and A.Vanderbauwhede of 2009 concerning quasi-periodic stability of invariant tori with singular "normal" matrices in reversible systems.
We first generalize a classical iteration formula for one variable holomorphic mappings to a formula for higher dimensional holomorphic mappings. Then, as an application, we give a short and intuitive proof of a classical theorem, due to H. Poincaré, for the condition under which a singularity of a holomorphic vector field is an isochronous center.
We study a special kind of local invariant sets of singular holomorphic foliations called nodal separators. We define notions of equisingularity and topological equivalence for nodal separators as intrinsic objects and, in analogy with the celebrated theorem of Zariski for analytic curves, we prove the equivalence of these notions. We give some applications in the study of topological equivalences of holomorphic foliations. In particular, we show that the nodal singularities and its eigenvalues in the resolution of a generalized curve are topological invariants.
Let $\mathcal F$ be a holomorphic foliation on a compact Káhler surface with hyperbolic singularities and no foliation cycle. We prove that if the limit set of $\mathcal F$ has zero Lebesgue measure, then its complement is a modification of a Stein domain. The proof consists in building, in several steps, a metric of positive curvature for the normal bundle of $\mathcal F$ near the limit set. Then we construct a proper strictly plurisubharmonic exhaustion function for the complement of the limit set, by adapting Brunella's ideas to our singular context. The arguments hold more generally when t…
We extend Balser-Kostov method of studying summability properties of a singularly perturbed inhomogeneous linear system with regular singularity at origin to nonlinear systems of the form \varepsilon zf^{\prime} = F(\varepsilon,z,f) with F a \mathbb{C}^ν-valued function, holomorphic in a polydisc \bar{D}_ρ\times \bar{D}_ρ\times \bar{D}_ρ^ν. We show that its unique formal solution in power series of \varepsilon, whose coefficients are holomorphic functions of z, is 1-summable under a Siegal-type condition on the eigenvalues of F_{f}(0,0,0). The estimates employed resemble the ones used in KAM t…
In this work, we study dominant rational maps preserving singular holomorphic codimension one foliations on projective manifolds and that exhibit non-trivial transverse dynamics.
We prove that a singular complex surface that admits a complete holomorphic vector field that has no invariant curve through a singular point of the surface is obtained from a Kato surface by contracting some divisor (in particular, it is compact). We also prove that, in a singular Stein surface endowed with a complete holomorphic vector field, a singular point of the surface where the zeroes of the vector field do not accumulate is either a quasihomogeneous or a cyclic quotient singularity. The proofs rely in a combinatorial description of the vector field on a resolution of the singular poin…
In this paper we study the dynamics of a holomorphic vector field near a singular point in dimension two using asymptotic expansion techniques. We consider a holomorphic vector field admitting first integrals in small sectors with nonzero asymptotic expansion. Under some natural hypotheses we prove the existence of a holomorphic first integral.
This note presents a method to study center families of periodic orbits of complex holomorphic differential equations near singularities, based on some iteration properties of fixed point indices. As an application of this method, we will prove Needham's theorem in a more general version.
