We study those smooth complex hypersurfaces W in C^n having the property that all holomorphic functions of finite weighted L^p norm on W extend to entire functions with finite weighted L^p norm. Such hypersurfaces are called interpolation hypersurfaces. We also examine the dual problem of finding all sampling hypersurfaces, i.e., smooth hypersurfaces W in C^n such that any entire function with finite weighted L^p norm is stably determined by its restriction to W.
We provide sufficient geometric conditions on the hypersurface to be an interpolation and sampling hypersurface. The geometric conditions that imply the extension property and the restriction property are given in terms of some directional densities.
In this paper we consider the zeros of the Bergman kernel of the Fock-Bargmann-Hartogs domain $D_{n,m}$. We describe how the existence of zeros of the Bergman kernel depends on the integers $m$ and $n$ with the help of the interlacing property.
A generalized Fock-Bargmann-Hartogs domain $D_n^{\mathbf{m},\mathbf{p}}$ is defined as a domain fibered over $\mathbb{C}^{n}$ with the fiber over $z\in \mathbb{C}^{n}$ being a generalized complex ellipsoid $Σ_z({\mathbf{m},\mathbf{p}})$. In general, a generalized Fock-Bargmann-Hartogs domain is an unbounded non-hyperbolic domains without smooth boundary. The main contribution of this paper is as follows. By using the explicit formula of Bergman kernels of the generalized Fock-Bargmann-Hartogs domains, we obtain the rigidity results of proper holomorphic mappings between two equidimensional gen…
We introduce new classes of right quaternionic Hilbert spaces of Bargmann-Fock type $\mathcal{GB}_{m}^{2}(\mathbb{H})$, labeled by nonnegative integer $m$, generalizing the so-called slice hyperholomorphic Bargmann-Fock space introduced recently by Alpay, Colombo, Sabadini and Salomon (2014). They are realized as $L^2$-eigenspaces of a sliced second order differential operator. The concrete description of these spaces is investigated and involves the so-called quaternionic Hermite polynomials. Their basic properties are discussed and the explicit formulae of their reproducing kernels are given…
In this paper we introduce the classical Segal-Bargmann transform starting from the basis of Hermite polynomials and extend it to Clifford algebra-valued functions. Then we apply the results to monogenic functions and prove that the Segal-Bargmann kernel corresponds to the kernel of the Fourier-Borel transform for monogenic functionals. This kernel is also the reproducing kernel for the monogenic Bargmann module.
In this paper, we study the Bergman kernel $B_φ(x,y)$ of generalized Bargmann-Fock spaces in the setting of Clifford algebra. The versions of $L^2$-estimate method and weighted subharmonic inequality for Clifford algebra are established. Consequently we show the existence of $B_φ(x,y)$ and then give some estimates on and off the diagonal. As a by-product, we also obtain an upper estimate of the weighted harmonic Bergman kernel.
This paper deals with some special integral transforms of Bargmann-Fock type in the setting of quaternionic valued slice hyperholomorphic and Cauchy-Fueter regular functions. The construction is based on the well-known Fueter mapping theorem. In particular, starting with the normalized Hermite functions we can construct an Appell system of quaternionic regular polynomials. The ranges of such integral transforms are quaternionic reproducing kernel Hilbert spaces of regular functions. New integral representations and generating functions in this quaternionic setting are obtained in both the Fock…
We introduce and discuss some basic properties of some integral transforms in the framework of specific functional Hilbert spaces, the holomorphic Bargmann-Fock spaces on $\mathbb{C}$ and $\mathbb{C}^2$ and the slice hyperholomorphic Bargmann-Fock space on $\mathbb{H}$. The first one is a natural integral transform mapping isometrically the standard Hilbert space on the real line into the two-dimensional Bargmann-Fock space. It is obtained as composition of the one and two dimensional Segal-Bargmann transforms and reduces further to an extremely integral operator that looks like a composition …
We establish sufficient conditions for extension of weighted square integrable holomorphic functions from a possibly singular hypersurface to the ambient affine space. The norms we use are the so-called Bargmann-Fock norms, and thus there are restrictions on the singularities and the density of the hypersurface. Our sufficient conditions are that it has density less than 1, and is uniformly flat in a sense that extends to singular varieties the notion of uniform flatness introduced earlier. We present an example of Ohsawa showing that uniform flatness is not necessary for extension in the sing…
In this paper we consider the distribution of the zeros of a real random Bargmann-Fock function of one or more variables. For these random functions we prove estimates for two types of families of events, both of which are large deviations from the mean. First, we prove that the probability there are no zeros in $[-r,r]^m\subset\R^m$ decays at least exponentially in terms of $r^m$. For this event we also prove a lower bound on the order of decay, which we do not expect to be sharp. Secondly, we compute the order of decay for the probability of families of events where the volume of the complex…
We deal with the $(\mathbb{Z}ω, χ)$-theta Fock-Bargmann space consisting of holomorphic automorphic functions associated to given discrete subgroup in $\mathbb{C}^g$ of rank one and given character $χ$. We give concrete description of its elements, it looks like a tensor product of a theta Fock-Bargmann space on the complex plane $\mathbb{C}$ and the classical Fock-Bargmann space on $\mathbb{C}^{g-1}$. Moreover, we construct an orthonormal basis and we give explicit expression of its reproducing kernel function in terms of Riemann theta function.
The Fock-Bargmann-Hartogs domain $D_{n, m}(μ)$ is defined by $$ D_{n, m}(μ):=\{(z, w)\in\mathbb{C}^{n}\times\mathbb{C}^m:\Vert w \Vert^2<e^{-μ\Vert z \Vert^2}\},$$ where $μ>0.$ The Fock-Bargmann-Hartogs domain $D_{n, m}(μ)$ is an unbounded strongly pseudoconvex domain with smooth real-analytic boundary. In this paper, we first compute the weighted Bergman kernel of $D_{n, m}(μ)$ with respect to the weight $(-ρ)^α$, where $ρ(z,w):=\|w\|^2-e^{-μ\|z\|^2}$ is a defining function for $D_{n, m}(μ)$ and $α>-1$. Then, for $p\in [1,\infty),$ we show that the corresponding weighted Bergman projection $P…
We characterize linear operators preserving zero-restrictions on entire functions in weighted Bargmann-Fock spaces. The characterization extends previous results of J. Borcea and the author to the realm of entire functions, and translates into an optimal, albeit formal, Lee-Yang theorem.
The Fock-Bargmann-Hartogs domain $D_{n,m}$ in $\mathbb{C}^{n+m}$ is defined by the inequality $\|w\|^2<e^{-\|z\|^2},$ where $(z,w)\in \mathbb{C}^n\times \mathbb{C}^m$, which is an unbounded non-hyperbolic domain in $\mathbb{C}^{n+m}$. This paper mainly consists of three parts. Firstly, we give the explicit expression of geodesics of $D_{n,1}$ in the sense of Kobayashi pseudometric; Secondly, using the formula of geodesics, we calculate explicitly the Kobayashi pseudometric on $D_{1,1}$; Lastly, we establish the Schwarz lemma at the boundary for holomorphic mappings between the nonequidimension…
We give a complete description of sampling and interpolation in the Bargmann-Fock space, based on a density concept of Beurling. Roughly speaking, a discrete set is a set of sampling if and only if its density in every part of the plane is strictly larger than that of the von Neumann lattice, and similarly, a discrete set is a set of interpolation if and only if its density in every part of the plane is strictly smaller than that of the von Neumann lattice.
Generating functions for the univariate complex Hermite polynomials (UCHP) are employed to introduce some non-trivial one and two-dimensional integral transforms of Segal-Bargmann type in the framework of specific functional Hilbert spaces. The approach used is issued from the coherent states framework. Basic properties of these transforms are studied. Connection to some special known transforms like Fourier and Wigner transforms is established. The first transform is a two-dimensional Segal-Bargmann transform whose kernel is related the exponential generating function of the UCHP. The second …
We give an alternate proof of the existence of the asymptotic expansion of the Bergman kernel associated to the $k$-th tensor powers of a positive line bundle $L$ in a $\frac{1}{\sqrt{k}}$-neighborhood of the diagonal using elementary methods. We use the observation that after rescaling the Kähler potential $kφ$ in a $\frac{1}{\sqrt{k}}$-neighborhood of a given point, the potential becomes an asymptotic perturbation of the Bargmann-Fock metric. We then prove that the Bergman kernel is also an asymptotic perturbation of the Bargmann-Fock Bergman kernel.
The Bargmann-Fock space of slice hyperholomorphic functions is recently introduced by Alpay, Colombo, Sabadini and Salomon. In this paper, we reconsider this space and present a direct proof of its independence of the slice. We also introduce a quaternionic analogue of the classical Segal-Bargmann transform and discuss some of its basic properties. The explicit expression of its inverse is obtained and the connection to the left one-dimensional quaternionic Fourier transform is given.
We introduce and study the Hilbert space of $(L^2,Γ,χ)$-likewise theta functions on $\mathbb{R}^d$ with respect to a given discrete subgroup $Γ$ of arbitrary rank and a character $χ$ of $Γ$. A concrete description is given and an orthonormal basis is then constructed. Its range by the classical Segal-Bargmann transform is also characterized and leads to the so-called theta-Bargmann Fock space.
The relationship between interpolation and separation properties of hypersurfaces in Bargmann-Fock spaces over $\mathbb{C} ^n$ is not well-understood except for $n=1$. We present four examples of smooth affine algebraic hypersurfaces that are not uniformly flat, and show that exactly two of them are interpolating.
The Fock-Bargmann-Hartogs domain $D_{n,m}(μ)$ ($μ>0$) in $\mathbb{C}^{n+m}$ is defined by the inequality $\|w\|^2<e^{-μ\|z\|^2},$ where $(z,w)\in \mathbb{C}^n\times \mathbb{C}^m$, which is an unbounded non-hyperbolic domain in $\mathbb{C}^{n+m}$. This paper introduces a Kähler metric $αg(μ;ν)$ $(α>0)$ on $D_{n,m}(μ)$, where $g(μ;ν)$ is the Kähler metric associated with the Kähler potential $Φ(z,w):=μν{\Vert z\Vert}^{2}-\ln(e^{-μ{\Vert z\Vert}^{2}}-\Vert w\Vert^2)$ ($ν>-1$) on $D_{n,m}(μ)$. The purpose of this paper is twofold. Firstly, we obtain an explicit formula for the Bergman kernel of th…
We introduce new functional spaces that generalize the weighted Bergman and Dirichlet spaces on the disk D(0,R) in the complex plane and the Bargmann-Fock spaces on the whole complex plane. We give a complete description of the considered spaces. Mainly, we are interested in giving explicit formulas for their reproducing kernel functions and their asymptotic behavior as R goes to infinity.
Fedosov used flat sections of the Weyl bundle on a symplectic manifold to construct a star product $\star$ which gives rise to a deformation quantization. By extending Fedosov's method, we give an explicit, analytic construction of a sheaf of Bargmann-Fock modules over the Weyl bundle of a Kähler manifold $X$ equipped with a compatible Fedosov abelian connection, and show that the sheaf of flat sections forms a module sheaf over the sheaf of deformation quantization algebras defined $(C^\infty_X[[\hbar]], \star)$. This sheaf can be viewed as the $\hbar$-expansion of $L^{\otimes k}$ as $k \to \…
The Fock-Bargmann-Hartogs domain $D_{n,m}(μ)$ ($μ>0$) in $\mathbf{C}^{n+m}$ is defined by the inequality $\|w\|^2<e^{-μ\|z\|^2},$ where $(z,w)\in \mathbf{C}^n\times \mathbf{C}^m$, which is an unbounded non-hyperbolic domain in $\mathbf{C}^{n+m}$. Recently, Yamamori gave an explicit formula for the Bergman kernel of the Fock-Bargmann-Hartogs domains in terms of the polylogarithm functions and Kim-Ninh-Yamamori determined the automorphism group of the domain $D_{n,m}(μ)$. In this article, we obtain rigidity results on proper holomorphic mappings between two equidimensional Fock-Bargmann-Hartogs …
We discuss Toeplitz operators on the Segal-Bargmann space as functional realizations of anti-Wick operators on the Fock space. In the special case of radial symbols we exploit the isometric mapping between the Segal-Bargmann space and $l^2$ complex sequences in order to establish conditions such that an equivalence between Toeplitz operators and diagonal operators on $l^2$ holds. We also analyze the inverse problem of mapping diagonal operators on $l^2$ into Toeplitz form. The composition problem of Toeplitz operators with radial symbols is reviewed as an application. Our notation and basic ex…
Theorems about characterization of finite rank Toeplitz operators in Fock-Segal-Bargmann spaces, known previously only for symbols with compact support, are carried over to symbols without that restriction, however with a rather rapid decay at infinity. The proof is based upon a new version of the Stone-Weierstrass approximation theorem.
We introduce an extended class of cross-Toeplitz operators which act between Fock--Segal--Bargmann spaces with different weights. It is natural to consider these operators in the framework of representation theory of the Heisenberg group. Our main technique is representation of cross-Toeplitz by two-sided relative convolutions from the Heisenberg group. In turn, two-sided convolutions are reduced to usual (one-sided) convolutions on the Heisenberg group of the doubled dimensionality. This allows us to utilise the powerful group-representation technique of coherent states, co- and contra-varian…
We show that under mild conditions, a Gaussian analytic function $\boldsymbol F$ that a.s. does not belong to a given weighted Bergman space or Bargmann-Fock space has the property that a.s. no non-zero function in that space vanishes where $\boldsymbol F$ does. This establishes a conjecture of Shapiro (1979) on Bergman spaces and allows us to resolve a question of Zhu (1993) on Bargmann-Fock spaces. We also give a similar result on the union of two (or more) such zero sets, thereby establishing another conjecture of Shapiro (1979) on Bergman spaces and allowing us to strengthen a result of Zh…
In this paper we study the compactness of operators on the Bergman space of the unit ball and on very generally weighted Bargmann-Fock spaces in terms of the behavior of their Berezin transforms and the norms of the operators acting on reproducing kernels. In particular, in the Bergman space setting we show how a vanishing Berezin transform combined with certain (integral) growth conditions on an operator $T$ are sufficient to imply that the operator is compact. In the weighted Bargmann-Fock space setting we show that the reproducing kernel thesis for compactness holds for operators satisfying…
The Segal-Bargmann transform plays an essential role in signal processing, quantum physics, infinite-dimensional analysis, function theory and further topics. The connection to signal processing is the short-time Fourier transform, which can be used to describe the Segal-Bargmann transform. The classical Segal-Bargmann transform $\mathcal{B}$ maps a square-integrable function to a holomorphic function square-integrable with respect to a Gaussian identity. In signal processing terms, a signal from the position space $L_2(\mathbb{R}^m,\mathbb{R})$ is mapped to the phase space of wave functions, …
In this paper we introduce and study some basic properties of the Fock space (also known as Segal-Bargmann space) in the slice hyperholomorphic setting. We discuss both the case of slice regular functions over quaternions and also the case of slice monogenic functions with values in a Clifford algebra. In the specific setting of quaternions, we also introduce the full Fock space. This paper can be seen as the beginning of the study of infinite dimensional analysis in the quaternionic setting.
We give criteria for products of Toeplitz and Hankel operators on the Fock (Segal-Bargmann) space to belong to the Dixmier class, and compute their Dixmier trace. At the same time, analogous results for the Weyl pseudodifferential operators are also obtained.
We are interested in the $L^2$-holomorphic automorphic functions on a $g$-dimensional complex space $V^g_{\mathbb{C}}$ endowed with a positive definite hermitian form and associated to isotropic discrete subgroups $Γ$ of rank $2\leq r \leq g$. We show that they form an infinite reproducing kernel Hilbert space which looks like a tensor product of a theta Fock-Bargmann space on $V^{r}_{\mathbb{C}}=Span_{\mathbb{C}}(Γ)$ and the classical Fock-Bargmann space on $V^{g-r}_{\mathbb{C}}$. Moreover, we provide an explicit orthonormal basis using Fourier series and we give the expression of its reprodu…
We prove that for every radial weighted Fock space, the system biorthogonal to a complete and minimal system of reproducing kernels is also complete under very mild regularity assumptions on the weight. This result generalizes a theorem by Young on reproducing kernels in the Paley--Wiener space and a recent result of Belov for the classical Bargmann--Segal--Fock space.
In this paper we introduce and study a two-parameter family of integral operators on the Fock space $F^2(C)$. We determine exactly when these operators are bounded and when they are unitary. We show that, under the Bargmann transform, these operators include the classical linear canonical transforms as special cases. As an application, we obtain a new unitary projective representation for the special linear group $SL(2,R)$ on the Fock space.
It was known to von Neumann in the 1950's that the integer lattice $\mathbb{Z}^2$ forms a uniqueness set for the Bargmann-Fock space. It was later demonstrated by Seip and Wallstén that a sequence of points $Γ$ that is uniformly close to the integer lattice is still a uniqueness set. We show in this paper that the uniqueness sets for the Fock space are preserved under much more general perturbations.
We consider the reproducing kernel function of the theta Bargmann-Fock Hilbert space associated to given full-rank lattice and pseudo-character, and we deal with some of its analytical and arithmetical properties. Specially, the distribution and discreteness of its zeros are examined and analytic sets inside a product of fundamental cells is characterized and shown to be finite and of cardinal less or equal to the dimension of the theta Bargmann-Fock Hilbert space. Moreover, we obtain some remarkable lattice sums by evaluating the so-called complex Hermite-Taylor coefficients. Some of them gen…
We consider a certain Hartogs domain which is related to the Fock-Bargmann space. We give an explicit formula for the Bergman kernel of the domain in terms of the polylogarithm functions. Moreover we solve the Lu Qi-Keng problem of the domain in some cases.
In this paper we determine the automorphism group of the Fock-Bargmann-Hartogs domain $D_{n,m}$ in $\mathbb{C}^n\times\mathbb{C}^m$ which is defined by the inequality ${\|ζ\|}^2<e^{-μ{\|z\|}^2}$.
Gabor frames with Hermite functions are equivalent to sampling sequences in true Fock spaces of polyanalytic functions. In the L^2-case, such an equivalence follows from the unitarity of the polyanalytic Bargmann transform. We will introduce Banach spaces of polyanalytic functions and investigate the mapping properties of the polyanalytic Bargmann transform on modulation spaces. By applying the theory of coorbit spaces and localized frames to the Fock representation of the Heisenberg group, we derive explicit polyanalytic sampling theorems which can be seen as a polyanalytic version of the lat…
We give a general method to obtain from the integral restrictions of functions sharp pointwise and uniform estimates of these functions. This scheme is illustrated by the examples for Fock\,--\,Bargmann spaces of entire functions of several variables and Bergman spaces in balls and polydiscs.
Continuing our earlier investigation of the Hermite case [J. Math. Phys. 55 (2014), 042102], we study an unorthodox variant of the Berezin-Toeplitz quantization scheme associated with Laguerre polynomials. In particular, we describe a "Laguerre analogue" of the classical Fock (Segal-Bargmann) space and the relevant semi-classical asymptotics of its Toeplitz operators; the former actually turns out to coincide with the Hilbert space appearing in the construction of the well-known Barut-Girardello coherent states. Further extension to the case of Legendre polynomials is likewise discussed.
In this paper we introduce reproducing kernel Hilbert spaces of polyanalytic functions of infinite order. First we study in details the counterpart of the Fock space and related results in this framework. In this case the kernel function is given by $\displaystyle e^{z\overline{w}+\overline{z}w}$ which can be connected to kernels of polyanalytic Fock spaces of finite order. Segal-Bargmann and Berezin type transforms are also considered in this setting. Then, we study the reproducing kernel Hilbert spaces of complex-valued functions with reproducing kernel $\displaystyle\frac{1}{(1-z\overline{w…
The Bargmann-Fock-Segal space plays an important role in mathematical physics, and has been extended into a number of directions. In the present paper we imbed this space into a Gelfand triple. The spaces forming the Fréchet part (i.e. the space of test functions) of the triple are characterized both in a geometric way and in terms of the adjoint of multiplication by the complex variable, using the Stirling numbers of the second kind. The dual of the space of test functions has a topological algebra structure, of the kind introduced and studied by the first named author and G. Salomon.
The well know conjecture of {\it Coburn} [{\it L.A. Coburn, {On the Berezin-Toeplitz calculus}, Proc. Amer. Math. Soc. 129 (2001) 3331-3338.}] proved by {\it Lo} [{\it M-L. Recently, Tu-Wang obtained the rigidity result that proper holomorphic self-mappings of $D_{n,m}(μ)$ are automorphisms for $m\geq 2$, and found a counter-example to show that the rigidity result isn't true for $D_{n,1}(μ)$. In this article, we obtain a classification of proper holomorphic mappings between $D_{n,1}(μ)$ and $D_{N,1}(μ)$ with $N<2n$.
The aim of the present paper is three folds. Firstly, we complete the study of the weighted hyperholomorphic Bergman space of the second kind on the ball of radius $R$ centred at the origin. The explicit expression of its Bergman kernel is given and can be written in terms of special hypergeometric functions of two non-commuting (quaternionic) variables. Secondly, we introduce and study some basic properties of an associated integral transform, the quaternionic analogue of the so-called second Bargmann transform for the holomorphic Bergman space. Finally, we establish the asymptotic behavior a…
We give a general construction of entire functions in $d$ complex variables that vanish on a lattice of the form $L = A (Z + i Z )^d$ for an invertible complex-valued matrix. As an application we exhibit a class of lattices of density >1 that fail to be a sampling set for the Bargmann-Fock space in $C ^2$. By using an equivalent real-variable formulation, we show that these lattices fail to generate a Gabor frame.
For any Hermitian Lie group $G$ of tube type we give a geometric quantization procedure of certain $K_{\mathbb{C}}$-orbits in $\mathfrak{p}_{\mathbb{C}}^*$ to obtain all scalar type highest weight representations. Here $K_{\mathbb{C}}$ is the complexification of a maximal compact subgroup $K\subseteq G$ with corresponding Cartan decomposition $\mathfrak{g}=\mathfrak{k}+\mathfrak{p}$ of the Lie algebra of $G$. We explicitly realize every such representation $π$ on a Fock space consisting of square integrable holomorphic functions on its associated variety $Ass(π)\subseteq\mathfrak{p}_{\mathbb{C…
We find sufficient conditions for a discrete sequence to be interpolating or sampling for certain generalized Bergman spaces on open Riemann surfaces. As in previous work of Bendtsson, Ortega-Cerda, Seip, Wallsten and others, our conditions for interpolation and sampling are as follows: If a certain upper density of the sequence has value less that 1, then the sequence is interpolating, while if a certain lower density has value greater than 1, then the sequence is sampling. However, unlike previous work, we construct an infinite number of densities, naturally parameterized by $L^1_{loc} ([0,\…
