Let ${\cal Z}_1(s) = \int_1^\infty |ζ({1\over2}+ix)|^2x^{-s}{\rm d}x (σ= \Re s > 1)$. A result concerning analytic continuation of ${\cal Z}_1(s)$ to $\bf C$ is proved, and also a result relating the order of ${\cal Z}_1(σ+ it) (1/2 \le σ\le 1, t\ge t_0)$ to the order of ${\cal Z}_1({1\over2}+it)$.
A key theorem formulated in the context of functional Mellin transforms generalizes the important relationship $\exp\mathrm{tr} M=\det\exp M$. Along with the involution symmetry of the zeta function, the theorem suggests a strategy for tackling the Riemann hypothesis.
The aim of our present work here is to present few results in the theory of Mellin transforms using the method that S. Ramanujan used in proving his Master Theorem. Further applications of our results for some number-theoretic functions such as the prime counting function and the zeta function are established.
The modified Mellin transform ${\cal Z}_k(s) = \int_1^\infty |ζ(1/2+ix)|^{2k}x^{-s}{\rm d} x (k = 1,2,...)$ is investigated. Analytic continuation and mean square estimates of ${\cal Z}_k(s) $ are discussed, as well as connections with power moments of $|ζ(1/2+ix)|$, with the special emphasis on the cases $k = 1,2$.
This paper gives a survey of known results concerning the Laplace transform $$ L_k(s) := \int_0^\infty |ζ(1/2+ ix)|^{2k}{\rm e}^{-sx}{\rm d} x \qquad(k \in N, \R s > 0), $$ and the (modified) Mellin transform $$ {\cal Z}_k(s) := \int_1^\infty|ζ(1/2+ ix)|^{2k}x^{-s}{\rm d} x\qquad(k\in N), $$ where the integral is absolutely convergent for $\R s \ge c(k) > 1$. Also some new results on these integral transforms of $|ζ(1/2+ ix)|^{2k}$ are given, which have important connections with power moments of the Riemann zeta-function $ζ(s)$.
The relationship between the Ohno relation and multiple polylogarithms are discussed. Using this relationship, the algebraic reduction of the Ohno relation is given.
Following the Mellin and inverse Mellin transform techniques presented in our paper arXiv:1606.02150 (NT), we have established close forms of Laurent series expansions of products of bi- and trigamma functions /psi(z)*/psi(-z) and /psi_(1)(z)*/psi_(1)(-z). These series were used to find summation rules which include generalized harmonic numbers of first, second and third powers and values of the Riemann zeta-functions at integers / Bernoulli numbers, for example 2*Sum_(k-1)^(infinity)(H_(k)^((2))/k^3)=6*/zeta(2)*/zeta(3)-9*/zeta(5). Some of these rules were tested numerically.
We give explicit expressions (or at least an algorithm of obtaining such expressions) of the coefficients of the Laurent series expansions of the Euler-Zagier multiple zeta-functions at any integer points. The main tools are the Mellin-Barnes integral formula and the harmonic product formulas. The Mellin-Barnes integral formula is used in the induction process on the number of variables, and the harmonic product formula is used to show that the Laurent series expansion outside the domain of convergence can be obtained from that inside the domain of convergence.
The Riemann zeta identity at even integers of Lettington, along with his other Bernoulli and zeta relations, are generalized. Other corresponding recurrences and determinant relations are illustrated. Another consequence is the application to sums of double zeta values. A set of identities for the Ramanujan and generalized Ramanujan polynomials is presented. An alternative proof of Lettington's identity is provided, together with its generalizations to the Hurwitz and Lerch zeta functions, hence to Dirichlet $L$ series, to Eisenstein series, and to general Mellin transforms. The Hurwitz number…
For a complex variable $s$ and real parameters $a$ and $λ$ with $a>0$, let $ϕ(s,a,λ)$ denote the Lerch zeta-function with a complex variable, $ϕ^{\ast}(s,a,λ)$ a slight modification of $ϕ(s,a,λ)$ defined by extracting the (possible) singularity of $ϕ(s,a,λ)$ at $s=1$, and $(ϕ^{\ast})^{(m)}(s,a,λ)$ for any $m\in\mathbb{Z}$ the $m$th derivative with respect to $s$ if $m\geq0$, while if $m\leq0$ the $|m|$-th primitive defined with its initial point at $s+\infty$. The present paper aims to study asymptotic aspects of $(ϕ^{\ast})^{(m)}(s,a,λ)$, transformed through the Laplace-Mellin and Riemann-Lio…
We give a representation of the classical Riemann $ζ$-function in the half plane $\Re s>0$ in terms of a Mellin transform involving the real part of the dilogarithm function with an argument on the unit circle (associated Clausen $Gl_2$-function). We also derive corresponding representations involving the derivatives of the $Gl_2$-function. A generalized symmetrized Müntz-type formula is also derived. For a special choice of test functions it connects to our integral representation of the $ζ$-function, providing also a computation of a concrete Mellin transform. Certain formulae involving seri…
We say that a function f defined on R or Qp has a well defined weak Mellin transform (or weak zeta integral) if there exists some function $M\_f(s)$ so that we have $Mell(ϕ\star f,s) = Mell(ϕ,s)M\_f(s)$ for all test functions $ϕ$ in $C\_c^\infty(R^*)$ or $C\_c^\infty(Q\_p^*)$. We show that if $f$ is a non degenerate second degree character on R or Qp, as defined by Weil, then the weak Mellin transform of $f$ satisfies a functional equation and cancels only for $\Re(s) = 1/2$. We then show that if $f$ is a non degenerate second degree character defined on the adele ring $A\_Q$, the same stateme…
In this paper, we evaluate archimedean zeta integrals for automorphic $L$-functions on $GL_n \times GL_{n-1+\ell}$ and on $ SO_{2n+1} \times GL_{n+\ell}$, for $\ell=-1$, $0$, and $1$. In each of these cases, the zeta integrals in question may be expressed as Mellin transforms of products of class one Whittaker functions. Here, we obtain explicit expressions for these Mellin transforms in terms of Gamma functions and Barnes integrals.
Various properties of the Mellin transform function $$ {\cal M}_k(s) := \int_1^\infty Z^k(x)x^{-s}dx $$ are investigated, where $$ Z(t) := ζ(1/2+it){\bigl(χ(1/2+it)\bigr)}^{-1/2}, \quad ζ(s) = χ(s)ζ(1-s) $$ is Hardy's function and $ζ(s)$ is Riemann's zeta-function. Connections with power moments of $|ζ(1/2+it)|$ are established, and natural boundaries of ${\cal M}_k(s)$ are discussed.
We study the behavior of partially twisted multiple zeta-functions. We give new closed and explicit formulas for special values at non-positive integer points of such zeta-functions. Our method is based on a result of M. de Crisenoy on the fully twisted case and the Mellin-Barnes integral formula.
Using elementary methods we find surprising connections between the values of the Riemann Zeta Function over integers and the fractional parts of rational powers, and a connection between the Riemann Zeta Function and the Prime Zeta Function.
The number of zeros and the distribution of the real part of non-real zeros of the derivatives of the Riemann zeta function have been investigated by Berndt, Levinson, Montgomery, and Akatsuka. Berndt, Levinson, and Montgomery investigated the general case, meanwhile Akatsuka gave sharper estimates for the first derivative of the Riemann zeta function under the truth of the Riemann hypothesis. In this paper, we extend the results of Akatsuka to the second derivative of the Riemann zeta function.
In this article we compute a discrete mean value of the derivative of the Riemann zeta function. This mean value will be important for several applications concerning the size of $ζ'(ρ)$ where $ζ(s)$ is the Riemann zeta function and $ρ$ is a non-trivial zero of the Riemann zeta function.
We show that the generalized Riemann hypothesis implies that there are infinitely many consecutive zeros of the Riemann zeta function whose spacing is 2.9125 times larger than the average spacing. This is deduced from the calculation of the second moment of the Riemann zeta function multiplied by a Dirichlet polynomial averaged over the zeros of the zeta function.
In this article, we establish an asymptotic formula for the eighth moment of the Riemann zeta function, assuming the Riemann hypothesis and a quaternary additive divisor conjecture. This builds on the work of the first author on the sixth moment of the Riemann zeta function and work of Conrey-Gonek and Ivić. A key input is a sharp bound for a certain shifted moment of the Riemann zeta function, assuming the Riemann hypothesis.
Assuming the Riemann Hypothesis we show that there exist infinitely many consecutive zeros of the Riemann zeta-function whose gaps are greater than 2.9 times the average spacing.
Assuming the Generalized Riemann Hypothesis(GRH), we show that infinitely often consecutive non-trivial zeros of the Riemann zeta-function differ by at least 3.072 times the average spacing.
The harmonic sawtooth map w(x) of the unit interval onto itself is defined where it is shown that its fixed points are enumerated by generating functions involving the golden ratio in their parameters. The appropriately scaled Mellin transform of w(x) is an analytic continuation of the Riemann zeta function ζ(s) valid for all -Re(s) not an integer. The series expansion of the inverse scaling function which makes the Mellin transform of w(x) equal to the zeta function has coefficients enumerating the Large Schroder Numbers S_n, the number of perfect matchings in a triangular grid of n squares. …
We discuss moments of the Riemann zeta-function in this paper. The purpose of this paper is to give an upper bound of exponential moments of the logarithm of the Riemann zeta-function twisted by arguments. Our results contain an improvement of Najnudel result for exponential moments of the argument of the Riemann zeta-function and an unconditional upper bound of the moments.
The aim of this paper is to define new generating functions. By applying the Mellin transformation formula to these generating functions, we define q-analogue of Genocchi zeta function, q-analogue Hurwitz type Genocchi zeta function, q-analogue Genocchi type l-function and two-variable q-Genocchi type l-function. Furthermore, we construct new genereting functions of q-Hardy-Berndt type sums and q-Hardy-Berndt type sums attached to Dirichlet character. We also give some new relations related to q-Hardy-Berndt type sums and q-Genocchi zeta function as well.
We very slightly improve the leading constant of the (currently best) proven asymptotic zero-free region of the Riemann zeta-function, by using an easy improvement to a trigonometric polynomial.
In this paper, we prove the universality theorem for the iterated integrals of the logarithm of the Riemann zeta-function on some line parallel to the real axis.
In this paper, we generalize the results of Akatsuka to the $k$-th derivative (for positive integer $k$) of the Riemann zeta function.

This paper continues a series of investigations on converging representations for the Riemann Zeta function. We generalize some identities which involve Riemann's zeta function, and moreover we give new series and integrals for the zeta function. The results originate from attempts to extend the zeta function by classical means on the complex plane. This is particularly of interest for representations which converge rapidly in a given area of the complex plane, or for the purpose to make error bounds available.
Assume the Riemann hypothesis. On the right-hand side of the critical strip, we obtain an asymptotic formula for the discrete mean square of the Riemann zeta-function over imaginary parts of its zeros.
We present some bounds of the inverses of tails of the Riemann zeta function on $0 < s < 1$ and compute the integer parts of the inverses of tails of the Riemann zeta function for $s=\frac{1}{2}, \frac{1}{3}$ and $\frac{1}{4}$.
In this unpublished note, we sketch an idea of using a three-piece mollifier to slightly improve the known percentages of zeros and simple zeros of the Riemann zeta-function on the critical line. This uses the recent result of Bettin, Bui, Li and Radziwill [BBLR] on the twisted fourth moment of the Riemann zeta-function.
We present a summation rule using the Mellin transform to give short proofs of some important classical relations between special functions and Bernoulli and Euler polynomials. For example, the values of the Hurwitz zeta function at the negative integers are expressed in terms of Bernoulli polynomials. We also show identities involving exponential and Hermite polynomials.
A new method for continuing the usual Dirichlet series that defines the Riemann zeta function $ζ(s)$ is presented. Numerical experiments demonstrating the computational efficacy of the resulting continuation are discussed.
The purpose of this article is to present closed forms for various types of infinite series involving Fibonacci (Lucas) numbers and the Riemann zeta function at integer arguments.
The authors conjecture an asymptotic expression for the sixth power moment of the Riemann zeta function. They establish related results on the asymptotics of the zeta function that support the conjecture.
We establish in this paper sharp lower bounds for the $2k$-th moment of the derivative of the Riemann zeta function on the critical line for all real $k \geq 0$.
We analyse a collection of mixed moments of the Riemann zeta function and establish the validity of asymptotic formulae. Such examinations are performed both unconditionally and under the assumption of a weaker version of the $abc$ conjecture.
In this paper, we give the integer parts of reciprocals of tails of the alternating Riemann zeta function at $s=1,2,3,4$ by using several new inequalities and elementary method.
We employ mean value estimates of Weyl sums in order to obtain discrete second moments of the Riemann Zeta-function with respect to polynomials near the vertical line $1+i\mathbb{R}$.
The Legendre type relation for the counting function of ordinary twin primes is reworked in terms of the inverse of the Riemann zeta function. Its analysis sheds light on the distribution of the zeros of the Riemann zeta function in the critical strip and their links to primes and the twin prime problem.
The paper describes a method for calculating values of Riemann's Zeta function within the critical strip 0< σ <1 and on its boundary. The approach is based on the "Alternating Zeta function" η(s). The actual Riemann Zeta function ζ(s) is easily obtained from η(s). The obtained accuracy, within certain limits of the described method is discussed. A decent scientific calculator suffices to carry out the involved computations.
We introduce an explicit formula for a reciprocal sum related to the Riemann zeta function at s=6, and pose one question related to a computational formula for larger values of s.
