The characterization of $H$-prime radical is given in many ways. Meantime, the relations between the radical of smash product $R # H$ and the $H$-radical of Hopf module algebra $R$ are obtained.
Let p be a prime, and let RG(p) denote the set of equivalence classes of radically graded finite dimensional quasi-Hopf algebras over C, whose radical has codimension p. The purpose of this paper is to classify finite dimensional quasi-Hopf algebras A whose radical is a quasi-Hopf ideal and has codimension p; that is, A with grA in RG(p), where grA is the associated graded algebra taken with respect to the radical filtration on A. The main result of this paper is the following theorem: Let A be a finite dimensional quasi-Hopf algebra whose radical is a quasi-Hopf ideal of prime codimension p. …
It is shown in math.QA/0301027 that a finite dimensional quasi-Hopf algebra with radical of codimension 1 is semisimple and 1-dimensional. On the other hand, there exist quasi-Hopf (in fact, Hopf) algebras, whose radical has codimension 2. Namely, it is known that these are exactly the Nichols Hopf algebras H_{2^n} of dimension 2^n, n\ge 1 (one for each value of n). The main result of this paper is that if H is a finite dimensional quasi-Hopf algebra over C with radical of codimension 2, then H is twist equivalent to a Nichols Hopf algebra H_{2^n}, n\ge 1, or to a lifting of one of the four sp…
Let p be a prime, and denote the class of radically graded finite dimensional quasi-Hopf algebras over C, whose radical has codimension p, by RG(p). The purpose of this paper is to continue the structure theory of finite dimensional quasi-Hopf algebras started in math.QA/0310253 (p=2) and math.QA/0402159 (p>2). More specifically, we completely describe the class RG(p) for p>2. Namely, we show that if H\in RG(p) has a nontrivial associator, then the rank of H[1] over H[0] is \le 1. This yields the following classification of H\in RG(p), p>2, up to twist equivalence: (a) Duals of pointed Hopf al…
The relations between the radical of crossed product $R #_σH$ and algebra $R$ are obtained. Using this theory, the author shows that if $H$ is a finite-dimensional semisimple, cosemisimle, and either commutative or cocommutative Hopf algebra, then $R$ is $H$-semiprime iff $R$ is semiprime iff $R#_σH$ is semiprime.
In braided tensor categories we show the Maschke's theorem and give the necessary and sufficient conditions for double cross biproducts and crossbiproducts and biproducts to be bialgebras. We obtain the factorization theorem for braided Hopf algebras; In symmetric tensor categories, we show the duality theorem and construct quantum double; In ordinary vector space category with ordinary twist, we obtain the relation between the global dimension, the weak dimension, the Jacbson radical, Baer radical of algebra $R$ and its crossed product $R #_σH$. We also give the relation between the decomposi…
We introduce the notion of idempotent radical class of module coalgebras over a bialgebra B. We prove that if R is an idempotent radical class of B-module coalgebras, then every B-module coalgebra contains a unique maximal B-submodule coalgebra in R. Moreover, a B-module coalgebra C is a member of R if, and only if, DB is in R for every simple subcoalgebra D of C. The collection of B-cocleft coalgebras, and the collection of H-projective module coalgebras over a Hopf algebra H are idempotent radical classes. As applications, we use these idempotent radical classes to give another proofs for a …
For a quasi-Hopf algebra $H$, a left $H$-comodule algebra $\mf{B}$ and a right $H$-module coalgebra $C$ we will characterize the category of Doi-Hopf modules ${}^C{\cal M}(H)_{\mf{B}}$ in terms of modules. We will also show that for an $H$-bicomodule algebra $\mb{A}$ and an $H$-bimodule coalgebra $C$ the category of generalized Yetter-Drinfeld modules ${}_{\mb{A}}{\cal YD}(H)^C$ is isomorphic to a certain category of Doi-Hopf modules. Using this isomorphism we will transport the properties from the category of Doi-Hopf modules to the category of generalized Yetter-Drinfeld modules.
Let $H$ be a finite dimensional quasi-Hopf algebra over a field $k$ and ${\mathfrak A}$ a right $H$-comodule algebra in the sense of Hausser and Nill. We first show that on the $k$-vector space ${\mathfrak A}\ot H^*$ we can define an algebra structure, denoted by ${\mathfrak A}\ovsm H^*$, in the monoidal category of left $H$-modules (i.e. ${\mathfrak A}\ovsm H^*$ is an $H$-module algebra. Then we will prove that the category of two-sided $({\mathfrak A}, H)$-bimodules $\hba $ is isomorphic to the category of relative $({\mathfrak A}\ovsm H^*, H^*)$-Hopf modules, as introduced in by Hausser and…
We construct the $H$-von Neumann regular radical for $H$-module algebras and show that it is an $H$-radical property. We obtain that the Jacobson radical of twisted graded algebra is a graded ideal. For twisted $H$-module algebra $R$, we also show that $r_{j}(R#_σH)= r_{Hj}(R)#_σH$ and the Jacobson radical of $R$ is stable, when $k$ is an algebraically closed field or there exists an algebraic closure $F$ of $k$ such that $r_j(R \otimes F) = r_j(R) \otimes F$, where $H$ is a finite-dimensional, semisimple, cosemisimple, commutative or cocommutative Hopf algebra over $k$. In particular, we answ…
We study the Hopf equation which is equivalent to the pentagonal equation, from operator algebras. A FRT type theorem is given and new types of quantum groups are constructed. The key role is played now by the classical Hopf modules category. As an application, a five dimensional noncommutative noncocommutative bialgebra is given.
Let $k$ be a commutative ring, $H$ a faithfully flat Hopf algebra with bijective antipode, $A$ a $k$-flat right $H$-comodule algebra. We investigate when a relative Hopf module is projective over the subring of coinvariants $B=A^{{\rm co}H}$, and we study the semisimplicity of the category of relative Hopf modules.
It is shown in math.QA/0310253 that a finite dimensional quasi-Hopf algebra over the complex numbers with radical of codimension 2 is twist equivalent to a Nichols Hopf algebra, or to a lifting of one of four special quasi-Hopf algebras of dimensions 2, 8, 8, and 32. The purpose of this paper is to construct new finite dimensional basic quasi-Hopf algebras A(q) of dimension n^3, n>2, parametrized by primitive roots of unity q of order n^2, with radical of codimension n, which generalize the construction of the basic quasi-Hopf algebras of dimension 8 given in math.QA/0310253. These quasi-Hopf …
We introduce Yetter-Drinfeld modules over a weak Hopf algebra $H$, and show that the category of Yetter-Drinfeld modules is isomorphic to the center of the category of $H$-modules. The categories of left-left, left-right, right-left and right-right Yetter-Drinfeld modules are isomorphic as braided monoidal categories. Yetter-Drinfeld modules can be viewed as weak Doi-Hopf modules, and, a fortiori, as weak entwined modules. If $H$ is finitely generated and projective, then we introduce the Drinfeld double using duality results between entwining structures and smash product structures, and show …
We propose the notion of Hopf module algebras and show that the projection onto the subspace of coinvariants is an idempotent Rota-Baxter operator of weight -1. We also provide a construction of Hopf module algebras by using Yetter-Drinfeld module algebras. As an application, we prove that the positive part of a quantum group admits idempotent Rota-Baxter algebra structures.
We develop some techniques to the study of exact module categories over some families of pointed finite-dimensional Hopf algebras. As an application we classify exact module categories over the tensor category of representations of the small quantum groups $u_q(\mathfrak{sl}_2)$.
We classify exact indecomposable module categories over the representation category of all non-trivial Hopf algebras with coradical S_3 and S_4. As a byproduct, we compute all its Hopf-Galois extensions and we show that these Hopf algebras are cocycle deformations of their graded versions.
We study when induction functors (and their adjoints) between categories of Doi-Hopf modules and, more generally, entwined modules are separable, resp. Frobenius. We present a unified approach, leading to new proofs of old results by the authors, as well as to some new ones. Also our methods provide a categorical explanation for the relationship between separability and Frobenius properties.
In this work, the notion of partial representation of a Hopf algebra is introduced and its relationship with partial actions of Hopf algebras is explored. Given a Hopf algebra $H$, one can associate it to a Hopf algebroid $H_{par}$ which has the universal property that each partial representation of $H$ can be factorized by an algebra morphism from $H_{par}$. We define also the category of partial modules over a Hopf algebra $H$, which is the category of modules over its associated Hopf algebroid $H_{par}$. The Hopf algebroid structure of $H_{par}$ enables us to enhance the category of partial…
In this paper, we study pointed rank one Hopf algebras and Hopf-Ore extensions of group algebras, over an arbitrary field $k$. It is proved that the rank of a Hopf-Ore extension of a group algebra is one or two or infinite. It is also shown that an arbitrary (finite or infinite dimensional) pointed Hopf algebra of rank one is isomorphic to a quotient of a Hopf-Ore extension of its coradical, a group algebra. We classify the finite dimensional simple modules and describe a family of indecomposable modules over a Hopf-Ore extension $H=kG(χ, a,δ)$ and its quotient $H'$ of rank one, where $χ(a)\ne…
In continuation of the article \cite{L} we classify all radically graded basic Hopf algebras of tame type over an algebraically closed field of characteristic 0.
In this paper we introduce the notion of weak non-asssociative Doi-Hopf module and give the Fundamental Theorem of Hopf modules in this setting. Also we prove that there exists a categorical equivalence that admits as particular instances the ones constructed in the literature for Hopf algebras, weak Hopf algebras, Hopf quasigroups, and weak Hopf quasigroups.
Based on a pairing of two regular multiplier Hopf algebras $A$ and $B$, Heisenberg double $\mathscr{H}$ is the smash product $A \# B$ with respect to the left regular action of $B$ on $A$. Let $\mathscr{D}=A\bowtie B$ be the Drinfel'd double, then Heisenberg double $\mathscr{H}$ is a Yetter-Drinfel'd $\mathscr{D}$-module algebra, and it is also braided commutative by the braiding of Yetter-Drinfel'd module, which generalizes the results in [10] to some infinite dimensional cases.
We calculate all irreducible representations over a subfamily of pointed Hopf algebras with group-likes the dihedral group analyzing the possible decompositions of the restriction to the dihedral group and calculating the Jacobson radical of the Hopf algebra
There are theorems in the literature which are referred as Maschke type theorems, because of the attempt to generalize Maschke's classical theorem. Our remark is that all these theorems are in fact providing sufficient conditions for the separability of a certain forgetful functor. But, unlike classical Maschke's theorem, where the sufficient condition is also necessary, none of these theorems gives any necessary condition for the separability of the forgeful functor in question. Our job is to find a necessary and sufficient condition for the separability of the forgetful functor from the cate…
In this paper, we present a general method for constructing finite-dimensional quasi-Hopf algebras from finite abelian groups and braided vector spaces of Cartan type. The study of such quasi-Hopf algebras leads to the classification of finite-dimensional radically graded basic quasi-Hopf algebras over abelian groups with dimensions not divisible by $2,3,5,7$ and associators given by abelian $3$-cocycles. As special cases , the small quasi-quantum groups are introduced and studied. Many new explicit examples of finite-dimensional genuine quasi-Hopf algebras are obtained.
In this paper we introduce the category of strong Hopf modules for a weak Hopf quasigroup H in a braided monoidal category. We also prove that this category is equivalent to the category of right modules over the image of the target morphism of H.
We investigate the equivariant and Hopf-cyclic cohomology of module algebras over Hopf algebroids and derive their Morita invariance. For this, we use the tools developed by McCarthy for $k$-linear categories and subsequently by Kaygun and Khalkhali for a certain class of categories, called as $H$-categories, for a Hopf algebra $H$.
In this paper, we introduce the concept of a Rota-Baxter paired module to study Rota-Baxter modules without necessarily a Rota-Baxter operator. We obtain two characterizations of Rota-Baxter paired modules, and give some basic properties of Rota-Baxter paired modules. Beginning with the connection between the notion of integrals in the representations of Hopf algebra and of the notion of an integral algebra as a motivation and special case of Rota-Baxter algebra of weight zero, we obtain a large number of Rota-Baxter paired modules from Hopf related algebras and modules, including semisimple H…
We investigate the representation theory of a large class of pointed Hopf algebras, extending results of Lusztig and others. We classify all simple modules in a suitable category and determine the weight multiplicities; we establish a complete reducibility theorem in this category.
Let $m$ a positive integer, not divisible by 2,3,5,7. We generalize the classification of basic quasi-Hopf algebras over cyclic groups of prime order given in \cite{EG3} to the case of cyclic groups of order $m$. To this end, we introduce a family of non-semisimple radically graded quasi-Hopf algebras $A(H,s)$, constructed as subalgebras of Hopf algebras twisted by a quasi-Hopf twist, which are not twist equivalent to Hopf algebras. Any basic quasi-Hopf algebra over a cyclic group of order $m$ is either semisimple, or is twist equivalent to a Hopf algebra or a quasi-Hopf algebra of type $A(H,s…
We prove that, over an algebraically closed field of characteristic zero, a semisimple Hopf algebra that has a nontrivial self-dual simple module must have even dimension. This generalizes a classical result of W. Burnside. As an application, we show under the same assumptions that a semisimple Hopf algebra that has a simple module of even dimension must itself have even dimension.
In this paper, we introduce the conception of Rota-Baxter paired comodules, which is dual to Rota-Baxter paired modules in [14]. We mainly discuss some properties of Rota-Baxter paired comodules, especially we give the characterization of generic Rota-Baxter paired comodules, which has important application for the construction of Rota-Baxter comodules. Moreover, we construct Rota-Baxter paired comodules on Hopf algebras, weak Hopf algebras, weak Hopf modules, dimodules, relative Hopf modules and Rota-Baxter paired comodules. And then we finally introduce the conception of Rota-Baxter paired H…
We generalize various properties of Yetter-Drinfeld modules over Hopf algebras to quasi-Hopf algebras. The dual of a finite dimensional Yetter-Drinfeld module is again a Yetter-Drinfeld module. The algebra $H_0$ in the category of Yetter-Drinfeld modules that can be obtained by modifying the multiplication in a proper way is quantum commutative. We give a Structure Theorem for Hopf modules in the category of Yetter-Drinfeld modules, and deduce the existence and uniqueness of integrals from it.
We extend the notion of Poisson-Lie groups and Lie bialgebras from Poisson to g-quasi-Poisson geometry and provide a quantization to braided Hopf algebras in the corresponding Drinfeld category. The basic examples of these g-quasi-Poisson Lie groups are nilpotent radicals of parabolic subgroups. We also provide examples of moment maps in this new context coming from moduli spaces of flat connections on surfaces.
Let $(R^{\vee},R)$ be a dual pair of Hopf algebras in the category of Yetter-Drinfeld modules over a Hopf algebra $H$ with bijective antipode. We show that there is a braided monoidal isomorphism between rational left Yetter-Drinfeld modules over the bosonizations of $R$ and of $R^{\vee}$, respectively. As an application of this very general category isomorphism we obtain a natural proof of the existence of reflections of Nichols algebras of semisimple Yetter-Drinfeld modules over $H$. Key words: Hopf algebras, quantum groups, Weyl groupoid
In this paper, we continue our study of the Green rings of finite dimensional pointed Hopf algebras of rank one initiated in \cite{WLZ}, but focus on those Hopf algebras of non-nilpotent type. Let $H$ be a finite dimensional pointed rank one Hopf algebra of non-nilpotent type. We first determine all non-isomorphic indecomposable $H$-modules and describe the Clebsch-Gordan formulas for them. We then study the structures of both the Green ring $r(H)$ and the Grothendieck ring $G_0(H)$ of $H$ and establish the precise relation between the two rings. We use the Cartan map of $H$ to study the Jacob…
Let H be a finite-dimensional pointed Hopf algebra of rank one over an algebraically closed field of characteristic zero. In this paper we describe all annihilator ideals of indecomposable H-modules by generators. In particular, we give the classification of all ideals of finite-dimensional pointed Hopf algebra of rank one of nilpotent type over Klein 4-group.
Hopf (bi-)modules and crossed modules over a bialgebra B in a braided monoidal category C are considered. The (braided) monoidal equivalence of both categories is proved provided B is a Hopf algebra (with invertible antipode). Bialgebra projections and Hopf bimodule bialgebras over a Hopf algebra in C are found to be isomorphic categories. As a consequence a generalization of the Radford-Majid criterion for a braided Hopf algebra to be a cross product is obtained. The results of this paper turn out to be fundamental for the construction of (bicovariant) differential calculi on braided Hopf alg…
If A is a bialgebra over a field k and M, N are either left-right Yetter-Drinfel'd modules or left-right Hopf modules over A, we construct deformation cohomologies H^*(M,N) as total cohomologies of certain double complexes Y(M,N) and C(M,N), respectively. In both cases, H^1(M,N) is isomorphic to the group of equivalence classes of extensions of M by N in the corresponding category. In the Yetter-Drinfel'd case, H^*(k,k) is just the Gerstenhaber-Schack cohomology of the bialgebra A. If M, N are Hopf bimodules we construct a natural subbicomplex of the above C(M,N), yielding a cohomology theory …
The effectiveness of the aplication of constructions in $G$-graded $k$-categories to the computation of the fundamental group of a finite dimensional $k$-algebra, alongside with open problems still left untouched by those methods and new problems arisen from the introduction of the concept of fundamental group of a $k$-linear category, motivated the investigation of $H$-module categories, i.e., actions of a Hopf algebra $H$ on a $k$-linear category. The $G$-graded case corresponds then to actions of the Hopf algebra $k^G$ on a $k$-linear category. In this work we take a step further and introd…
If H is a finite dimensional Hopf algebra, C. Cibils and M. Rosso found an algebra X having the property that Hopf bimodules over H^* coincide with left X-modules. We find two other algebras, Y and Z, having the same property; namely, Y is the "two-sided crossed product" H^*#(H\otimes H^{op})# H^{* op} and Z is the "diagonal crossed product" (H^*\otimes H^{*op})\bowtie (H\otimes H^{op}) (both concepts are due to F. Hausser and F. Nill). We also find explicit isomorphisms between the algebras X, Y, Z.
We define a new algebra of noncommutative differential forms for any Hopf algebra with an invertible antipode. We prove that there is a one to one correspondence between anti-Yetter-Drinfeld modules, which serve as coefficients for the Hopf cyclic (co)homology, and modules which admit a flat connection with respect to our differential calculus. Thus we show that these coefficient modules can be regarded as ``flat bundles'' in the sense of Connes' noncommutative differential geometry.
Let H be a finite-dimensional quasibialgebra. We show that H is a quasi-Hopf algebra if and only if the category of its finite-dimensional left modules is rigid if and only if a structure theorem for Hopf modules over H holds. We also show that a dual structure theorem for Hopf modules over a coquasibialgebra H holds if and only if the category of finite-dimensional right H-comodules is rigid; this is not equivalent to H being a coquasi-Hopf algebra.
Any finite-dimensional Hopf algebra H is Frobenius and the stable category of H-modules is triangulated monoidal. To H-comodule algebras we assign triangulated module-categories over the stable category of H-modules. These module-categories are generalizations of homotopy and derived categories of modules over a differential graded algebra. We expect that, for suitable H, our construction could be a starting point in the program of categorifying quantum invariants of 3-manifolds.
Given a Hopf algebra $H$ and a projection $H\to A$ to a Hopf subalgebra, we construct a Hopf algebra $r(H)$, called the partial dualization of $H$, with a projection to the Hopf algebra dual to $A$. This construction provides powerful techniques in the general setting of braided monoidal categories. The construction comprises in particular the reflections of generalized quantum groups, arxiv:1111.4673 . We prove a braided equivalence between the Yetter-Drinfel'd modules over a Hopf algebra and its partial dualization.
In this dissertation we study the coefficients spaces (SAYD modules) of Hopf-cyclic cohomology theory over a certain family of bicrossed product Hopf algebras, and we compute the Hopf-cyclic cohomology of such Hopf algebras with coefficients. We associate a Hopf algebra, what we call a Lie-Hopf algebra, to any matched pair of Lie groups, Lie algebras and affine algebraic groups via the semi-dualization procedure of Majid. We then identify the SAYD modules over Lie-Hopf algebras with the representations and corepresentations of the total Lie group, Lie algebra or the affine algebraic group of t…
We develop abstract nonsense for module categories over monoidal categories (this is a straightforward categorification of modules over rings). As applications we show that any semisimple monoidal category with finitely many simple objects is equivalent to the category of representations of a weak Hopf algebra (theorem of T. Hayashi) and classify module categories over the fusion category of $\hat{sl}(2)$ at a positive integer level where we meet once again ADE classification pattern.
