Several identities for the Riemann zeta-function $ζ(s)$ are proved. For example, if $s = σ+ it$ and $σ> 0$, then $$ \int_{-\infty}^\infty |{(1-2^{1-s})ζ(s)\over s}|^2dt = {π\overσ}(1 - 2^{1-2σ})ζ(2σ). $$
There has been an avalanche of recent research on multiple zeta values. We propose dividing identities for multiple zeta values into structural and specific types. Structural identities are valid for any generalized multiple zeta function, and we systematically investigate them through symmetric functions. Specific identities are only valid for a specific zeta function, and we show how these can be used in conjunction with structural identities to find closed form multiple zeta values. This allows us to interpret generalized multiple zeta values as the moments of a random variable, which we ch…
In 1998, Borwein, Bradley, Broadhurst and Lisoněk posed two families of conjectural identities among multiple zeta values, later generalized by Charlton using his alternating block notation. In this paper, we prove a new class of identities among multiple zeta values that simultaneously resolve and generalize these conjectures.
We prove an identity for multiple zeta star values, which generalises some identities due to Imatomi, Tanaka, Tasaka and Wakabayashi. This identity gives an analogue of cyclic insertion type identities, for multiple zeta star values, and connects the block decomposition with Zhao's generalised 2-1 formula.
In this paper we prove some new identities for multiple zeta values and multiple zeta star values of arbitrary depth by using the methods of integral computations of logarithm function and iterated integral representations of series. By applying these formulas, we can prove that multiple zeta star values whose indices are the sequences $(\bar 1,\{1\}_m,\bar 1)$ and $(2,\{1\}_m,\bar 1)$ can be expressed polynomially in terms of zeta values, polylogarithms and $\ln2$. Finally, we also evaluate several restricted sum formulas involving multiple zeta values.
We show how infinite series of a certain type involving generalized harmonic numbers can be computed using a knowledge of symmetric functions and multiple zeta values. In particular, we prove and generalize some identities recently conjectured by J. Choi, and give several more families of identities of a similar nature.
In this paper, we consstruct a new extended q-Bernoulli numbers and poly nomials. From these numbers, we derive the multiple zeta functions and give some relations between multiple Bernoulli numbers and multiple zeta functions.
We obtain several expansions for $ζ(s)$ involving a sequence of polynomials in $s$, denoted in this paper by $α_k(s)$. These polynomials can be regarded as a generalization of Stirling numbers of the first kind and our identities extend some series expansions for the zeta function that are known for integer values of $s$. The expansions also give a different approach to the analytic continuation of the Riemann zeta function.
Riemann zeta values are generalized to multiple zeta values (MZVs) by use of nested sums, and MZVs are generalized to regularized multiple zeta values (RMZVs) by regularization of divergent infinite series. In the present paper, we prove congruence identities of RMZVs of depth $n$ involving a pair of index sets; the congruence relation is given by the vector space spanned by MZVs of depth $n-1$ and products of MZVs. We also obtain a proof of the parity result, and a congruence sum formula for MZVs.
We study some classical identities for multiple zeta values and show that they still hold for zeta functions built on the zeros of an arbitrary function. We introduce the complementary zeta function of a system, which naturally occurs when lifting identities for multiple zeta values to identities for quasisymmetric functions.
We study a general type of series and relate special cases of it to Stirling series, infinite series discussed by Choi and Hoffman, and also to special values of the Arakawa-Kaneko zeta function, complementing and generalizing earlier results. Moreover, we survey properties of certain truncated multiple zeta and zeta star values, pointing out their relation to finite sums of harmonic numbers. We also discuss the duality result of Hoffman, relating binomial sums and truncated multiple zeta star values.
The main object of this paper is to obtain several symmetric properties of the q-Zeta type functions. As applications of these properties, we give some new interesting identities for the modified q-Genocchi polynomials. Finally, our applications are shown to lead to a number of interesting results which we state in the present paper.
We derive several identities for the Hurwitz and Riemann zeta functions, the Gamma function, and Dirichlet $L$-functions. They involve a sequence of polynomials $α_k(s)$ whose study was initiated in an earlier paper. The expansions given here are practical and can be used for the high precision evaluation of these functions, and for deriving formulas for special values. We also present a summation formula and use it to generalize a formula of Hasse.
Based on the notion of Stark units we present a new approach that obtains refinements of log-algebraic identities for Anderson t-modules. As a consequence, we establish a generalization of Chang's theorem on logarithmic interpretations for special characteristic p multiple zeta values (MZV's) and recover many earlier results in this direction. Further, we devise a direct and conceptual way to get logarithmic interpretations for both MZV's and v-adic MZV's. This generalizes completely the work of Anderson and Thakur for Carlitz zeta values.
In this paper, we give identities involving cyclic sums of regularized multiple zeta values of depth less than $5$. As a corollary, we present two kinds of extensions of Hoffman's theorem for symmetric sums of multiple zeta values for this case.
In this paper we present a new family of identities for multiple harmonic sums which generalize a recent result of Hessami Pilehrood et al. We then apply it to obtain a family of identities relating multiple zeta star values to alternating Euler sums. In such a typical identity the entries of the multiple zeta star values consist of blocks of arbitrarily long 2-strings separated by positive integers greater than two while the largest depth of the alternating Euler sums depends only on the number of 2-string blocks but not on their lengths.
The main aim of this paper is to investigate and introduce relations between the numbers of k-ary Lyndon words and unified zeta-type functions which was defined by Ozden et al [15, p. 2785]. Finally, we give some identities on generating functions for the numbers of k-ary Lyndon words and some special numbers and polynomials such as the Apostol-Bernoulli numbers and polynomials, Frobenius-Euler numbers, Euler numbers and Bernoulli numbers.
In recent years, there has been intensive research on the ${\mathbb Q}$-linear relations between multiple zeta (star) values. In this paper, we prove many families of identities involving the $q$-analog of these values, from which we can always recover the corresponding classical identities by taking $q\to 1$. The main result of the paper is the duality relations between multiple zeta star values and Euler sums and their $q$-analogs, which are generalizations of the Two-one formula and some multiple harmonic sum identities and their $q$-analogs proved by the authors recently. Such duality rela…
Koecher in 1980 derived a method for obtaining identities for the Riemann zeta function at odd positive integers, including a classical result for $ζ(3)$ due to Markov and rediscovered by Apéry. In this paper we extend Koecher's method to a very general setting and prove two more specific but still rather general results. As applications we obtain infinite classes of identities for alternating Euler sums, further Markov-Apéry type identities, and identities for even powers of $π$
In 2017, Ono, Rolen, and Sprung [ORS17] answered problems of Manin [Man16] by defining zeta-polynomials $Z_f(s)$ for even weight newforms $f\in S_k(Γ_0(N)$; these polynomials can be defined by applying the "Rodriguez-Villegas transform" to the period polynomial of $f$. It is known that these zeta-polynomials satisfy a functional equation $Z_f(s) = \pm Z_f(1-s)$ and they have a conjectural arithmetic-geometric interpretation. Here, we give analogous results for a slightly larger class of polynomials which are also defined using the Rodriguez-Villegas transform.
Using elementary methods we find surprising connections between the values of the Riemann Zeta Function over integers and the fractional parts of rational powers, and a connection between the Riemann Zeta Function and the Prime Zeta Function.
The number of zeros and the distribution of the real part of non-real zeros of the derivatives of the Riemann zeta function have been investigated by Berndt, Levinson, Montgomery, and Akatsuka. Berndt, Levinson, and Montgomery investigated the general case, meanwhile Akatsuka gave sharper estimates for the first derivative of the Riemann zeta function under the truth of the Riemann hypothesis. In this paper, we extend the results of Akatsuka to the second derivative of the Riemann zeta function.
In this article we compute a discrete mean value of the derivative of the Riemann zeta function. This mean value will be important for several applications concerning the size of $ζ'(ρ)$ where $ζ(s)$ is the Riemann zeta function and $ρ$ is a non-trivial zero of the Riemann zeta function.
The fundamental objective of this paper is to obtain some interesting properties for $\left(h,q\right)$-Genocchi numbers and polynomials by using the fermionic $p$-adic $q$-integral on $\mathbb{Z}_{p}$ and mentioned in the paper $q$-Bernstein polynomials. By considering the $q$-Euler zeta function defined by T. Kim, which can also be obtained by applying the Mellin transformation to the generating function of $\left(h,q\right)$-Genocchi polynomials, we study $\left(h,q\right)$-Zeta-type function. We derive symmetric properties of $\left(h,q\right)$-Zeta function and from these properties we gi…
Recently, $λ$-Bernoulli and $λ$-Euler numbers are studied in [5, 10]. The purpose of this paper is to present a systematic study of some families of the $q$-extensions of the $λ$-Bernoulli and the $λ$-Euler numbers by using the bosonic $p$-adic $q$-integral and the fermionic $p$-adic $q$-integral. The investigation of these $λ$-$q$-Bernoulli and $λ$-$q$-Euler numbers leads to interesting identities related to these objects. The results of the present paper cover earlier results concerning $q$-Bernoulli and $q$-Euler numbers. By using derivative operator to the generating functions of $λ$-$q$-B…
We show that the generalized Riemann hypothesis implies that there are infinitely many consecutive zeros of the Riemann zeta function whose spacing is 2.9125 times larger than the average spacing. This is deduced from the calculation of the second moment of the Riemann zeta function multiplied by a Dirichlet polynomial averaged over the zeros of the zeta function.
In this article, we establish an asymptotic formula for the eighth moment of the Riemann zeta function, assuming the Riemann hypothesis and a quaternary additive divisor conjecture. This builds on the work of the first author on the sixth moment of the Riemann zeta function and work of Conrey-Gonek and Ivić. A key input is a sharp bound for a certain shifted moment of the Riemann zeta function, assuming the Riemann hypothesis.
Assuming the Riemann Hypothesis we show that there exist infinitely many consecutive zeros of the Riemann zeta-function whose gaps are greater than 2.9 times the average spacing.
Assuming the Generalized Riemann Hypothesis(GRH), we show that infinitely often consecutive non-trivial zeros of the Riemann zeta-function differ by at least 3.072 times the average spacing.
We discuss moments of the Riemann zeta-function in this paper. The purpose of this paper is to give an upper bound of exponential moments of the logarithm of the Riemann zeta-function twisted by arguments. Our results contain an improvement of Najnudel result for exponential moments of the argument of the Riemann zeta-function and an unconditional upper bound of the moments.
We very slightly improve the leading constant of the (currently best) proven asymptotic zero-free region of the Riemann zeta-function, by using an easy improvement to a trigonometric polynomial.
In this paper, we prove the universality theorem for the iterated integrals of the logarithm of the Riemann zeta-function on some line parallel to the real axis.
In this paper, we generalize the results of Akatsuka to the $k$-th derivative (for positive integer $k$) of the Riemann zeta function.

This paper continues a series of investigations on converging representations for the Riemann Zeta function. We generalize some identities which involve Riemann's zeta function, and moreover we give new series and integrals for the zeta function. The results originate from attempts to extend the zeta function by classical means on the complex plane. This is particularly of interest for representations which converge rapidly in a given area of the complex plane, or for the purpose to make error bounds available.
Assume the Riemann hypothesis. On the right-hand side of the critical strip, we obtain an asymptotic formula for the discrete mean square of the Riemann zeta-function over imaginary parts of its zeros.
We present some bounds of the inverses of tails of the Riemann zeta function on $0 < s < 1$ and compute the integer parts of the inverses of tails of the Riemann zeta function for $s=\frac{1}{2}, \frac{1}{3}$ and $\frac{1}{4}$.
In this unpublished note, we sketch an idea of using a three-piece mollifier to slightly improve the known percentages of zeros and simple zeros of the Riemann zeta-function on the critical line. This uses the recent result of Bettin, Bui, Li and Radziwill [BBLR] on the twisted fourth moment of the Riemann zeta-function.
In this article, we study special values of the Dedekind zeta function over an imaginary quadratic field. The values of the Dedekind zeta function at any even integer over any totally real number field is quite well known in literature. In fact, in one of the famous article, Zagier obtained an explicit formula for Dedekind zeta function at point 2 and conjectured an identity at any even values over any number field. We here exhibit the identities for both even and odd values of the Dedekind zeta function over an imaginary quadratic field which are analogous to Ramanujan's identities for even a…
A new method for continuing the usual Dirichlet series that defines the Riemann zeta function $ζ(s)$ is presented. Numerical experiments demonstrating the computational efficacy of the resulting continuation are discussed.
The purpose of this article is to present closed forms for various types of infinite series involving Fibonacci (Lucas) numbers and the Riemann zeta function at integer arguments.
The authors conjecture an asymptotic expression for the sixth power moment of the Riemann zeta function. They establish related results on the asymptotics of the zeta function that support the conjecture.
We establish in this paper sharp lower bounds for the $2k$-th moment of the derivative of the Riemann zeta function on the critical line for all real $k \geq 0$.
We analyse a collection of mixed moments of the Riemann zeta function and establish the validity of asymptotic formulae. Such examinations are performed both unconditionally and under the assumption of a weaker version of the $abc$ conjecture.
