We construct quantum commutators on module-algebras of quasi-triangular Hopf algebras. These are quantum-group covariant, and have generalized antisymmetry and Leibniz properties. If the Hopf algebra is triangular they additionally satisfy a generalized Jacobi identity, turning the module-algebra into a quantum-Lie algebra.
For two $n \times n$ complex matrices $A$ and $B$, we define the $q$-deformed commutator as $[ A, B ]_q := A B - q BA$ for a real parameter $q$. In this paper, we investigate a generalization of the Böttcher-Wenzel inequality which gives the sharp upper bound of the (Frobenius) norm of the commutator. In our generalisation, we investigate sharp upper bounds on the $q$-deformed commutator. This generalization can be studied in two different scenarios: firstly bounds for general matrices, and secondly for traceless matrices. For both scenarios, partial answers and conjectures are given for posit…
A recursive deformation of the boson commutation relation is introduced. Each step consists of a minimal deformation of a commutator $[a,\ad]=f_k(\cdots;\no)$ into $[a,\ad]_{q_{k+1}}=f_k(\cdots;\no)$, where $\cdots$ stands for the set of deformation parameters that $f_k$ depends on, followed by a transformation into the commutator $[a,\ad]=f_{k+1}(\cdots,\, q_{k+1};\no)$ to which the deformed commutator is equivalent within the Fock space. Starting from the harmonic oscillator commutation relation $[a,\ad]=1$ we obtain the Arik-Coon and the Macfarlane-Biedenharn oscillators at the first and se…
We explore the possibility of introducing q-deformed connections on the quantum 2-sphere and 3-sphere, satisfying a twisted Leibniz rule in analogy with q-deformed derivations. We show that such connections always exist on projective modules. Furthermore, a condition for metric compatibility is introduced, and an explicit formula is given, parametrizing all metric connections on a free module. For the module of 1-forms on the quantum 3-sphere, a q-deformed torsion freeness condition is introduced and we derive explicit expressions for the Christoffel symbols of a Levi-Civita connection for a g…
We investigate the "theta-deformed spheres" C(S^{3}_{theta}) and C(S^{4}_{theta}), where theta is any real number. We show that all finitely-generated projective modules over C(S^{3}_{theta}) are free, and that C(S^{4}_{theta}) has the cancellation property. We classify and construct all finitely-generated projective modules over C(S^{4}_θ) up to isomorphism. An interesting feature is that if theta is irrational then there are nontrivial "rank-1" modules over C(S^{4}_θ). In that case, every finitely-generated projective module over C(S^{4}_θ) is a sum of a rank-1 module and a free module. If t…
Phase-space realisations of an infinite parameter family of quantum deformations of the boson algebra in which the $q$-- and the $qp$--deformed algebras arise as special cases are studied. Quantum and classical models for the corresponding deformed oscillators are provided. The deformation parameters are identified with coefficients of non-linear terms in the normal forms expansion of a family of classical Hamiltonian systems. These quantum deformations are trivial in the sense that they correspond to non-unitary transformations of the Weyl algebra. They are non-trivial in the sense that the d…
We produce counterexamples to show that in the definition of the notion of intertwining operator for modules for a vertex operator algebra, the commutator formula cannot in general be used as a replacement axiom for the Jacobi identity. We further give a sufficient condition for the commutator formula to imply the Jacobi identity in this definition. Using these results we illuminate the crucial role of the condition called the ``compatibility condition'' in the construction of the tensor product module in vertex operator algebra theory, as carried out in work of Huang and Lepowsky. In particul…
The representation theory of the generalized deformed oscillator algebras (GDOA's) is developed. GDOA's are generated by the four operators ${1,a,a^†,N}$. Their commutators and Hermiticity properties are those of the boson oscillator algebra, except for $[a, a^†]_q = G(N)$, where $[a,b]_q = a b - q b a$ and $G(N)$ is a Hermitian, analytic function. The unitary irreductible representations are obtained by means of a Casimir operator $C$ and the semi-positive operator $a^† a$. They may belong to one out of four classes: bounded from below (BFB), bounded from above (BFA), finite-dimentional (FD),…
We introduce the notion of a crystal base of a finite dimensional q-deformed Kac module over the quantum superalgebra $U_q(\gl(m|n))$, and prove its existence and uniqueness. In particular, we obtain the crystal base of a finite dimensional irreducible $U_q(\gl(m|n))$-module with typical highest weight. We also show that the crystal base of a q-deformed Kac module is compatible with that of its irreducible quotient $V(λ)$ given by Benkart, Kang and Kashiwara when $V(λ)$ is an irreducible polynomial representation.
The $θ$-deformed Hopf fibration $\mathbb{S}^3_θ\to \mathbb{S}^2$ over the commutative $2$-sphere is compared with its classical counterpart. It is shown that there exists a natural isomorphism between the corresponding associated module functors and that the affine spaces of classical and deformed connections are isomorphic. The latter isomorphism is equivariant under an appropriate notion of infinitesimal gauge transformations in these contexts. Gauge transformations and connections on associated modules are studied and are shown to be sensitive to the deformation parameter. A homotopy theore…

$GL_h(n) \times GL_{h'}(m)$-covariant (hh')-bosonic (or (hh')-fermionic) algebras ${\cal A}_{hh'\pm}(n,m)$ are built in terms of the corresponding R_h and $R_{h'}$-matrices by contracting the $GL_q(n) \times GL_{q^{\pm1}}(m)$-covariant q-bosonic (or q-fermionic) algebras ${\cal A}^{(α)}_{q\pm}(n,m)$, $α= 1, 2$. When using a basis of ${\cal A}^{(α)}_{q\pm}(n,m)$ wherein the annihilation operators are contragredient to the creation ones, this contraction procedure can be carried out for any n, m values. When employing instead a basis wherein the annihilation operators, as the creation ones, are …

The $q$-deformed Bannai-Ito algebra was recently constructed in the threefold tensor product of the quantum superalgebra $\mathfrak{osp}_q(1\vert 2)$. It turned out to be isomorphic to the Askey-Wilson algebra. In the present paper these results will be extended to higher rank. The rank $n-2$ $q$-Bannai-Ito algebra $\mathcal{A}_n^q$, which by the established isomorphism also yields a higher rank version of the Askey-Wilson algebra, is constructed in the $n$-fold tensor product of $\mathfrak{osp}_q(1\vert 2)$. An explicit realization in terms of $q$-shift operators and reflections is proposed, …
We give a proof of the recursive formula on the norm of Whittaker vector of the deformed Virasoro algebra, which is an analog of the one for the Virasoro Lie algebra proposed by Al. Zamolodchikov. Our formula gives a proof of the pure SU(2) 5d AGT relation proposed by Awata and Yamada. We also give a summary of the structures of the deformed Virasoro algebra and the fundamental properties of the Verma module.
We suggest a programming realization of an algorithm for verifying a given set of algebraic relations in the form of a supercommutator multiplication table for the Verma module, which is constructed according to a generalized Cartan procedure for a quadratic superalgebra and whose elements are realized as a formal power series with respect to non-commuting elements. To this end, we propose an algebraic procedure of Verma module construction and its realization in terms of non-commuting creation and annihilation operators of a given Heisenberg--Weyl superalgebra. In doing so, we set up a proble…
The representation theory of deformed oscillator algebras, defined in terms of an arbitrary function of the number operator~$N$, is developed in terms of the eigenvalues of a Casimir operator~$C$. It is shown that according to the nature of the $N$ spectrum, their unitary irreducible representations may fall into one out of four classes, some of which contain bosonic, fermionic or parafermionic Fock-space representations as special cases. The general theory is illustrated by classifying the unitary irreducible representations of the Arik-Coon, Chaturvedi-Srinivasan, and Tamm-Dancoff oscillator…
We show that the different labelings of the crystal graph for irreducible highest weight $\mathcal{U}\_q (\hat{\mathfrak{sl}}\_e)$-modules lead to different labelings of the simple modules for non semisimple Ariki-Koike algebras by using Lusztig $a$-values.
Let $V_n=<e_1,...,e_{n+1}>$ be a vector products n-Lie algebra with n-Lie commutator $[e_1,...,\hat{e_i},...,e_{n+1}]=(-1)^ie_i$ over the field of complex numbers. Any finite-dimensional n-Lie $V_n$-module is completely reducible. Any finite-dimensional irreducible n-Lie $V_n$-module is isomorphic to a n-Lie extension of $so_{n+1}$-module with highest weight $tπ_1$ for some nonnegative integer t.
The aim of this paper is to clarify the relation between the following objects: $ (a) $ rank 1 projective modules (ideals) over the first Weyl algebra $ A_1(\C)$; $ (b) $ simple modules over deformed preprojective algebras $ Π_λ(Q) $ introduced by Crawley-Boevey and Holland; and $ (c) $ simple modules over the rational Cherednik algebras $ H_{0,c}(S_n) $ associated to symmetric groups. The isomorphism classes of each type of these objects can be parametrized geometrically by the same space (namely, the Calogero-Moser algebraic varieties); however, no natural functors between the corresponding …
We recall a construction of non-commutative algebras related to a one-parameter family of (deformed) spheres and tori, and show that in the case of tori, the *-algebras can be completed into C*-algebras isomorphic to the standard non-commutative torus. As the former was constructed in the context of matrix (or fuzzy) geometries, it provides an important link to the framework of non-commutative geometry, and opens up for a concrete way to study deformations of non-commutative tori. Furthermore, we show how the well-known fuzzy sphere and fuzzy torus can be obtained as formal scaling limits of f…
We study $ϕ_ε$-coordinated modules for vertex algebras, where $ϕ_ε$ with $ε$ an integer parameter is a family of associates of the one-dimensional additive formal group. As the main results, we obtain a Jacobi type identity and a commutator formula for $ϕ_ε$-coordinated modules. We then use these results to study $ϕ_ε$-coordinated modules for vertex algebras associated to Novikov algebras by Primc.
We give an interpretation of the $(q,t)$-deformed Cartan matrices of finite type and their inverses in terms of bigraded modules over the generalized preprojective algebras of Langlands dual type in the sense of Geiß-Leclerc-Schröer [Invent. math. 209 (2017)]. As an application, we compute the first extension groups between the generic kernels introduced by Hernandez-Leclerc [J. Eur. Math. Soc. 18 (2016)], and propose a conjecture that their dimensions coincide with the pole orders of the normalized $R$-matrices between the corresponding Kirillov-Reshetikhin modules.
The polynomial deformations of the Witten extensions of the U(su(2)) and U(osp(1,2)) algebras are three generator algebras with normal ordering, admitting a two generator subalgebra. The modules and the representations of these algebras are based on the construction of Verma modules, which are quotient modules, generated by ideals of the original algebra. This construction unifies a large number of the known algebras under the same scheme. The finite dimensional representations show new features such as the multiplicity of representations of the same dimensionality, or the existence of finite …
We show that the action of the special conformal transformations of the usual (undeformed) conformal group is the $q\to 1$ scaling limit of the braided adjoint action or $R$-commutator of $q$-Minkowski space on itself. We also describe the $q$-deformed conformal algebra in $R$-matrix form and its quasi-$*$ structure.
A theory of quasi modules at infinity for (weak) quantum vertex algebras including vertex algebras was previously developed in \cite{li-infinity}. In this current paper, quasi modules at infinity for vertex algebras are revisited. Among the main results, we extend some technical results, to fill in a gap in the proof of a theorem therein, and we obtain a commutator formula for general quasi modules at infinity and establish a version of the converse of the aforementioned theorem.

The Groenewold-Moyal plane is the algebra A_θ(R^(d+1)) of functions on R^(d+1) with the star-product as the multiplication law, and the commutator [x_μ,x_ν] =i θ_{μν} between the coordinate functions. Chaichian et al. and Aschieri et al. have proved that the Poincare group acts as automorphisms on A_θ(R^(d+1))$ if the coproduct is deformed. (See also the prior work of Majid, Oeckl and Grosse et al). In fact, the diffeomorphism group with a deformed coproduct also does so according to the results of Aschieri et al. In this paper we show that for this new action, the Bose and Fermi commutation r…
Motivated by logarithmic conformal field theory and Gromov-Witten theory, we introduce a notion of a twisted module of a vertex algebra under an arbitrary (not necessarily semisimple) automorphism. Its main feature is that the twisted fields involve the logarithm of the formal variable. We develop the theory of such twisted modules and, in particular, derive a Borcherds identity and commutator formula for them. We investigate in detail the examples of affine and Heisenberg vertex algebras.
In this paper, we study $(G,χ_ϕ)$-equivariant $ϕ$-coordinated quasi modules for nonlocal vertex algebras. Among the main results, we establish several conceptual results, including a generalized commutator formula and a general construction of weak quantum vertex algebras and their $(G,χ_ϕ)$-equivariant $ϕ$-coordinated quasi modules. As an application, we also construct (equivariant) $ϕ$-coordinated quasi modules for lattice vertex algebras by using Lepowsky's work on twisted vertex operators.
Local Weyl modules over two-dimensional currents with values in $gl_r$ are deformed into spaces with bases related to parking functions. Using this construction we 1) propose a simple proof that dimension of the space of diagonal coinvariants is not less than the number of parking functions; 2) describe the limits of Weyl modules in terms of semi-infinite forms and find the limits of characters; 3) propose a lower bound and state a conjecture for dimensions of Weyl modules with arbitrary highest weights. Also we express characters of deformed Weyl modules in terms of $ρ$-parking functions and …
We construct a family of intertwining operators (screening operators) between various Fock space modules over the deformed $W_n$ algebra. They are given as integrals involving a product of screening currents and elliptic theta functions. We derive a set of quadratic relations among the screening operators, and use them to construct a Felder-type complex in the case of the deformed $W_3$ algebra.
Motivated by deformation quantization, we consider in this paper $^*$-algebras $\mathcal A$ over rings $\ring C = \ring{R}(i)$, where $\ring R$ is an ordered ring and $i^2 = -1$, and study the deformation theory of projective modules over these algebras carrying the additional structure of a (positive) $\mathcal A$-valued inner product. For $A=C^\infty(M)$, M a manifold, these modules can be identified with Hermitian vector bundles E over M. We show that for a fixed Hermitian star-product on M, these modules can always be deformed in a unique way, up to (isometric) equivalence. We observe that…
We give a new construction of functors from the category of modules for the associative algebras $A_n(V)$ and $A_g(V)$ associated with a vertex operator algebra $V$, defined by Dong, Li and Mason, to the category of admissible $V$-modules and admissible twisted $V$-modules, respectively, using the method developed in the joint work \cite{HY1} with Y.-Z. Huang. The functors were first constructed by Dong, Li and Mason, but the importance of the new method, as in \cite{HY1}, is that we can apply the method to study objects without the commutator formula in the representation theory of vertex ope…
We prove that the weak associativity for modules for vertex algebras are equivalent to a residue formula for iterates of vertex operators, obtained using the weak associativity and the lower truncation property of vertex operators, together with a known formula expressing products of components of vertex operators as linear combinations of iterates of components of vertex operators. By requiring that these two formulas instead of the commutator formula hold, we construct a functor $S$ from the category of modules for Zhu's algebra of a vertex operator algebra $V$ to the category of $\mathbb{N}…
We introduce and study twist vertex operators for a (lower-bounded generalized) twisted modules for a grading-restricted vertex (super)algebra. We prove duality, weak associativity, a Jacobi identity, a generalized commutator formula, generalized weak commutativity, and convergence and commutativity for products of more than two operators involving twist vertex operators. These properties of twist vertex operators play an important role in the author's recent general, direct and explicit construction of (lower-bounded generalized) twisted modules.
This is a paper in a series to study quantum vertex algebras and their relations with various quantum algebras. In this paper, we introduce a notion of T-type quantum vertex algebra and a notion of $G$-covariant $ϕ$-coordinated quasi module for a $T$-type quantum vertex algebra with an automorphism group $G$. We refine and extend several previous results and we obtain a commutator formula for $G$-covariant $ϕ$-coordinated quasi modules. As an illustrating example, we study a special case of the deformed Virasoro algebra $\V_{p,q}$ with $q=-1$, to which we associate a Clifford vertex superalgeb…
We study the inclusion system of the quantum deformed 2 dimensional Yang- Mills root module to the graded root module of the U-dual modular group. The irreducible representation of the U-dual modular group is the quantum deformed black brane throat. We expose the isomorphism between coherent superposition of the topological amplitude and the space of the automorphic forms of the U-dual modular group.
The ring $\text{Diff}_{\mathbf{h}}(n)$ of $\mathbf{h}$-deformed differential operators appears in the theory of reduction algebras. In this thesis, we construct the rings of generalized differential operators on the $\mathbf{h}$-deformed vector spaces of $\mathfrak{gl}$-type. In contrast to the $q$-deformed vector spaces for which the ring of differential operators is unique up to an isomorphism, the general ring of $\mathbf{h}$-deformed differential operators $\text{Diff}_{\mathbf{h},σ}(n)$ is labeled by a rational function $σ$ in $n$ variables, satisfying an over-determined system of finite-…
We consider noncommutative geometries obtained from a triangular Drinfeld twist. This allows to construct and study a wide class of noncommutative manifolds and their deformed Lie algebras of infinitesimal diffeomorphisms. This way symmetry principles can be implemented. We review two main examples [15]-[18]: a) general covariance in noncommutative spacetime. This leads to a noncommutative gravity theory. b) Symplectomorphims of the algebra of observables associated to a noncommutative configuration space. This leads to a geometric formulation of quantization on noncommutative spacetime, i.e.,…
Nakajima introduced a $t$-deformation of $q$-characters, $(q,t)$-characters for short, and their twisted multiplication through the geometry of quiver varieties. The Nakajima $(q,t)$-characters of Kirillov-Reshetikhin modules satisfy a $t$-deformed $T$-system. The $T$-system is a discrete dynamical system that can be interpreted as a mutation relation in a cluster algebra in two different ways, depending on the choice of direction of evolution. In this paper, we show that the Nakajima $t$-deformed $T$-system of type $A_r$ forms a quantum mutation relation in a quantization of exactly one of th…
We use the Fock space representation of the quantum affine algebra of type $A^{(2)}_{2n}$ to obtain a description of the global crystal basis of its basic level 1 module. We formulate a conjecture relating this basis to decomposition matrices of spin symmetric groups in characteristic $2n+1$.
Creation operators are given for the three distinguished bases of the type BCD universal character ring of Koike and Terada yielding an elegant way of treating computations for all three types in a unified manner. Deformed versions of these operators create symmetric function bases whose expansion in the universal character basis, has polynomial coefficients in $q$ with non-negative integer coefficients. We conjecture that these polynomials are one-dimensional sums associated with crystal bases of finite-dimensional modules over quantized affine algebras for all nonexceptional affine types. Th…
In this paper we extend the eliminant construction of Burchnall and Chaundy for commuting differential operators in the Heisenberg algebra to the q-deformed Heisenberg algebra and show that it again provides annihilating curves for commuting elements, provided q satisfies a natural condition. As a side result we obtain estimates on the dimensions of the eigenspaces of elements of this algebra in its faithful module of Laurent series.
On the level-1 Fock space modules of the algebra $U_q(\hat{sl_n})$ we define a level-0 action $U_0$ of the $U_q(\hat{sl_n})$, and an action of an abelian algebra of conserved Hamiltonians commuting with the $U_0$. An irreducible decomposition of the Fock space with respect to the level-0 action is derived by constructing a base of the Fock space in terms of the Non-symmetric Macdonald Polynomials.
We initiate the study of a q-deformed geometry for quantum SU(2). In contrast with the usual properties of a spectral triple, we get that only twisted commutators between algebra elements and our Dirac operator are bounded. Furthermore, the resolvent only becomes compact when measured with respect to a trace on a semifinite von Neumann algebra which does not contain the quantum group. We show that the zeta function at the identity has a meromorphic continuation to the whole complex plane and that a large family of local Hochschild cocycles associated with our twisted spectral triple are twiste…
We study a scheme M closely related to the set of pairs of n by n-matrices with rank 1 commutator. We show that M is a reduced complete intersection with n+1 irreducible components, which we describe. There is a distinguished Lagrangian subvariety Nil in M. We introduce a category, C, of D-modules whose characteristic variety is contained in Nil. Simple objects of that category are analogous to Lusztig's character sheaves. We construct a functor of Quantum Hamiltonian reduction from category C to the category O for type A rational Cherednik algebra.
It is known that symmetric orbits in ${\bf g}^*$ for any simple Lie algebra ${\bf g}$ are equiped with a Poisson pencil generated by the Kirillov-Kostant-Souriau bracket and the reduced Sklyanin bracket associated to the "canonical" R-matrix. We realize quantization of this Poisson pencil on $\cp$ type orbits (i.e. orbits in $sl(n+1)^*$ whose real compact form is $ CP^n$) by means of q-deformed Verma modules.
We give a realization of the level zero fundamental weight representation $W(\varpi_k)$ of the quantum affine algebra $U_q'(\mf{g})$, when $\mf{g}$ has a maximal parabolic subalgebra of type $C_n$. We define a semisimple $U'_q({\mf g})$-module structure on $\E^{\otimes 2}$ in terms of q-deformed Clifford generators, where $\E$ is the exterior algebra generated by a dual natural representation $V$ of $U_q(\mf{sl}_{n})$. We show that each $W(\varpi_k)$ appears as an irreducible summand (not necessarily multiplicity free) in $\E^{\otimes 2}$. As a byproduct, we obtain a simple description of the …
Let $(M,ω)$ be a symplectic manifold, $\mathcal{D}\subset TM$ a real polarization on $M$ and $\wp$ a leaf of $\mathcal{D}$. We construct a Fedosov-type star-product $\ast_L$ on $M$ such that $C^\infty (\wp)[[h]]$ has a natural structure of left module over the deformed algebra $(C^\infty (M)[[h]], \ast_L)$. This generalizes the results of 0708.2626.
Let $k(S^2_q)$ be the "coordinate ring" of a quantum sphere. We introduce the cotangent module on the quantum sphere as a one-sided $k(S^2_q)$-module and show that there is no Yang-Baxter type operator converting it into a $k(S^2_q)$-bimodule which would be a flatly deformed object w.r.t. its classical counterpart. This implies non-flatness of any covariant differential calculus on the quantum sphere making use of the Leibniz rule. Also, we introduce the cotangent and tangent modules on generic quantum orbits and discuss some related problems of "braided geometry".
To give a unified treatment on the association of Lie algebras and vertex algebras, we study $(G,χ_ϕ)$-equivariant $ϕ$-coordinated quasi modules for vertex algebras, where $G$ is a group with $χ_ϕ$ a linear character of $G$ and $ϕ$ is an associate of the one-dimensional additive formal group. The theory of $(G,χ_ϕ)$-equivariant $ϕ$-coordinated quasi modules for nonlocal vertex algebra is established in \cite{JKLT}. In this paper, we concentrate on the context of vertex algebras. We establish several conceptual results, including a generalized commutator formula and a general construction of ve…
Based on the work of Ringel and Green, one can define the (Drinfeld) double Ringel--Hall algebra ${\mathscr D}(Q)$ of a quiver $Q$ as well as its highest weight modules. The main purpose of the present paper is to show that the basic representation $L(Λ_0)$ of ${\mathscr D}(Δ_n)$ of the cyclic quiver $Δ_n$ provides a realization of the $q$-deformed Fock space $\bigwedge^\infty$ defined by Hayashi. This is worked out by extending a construction of Varagnolo and Vasserot. By analysing the structure of nilpotent representations of $Δ_n$, we obtain a decomposition of the basic representation $L(Λ_…
We propose a ribbon braided category approach to zeta-functions in q-deformed geometry. As a proof of concept we compute $ζ_t(C^n)$ where $C^n$ is viewed as the standard representation in the category of modules of $U_q(sl_n)$. We show that the same $ζ_t(C^n)$ is obtained for the $n$-dimensional representation in the category of $U_q(sl_2)$ modules. We show that this implies and is equivalent to the generating function for the decomposition into irreducibles of the symmetric tensor products $S^j(V)$ for $V$ an irreducible representation of $sl_2$. We discuss $ζ_t(C_q(S^2))$ for the standard q-…
