The asymptotic stability of several homological invariants of the graded pieces of a graded module has attracted quite a lot of attention over the last decades. We provide in this text several stability results together with estimates of the degree from which it stabilizes. Before we establish these regularity results, we prove several facts about depth and cohomological dimension with respect to a finitely generated ideal and about Castelnuovo-Mumford regularity of a graded module.
The main focus is the generic freeness of local cohomology modules in a graded setting. The present approach takes place in a quite nonrestrictive setting, by solely assuming that the ground coefficient ring is Noetherian. Under additional assumptions, such as when the latter is reduced or a domain, the outcome turns out to be stronger. One important application of these considerations is to the specialization of rational maps and of symmetric and Rees powers of a module.

The Hochschild cohomology of a differential graded algebra, or a differential graded category, admits a natural map to the graded center of its homology category: the characteristic homomorphism. We interpret it as an edge homomorphism in a spectral sequence. This gives a conceptual explanation of the failure of the characteristic homomorphism to be injective or surjective, in general. To illustrate this, we discuss modules over the dual numbers, coherent sheaves over algebraic curves, as well as examples related to free loop spaces and string topology.
Let $R$ be a polynomial ring over a field. We describe the extremal rays and the facets of the cone of local cohomology tables of finitely generated graded $R$-modules of dimension at most two. Moreover, we show that any point inside the cone can be written as a finite linear combination, with positive rational coefficients, of points belonging to the extremal rays of the cone. We also provide algorithms to obtain decompositions in terms of extremal points and facets.
We give a combinatorial description of local cohomology modules of a graded module over a semigroup ring, with support at the graded maximal ideal. This combinatorial framework yields Hochster-type formulas for the Hilbert series of such local cohomology modules in terms of the homology of finitely many polyhedral cell complexes. In this article we extend a previous definition of Castelnuovo-Mumford regularity for modules over an algebra graded by a finitely generated abelian group. Our notion of regularity is based on Maclagan and Smith's definition, and is extended first by working over any commutative base ring, and second by considering local cohomology with support in an arbitrary finitely generated graded ideal $B$, obtaining, for each $B$, a $B$-regularity region. We develop a local cohomology theory for FI$^m$-modules, and show that it in many ways mimics the classical theory for multi-graded modules over a polynomial ring. We prove an inequality between Hilbert functions of local cohomology modules supported in the homogeneous maximal ideal of standard graded algebras over a field, within the framework of embeddings of posets of Hilbert functions. As a main application, we prove an analogue for local cohomology of Evans' Lex-Plus-Power Conjecture for Betti numbers. We introduce reg_R (M,N) by using the notion of generalized local cohomology instead of local cohomology, in the definition of regularity. We prove that reg_R (M,N)is finite in several cases. The Hilbert functions and the regularity of the graded components of local cohomology of a bigraded algebra are considered. Explicit bounds for these invariants are obtained for bigraded hypersurface rings.
Let $R$ be a polynomial ring over a field $K$ of arbitrary characteristic and $D$ be the ring of differential operators over $R$. Inspired by Euler formula for homogeneous polynomials, we introduce a class of graded $D$-modules, called Eulerian graded $D$-modules. We introduce the notion of E-depth of graded modules over polynomial rings to measure the depth of certain Ext modules. First, we characterize graded modules over polynomial rings with (sufficiently) large E-depth as those modules whose (sufficiently) partial general initial submodules preserve the Hilbert function of local cohomology modules supported at the irrelevant maximal ideal, extending a result of Herzog and Sbarra on sequentially Cohen-Macaulay modules. Graded skew-commutative rings occur often in practice. Here are two examples: 1) The cohomology ring of a compact three-dimensional manifold. 2) The cohomology ring of the complement of a hyperplane arrangement (the Orlik-Solomon algebra). The main result of the paper states that for a graded ideal I in a polynomial ring R over a field of characteristic 0, the Hilbert functions of the local cohomology modules of R/I and of R/Gin(I) coincide if and only if R/I is sequentially Cohen-Macaulay.
