Using the quantum double method, we construct a universal R-matrix for the quantization of the Lie superalgebra D(2,1,x). We use this result to construct a link invariant and show it coincides with a specialization of Kauffman's Dubrovnik polynomial.
We develop a generic reprersentation-independent contraction procedure for obtaining, for instance, $R_{\sf h}$ and $L$ operators of arbitrary dimensions for the quantized ${\cal U}_{\sf h}(osp(2|1))$ algebra corresponding to the classical $r_2$ matrix from the pertinent quantities of the standard q-deformed ${\cal U}_q(osp(2|1))$ algebra. Also the quantized ${\bf U_h}(osp(2|1))$ algebra corresponding to the classical $r_1$ matrix comprising of the generators of the classical $sl(2)$ algebra is obtained in terms of a nonlinear basis set.
We construct a new family of irreducible modules over any basic classical affine Kac-Moody Lie superalgebra which are induced from modules over the Heisenberg subalgebra. We also obtain irreducible deformations of these modules for the quantum affine superalgebra of type A.
The recently proposed jordanian quantization of the Lie superalgebra $osp(1|2)$ due to the embedding $sl(2) \subset osp(1|2)$, is extended including odd generators into the twisting element $\cal F$. This deformation is obtained as a contraction of the quantum superalgebra ${\cal U}_{q}(osp(1|2))$.
Drinfeld Yangian of a queer Lie superalgebra is defined as the quantization of a Lie bisuperelgebra of twisted polynomial currents. An analogue of the new system of generators of Drinfeld is being constructed. It is proved for the partial case Lie superalgebra $sq_1$ that this so defined Yangian and the Yangian, introduced earlier by M. Nazarov using the Faddeev-Reshetikhin-Takhtadzhjan approach, are isomorphic.
In this paper we use the Etingof-Kazhdan quantization of Lie bi-superalgebras to investigate some interesting questions related to Drinfeld-Jimbo type superalgebra associated to a Lie superalgebra of classical type. It has been shown that the D-J type superalgebra associated to a Lie superalgebra of type A-G, with the distinguished Cartan matrix, is isomorphic to the E-K quantization of the Lie superalgebra. The first main result in the present paper is to extend this to arbitrary Cartan matrices. This paper also contains two other main results: 1) a theorem stating that all highest weight mod…
This paper generalize [7](math.GT/0601291): We construct new links invariants from g, a type I basic classical Lie superalgebra. The construction uses the existence of an unexpected replacement of the vanishing quantum dimension of typical module. Using this, we get a multivariable link invariant associated to any one parameter family of irreducible g-modules.
The classical invariant theory for the queer Lie superalgebra is an investigation of the $\mathrm{U}(\mathfrak{q}_n)$-invariant sub-superalgebra of the symmetric superalgebra $\mathrm{Sym}(V^{\oplus r}\oplus V^{*\oplus s})$ for $V=\mathbb{C}^{n|n}$. We establish the first fundamental theorem of invariant theory for the quantum queer superalgebra $\mathrm{U}_q(\mathfrak{q}_n)$. The key ingredient is a quantum analog $\mathcal{O}_{r,s}$ of the symmetric superalgebra $\mathrm{Sym}(V^{\oplus r}\oplus V^{*\oplus s})$ that is created as a braided tensor product of a quantization $\mathsf{A}_{r,n}$ o…
Following V. Drinfeld and G. Olshansky, we construct Manin triples $(\fg, \fa, \fa^*)$ such that $\fg$ is different from Drinfeld's doubles of $\fa$ for several series of Lie superalgebras $\fa$ which have no even invariant bilinear form (periplectic, Poisson and contact) and for a remarkable exception. Straightforward superization of suitable Etingof--Kazhdan's results guarantee then the uniqueness of $q$-quantization of our Lie bialgebras. Our examples give solutions to the quantum Yang-Baxter equation in the cases when the classical YB equation has no solutions. To find explicit solutions i…
The usual construction of link invariants from quantum groups applied to the superalgebra D_{2 1,alpha} is shown to be trivial. One can modify this construction to get a two variable invariant. Unusually, this invariant is additive with respect to connected sum or disjoint union. This invariant contains an infinity of Vassiliev invariants that are not seen by the quantum invariants coming from Lie algebras (so neither by the colored HOMFLY-PT nor by the colored Kauffman polynomials).
A new general eigenvalue formula for the eigenvalues of Casimir invariants, for the type-I quantum superalgebras, is applied to the construction of link polynomials associated with {\em any} finite dimensional unitary irrep for these algebras. This affords a systematic construction of new two-variable link polynomials asociated with any finite dimensional irrep (with a real highest weight) for the type-I quantum superalgebras. In particular infinite families of non-equivalent two-variable link polynomials are determined in fully explicit form.
For every semi-simple Lie algebra one can construct the Drinfeld-Jimbo algebra U. This algebra is a deformation Hopf algebra defined by generators and relations. To study the representation theory of U, Drinfeld used the KZ-equations to construct a quasi-Hopf algebra A. He proved that particular categories of modules over the algebras U and A are tensor equivalent. Analogous constructions of the algebras U and A exist in the case of Lie superalgebra of type A-G. However, Drinfeld's proof of the above equivalence of categories does not generalize to Lie superalgebras. In this paper, we will dis…
In 1998, A.Alekseev and E.Meinrenken construct an explicit $G$-differential space homomorphism $\mathcal{Q}$, called the quantization map, between the Weil algebra $\Weil{\g}= \sym{\co{\g}} \otimes \ext{\co{\g}}$ and $\NWeil{\g}=\U{\g} \otimes \Cl{\g}$ (which they called the noncommutative Weil algebra) for any quadratic Lie algebra $\g$. They showed that $\mathcal{Q}$ induces an algebra isomorphism between the basic cohomology rings $H^{\ast}_{bas}(\Weil{g})$ and $H^{\ast}_{bas}(\NWeil{\g})$. In this paper, I interpret the quantization map $\mathcal{Q}$ as the super Duflo map between the symm…
We study the behavior of the Etingof-Kazhdan quantization functors under the natural duality operations of Lie bialgebras and Hopf algebras. In particular, we prove that these functors are "compatible with duality", i.e., they commute with the operation of duality followed by replacing the coproduct by its opposite. We then show that any quantization functor with this property also commutes with the operation of taking doubles. As an application, we show that the Etingof-Kazhdan quantization of some affine Lie superalgebras coincide with their Drinfeld-Jimbo-type quantizations.
The limiting transitions between different types of quantizations are studied by the deformation theory methods. We prove that for the first order coboundary deformation (g,g*_1 + x g*_2) of a Lie bialgebra (g,g*) one can always get the quantized Lie bialgebra (g,g*_2) as a limit of the sequence of quantizations of the type A(g,g*_1). The obtained results are illustrated by some low-dimensional examples of quantized Lie algebras and superalgebras.
The famous Drinfeld-Kohno theorem for simple Lie algebras states that the monodromy representation of the Knizhnik-Zamolodchikov equations for these Lie algebras expresses explicitly via R-matrices of the corresponding Drinfeld-Jimbo quantum groups. This result was generalized by the second author to simple Lie superalgebras of type A-G. In this paper, we generalize the Drinfeld-Kohno theorem to the case of the trigonometric Knizhnik-Zamolodchikov equations for simple Lie superalgebras of type A-G. The equations contain a classical r-matrix on the Lie superalgebra, and the answer expresses thr…
We discuss two-parameter deformations of an universal enveloping algebra $U(g[u])$ of a polynomial loop algebra $g[u]$, where $g$ is a finite-dimensional complex simple Lie algebra (or superalgebra). These deformations are Hopf algebras. One deformation called Drinfeldian is a quantization of $U(g[u])$ in the direction of a classical r-matrix which is a sum of the simplest rational and trigonometric r-matrices. Another deformation (discussed only for the case $g=sl_{2}$) is a twisting of the usual Yangian $Y_η(sl_{2})$.
We prove the unrolled superalgebra $\mathcal{U}_ξ^{H}\mathfrak{sl}(2|1)$ has a completion which is a ribbon superalgebra in a topological sense where $ξ$ is a root of unity of odd order. Using this ribbon superalgebra we construct its universal invariant of links. We use it to construct an invariant of $3$-manifolds of Hennings type.
The twisting function describing a nonstandard (super-Jordanian) quantum deformation of $osp(1|2)$ is given in explicite closed form. The quantum coproducts and universal R-matrix are presented. The non-uniqueness of the twisting function as well as two real forms of the deformed $osp(1|2)$ superalgebras are considered. One real quantum $osp(1|2)$ superalgebra is interpreted as describing the $κ$-deformation of D=1, N=1 superconformal algebra, which can be applied as a symmetry algebra of N=1 superconformal mechanics.
The quantum double for the quantized BRST superalgebra is studied. The corresponding R-matrix is explicitly constucted. The Hopf algebras of the double form an analytical variety with coordinates described by the canonical deformation parameters. This provides the possibility to construct the nontrivial quantization of the proper time supergroup cotangent bundle. The group-like classical limit for this quantization corresponds to the generic super Lie bialgebra of the double.
We consider a superextension of the extended Jordanian twist, describing nonstandard quantization of anti-de-Sitter ($AdS$) superalgebra $osp(1|4)$ in the form of Hopf superalgebra. The super-Jordanian twisting function and corresponding basic coproduct formulae for the generators of $osp(1|4)$ are given in explicit form. The nonlinear transformation of the classical superalgebra basis not modifying the defining algebraic relations but simplifying coproducts and antipodes is proposed. Our physical application is to interpret the new super-Jordanian deformation of $osp(1|4)$ superalgebra as def…
We construct two-parameter deformation of an universal enveloping algebra $U(g[u])$ of a polynomial loop algebra $g[u]$, where $g$ is a finite-dimensional complex simple Lie algebra (or superalgebra). This new quantum Hopf algebra called the Drinfeldian $D_{qη}(g)$ can be considered as a quantization of $U(g[u])$ in the direction of a classical r-matrix which is a sum of the simple rational and trigonometric r-matrices. The Drinfeldian $D_{qη}(g)$ contains $U_{q}(g)$ as a Hopf subalgebra, moreover $U_{q}(g[u])$ and $Y_η(g)$ are its limit quantum algebras when the $D_{qη}(g)$ deformation parame…
We define and study the properties of observables associated to any link in $Σ\times {\bf R}$ (where $Σ$ is a compact surface) using the combinatorial quantization of hamiltonian Chern-Simons theory. These observables are traces of holonomies in a non commutative Yang-Mills theory where the gauge symmetry is ensured by a quantum group. We show that these observables are link invariants taking values in a non commutative algebra, the so called Moduli Algebra. When $Σ=S^2$ these link invariants are pure numbers and are equal to Reshetikhin-Turaev link invariants.
We study Kontsevich's deformation quantization for the dual of a finite-dimensional real Lie algebra (or superalgebra) g. In this case the Kontsevich star-product defines a new convolution on S(g), regarded as the space of distributions supported at 0 in g. For p in S(g), we show that the convolution operator f->f*p is a differential operator with analytic germ. We use this fact to prove a conjecture of Kashiwara and Vergne on invariant distributions on a Lie group. This yields a new proof of Duflo's result on local solvability of bi-invariant differential operators on a Lie group. Moreover, t…
We construct a non-formal deformation machinery for the actions of the Heisenberg supergroup analogue to the one developed by M. Rieffel for the actions of R^d. However, the method used here differs from Rieffel's one: we obtain a Universal Deformation Formula for the actions of R^{m|n} as a byproduct of Weyl ordered Kirillov's orbit method adapted to the graded setting. To do so, we have to introduce the notion of C*-superalgebra, which is compatible with the deformation, and which can be seen as corresponding to noncommutative superspaces. We also use this construction to interpret the renor…
By considering spaces of directed Jacobi diagrams, we construct a diagrammatic version of the Etingof-Kazhdan quantization of complex semisimple Lie algebras. This diagrammatic quantization is used to provide a construction of a directed version of the Kontsevich integral, denoted $Z_EK$, in a way which is analogous to the construction of the Reshetikhin-Turaev invariants from the R-matrices of the Drinfel'd-Jimbo quantum groups. Based on this analogy, we conjecture (and prove in a restricted sense) a formula for the value of the invariant $Z_EK$ on the unknot. This formula is simpler than the…
By the supersymmetrization of a simple algebraic technique proposed in \cite{LuTo2017} we obtain the complete classification of all basic (nonisomorphic) quantum deformations for the orthosymplectic Lie superalgebra $\mathfrak{osp}(1|2;\mathbb{C})$ and its pseudoreal and real forms in terms of the classical $r$-matrices. In particular, we prove that pseudoreal compact form has only one quantum deformation (standart $q$-analog), and the $D=3$, $N=1$ Lorentz supersymmetry, which is the non-compact real form of $\mathfrak{osp}(1|2;\mathbb{C})$, has four different Hopf-algebraic quantum deformatio…
In [ZH], R.B. Zhang found a way to link certain formal deformations of the Lie algebra o(2l+1) and the Lie superalgebra osp(1,2l). The aim of this article is to reformulate the Zhang transformation in the context of the quantum enveloping algebras "à la" Drinfeld-Jimbo and to show how this construction can explain the main theorem of [GL2]: the annihilator of a Verma module over the Lie superalgebra osp(1,2l) is generated by its intersection with the centralizer of the even part of the enveloping algbra.
This paper describes a method to obtain state model parameters for an infinite series of Links-Gould link invariants LG^{m,n}, based on quantum R matrices associated with the (\dot{0}_m | \dotα_n) representations of the quantum superalgebras U_q[gl(m|n)]. Explicit details of the state models for the cases n=1 and m=1,2,3,4 are supplied. Some evaluations of the new link invariants are provided, as are some of their gross properties.
In this paper we construct a multivariable link invariant arising from the quantum group associated to the special linear Lie superalgebra sl(2|1). The usual quantum group invariant of links associated to (generic) representations of sl(2|1) is trivial. However, we modify this construction and define a nontrivial link invariant. This new invariant can be thought of as a multivariable version of the Links-Gould invariant. We also show that after a variable reduction our invariant specializes to the Conway potential function, which is a version of the multivariable Alexander polynomial.
We introduce and study in detail an invariant of (1,1) tangles. This invariant, derived from a family of four dimensional representations of the quantum superalgebra U_q[gl(2|1)], will be referred to as the Links-Gould invariant. We find that our invariant is distinct from the Jones, HOMFLY and Kauffman polynomials (detecting chirality of some links where these invariants fail), and that it does not distinguish mutants or inverses. The method of evaluation is based on an abstract tensor state model for the invariant that is quite useful for computation as well as theoretical exploration.
In this paper we give a re-normalization of the Reshetikhin-Turaev quantum invariants of links, by modified quantum dimensions. In the case of simple Lie algebras these modified quantum dimensions are proportional to the usual quantum dimensions. More interestingly we will give two examples where the usual quantum dimensions vanish but the modified quantum dimensions are non-zero and lead to non-trivial link invariants. The first of these examples is a class of invariants arising from Lie superalgebras previously defined by the first two authors. These link invariants are multivariable and gen…
In this paper we define an algebra structure on the vector space $L(Σ)$ generated by links in the manifold $Σ\times [0,1]$ where $Σ$ is an oriented surface. This algebra has a filtration and the associated graded algebra $L_{Gr}(Σ)$ is naturally a Poisson algebra. There is a Poisson algebra homomorphism from the algebra of chord diagrams $ch(Σ)$ on $Σ$ to $L_{Gr}(Σ)$. We show that multiplication in $L(Σ)$ provides a geometric way to define a deformation quantization of the algebra of chord diagrams, provided there is a universal Vassiliev invariant for links in $Σ\times [0,1]$. The quantizatio…
In this paper we investigate the construction of state models for link invariants using representations of the braid group obtained from various gauge choices for a solution of the trigonometric Yang-Baxter equation. Our results show that it is possible to obtain invariants of regular isotopy (as defined by Kauffman) which may not be ambient isotopic. We illustrate our results with explicit computations using solutions of the trigonometric Yang-Baxter equation associated with the one-parameter family of minimal typical representations of the quantum superalgebra U_q[gl(2|1)]. We have implement…
All possible Lie bialgebra structures on the harmonic oscillator algebra are explicitly derived and it is shown that all of them are of the coboundary type. A non-standard quantum oscillator is introduced as a quantization of a triangular Lie bialgebra, and a universal $R$-matrix linked to this new quantum algebra is presented.
We present a definition of an invariant #(M,H), defined for every finite-dimensional Hopf algebra (or Hopf superalgebra or Hopf object) H and for every closed, framed 3-manifold M. When H is a quantized universal enveloping algebra, #(M,H) is closely related to well-known quantum link invariants such as the HOMFLY polynomial, but it is not a topological quantum field theory.
In this article we construct link invariants and 3-manifold invariants from the quantum group associated with Lie superalgebra $\mathfrak{sl}(2|1)$. This construction based on nilpotent irreducible finite dimensional representations of quantum group $\mathcal{U}_ξ\mathfrak{sl}(2|1)$ where $ξ$ is a root of unity of odd order. These constructions use the notion of modified trace and relative $\mathit{G}$-modular category.
We define generalized bialgebras and Hopf algebras and on this basis we introduce quantum categories and quantum groupoids. The quantization of the category of linear (super)spaces is constructed. We establish a criterion for the classical value of the dimension of the polynomial function algebra on the full subcategory of this quantum category specified by Sudbery type commutation relations for quantum vector spaces (the ``Poincare -- Birkhoff -- Witt property''). The criterion is the equality of the ``quantum constants'' $c_\a=c_\b^{\pm 1}$ of the quantum vector spaces. (These constants appe…

The ``Links-Gould invariant'' is a two-variable Laurent polynomial invariant of oriented (1,1) tangles, which is derived from the representation of the braid generator associated with the one-parameter family of four dimensional representations with highest weights (0,0|a) of the quantum superalgebra U_q[gl(2|1)]. We use an abstract tensor state model to evaluate the invariant, as per the construction of the bracket polynomial state model used by Louis Kauffman to derive the Jones polynomial. This model facilitates both computation and theoretical exploration. Our family of representations has…
One way of reconciling classical and quantum mechanics is deformation quantization, which involves deforming the commutative algebra of functions on a Poisson manifold to a non-commutative, associative algebra, reminiscent of the space of quantum observables. This depends on a formal parameter $\hbar$, so that the original pointwise product is recovered when $\hbar=0$. In 1997 Kontsevich showed that a deformation quantization exists for every Poisson manifold. He furthermore gave a simple, combinatorial formula for producing a quantization of any Poisson structure on $\mathbb{R}^n$. The primar…
