In this paper, first, we introduce a notion of modified Rota-Baxter Lie algebras of weight $\mathrmλ$ with derivations (or simply modified Rota-Baxter LieDer pairs) and their representations. Moreover, we investigate cohomologies of a modified Rota-Baxter LieDer pairs with coefficients in a suitable representation. As applications, we study formal one-parameter deformations and abelian extensions of modified Rota-Baxter LieDer pairs.

We study possible connections between Rota-Baxter operators of non-zero weight and non-skew-symmetric solutions of the classical Yang-Baxter equation on finite-dimensional quadratic Lie algebras. We generalize the notion of a Rota-Baxter operator on groups and the notion of a Rota-Baxter operator of weight 1 on Lie algebras and define and study the notion of a Rota-Baxter operator on a cocommutative Hopf algebra $H$. If $H=F[G]$ is the group algebra of a group $G$ or $H=U(\mathfrak{g})$ the universal enveloping algebra of a Lie algebra $\mathfrak{g}$, then we prove that Rota-Baxter operators on $H$ are in one to one correspondence with corresponding Rota-Baxter operators on groups or Lie algebras.
We consider a complete filtered Rota-Baxter algebra of weight $λ$ over a commutative ring. Finding the unique solution of a non-homogeneous linear algebraic equation in this algebra, we generalize Spitzer's identity in both commutative and non-commutative cases. A further study on an $L_\infty$-algebra structure associated to this cohomology theory will be given in a subsequent paper.

We classify monomial Rota-Baxter operators defined on the algebra of polynomials in one variable without constant term. We also describe injective monomial Rota--Baxter operators of nonzero weight on the algebra of polynomials in several variables without constant term.
Rota-Baxter systems are modified by the inclusion of a curvature term. It is shown that, subject to specific properties of the curvature form, curved Rota-Baxter systems $(A,R,S,ω)$ induce associative and (left) pre-Lie products on the algebra $A$. It is also shown that if both Rota-Baxter operators coincide with each other and the curvature is $A$-bilinear, then the (modified by $R$) Hochschild cohomology ring over $A$ is a curved differential graded algebra.

The intensive study of Rota-Baxter operators on the polynomial algebra $F[x]$ has been started with the work of S.H. Zheng, L. Guo, and M. Rosenkranz (2015). We deal with the case of two variables and monomial Rota-Baxter operators of nonzero weight. The family of such operators arisen from homomorphic averaging operators on $F[x,y]$ is described.

In this paper, we construct free Lie Rota-Baxter superalgebra by using Gröbner-Shirshov bases theory. We firstly construct free operated Lie superalgebras by the operated super-Lyndon-Shirshov monomials. Secondly, we establish Gröbner-Shirshov bases theory for operated Lie superalgebras. Thirdly, we find a Gröbner-Shirshov basis of a free Lie Rota-Baxter superalgebra on a $\mathbb{Z}_2$-graded set. Consequently, we can obtain a linear basis of a free Lie Rota-Baxter superalgebra by the composition-diamond lemma for operated Lie superalgebras.
In this paper, we consider Rota-Baxter operators on involutive associative algebras. We define cohomology for Rota-Baxter operators on involutive algebras that governs the formal deformation of the operator. This cohomology can be seen as the Hochschild cohomology of a certain involutive associative algebra with coefficients in a suitable involutive bimodule. We also relate this cohomology with the cohomology of involutive dendriform algebras.
