A well known result of Breulmann states that Hecke eigenvalues of Saito-Kurokawa lifts are positive. In this article, we show that the Hecke eigenvalues of an Ikeda lift at primes are positive. Further, we derive lower and upper bounds of these Hecke eigenvalues for all primes $p$. One of the main ingredients involves expressing the Hecke eigenvalues of an Ikeda lift in terms of certain reciprocal polynomials.
We compute the twisted Koecher-Maass series of the first and second kind of the Ikeda type lift for the exceptional group of type $E_{7,3}$. As an application, we obtain their rationality result.
Let $k$ and $n$ be positive even integers. For a Hecke eigenform $h$ in the Kohnen plus subspace of weight $k-n/2+1/2$ for $\varGamma_0(4)$, let $I_n(h)$ be the Duke-Imamoglu-Ikeda lift of $h$ to the space of cusp forms of weight $k$ for $Sp_n(\mathbb Z)$. We then give an estimate of the Fourier coefficients of $I_n(h)$. It is better than the usual Hecke bound for the Fourier coefficients of a Siegel cusp form.
In our previous work, he second and the third named authors constructed the Ikeda type lift for the exceptional group $E_{7,3}$ from an elliptic modular cusp form. In this paper, we prove an explicit formula for the period or the Petersson norm of the Ikeda type lift in terms of the product of the special values of the symmetric square $L$-function of the elliptic modular form. There are similar works done by the first author with his collaborator, but new technical inputs are required and developed to overcome some difficulties coming from the hugeness of $E_{7,3}$.
For two Hecke eigenforms $h_1$ and $h_2$ in the Kohnen plus space of half-integral weight, let $I_n(h_1)$ and $I_n(h_2)$ be the Duke-Imamoglu-Ikeda lift of $h_1$ and $h_2$, respectively, which are Siegel cusp forms with respect to $Sp_n(\ZZ)$. Moreover, let $E_{n/2+1/2}$ be the Cohen Eisenstein series of weight $n/2+1/2$. We then express the Rankin-Selberg convolution $R(s,I_n(h_1),I_n(h_2))$ of $I_n(h_1)$ and $I_n(h_2)$ in terms of a certain Dirichlet series $D(s,h_1,h_2,E_{n/2+1/2})$, which is similar to the triple convolution product of $h_1, h_2$ and $E_{n/2+1/2}$. We apply our formula to …
In this article we obtain an explicit formula for certain Rankin-Selberg type Dirichlet series associated to certain Siegel cusp forms of half-integral weight. Here these Siegel cusp forms of half-integral weight are obtained from the composition of the Ikeda lift and the Eichler-Zagier-Ibukiyama correspondence. The integral weight version of the main theorem had been obtained by Katsurada and Kawamura. The result of the integral weight case is a product of $L$-function and Riemann zeta functions, while half-integral weight case is a infinite summation over negative fundamental discriminants w…
Miyawaki type lifts are kinds of Langlands functorial lifts and a special case was first conjectured by Miyawaki and proved by Ikeda for Siegel cusp forms. Since then, such a lift for Hermitian modular forms was constructed by Atobe and Kojima , and for half-integral weight Siegel cusp forms by Hayashida, and we constructed Miyawaki type lift for ${\rm GSpin}(2,10)$. Recently Ikeda and Yamana generalized Ikeda type construction and accordingly did Miyawaki type lift for Hilbert cusp forms in a remarkable way. In all these works, a construction of Miyawaki type lift takes two steps as follows: …
In this paper we provide a sufficient condition for a prime to be a congruence prime for an automorphic form $f$ on the unitary group $U(n,n)(A_F)$ for a large class of totally real fields $F$ via a divisibility of a special value of the standard $L$-function associated to $f$. We also study $\ell$-adic properties of the Fourier coefficients of an Ikeda lift $I_ϕ$ (of an elliptic modular form $ϕ$) on $U(n,n)(A_{\mathbf{Q}})$ proving that they are $\ell$-adic integers which do not all vanish modulo $\ell$. Finally we combine these results to show that the condition of $\ell$ being a congruence …
We prove a result on the distribution of Hecke eigenvalues, $μ_F(p^r)$ (for $r=1,2$ or $3$) of a non Saito--Kurokawa lift $F$ of degree $2$. As a consequence, we obtain an Omega result for the Hecke eigenvalues for such an $F$, which is the best possible in terms of orders of magnitude.
By using new techniques with the degenerate Whittaker functions found by Ikeda-Yamana, we construct higher level cusp form on $E_{7,3}$, called Ikeda type lift, from any Hecke cusp form whose corresponding automorphic representation has no supercuspidal local components. This generalizes the previous results on level one forms. But there are new phenomena in higher levels; first, we can handle non-trivial central characters. Second, the lift depends only on the restriction of the Hecke cusp form to $SL_2$. Hence any twist of the cusp form gives rise to the same lift. However for square free le…
We prove two finiteness results for reductions of Hecke orbits of abelian varieties over local fields: one in the case of supersingular reduction and one in the case of reductive monodromy. As an application, we show that only finitely many abelian varieties on a fixed isogeny leaf admit CM lifts, which in particular implies that in each fixed dimension $g$ only finitely many supersingular abelian varieties admit CM lifts. Combining this with the Kuga-Satake construction, we also show that only finitely many supersingular $K3$-surfaces admit CM lifts. Our tools include $p$-adic Hodge theory an…
Let $F$ and $G$ be Siegel cusp forms for $\Sp_4(\Z)$ and weights $k_1, k_2$ respectively. Also let $F$ and $G$ be Hecke eigenforms lying in distinct eigen spaces. Further suppose that neither $F$ nor $G$ is a Saito-Kurokawa lift. In this article, we study simultaneous arithmetic behaviour of Hecke eigenvalues of these Hecke eigenforms.
In this paper we prove an explicit matching theorem for some Hecke elements in the case of (possibly ramified) cyclic base change for general linear groups over local fields of characteristic zero with odd residue characteristic under a mild assumption. A key observation, based on the works of Waldspurger and Ganapathy-Varma, is to regard the base change lifts with twisted endoscopic lifts and replace the condition for the matching orbital integrals with one for semi-simple descend in the twisted space according to Waldspurger's fundamental work "L'endoscopie tordue n'est pas si tordue".
In this paper, we write down the local Brauer classes of the endomorphism algebras of motives attached to non-CM primitive Hecke eigenforms for all supercuspidal primes in terms of traces of adjoint lifts at auxiliary primes. We give an alternative proof of the result for odd primes $p$ obtained in [MR3391026] and write down the ramification formulas for odd unramified supercuspidal primes of level zero also removing a mild hypothesis of [MR3391026]. We also give a complete description of ramifications for $p=2$. The philosophy of adjoint lifts help us to determine the local Brauer classes at …
