We consider an $XYZ$ spin chain within the framework of the generalized algebraic Bethe ansatz. We calculate the actions of monodromy matrix elements on Bethe vectors as a linear combination of new Bethe vectors. We also compute the multiple action of the gauge transformed monodromy matrix elements on the pre-Bethe vector and conceive the result in terms of a partition function of the 8-vertex model.
Multiple actions of the monodromy matrix elements onto off-shell Bethe vectors in the $\mathfrak{gl}(m|n)$-invariant quantum integrable models are calculated. These actions are used to describe recursions for the highest coefficients in the sum formula for the scalar product. For simplicity, detailed proofs are given for the $\mathfrak{gl}(m)$ case. The results for the supersymmetric case can be obtained similarly and are formulated without proofs.
We consider $\mathfrak{gl}_2$-invariant quantum integrable models solvable by the algebraic Bethe ansatz. We show that the form of on-shell Bethe vectors is preserved under certain twist transformations of the monodromy matrix. We also derive the actions of the twisted monodromy matrix entries onto twisted off-shell Bethe vectors.
We study integrable models solvable by the nested algebraic Bethe ansatz and described by $\mathfrak{gl}(2|1)$ or $\mathfrak{gl}(1|2)$ superalgebras. We obtain explicit determinant representations for form factors of the monodromy matrix entries. We show that all form factors are related to each other at special limits of the Bethe parameters. Our results allow one to obtain determinant formulas for form factors of local operators in the supersymmetric t-J model.
We propose a new approach to the spinor-spinor R-matrix with orthogonal and symplectic symmetry. Based on this approach and the fusion method we relate the spinor-vector and vector-vector monodromy matrices for quantum spin chains. We consider the explicit spinor R matrices of low rank orthogonal algebras and the corresponding RTT algebras. Coincidences with fundamental R matrices allow to relate the Algebraic Bethe Ansatz for spinor and vector monodromy matrices.
We consider closed XXX spin chains with broken total spin $U(1)$ symmetry within the framework of the modified algebraic Bethe ansatz. We study multiple actions of the modified monodromy matrix entries on the modified Bethe vectors. The obtained formulas of the multiple actions allow us to calculate the scalar products of the modified Bethe vectors. We find an analog of Izergin-Korepin formula for the scalar products. This formula involves modified Izergin determinants and can be expressed as sums over partitions of the Bethe parameters.
We study integrable models with $\mathfrak{gl}(2|1)$ symmetry and solvable by nested algebraic Bethe ansatz. We obtain a determinant representation for scalar products of Bethe vectors, when the Bethe parameters obey some relations weaker than the Bethe equations. This representation allows us to find the norms of on-shell Bethe vectors and obtain determinant formulas for form factors of the diagonal entries of the monodromy matrix.
We consider quantum integrable models associated with $\mathfrak{so}_3$ algebra. We describe Bethe vectors of these models in terms of the current generators of the $\mathcal{D}Y(\mathfrak{so}_3)$ algebra. To implement this approach we use isomorphism between $R$-matrix and Drinfeld current realizations of the Yangians and their doubles for classical types $B$, $C$, and $D$ series algebras. Using these results we derive the actions of the monodromy matrix elements on off-shell Bethe vectors. We show that these action formulas lead to recursions for off-shell Bethe vectors and Bethe equations f…
We study quantum integrable models with GL(3) trigonometric $R$-matrix and solvable by the nested algebraic Bethe ansatz. Using the presentation of the universal Bethe vectors in terms of projections of products of the currents of the quantum affine algebra $U_q(\hat{\mathfrak{gl}}_3)$ onto intersections of different types of Borel subalgebras, we prove that the set of the nested Bethe vectors is closed under the action of the elements of the monodromy matrix.
We consider a composite generalized quantum integrable model solvable by the nested algebraic Bethe ansatz. Using explicit formulas of the action of the monodromy matrix elements onto Bethe vectors in the GL(3)-based quantum integrable models we prove a formula for the Bethe vectors of composite model. We show that this representation is a particular case of general coproduct property of the weight functions (Bethe vectors) found in the theory of the deformed Knizhnik-Zamolodchikov equation.
We introduce a new tool, the Deformed TBA (Deformed Thermodynamic Bethe Ansatz), to analyze the monodromy problem of the cubic oscillator. The Deformed TBA is a system of five coupled nonlinear integral equations, which in a particular case reduces to the Zamolodchikov TBA equation for the 3-state Potts model. Our method generalizes the Dorey-Tateo analysis of the (monomial) cubic oscillator. We introduce a Y-system corresponding to the Deformed TBA and give it an elegant geometric interpretation.
We study scalar products of Bethe vectors in integrable models solvable by nested algebraic Bethe ansatz and possessing $\mathfrak{gl}(2|1)$ symmetry. Using explicit formulas of the monodromy matrix entries multiple actions onto Bethe vectors we obtain a representation for the scalar product in the most general case. This explicit representation appears to be a sum over partitions of the Bethe parameters. It can be used for the analysis of scalar products involving on-shell Bethe vectors. As a by-product, we obtain a determinant representation for the scalar products of generic Bethe vectors i…
We present in a simple terms the theory of the factorizing operator introduced recently by Maillet and Sanches de Santos for the spin - 1/2 chains. We obtain the explicit expressions for the matrix elements of the factorizing operator in terms of the elements of the Monodromy matrix. We use this results to derive the expression for the general scalar product for the quantum spin chain. We comment on the previous determination of the scalar product of Bethe eigenstate with an arbitrary dual state. We also establish the direct correspondence between the calculations of scalar products in the F- …
We present a nested algebraic Bethe ansatz for a one dimensional open spin chain whose boundary quantum spaces are irreducible $\mathfrak{so}_{2n}$- or $\mathfrak{sp}_{2n}$-representations and the monodromy matrix satisfies the defining relations of the Olshanskii twisted Yangian $Y^\pm(\mathfrak{gl}_{2n})$. We use a generalization of the Bethe ansatz introduced by De Vega and Karowski which allows us to relate the spectral problem of a $\mathfrak{so}_{2n}$- or $\mathfrak{sp}_{2n}$-symmetric open spin chain to that of a $\mathfrak{gl}_{n}$-symmetric periodic spin chain. We explicitly derive th…
We reconsider the open XXZ chain of Yang and Fendley. This model possesses a lattice supersymmetry which changes the length of the chain by one site. We perform an algebraic Bethe ansatz analysis of the model and derive the commutation relations of the lattice SUSY operators with the four elements of the open-chain monodromy matrix. Hence we give the action of the SUSY operator on off-shell and on-shell Bethe states. We show that this action generally takes one on-shell Bethe eigenstate to another. The exception is that a zero-energy vacuum state will be a SUSY singlet. The SUSY pairings of Be…
We present an ``algebraic treatment'' of the analytical Bethe ansatz for open spin chains with soliton non preserving (SNP) boundary conditions. For this purpose, we introduce abstract monodromy and transfer matrices which provide an algebraic framework for the analytical Bethe ansatz. It allows us to deal with a generic gl(N) open SNP spin chain possessing on each site an arbitrary representation. As a result, we obtain the Bethe equations in their full generality. The classification of finite dimensional irreducible representations for the twisted Yangians are directly linked to the calculat…
A general method is proposed for constructing the Bethe ansatz equations of integrable models without U(1) symmetry. As an example, the exact spectrum of the XXZ spin ring with M{\" o}bius like topological boundary condition is derived by constructing a modified T-Q relation based on the functional connection between the eigenvalues of the transfer matrix and the quantum determinant of the monodromy matrix. With the exact solution, the elementary excitations of the topological XX spin ring is discussed in detail. It is found that the excitation spectrum indeed shows a nontrivial topological na…
We find that the quantum monodromy matrix associated with a derivative nonlinear Schrodinger (DNLS) model exhibits U(2) or U(1,1) symmetry depending on the sign of the related coupling constant. By using a variant of quantum inverse scattering method which is directly applicable to field theoretical models, we derive all possible commutation relations among the operator valued elements of such monodromy matrix. Thus, we obtain the commutation relation between creation and annihilation operators of quasi-particles associated with DNLS model and find out the $S$-matrix for two-body scattering. W…
We present a detailed construction of a completely symmetric representation of the monodromy matrix by the use of Drinfel'd twists for the rational $sl(3)$ Heisenberg model without refering to the special symmetry of the model. With the help of this representation we are able to resolve the hierarchy of the nested Bethe wavevectors for the $sl(3)$ invariant rational Heisenberg model.
We discuss some fundamental properties of the XXZ spin chain, which are important in the algebraic Bethe-ansatz derivation for the multiple-integral representations of the spin-s XXZ correlation function with an arbitrary product of elementary matrices. For instance, we construct Hermitian conjugate vectors in the massless regime and introduce the spin-s Hermitian elementary matrices.
We show how any integrable 2D QFT enjoys the existence of infinitely many non--abelian {\it conserved} charges satisfying a Yang--Baxter symmetry algebra. These charges are generated by quantum monodromy operators and provide a representation of $q-$deformed affine Lie algebras. We review and generalize the work of de Vega, Eichenherr and Maillet on the bootstrap construction of the quantum monodromy operators to the sine--Gordon (or massive Thirring) model, where such operators do not possess a classical analogue. Within the light--cone approach to the mT model, we explicitly compute the eige…
We construct the quantum versions of the monodromy matrices of KdV theory. The traces of these quantum monodromy matrices, which will be called as ``${\bf T}$-operators'', act in highest weight Virasoro modules. The ${\bf T}$-operators depend on the spectral parameter $λ$ and their expansion around $λ= \infty$ generates an infinite set of commuting Hamiltonians of the quantum KdV system. The ${\bf T}$-operators can be viewed as the continuous field theory versions of the commuting transfer-matrices of integrable lattice theory. In particular, we show that for the values $c=1-3{{(2n+1)^2}\over …
We construct the Drinfeld twists (factorizing $F$-matrices) for the supersymmetric t-J model. Working in the basis provided by the $F$-matrix (i.e. the so-called $F$-basis), we obtain completely symmetric representations of the monodromy matrix and the pseudo-particle creation operators of the model. These enable us to resolve the hierarchy of the nested Bethe vectors for the $gl(2|1)$ invariant t-J model.
We obtain determinant representations for the form factors of the monodromy matrix entries in quantum integrable models solvable by the nested algebraic Bethe ansatz and possessing $GL(3)$-invariant $R$-matrix. These representations can be used for the calculation of correlation functions in the models of physical interest.
We consider the N-site U_{q}(gl(N)) integrable spin chain with periodic and open diagonal soliton-preserving boundary conditions. By employing analytical Bethe ansatz techniques we are able to determine the spectrum and the corresponding Bethe ansatz equations for the general case, where each site of the spin chain is associated to any representation of U_{q}(gl(N)). In the case of open spin chain, we study finite dimensional representations of the quantum reflection algebra, and prove in full generality that the pseudo-vacuum is a highest weight of the monodromy matrix. For these two types of…
A non homogeneous spin chain in the representations $ \{3 \}$ and $ \{3^*\}$ of $A_2$ is analyzed. We find that the naive nested Bethe ansatz is not applicable to this case. A method inspired in the nested Bethe ansatz, that can be applied to more general cases, is developed for that chain. The solution for the eigenvalues of the trace of the monodromy matrix is given as two coupled Bethe equations different from that for a homogeneous chain. A conjecture about the form of the solutions for more general chains is presented. PACS: 75.10.Jm, 05.50+q 02.20 Sv
In the framework of the quantum inverse scattering method, we consider a problem of constructing local operators for two-dimensional quantum integrable models, especially for the lattice versions of the nonlinear Schrodinger and sine-Gordon models. We show that a certain class of local operators can be constructed from the matrix elements of the monodromy matrix in a simple way. They are closely related to the quantum projectors and have nice commutation relations with the half of the matrix elements of the elementary monodromy matrix. The form factors of these operators can be calculated by u…
The algebra of monodromy matrices for sl(n) trigonometric R-matrices is studied. It is shown that a generic finite-dimensional polynomial irreducible representation of this algebra is equivalent to a tensor product of L-operators. Cocommutativity of representations is discussed. A special class of representations - factorizable representations is introduced and intertwiners for cocommuting factorizable representations are written through the Boltzmann weights of the sl(n) chiral Potts model. Let us consider an algebra generated by noncommutative entries of the matrix $T(u)$ satisfying the famo…
Using the fact the BTZ black hole is a quotient of AdS_3 we show that classical string propagation in the BTZ background is integrable. We construct the flat connection and its monodromy matrix which generates the non-local charges. From examining the general behaviour of the eigen values of the monodromy matrix we determine the set of integral equations which constrain them. These equations imply that each classical solution is characterized by a density function in the complex plane. For classical solutions which correspond to geodesics and winding strings we solve for the eigen values of th…
We introduce a new concept of quasi-Yang-Baxter algebras. The quantum quasi-Yang-Baxter algebras being simple but non-trivial deformations of ordinary algebras of monodromy matrices realize a new type of quantum dynamical symmetries and find an unexpected and remarkable applications in quantum inverse scattering method (QISM). We show that applying to quasi-Yang-Baxter algebras the standard procedure of QISM one obtains new wide classes of quantum models which, being integrable (i.e. having enough number of commuting integrals of motion) are only quasi-exactly solvable (i.e. admit an algebraic…
A generalization of the Yang-Baxter algebra is found in quantizing the monodromy matrix of two (m)KdV equations discretized on a space lattice. This braided Yang-Baxter equation still ensures that the transfer matrix generates operators in involution which form the Cartan sub-algebra of the braided quantum group. Representations diagonalizing these operators are described through relying on an easy generalization of Algebraic Bethe Ansatz techniques. The conjecture that this monodromy matrix algebra leads, {\it in the cylinder continuum limit}, to a Perturbed Minimal Conformal Field Theory des…
We consider the problem of diagonalization of the hamiltonians of the Gaudin model, which is a quantum chain model associated to a simple Lie algebra. The hamiltonians of this model act on the tensor product of finite-dimensional representations of this Lie algebra. We show that the eigenvalues of the Gaudin hamiltonians are encoded by the so-called "opers" on the projective line, associated to the Langlands dual Lie algebra. These opers have regular singularities at the marked points with prescribed residues and trivial monodromy representation. The Bethe Ansatz is a procedure to construct ex…
We construct the generalised Eigenfunctions of the entries of the monodromy matrix of the $N$-site modular XXZ magnet and show, in each case, that these form a complete orthogonal system in $L^2(\mathbb{R}^N)$. In particular, we develop a new and simple technique, allowing one to prove the completeness of such systems. As a corollary of out analysis, we prove the Bystko-Teschner conjecture relative to the structure of the spectrum of the $\boldsymbol{ \texttt{B} }(\la)$-operator for the odd length lattice Sinh-Gordon model.
The general expression for the local matrix $t(θ)$ of a quantum chain with the site space in any representation of su(3) is obtained. This is made by generalizing $t(θ)$ from the fundamental representation and imposing the fulfillment of the Yang-Baxter equation. Then, a non-homogeneous spin chain combining different representations of su(3) is solved by developing a method inspired in the nested Bethe ansatz. The solution for the eigenvalues of the trace of the monodromy matrix is given as two coupled Bethe equations. A conjecture about the solution of a chain with the site states in differen…
We consider the exact solution of a many-body problem of spin-$s$ particles interacting through an arbitrary U(1) invariant factorizable $S$-matrix. The solution is based on a unified formulation of the quantum inverse scattering method for an arbitrary $(2s+1)$-dimensional monodromy matrix. The respective eigenstates are shown to be given in terms of $2s$ creation fields by a general new recurrence relation. This allows us to derive the spectrum and the respective Bethe ansatz equations.
