Let $\mathfrak{g}$ be a finite-dimensional simple Lie algebra over $\mathbb{C}$. A $\operatorname{Y}(\mathfrak{g})$-module is said to be weight if it is a weight $\mathfrak{g}$-module. We give a complete classification of simple weight modules for $\operatorname{Y}(\mathfrak{sl}_2)$ which admits a one-dimensional weight space. We prove that there are four classes of such modules: finite, highest weight, lowest weight and dense modules. Different from the classical $\mathfrak{sl}_{2}$ representation theory, we show that there exist a class of $\operatorname{Y}(\mathfrak{sl}_{2})$ irreducible modules which have uniformly 2-dimensional weight spaces.
A homomorphism from the affine Yangian $Y_{\hbar,\varepsilon}(\widehat{\mathfrak{sl}}(n))$ to the affine Yangian $Y_{\hbar,\varepsilon}(\widehat{\mathfrak{sl}}(n+1))$
The affine Yangian of $\mathfrak{gl}_1$ has recently appeared simultaneously in the work of Maulik-Okounkov and Schiffmann-Vasserot in connection with the Alday-Gaiotto-Tachikawa conjecture. While the former presentation is purely geometric, the latter algebraic presentation is quite involved. In this article, we provide a simple loop realization of this algebra which can be viewed as an "additivization" of the quantum toroidal algebra of $\mathfrak{gl}_1$ in the same way as the Yangian $Y_h(\mathfrak{g})$ is an "additivization" of the quantum loop algebra $U_q(L\mathfrak{g})$ for a simple Lie…
We classify the "finite-dimensional" irreducible representations of the Yangians $Y(\mathfrak{gl}_t)$ and $Y(\mathfrak{sl}_t)$. These are associative ind-algebras in the Deligne category $\textbf{Rep}(GL_t)$, which generalize the regular Yangians $Y(\mathfrak{gl}_n)$ and $Y(\mathfrak{sl}_n)$ to complex rank. They were first defined by Etingof in his paper "Representation theory in complex rank". Here we solve Problem 7.2 from this paper. We work with the Deligne category $\textbf{Rep}(GL_t)$ using the ultraproduct approach introduced by Deligne and discussed by Nate Harman in arXiv:1601.03426.
Let $\mathfrak{g}$ be the exceptional complex simple Lie algebra of type $G_2$. We provide a concrete cyclicity condition for the tensor product of fundamental representations of the Yangian $Y(\mathfrak{g})$. Using this condition, we show that every local Weyl module is isomorphic to an ordered tensor product of fundamental representations of $Y(\mathfrak{g})$.
We provide a sufficient condition for the cyclicity of an ordered tensor product $L=V_{a_1}(ω_{b_1})\otimes V_{a_2}(ω_{b_2})\otimes...\otimes V_{a_k}(ω_{b_k})$ of fundamental representations of the Yangian $Y(\mathfrak{g})$. When $\mathfrak{g}$ is a classical simple Lie algebra, we make the cyclicity condition concrete, which leads to an irreducibility criterion for the ordered tensor product $L$. In the case when $\mathfrak{g}=\mathfrak{sl}_{l+1}$, a sufficient and necessary condition for the irreducibility of the ordered tensor product $L$ is obtained. The cyclicity of the ordered tensor pro…
We prove that the singularities of the $R$-matrix $R(k)$ of the minimal quantization of the adjoint representation of the Yangian $Y(\mathfrak g)$ of a finite dimensional simple Lie algebra $\mathfrak g$ are the opposite of the roots of the monic polynomial $p(k)$ entering in the OPE expansions of quantum fields of conformal weight $3/2$ of the universal minimal affine $W$-algebra at level $k$ attached to $\mathfrak g$.
We introduce a braid group action on $l$-tuple of rational functions for the finite-dimensional representations of Yangians $Y(\mathfrak{g})$, where $\mathfrak{g}$ is a complex simple Lie algebra. It provides an efficient way to compute certain polynomials which allows us to provide a finite set of numbers at which the tensor product of Kirillov-Reshetikhin modules of Yangians may fail to be cyclic.
The Yangian double $\text{DY}_{\hbar}(\mathfrak{g}_N)$ is introduced for the classical types of $\mathfrak{g}_N=\mathfrak{o}_{2n+1}$, $\mathfrak{sp}_{2n}$, $\mathfrak{o}_{2n}$. Via the Gauss decomposition of the generator matrix, the Yangian double is given the Drinfeld presentation. In addition, bosonization of level $1$ realizations for the Yangian double $\text{DY}_{\hbar}(\mathfrak{g}_N)$ of non-simply-laced types are explicitly constructed.
Let $\mathfrak{g}$ be a symmetrizable Kac-Moody algebra with associated Yangian $Y_\hbar\mathfrak{g}$ and Yangian double $\mathrm{D}Y_\hbar\mathfrak{g}$. An elementary result of fundamental importance to the theory of Yangians is that, for each $c\in \mathbb{C}$, there is an automorphism $τ_c$ of $Y_\hbar\mathfrak{g}$ corresponding to the translation $t\mapsto t+c$ of the complex plane. Replacing $c$ by a formal parameter $z$ yields the so-called formal shift homomorphism $τ_z$ from $Y_\hbar\mathfrak{g}$ to the polynomial algebra $Y_\hbar\mathfrak{g}[z]$. We prove that $τ_z$ uniquely extends t…
Let $\mathfrak{g}$ be a finite-dimensional simple Lie algebra over $\mathbb{C}$, and let $Y_{\hbar}(\mathfrak{g})$ be the Yangian of $\mathfrak{g}$. In this paper, we study the sets of poles of the rational currents defining the action of $Y_{\hbar}(\mathfrak{g})$ on an arbitrary finite-dimensional vector space $V$. Using a weak, rational version of Frenkel and Hernandez' Baxter polynomiality, we obtain a uniform description of these sets in terms of the Drinfeld polynomials encoding the composition factors of $V$ and the inverse of the $q$-Cartan matrix of $\mathfrak{g}$. We then apply this d…
We introduce super Yangians of $\mathfrak{gl}(V),\mathfrak{sl}(V)$ (in the new Drinfeld realization) associated to all Dynkin diagrams of $\mathfrak{gl}(V)$, where $V$ is a finite-dimensional super vector space. We show that all of them are isomorphic to the super Yangians introduced by Maxim Nazarov, by identifying them with the corresponding RTT super Yangians. However, their "positive halves" are not pairwise isomorphic, and we obtain the shuffle algebra realizations of those. We adapt the latter to the trigonometric setup by obtaining the shuffle algebra realizations of the "positive halve…
We study the Yangian $Y_n$ associated to the general linear Lie algebra $\mathfrak{gl}_n$ over a field of positive characteristic, as well as its shifted analog $Y_n(σ)$. Our main result gives a description of the centre of $Y_n(σ)$: it is a polynomial algebra generated by its Harish-Chandra centre (which lifts the centre in characteristic zero) together with a large $p$-centre. Moreover, $Y_n(σ)$ is free as a module over its center. In future work, it will be seen that every reduced enveloping algebra $U_χ(\mathfrak{gl}_n)$ is Morita equivalent to a quotient of an appropriate choice of shifte…
Notes on a homomorphism from the affine Yangian associated with $\hat{\mathfrak{sl}}(n)$ to the affine Yangian associated with $\widehat{\mathfrak{sl}}(n+1)$
We prove the equivalence of two presentations of the Yangian $Y(\mathfrak{g})$ of a simple Lie algebra $\mathfrak{g}$ and we also show the equivalence with a third presentation when $\mathfrak{g}$ is either an orthogonal or a symplectic Lie algebra. As an application, we obtain an explicit correspondence between two versions of the classification theorem of finite-dimensional irreducible modules for orthogonal and symplectic Yangians.
We construct a four-parameter family of affine Yangian algebras by gluing two copies of the affine Yangian of $\mathfrak{gl}_1$. Our construction allows for gluing operators with arbitrary (integer or half integer) conformal dimension and arbitrary (bosonic or fermionic) statistics, which is related to the relative framing. The resulting family of algebras is a two-parameter generalization of the $\mathcal{N}=2$ affine Yangian, which is isomorphic to the universal enveloping algebra of $\mathfrak{u}(1)\oplus \mathcal{W}^{\mathcal{N}=2}_{\infty}[λ]$. All algebras that we construct have natural …
S. Ovsienko proved that the Gelfand-Tsetlin variety for $\mathfrak{gl}_n$ is equidimensional (i.e., all its irreducible components have the same dimension) of dimension $\frac{n(n-1)}{2}$. This result is known as Ovsienko's Theorem and it has important consequences in Representation Theory of Algebras. In this paper, we will study the Gelfand-Tsetlin varieties for restricted Yangian $Y_p(\mathfrak{gl}_n)$ and the equidimensionality for $Y_p(\mathfrak{gl}_3)$.
We study degenerations of Bethe subalgebras $B(C)$ in the Yangian $Y(\mathfrak{gl}_n)$, where $C$ is a regular diagonal matrix. We show that closure of the parameter space of the family of Bethe subalgebras, which parametrizes all possible degenerations, is the Deligne-Mumford moduli space of stable rational curves $\overline{M_{0,n+2}}$. All subalgebras corresponding to the points of $\overline{M_{0,n+2}}$ are free and maximal commutative. We describe explicitly the "simplest" degenerations and show that every degeneration is the composition of the simplest ones. The Deligne-Mumford space $\o…
The localized equivariant homology of the quiver variety of type $A_{N-1}^{(1)}$ can be identified with the level one Fock space by assigning a normalized torus fixed point basis to certain symmetric functions, Jack($\mathfrak{gl}_N$) symmetric functions introduced by Uglov. We show that this correspondence is compatible with actions of two algebras, the Yangian for $\mathfrak{sl}_N$ and the affine Lie algebra $\hat{\mathfrak{sl}}_N$, on both sides. Consequently we obtain affine Yangian action on the Fock space.
In this thesis, we study the cyclicity condition for an ordered tensor product of fundamental representations and the local Weyl modules of Yangians. When $\mathfrak{g}$ is a classical simple Lie algebra or the simple Lie algebra of type $G$, we make the cyclicity condition concrete, which leads to an irreducibility criterion for the ordered tensor product $L$. In the case…
Let ${\mathfrak g}$ be a complex semisimple Lie algebra, and $Y_h({\mathfrak g})$, $U_q(L{\mathfrak g})$ the corresponding Yangian and quantum loop algebra, with deformation parameters related by $q=\exp(πi h)$. When $h$ is not a rational number, we constructed in arXiv:1310.7318 a faithful functor $Γ$ from the category of finite-dimensional representations of $Y_h ({\mathfrak g})$ to those of $U_q(L{\mathfrak g})$. The functor $Γ$ is governed by the additive difference equations defined by the commuting fields of the Yangian, and restricts to an equivalence on a subcategory of $Y_h({\mathfrak…
Starting from a finite-dimensional representation of the Yangian $Y(\mathfrak{g})$ for a simple Lie algebra $\mathfrak{g}$ in Drinfeld's original presentation, we construct a Hopf algebra $X_\mathcal{I}(\mathfrak{g})$, called the extended Yangian, whose defining relations are encoded in a ternary matrix relation built from a specific $R$-matrix $R(u)$. We prove that there is a surjective Hopf algebra morphism $X_\mathcal{I}(\mathfrak{g})\twoheadrightarrow Y(\mathfrak{g})$ whose kernel is generated as an ideal by the coefficients of a central matrix $\mathcal{Z}(u)$. When the underlying represe…
This paper concerns the relation between the quantum toroidal algebras and the affine Yangians of $\mathfrak{sl}_n$, denoted by $\mathcal{U}^{(n)}_{q_1,q_2,q_3}$ and $\mathcal{Y}^{(n)}_{h_1,h_2,h_3}$, respectively. Our motivation arises from the milestone work of Gautam and Toledano Laredo, where a similar relation between the quantum loop algebra $U_q(L \mathfrak{g})$ and the Yangian $Y_h(\mathfrak{g})$ has been established by constructing an isomorphism of $\mathbb{C}[[\hbar]]$-algebras $Φ:\widehat{U}_{\exp(\hbar)}(L\mathfrak{g})\to \widehat{Y}_\hbar(\mathfrak{g})$ (with $\ \widehat{}\ $ sta…

Let $e$ be an arbitrary even nilpotent element in the general linear Lie superalgebra $\mathfrak{gl}_{M|N}$ and let $\mathcal{W}_e$ be the associated finite $W$-superalgebra. Let $Y_{m|n}$ be the super Yangian associated to the Lie superalgebra $\mathfrak{gl}_{m|n}$. A subalgebra of $Y_{m|n}$, called the shifted super Yangian and denoted by $Y_{m|n}(σ)$, is defined and studied. Moreover, an explicit isomorphism between $\mathcal{W}_e$ and a quotient of $Y_{m|n}(σ)$ is established.
Let $G=\operatorname{O}(1,n+1)$ with maximal compact subgroup $K$ and let $Π$ be a unitary irreducible representation of $G$ with non-trivial $(\mathfrak{g},K)$-cohomology. Then $Π$ occurs inside a principal series representation of $G$, induced from the $\operatorname{O}(n)$-representation $\bigwedge\nolimits^p(\mathbb{C}^n)$ and characters of a minimal parabolic subgroup of $G$ at the limit of the complementary series. Considering the subgroup $G'=\operatorname{O}(1,n)$ of $G$ with maximal compact subgroup $K'$, we prove branching laws and explicit Plancherel formulas for the restrictions to…
We study the truncated shifted Yangian $Y_{n,l}(σ)$ over an algebraically closed field $\mathbb{k}$ of characteristic $p > 0$, which is known to be isomorphic to the finite $W$-algebra $U(\mathfrak{g}, e)$ associated to a corresponding nilpotent element $e\in \mathfrak{g} = \mathfrak{gl}_N(\mathbb{k})$. We obtain an explicit description of the centre of $Y_{n,l}(σ)$, showing that it is generated by its Harish-Chandra centre and its $p$-centre. We define $Y_{n,l}^{[p]}(σ)$ to be the quotient of $Y_{n,l}(σ)$ by the ideal generated by the kernel of trivial character of its $p$-centre. Our main th…
Given a complex semisimple Lie algebra ${\mathfrak g}$ and a commutative ${\mathbb C}$-algebra $A$, let ${\mathfrak g}[A] = {\mathfrak g} \otimes A$ be the corresponding generalized current algebra. In this paper we explore questions involving the computation and finite-dimensionality of extension groups for finite-dimensional ${\mathfrak g}[A]$-modules. Formulas for computing $\operatorname{Ext}^{1}$ and $\operatorname{Ext}^{2}$ between simple ${\mathfrak g}[A]$-modules are presented. As an application of these methods and of the use of the first cyclic homology, we completely describe $\oper…

Generalizing our recent joint paper with Vasily Pestun (arXiv:2001.04929), we construct a family of $SO(2r),Sp(2r),SO(2r+1)$ rational Lax matrices, polynomial in the spectral parameter, parametrized by the divisors on the projective line with coefficients being dominant integral coweights of associated Lie algebras. To this end, we provide the RTT realization of the antidominantly shifted extended Drinfeld Yangians of $\mathfrak{so}_{2r}, \mathfrak{sp}_{2r}, \mathfrak{so}_{2r+1}$, and of their coproduct homomorphisms. This establishes some of the recent conjectures in the physics literature by…
We prove how the Yangian of $\mathfrak{gl}_N$ in its RTT presentation and Olshanski's twisted Yangians for the orthogonal and symplectic Lie algebras can be obtained by a degeneration process from the corresponding quantum loop algebra and some of its twisted analogues.
We define an action of the degenerate two boundary braid algebra $\mathcal{G}_d$ on the $\mathbb{C}$-vector space $M\otimes N\otimes V^{\otimes d}$, where $M$ and $N$ are arbitrary modules for the general linear Lie superalgebra $\mathfrak{gl}(n|m)$, and $V$ is the natural representation. When $M$ and $N$ are parametrized by rectangular hook Young diagrams, this action factors through a quotient $\mathcal{H}^{\operatorname{ext}}_d$. The irreducible summands of $M\otimes N\otimes V^{\otimes d}$ for the centralizer of $\mathfrak{gl}(n|m)$, remain irreducible once regarded as modules for this quo…
We construct a family of $GL_n$ rational and trigonometric Lax matrices $T_D(z)$ parametrized by $Λ^+$-valued divisors $D$ on $\mathbb{P}^1$. To this end, we study the shifted Drinfeld Yangians $Y_μ(\mathfrak{gl}_n)$ and quantum affine algebras $U_{μ^+,μ^-}(L\mathfrak{gl}_n)$, which slightly generalize their $\mathfrak{sl}_n$-counterparts. Our key observation is that both algebras admit the RTT type realization when $μ$ (respectively, $μ^+$ and $μ^-$) are antidominant coweights. We prove that $T_D(z)$ are polynomial in $z$ (up to a rational factor) and obtain explicit simple formulas for those…
